You don't need transit visa for Delta, Emirates, Turkish, Royal Air Maroc, Qatar, Etihad..

Maybe also KLM, Lufthansa, Ethiopian (make sure the flight direct to Newark, not passing through Canada), Virgin Atlantic and British Airways (make sure there is no change of terminal sha: the first group above are certain).

@ladylco. Happy Birthday yesterday. I missed the cake.

My POE is LAX and most of these airlines make stops in their base country eg. Dubai, Istanbul, Doha, Paris and co.

Under what conditions wouldnt i generally require a Transit visa?
Like if one doesnt step out of the airport, it wouldnt be required ya?
Sorry bout the long question.

I greet all of una, Boss BJ keep it on.

Abeg if dem give me visa to attend a conference in usa, after d program I fit work small before I come back 9ja??

You will most likely be stamped for 6months on entry, meaning you shouldnt stay more than that, if after your conference you stay a while back and hustle, no one is stopping you but its gonna be an abuse of d visa tho and illegal. Remember you told the VO and CBP officer you wud b spending a few days, if you stay too much longer it could raise eye brow on your next entry, but the real problem will be if you stay longer than the 6months

Spent the entire weekend reading through this thread from page one, was like reading a novel for real like someone already said.

Nice thread BJ, you are a resourceful and sharp guy like myself
Greetings to everyone else. We will all make it in the end but you have to follow your own path, not anyone else's and also do a lot of research.

Knowledge is the most powerful tool anyone can have.

Before i got my b1b2 last year, i put in almost a years worth of research and investigation and i got it on my first attempt with virgin passports for myself and all members of my family, without paying anything to anyone.

Right now i can be an immigration lawyer sef with all the amount of knowledge and information ive gathered about the entire US immigration process.

What ive realised is that theres nothing we the youth of Nigeria cannot achieve if we were enabled, thats why we travel out and do get very successful in whatever we venture.

Hope to be in the states by next month God willing.
BLOW..success with your interview mehn.

Human are cruel, human inhumanity to man has no sign of ending soon.
This is a story of organisation I worked for first or last Bank.
I have no regrets for leaving, coz I have made my money and even defrauded d bank, dat dey can't find out anytime soon. Mumu bank.
I'm am writing this bcoz of d complains I got lately from guys still working with Dem called service executive.
Service executives are the engine room of first bank, they are used to there last blood with peanut as salary.
Promise upon promise of adding meagre amount to there pay has not been fulfilled up till date, this are people who have equal certificates or more with there supervisors.
Even if u can't convert dem, increase there pay to a good standard, dat dey won't grumble with money to move dem to steal.
The mumu heads (CEO, hcmd, and branches senior staff) are there to pound more and more work on u, smile all the time to customers, than to compensate u for good job done. U will all rot in hell.
Are these Junior staff not human?
Some have family to cater for, some live life miserably, but Wat is there since to go to polytechnics and get job with dem.
The Ricos, senior staff don't want to see u grow,
Rico's eat anything they like from branches wen they visit, sn have there ways of cutting contract money, inflate receipt, etc
People are working for u, u find it difficult to send dem for training, senior staff go for training and claim money massively.
First Bank stingy bank, other organizations will appreciate there staff in December by giving goodies for dem to enjoy with there families, but since I knew Fbn, dey av Neva done dat even till this time of recession.
senior staff are entitled to Pay for performance (when most of them do no work), profit sharing,up-front, other mouth watering allowances, but the HND and OND working for them are just entitled to their meagre monthly salaries.
They said there is recession they laid off drivers, cleaners, secretaries, people leaving on meagre pay,
Whereas a salary of single top official can pay all junior staff.
They employed lower credit people, so that it will be hard for dem to ask for their rights.
Promised when they get to top position they will convert service executives, till date, those people are still hoping,
When it's time for conversion, they have there own picks, they want to bring in..
I need to enter my former branch and slap some of those cruel supervisors, idiots, mumu.
Because u are in position of power, u thread anyhow
A good organization should structure a pathway for growth, when new ones come in, let old ones in service resign or retire and create job with there accumulation so far.
First Bank, make ur work place a happy and conducive environment to work
Nigeria leaders are doing there own, grass root people are doing same, when will Nigerians get rid of this cruel people, the change has begun!!!!!!
Nb :
Some are witnessing same In other organizations.
Mystery shoppers you are not left out, traitors of service executives.
If all of you do not have a positive change of mind, may woe betide you all

The Change has begun really? By you stealing from them?. You are not serious if not you wont come here and brag about a crime you committed, dont you know that's what makes you get caught?. Because you manage to move measly 700k u feeling like one crime lord.

How are you guys doing my fellow First Bank Nigeria staff? Or should I say "hopeful staff or future staff?" grin

Well, I just can't help but laugh out loud at some comments here. I'm talking about the little debate over sharing of information and all.

