Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello says he has paid salaries for 38 months since he assumed office, and only owed the state workers four months’ salary. The governor said this following a claim by the state chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) that he owed the state workers between 8 to 38 salary arrears. But responding to the allegation, Kingsley Fanwo, spokesman of the governor, said the state government had paid salaries for 38 months since it came into power. Fanwo said this during a press briefing after an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting in Takete Ide Amuro in Mopamuro local government area, on Monday. “One of the questions our party members asked during the meeting was about the claim by labour that we are owing workers 38 months salaries,” he said. “As far as government is concerned, we have paid 38 months salaries starting from September 2015. We have been in office for just 39 months. But we are still owing four months’ salaries because we started paying from the period we are yet to assume power. “We are not in any power play with labour. We will continue to appreciate their understanding and we pledge to clear all arrears as soon as possible. “We know how pivotal salaries are to microeconomics and we also know we owe other sectors of the public a good number of social amenities. Government will continue to manage the contending interests to serve a good number of the population.” Fanwo also dismissed reports insinuating that the governor was planning to dump the ruling party. “It is laughable to insinuate that a governor that just led our party to landslide and historic victory in the 2019 general elections is about to abandon his bungalow to rent a hut,” he said. “If this is the kind of propaganda opposition wants to fly with, then they are not ready for the November 2nd electoral battle in the state. “Governor Yahaya Bello is the landlord of Kogi APC. Anyone coming is a tenant. Where were those opponents when he built the party into what dwarfed others in the 2019 elections?” https://www.everyvibes.com.ng/2019/04/I-Only-Owe-Four-Months-Salaries-Kogi-Governor-Yahaya-Bello.html |

Nigeria is a great nation and will forever be a great nation. Nothing is wrong with my country, but some people are pretty determine to kill Nigeria. I finally know what depression feels like after experiencing this on Saturday when I decided to help my neighbour take his son for common exterance examination, because they had a family emergency. Whenever I see a group of parent gather during such exam I always know they are up to something. How do you pay bribe for someone to write common Common extrance examination for your child and the child is aware of this? How? How? How? Is the question I was asking myself and its sad they were all Igbo parents. What is really wrong with us in this country? Are some people mad or madding or maded? I will make sure I expose that external invigilator when the results are out.

She opened fire on Brodes Perry, a pastor of assimilation at St. Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock, and his wife, Tabatha, at their home outside of Memphis, U.S, killing Brodes and injuring the wife. Tabatha told police that they met Daniels while living in Little Rock, Arkansas, and that she thought the unannounced visit from her was "strange." . "Tabatha stated she was unaware of Brodes having an affair, but Latarshia‘s actions and statements led her to believe that she was possibly having an affair with her husband," the incident report said. In the affidavit of complaint, Tabatha said Daniels was at their apartment for about 30 minutes before Brodes came home. The three talked for about 10 minutes before Daniels got up to leave. The wife told the police that she had opened the front door and stepped outside when she turned and saw the suspect remove a handgun from her jacket and fire several shots at her husband. As she was shooting, Daniels repeatedly said, "You broke my heart," according to the affidavit. After 25 years of serving his Indian boss in Lagos, a gateman has rejected a house offer as a parting gift and instead, requested that a borehole be sunk for his community in Giljimmi, #Jigawa State, which he said lacked water. Musa Usman lives with his family in a thatched huss. Usman, who served Mr. V. Verghese, the Managing Director of a pharmaceutical company, left the service in order to reunite with his family in the village. When he was leaving, Verghese offered to build a house for him to appreciate his diligence while he was his gateman. People in Usman’s community were previously trekking a long distance for water. Speaking at the commissioning of the borehole, Verghese said his decision for the parting gift was borne out of a high degree of honesty exhibited by Usman while he was working with him. . He said: “Musa has served me diligently for 25 years. We would travel to India and leave our house under his care and behold, we would meet everything intact. He is indeed an honest Nigerian.” Usman, thanked Verghese for the gesture, saying he had no regret substituting the house offer with community borehole. https://www.everyvibes.com.ng/2019/04/Gateman-Rejects-A-House-From-His-Boss-Opts-For-Borehole-In-His-Community.html
