Politics › Why Is Everybody Obsessed About The Igbos by murphyibiam15(op): 8:37pm On Jun 13, 2016
i have been reading most articles with keen interest here on nairaland and have realised there is serious obsession about the igbos....
everybody focuses on the igbo even when there are not the key players for e.g AVENGERS bomb oil installations people wont call IJAW this and IJAW that,u wiil still be seeing all accusations on igbos

Almost everyday u will see 100 threads mentioning igbos not having enough oil or why they cant have biafra

my question is: why this obsession about igbos why why why and why?

I used to be a Sinner thinking Men must do all the sh*t, make women laugh, use the cocky lines, chas vigorously, use all tricks of the game. Then one day I became a saved creature and came to realize that relationships are two way streets, like a see saw, the man should put in effort as much as the woman would. Every Man is special, and shouldn't hustle hard for what would end up being a symbiotic if not parasitic relationship.
bro u're wise....i totally concur with u

listen up, I am deltan from Anioma root and I grew up with some urhobos, isokos, ijaws, itsekiris etc
these guys will betray Biafra again if war breaks out. Take this to the bank.
Igbos should learn to join hands within themselves alone and fight for their own interest and stop this Igbo/SS minorities brouhaha.
- many of this SS minorities(except Akwa iboms and Calabars) are taught from small age to hate Igbos and many still don't trust Igbos.
Leave these people alone and fight for your own interest.
TRUTH IS BITTER BUT WE MUST EMBRACE IT.
i concur with you

The truth is, Yoruba is more of a nation than tribe. I have never seen a Yoruba person that can not speak/understand the central Yoruba ( I am not ruling out the possibility though). Maybe because Yoruba language (akooto ede yoruba) was made compulsory in all the primary and secondary school across the Yoruba land since independence.
okay..nice one

WARRI - SUSPECTED militants on Wednesday evening attacked a military
houseboat and allegedly killed two soldiers at Efe-Ugbokodo area in Warri
South Local Government Area of Delta State.
A security source, who spoke to Vanguard on phone, said the attack
occurred around 6.30 p.m.
“I cannot give you details of the incident but I can confirm to you that a
military houseboat was attacked by suspected militants.
“I cannot confirm the number of causalities to you right now as details of
the incident is still trickling in, but am sure that later today, we would get
details on the true position of things,” the source added.
Vanguard learned that only two soldiers were guarding the houseboat
when the militants, who understand the terrain very well struck.
Majority of the soldiers were said to have gone on their different beats in
the creeks and the militants studied their movement.

There are so many dialects, clans and languages among the Yorubas that deserve a mention here because the groups are even more populated than some of those listed above eg Ijebu, Ondo, Oyo, Ijesha, Ife, Igbomina, Ilaje, Ekiti and many more.

Yorubas have a unifying Language though, and that is their biggest strength
wao...it then means yoruba race is more diverse than i thought...what about those who cant speak the unifying yoruba language?