First of all, ever since this AC started, all the information shared here are just generic information and not detailed information, yes, those who shared just scratched the surface and I'm not surprised though, the average Nigerian doesn't wanna admit that deep inside he/she doesn't want you to be better than him/her at anything in life, even in a recruitment process. Look here, I'm not compelling anyone to share detailed information please, because I'm sure some people are already tired of unemployment and can't afford to give details to another fellow competitor.

But what makes me laugh is how you guys come out and give out "surface scratched" information and be feeling all benevolent like some Santa Claus or Father Christmas (as colloquially called here in Nigeria) who has helped others when in your minds you all know you tried your best not to be too "helpful" in disclosing too much details that would help the next candidate. No need for all the sly moves please. Its not like the information shared here of the AC is any different from the ones of the last recruitment thread, you guys just gave the same details posted there years ago in your own words with the intent of not wanting to be too detailed.

To all of your forming Mr/Ms benevolent and attacking the lady who was asking people to stop sharing information you guys should take a chill pill, the information you guys shared are pretty inconsequential to anyone who knows his/her onions on how to pass in an assessment centre process. You guys are forming good guys when most of the stuff you all posted are shallow and generic information. And to the lady telling people to stop sharing more information, sister do you need the job that bad? grin Well, that's your freaking business!

Well, as for me, I got good news for anyone who is not competently assured of passing AC and who would be conducting their AC after mine, because after my AC, I would give details that would not only be expositorily detailed but would having glaring "expos" (as Nigerians call it) grin

You heard me right, yeah baby! ... I'm gonna run my mouth like a parrot bribed with chocolate grin Yes, I would go all loquacious because I want to challenge Nigerian recruiters to be more intelligent and well-rounded in core talent profiling, we basically have talent interviewers in Nigeria and don't have talent prolifers, we need to upgrade! Have you ever taken a well constructed IQ test set by professionals before now? Try that of International high IQ Society and see yourself, you can google them and go through their website. Even if your friend gives you full details of the questions he came across in a well constructed IQ test, it would never help you score higher than your actual IQ rating, that's how recruitment assessment should be as well, that's the level we should be at.

I'd be conducting my AC at the tail end of the AC process so you guys that are the very last batch or last week batches of AC should prepare to use my name as testimony in your churches to tell how God used one "Scented" from Nairaland to give you an easy hand in passing your AC grin

I'm tried of typing, I need to rest my pretty eyes, lest my boss accuses me of going for clubbing tonight as a result of cloudy eyes in the morning, so I'm out of here!

Ciao! smiley
I think you can give people a little more credit than this, ofcos its a competition and every body wants to be a winner.
It doesnt make any sense for someone to spill verbatim the entire questions(which isnt even possible), except the "core" which is d group issh because it transcends to other areas, of the AC.
And once that group discussion is shared it places the receivers of the info at a very unfairly advantaged positions over the rest.
Those pointers shared here would still help in a little way those that adhere to them.
And you probably have this opinion because you havent had yours yet, when you do Im sure you'd realise that most people have tried their best to be helpful without placing themselves at a disadvantage.

Thanks for your kind comments>

The numerical and logical tests are a bit harder than what we wrote last December. Personally i didnt find most of the questions easy. With time breathing down my neck, i gambled some of them. Not to discourage u though, u might find them simpler than I did. I will say the structure is closer to SHL for the numerical. The logical now come add some small numerical questions join. I was surprised.

Goodluck!
Im telling you the numerical and logical wasn't funny, Logical was now More numerical on top.
My own advice to the few remaining would be to
1. Take down ur points during the group chat, you'd need them all through.
2. Learn your PPT
3. Rehearse well for your Interview, its gonna be quite drilling.Info on the type of questions have been posted (and I wouldn't in other not to over share info).
4. Work on your essay writing skill
5. Dress very smartly
6. Try and move fast in your 3 tests, you may be unable to finish if you slow
Be optimistic!
Whatever happens, its still all good.

Okay guys great reasoning so far. I wish there was an answer from where I got the question.

Here is another case to crack!

The client First Gulf Bank (FGB, ADX: FGB) is a large retail bank headquartered in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the Middle East. The bank provides financial services across the UAE, with a wide distribution network of branches in different business & industrial areas such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, and Al Ain. Within the UAE, it is also often known by its Arabic name Bank Al Khaleej Al Awal.

Even though banking and financial services industry has the fastest growing rate in the Middle East region, the client First Gulf Bank is losing market share. Its technology and service levels are just as good as any of its foreign competitors. The CEO of FGB wants to know why this is happening and what could be done to reverse the trend of his bank’s declining market share. You have been hired as a consultant to advise him. What would you do? What recommendations would you give to the CEO of FGB?
Its an indigenous bank loosing market share to its international competitors.
1.The banks retail strategy needs to be evaluated, and a look into what retails strategy its leading competitors are adopting so as to get a cue from there. In other words, do what the competition is doing.
2.Since its technology and service are top notch, the banks product offerings should also be looked into,
A. What are the highest performing products
B. What are the least performing products
C. What products are the competition offering that FGB isn't.
3.A customer survey should be Carried out through all the banks channels to ascertain the level of customer satisfaction and needs and area of improvements for the customers. This should be the very 1st like of action.

