I want to believe that my readers followed the Naira swap issue when it was on last year.

All my adult life I have never seen an economic policy as wise as that.
Note that I don't claim to know all that is involved but what I know is that we where to then get a billion dollar worth of China currency then.
Most of our export are paid for in dollar that is why we have too much pressure on dollar. whereas 60% of it comes from China and as at then the Chinese currency was a third of what the dollar was.
So China was to give us it currency worth a billion dollar in exchange for Naira
Therefore for anything you are bringing from China we use the excess Chinese currency to sort it out.
That will reduce the pressure on dollar a lot since use addly produce things in d us but in China.
I was discussing with a friend asking what happened to the deal. He said US will not be happy with the deal that is why they didn't go ahead with the deal
Government in US have changed hands to a man who doesn't care much about pleasing others. Why can't we strike the deal now.

I attended a marriage ceremony yesterday and this is what I witnessed. Former Governor of Sokoto State, now serving Senator throwing wads of two hundred naira notes on Hapless People. It was a ruckus and many people were injured trying to snap up the flying cash. It has always been his favorite sight seeing people struggling to catch the cash just like you will throw grains to chicken. During his tenure 36bn naira meant for state independent power project went missing as the IPP never materialized. This is just one out of the many shady deals that happened during his administration. This guy would have been cooling his feet in EFCC cell if APC was not in power and if not for the fact that the present governor, Tanmbuwal, was his lackey.

Speaking from a neutral point of view, I see no wrong in what the Deji dude have done concerning the title change. If you are so ignorant as to call yourself king in someone's land when you are a mere representative, then putting you back in your place is in order. Imagine Nigerian ambassador in US being referred to as President and Commander-chief of Nigeria. It smacks of absolute ignorance, nasisscism, head-honchoism, and nomansland mentality. The rule of thumb is to respect the culture and norms of your host. That is what some igbo bad elements fail to do in the north. They go about insulting their hosts' way of life and religion in an 'in your face fashion' and when you have Hausa bad elements then you have a recipe for disaster.
