For those accumulating stocks now, it's better to do so at LOW BIDS.
During trading yesterday, GUARANTY rose suddenly to 43.60, stayed there for a while and people started rushing in, only to close at 41.50 (almost 5% loss)
Today, DANGOTE SUGAR sucked people in at 20.20 only to close at 19.00 (about 6% loss)
Just observing.... |

locodemy: Tomorrow being the final work day will be better.Sellers will be more than buyers so I think below 26.55 is achievable. Yes, over 25m offer. Some big offers there might be pulled off before market close and dumped at market price, crashing the price further. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by musty00: 1:31pm On Jun 13, 2018 |
locodemy: Adding more at 26.80 will not be a bad idea. My exposure at Upl was reduced to 70% two days ago. Zenith was around 33 when i bought Upl at 2.05.
ZENITH WILL MAKE US PROUD AT DUE TIME. Yes! |

Mcy56: Seems it's only japaul that waka come today. Those in it should just be cautious, it's getting to its peak from 20k....... let it reverse so another loading opportunity can show up again
I'm been tempted to enter at that price 34k, but nay, I shall not be tempted to enter high Hmm....that TEMPTATION Anybody buying Japaul at current price must have plenty passion for risk. If you MUST buy Japaul, you better do so at 20k to minimize your risk. |

yok: MSCI MOVEMENT FOR 12 JUNE 2018
The fund maintained a clean state yesterday.
However, I observed an interesting thing in the market, some equities are showing good volume/upward movement in prices which is an indicator that some Institutional investors are sneaking into the market. Example of a stock that is about to get to a new height is Ikeja Hotels (close above 2.75 will be a good buy), the volume is good and in terms of fundamentals there are some positives for this stock, I will continue on this in my next post.
Fund movement http://portfolios.morningstar.com/fund/holdings?t=NGE, compare with figure for yok’s post https://www.nairaland.com/yok/posts. This shows we are still on track.
With the weekly NAV being positive and the monthly NAV negative figure below 10%, the risk in the market is still worth taking.
Using the fund’s portfolio as a guide, “green” mean buying while “red” is selling.

Due to the fact so many new people are coming to this forum and may not know this use of following the “big monies that move markets”, I will be indicating why/how to use the information. This will be a permanent future of my post to reduce some comments which may prevent the people that understand the system from confusion by people who have not followed how this started. My comment for today for anybody who is doubting the efficacy of following the fund is to look at my recent recommendations for the past 2 months.
They too don't know what to buy or sell again. |

Yayira: Zenith Zenith Zenith Is Zenith the only stock on NSE ? Or is it the only stock that did well both in q4 and q1 ? Nawah! This stock don carry too many passengers (including the faint of heart) that is why it has refused to bounce back since mark-down. Please don’t wait for Zenith @20 go and wait for SEPLAT @500 or GTB at @30 Biko, no vex! But, let me borrow Onegentleguy's words, My Dear, in this market don't be Lion hearted when you're supposed to be Chicken hearted, and Vice Versa. There are times when you do nothing, you don't need to sell, you don't need to buy. Dat's one! 2. Comments on this forum cannot move the price of big caps like Zenith, may be Japaul and co. |

onegentleguy: My dear so u still can't see that the market is already BULLISH !! I think the problem is with the fact that most of us are holding up to the uncut and funny belief that the market must move at the pace it did in January before ever we can say or infer that there is truly a BULL in our mist. This was how it started in December 2017. ...and while some were busy cherry picking from select good coys, others were either busy 'singing bear songs' or engulfed by the many extraneous noise. ...until the January pace-up came. The market is riding up now (albeit gradually), the underlying fundamentals are very much healthy and yet some are seen it as a ride down or maybe a fake bull.
DIAMOND has gone from less N1.20 to N1.68 FIDELITY has gone from N1.75 to near N2.45 FCMB has gone from less N1.90 to near N2.50 OUR TRANSCORP has gone from N1.15 to over N1.51 ZENITH has gone from less N24 to N28 C&I LEASING has gone from N1.31 to over N1.70 DANGOTE SUGAR has gone from N16.70 to over N20 ...to mention just a few. Yet some are not seen any BULL or even a REVERSAL. ...some are waiting for ZENITH at N3. ...apparently they aren't keeping an eye/tag on the index. They will keep waiting while a few others are already making money. ...and by the time they'll rush in (probably when they believe they've seen their so-called real/January bull), the wise/smart fellows will now sell to them. ...then they'll begin to lament of buying too high. ...and the circle continues !!
My Sincere advise is; do ur homework well and BUY once it's at a price that presents a good margin of safety from FAIR VALUE and is also in line with ur strategy and goal. Stop waiting for a January bull. ...and less I forget, I also think it will do some folks a lot of good to study the behaviour of the index and and how the various sectors particularly the NSE 30, BANKING, PENSION and PREMIUM align with/influence that behaviour.
...just a sincere piece of advice.
Regards. The part in bold is very key to me. So I cannot buy any stocks right now. That's why we all have different investment styles. |

Agbalowomeri: Market is forward looking; expecting Q2 to be factored in before June ending Yes, I know that. Most of the Q2 results will show July ending. The bull may show around early July (as it did last year). The wise ones would have sold even before the results come out, depending on your strategy though. The same theory applies to FY results, by the time results are coming out prices are falling. |

locodemy: Did the index loose yesterday? Bull is dwelling in our midst. Let this public holidays end first then we will see. If it comes it will be good for me, but I'm just wondering what will be the driver for any bull right now. There's often a trigger for a bull, like results, new developments, recovery, etc. The 4 day bull we saw recently was recovery from 11 straight days bashing. It was expected. Stocks cannot continue to fall forever. The crazy bull in January was return of FPI's following signs of stability after coming out of recession. The next bull I'm expecting now is around Q2 results, which is still a bit far away. For now, I foresee sideways trading for some time. I wish my thoughts are wrong though, because I'm still substantially in the market. |

This is an interesting time in the market. Still few buyers in the market which have kept most prices low.
Again, this is the season of buying at the support or better still demand point.

musty00: It appears this mini bull is over
Anyway till 2 pm sha.
Whichever way I made the best out of it Now that this young BULL has been dragged away to the bush....without much resistance, what are expectations for next week and beyond? Probably sideways trading, until the mini bull for Q2 results in July. Maybe a dead cat bounce next week. Just thinking.... |
