You will only end up wasting your time if you do.

But if you have been loading data through VTU platforms...

Then this post is for you.

Earlier this morning, VTU users across the country woke up to the rude shock of astronomical increase in the price of all MTN data plans (SME, CG and Mega).

It would have been bearable if it was a 5% or 10% increase.

But, MTN, the "Lord of Airtime and Data" in Nigeria suddenly decided in its wisdom to jack up the price of data by over 30%.

What this means is that...

MTN SME 1gb data which used to cost N241 suddenly went up to N321

And MTN SME 10gb data which used to cost N2,410 also went up to N3,210

Which is very high indeed.

What this also means is that...

Resellers who were selling MTN SME data plans for cheaper than that are now faced with a decision.

Either to continue selling MTN SME data at their old prices and experience huge losses.

Or, jack up their prices too in line with this new increase.

But, in the midst of this increase...

I find that MTN CORPORATE (CG) data plans are still far cheaper than the MTN SME data plans.

For instance...

MTN CORPORATE 500mb = N134
MTN CORPORATE 1gb = N268
MTN CORPORATE 2gb = N535
MTN CORPORATE 3gb = N803
MTN CORPORATE 5gb = N1,338
MTN CORPORATE 10gb = N2,675
MTN CORPORATE 20gb = 5,350

All data plans are valid for 30 days.

So, how do you take advantage of this price increase by MTN?

As a consumer...

You can switch to MTN CORPORATE (CG) data as it is far cheaper right now than MTN SME data.

And as a reseller...

You can increase your prices slightly while you resell MTN CORPORATE (CG) data in place of MTN SME data.

So, the data price increase is not so bad after all.

It promises to be a win-win-win for everyone.

By the way, it is only MTN that has increased its data prices across its various data channels.

The data prices of other network providers such as Glo, Airtel and 9mobile have remained the same.

Anyway, if your high expenses on data has been a source of concern for you...

You can take advantage of the cheaper data plans at VTU YARD.

And, yes, the data plans of Glo, Airtel and 9mobile are also available on VTU YARD.