We r here complaining we don't know salary, this thread has over 80 pages and I can tell you most definitely that the salary has been posted more than twice already, if u actually came late to the thread, what stops you from reading previous pages?

There is an old thread for the last recruitment on this site, I and I can also tell u all for sure that after the AC stage salary was stated. Ppl diacussed the stages in details. If this job is really important to you, what stops you from searching? I Infact the link to that thread has been posted severally on this thread

We all are looking for this job together, yet u can't put in extra effort to get info to make u stronger? U want ur fellow contestants(That's how I view it) To spoon feed u? Smh.
I remember during the time we wrote the test, the link to download the dragnet and GMAT questions would be posted and immediately, a graduate will come and type, can someone help with the link? Without even reading Tru that very page talk more of Tru the entire thread.

I don't know how ppl reason though, but as for me, immediately I got invite for the first stage, I read Tru over 120 pages of the last threats with keen interest to abreast myself, all my questions were answered.

Some questions here are just annoying and u wonder how some ppl once made it Tru Uni. No offense intended.
We need each other on this thread, if someone can't tell u the salary y can't u try and get the figure and tell others.

My one cent though.

Success to those writing today, the May God bless our hustle.

Look here, if basic and elementary comprehension is your problem you need to go back to primary school and brush it up.

My disgust at the elusive manner at which we handle salary issues was a general outlook at the entire issue and you can read where I kept on stating- "we Nigerians," I wasn't directing anything directly to the AY guy. And you claim facts about salaries are online if you research, dude or miss, those are basically assumptions and usual guesswork.

Its annoying that in my country salary is a guesswork when developed countries have gone past that stage, and yet we want to develop.

If everybody in the world happen to reason like you, trekking will still be the fastest means of transportation. And you said I'm typing poo, its you who should stop wasting his/her time typing the drivel you typed. Have a great weekend okay?

That line doesn't even make any sense.

Its people prerogative to reveal or not reveal what they earn to the general public, except under oath.

Enough with the comparison to developed countries already, even there people don't reveal their salaries.

If you want to know what first bank pays, go and do your research, you obviously don't read because I had posted the information here a few pages back.

Keep up with your slight its of no consequence to me. Have a good day yourself.

Why is it that in Nigeria we make it so much of an issue just to state salary?

This is a faceless forum and no one knows you so why do people still find it hard to state exact salary which would help others in making decisions?

I still find it hard why we Nigerians act this crude and conservative even when there is no need to be, the way Nigerians hide salaries even on faceless forums you'd think there is something more special to it. If its a face to face thing I'd understand because some people don't want you to know their financial status - be it small or big, and hence get very protective over it, that still is not worth it to me though.

Ay4sho, you have been helpful but please stop using this condescending and crude demeanour Nigerians and Nigerian employers are used to of saying salary can be known after you are employed already, we need to stop this. What type of country is this? Something as professional as salary is made to look like a behind doors secret sexual activity
that only a selected few should know.

In saner countries, salaries are even stated on the job advert. I don't blame Nigerians though, it because of the high unemployment that make them treat people this way, and its because of it that many job seekers under value themselves as well.

Whenever you ask a Nigerian about the salary of a firm, they would either lie, or give one excuse of why its supposedly not defined, you'd start hearing complex explanations of how its this and that, is it that hard to state that- "As for mine, I was paid N180,000 as an entry level staff after training school", is that so hard to state?

Mind you, those who wanna get an exact picture of salaries of a specific organisation are not "greedy" and wanting to talk more about money first before the job but some of them want to compare salary structure to enable them compare other job offers to decide which to go for.

I sign off here, those that want to continue mystifying salaries you guys can carry on, but as for me I will never, even where I work at the moment I state it, and when I get this First Bank offer of employment I would equally state it to help others.

All this talk about something that if you properly research you will find the information you are looking for.The guy Ay you say is using a "crude and condescending" behavior doesnt even work with the bank and probably doesn't have the information you seek.
If you wanna tell everyone your salary its your personal prerogative, some other people may not be so disposed as alot of people think its a personal information for obvious reasons someone has stated.
The people on this thread don't work for First bank but are rather seeking the employment, so its only normal that most of them don't know that the remuneration is, if you really do want to know what first bank pays go and do your research and stop wasting your time typing Shit here.

I posted a link earlier to the previous recruitment thread, all the info required is there.
I think they mentioned there that the TS is 43k per month and the first 6months after TS is 160something and then subsequently 130something after confirmation.
The reduction is because you'd now be entitled to benefits and allowances and co.
