Israel and Palestine are two different geographical entities presently. And West Bank and Jerusalem are not the same cities. They are miles apart.

And yes Israel considers the whole of West Bank as part of its occupied territory, so west bank is Israel for now. Finally, East Jerusalem, which Israel consider as part of Isreal too, is in the west bank, Jerusalem and west bank are not "miles apart" mister. Perhaps you are under the assumption that West Bank is a town on itself. West Bank is a geographical location consisting of many towns. Look it up before you engage in unnecessary and silly argument. On the Arab Israeli, I think you are the one that has a "deep rooted comprehension problem" here. On the issue of voting rights, residents of Gaza, East Jerusalem and other regions in the west bank cannot vote even though Israel consider those areas as part of its territory.

Arab Israelis are polled to be deeply satisfied about their standard of living in Israel than Arabs in every other country that borders Israel. I'm not saying Israel does not commit atrocities in Palestine. But within the geographical confines of the state of Israel and especially Jerusalem, the native Muslim population are protected.

That the three religions lay claim to Jerusalem is why there may appear to be bad-blood. But at the end of the day, both Muslims, Christians, and Jews in Jerusalem go to bed with both eyes closed knowing no one is planning to eliminate the other. It's a shared heritage. Jews can't destroy the Mosque of Oman. Same way Muslims can't take down the temple wall. Same way Christians can't lay claim to the temple site.

If Muslims, Christians, and Jews can live in Jerusalem peacefully, Muslims and Christians can live in peace in Nigeria. That is my point.

Arabs in Isreal can't vote in national polls. Are these your definition of protection? On the other hand Israeli children have to be escorted wherever they go in the west bank.
