Agbalowomeri: The point is before applying to company Y, I am sure he must have weighed all these factors. He was only bothered about loyalty. Employers are not loyal o, why should I be? On point! |

wanaj0: It is not an exception. You don't know anything about Company X and Y to make an informed decision. It is what you know about company X and Y that will help you make a choice.
For example, will you move from SEPLAT to JAPAUL because JAPAUL is offering you double salary? Do you know whether Company Y is able to PAY what they are offering? Will you leave GTB to join a microfinance bank just because of better pay?
If the two companies are known, then you can evaluate the company to decide which one is BETTER. The corporate culture of the companies, their management etc should be considered.
There are many questions to be answered before making a decision. It is not all about 'immediate' CASH. These are very thoughtful considerations! However, it's a bit too late in his case. He should have thrown this question to the forum before telling Company X that he's leaving. Like others have said, the moment you tell a company that you're leaving, you just have to follow it through. Things will not be the same for you there again. I suppose he has already assessed the two companies in terms of their stability and sustainability of their offers. |

The BULL has to drink plenty RED BULL today in order to win. Dangote Cement has to participate actively. |

yok: MSCI MOVEMENT IN PORTFLIO FOR 6 JUNE 2018/GENERAL MARKET COMMENT
The market is coming alive little by little. The fund have started buying. This is a good relieve for the market. In the light of the recent bear market, there is need to be more nimble in the market. We observed that the market can fall faster than when it is rising.
Now I will stick to watching when the MSCI Net Asset Value (NAV) loses up to 5% on weekly basis, I will slow down and when the losses is 10% on monthly basis, I will exit the market as fast as possible.
Looking at what the fund is buying now, I am not a fan of most of them especially when I am practicing some “rogue trader” tactics to quickly collect some dividends that others have worked or did they suffer for it!!! Sorry I will not tell the name of any now we have named them in the past, the prices have fallen such that further price fall after my dividend collection is very minimal.
Using the fund’s portfolio as a guide, “green” mean buying while “red” is selling. Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Hope they will buy Zenith and Fidelity today If dem see buy sef. |

musty00: When you open NSE website, and you click on "Top 5 Trades", and you see only Banks (including heavy weight banks with heavy volumes), and you look to the left and see -1.30%, you don't feel good . Unless you're not in the market.
It seems the heavy weights (Dangote Cement, Guaranty, Zenith) are just about to start their own fall.
We need a magic tomorrow o, otherwise we have to wait a bit more for this bull. When you open NSE website, and you click on "Top 5 Trades", and you see only Banks (including heavy weight banks with heavy volumes), and you look to the left and see +2.46%, you feel very good . Unless you're not in the market. It seems the heavy weights (Dangote Cement, Guaranty, Zenith) are just about to rise again. We need this bull to continue tomorrow |

fxuser: severe bearish streak . .
Oct 2014: - oil broke below $90/bbl for the first time in over 3 yrs , d index started a 2 yr bearish trend
July 2015: - both oil and nseasi had a relief rally q1 of 2015 before the down trend continues . - oil rose 48 to $66 before heading down to $30 by 2016 jan
um na wa #JustObserving The loss of patience and lack of clear direction during the long wait for Buhari's ministerial list also contributed to the bearish sessions in 2015 |

Godisfaithful: Chief Loco, this is your answer: This your NUMBER 10! This was what reduced my profit on fidelity substantially earlier in the year. The memory is stuck in my head.....watching millions of bids at 4.33, and I didn't offload. Greed! Eventually offloaded at 3.xx. It's still my biggest profit on NSE though. We learn everyday |

Things are happening at lightening speed this year.
If the index loses on Monday (tomorrow), the losing streak this year will tie with what we witnessed around October/November 2014 (highest since 2010).
A reversal is likely soon.
Not a recommendation o.

yom2: is dangote cement d only stock in d market? pls focus on the field rather than focusing on d perimeter. it may even bounce back before d end of trade The truth is that you cannot ignore Dangote Cement, especially in a bear market. You see the way it brought the index to its knees today ( -3.38). if it continues like this on Monday, it could trigger panic selling of other stocks. You see, Guaranty eventually cracked today. Though a quick fall can make many stocks too tempting to ignore, and we may see bull. The way things are now, no one can tell. No recommendations here, please. |
