[quote author=James4424 post=65694197]Listen to the dynamics of election in Nigeria.
Foremost, election has nothing or little to do will the credibility of the candidate, rather it has every thing to do with self interest of them politians . unLike GEJ who lost popularity within a handful of politicians bringing the rise of a massive decamp of politians to APC. buhari is in great contrary to that vital situation. All what buhari need is to seat back and allow the numerous governors to win him some vote in their respective states.
Look at how buhari pulled tremendous votes in IMO state in the last election with the help of rochas.
Understand this: Winning election has nothing , I mean nothing to do with one credibility. Many a good politician know this. That is why I believe the opposition in Nigeria today is idle because the real oppositions are with their self interest at hand and inevitably buhari is the easiest and fastest route to get there. E.g yahyah bello
Now, if at all buhari is to be troubled it will have to come from a stren revolution form the Nigerian populace which obviously is not looking like its going to happen.
This is my philosophy
I shared your philosophy my dear

[quote author=Ralphdan post=58393612]If such restructuring is done in Nigeria it may nt favour the West that much because why the population of Lagos is this much is because of the functional Port there. If this happens the Calabar, warri, and rivers port will pick up and migration to Lagos will reduce drastically, intact some people will move back to their regions.Lagos is economically viable because of its large population.
If this happens the source of revenue generation of Lagos will reduce too.
My thoughts though.

My heart goes out to mankind and humanity as a whole.. We have thrown caution and brotherly love in the air. Sadly, things will get even worse till God's kingdom comes and washes away these pains and suffering and sicknesses and diseases and poverty and wickedness: but as it turns out, these many tribulations is causing many to lose hope.. Even in Jehovah. But lets keep up the love and faith.

PoliticsRe: Ultimate Warriors of Niger Delta Emerges, Demands 60% Oil Bloc by muyiwadavid(m): 10:55pm On Jun 08, 2016
YoursGEJ:
Don't they also want all corruption charges against ND politicians who stole money to be dropped?

The problem of the Niger Delta is found in their own house. These states get 13% derivation from crude oil sales. Before you say that is not enough, just look at the infrastructure that has been developed by Akwa Ibom (good roads everywhere, world-class hospital and stadium) and Cross River states (Tinapa, Obudu, etc). You'll rarely hear of militant/criminal activities in these two states

Ok lets look at Delta, Rivers and Bayelsa states where militancy are concentrated. These states are the highest beneficiaries from the 13% derivation rule, collecting trillions of Naira since it was implemented. Do you hear of life-changing infrastructure being built with the money? No. What we hear is Alamesigha dressed as a woman to escape bail from UK, Peter Odili granted perpetual injunction against arrest, James Ibori in jail in UK (forfeiting hundreds of millions of pounds meant to develop his state to the UK that does not even need the money), etc. Furthermore, their own son was president for six years and he could not implement a single project in his own village not to talk of his state belente his geographical zone.

Yet, criminals from these particular three states (Delta being the main one), continue to blame 'lack of federalism' while asking for corruption charges to be dropped against thieves like them. Akwa Ibom and Cross River are leaving you people behind and I don't see the same 'lack of federalism' holding them back. SMH.

If you give Delta, Rivers and Bayelsa their own country, they will loot themselves dry and still blame the poor Hausa man in Bauchi who's farming onions. People in the ND need to hold their leaders accountable while also looking at the mirror.

Rant over
May God bless u my brother

PoliticsRe: Buhari To SkyNews: 'Yes' Nigeria Is Corrupt (Video) by muyiwadavid(m): 9:10am On May 12, 2016
Mutuwa:
I de tell you

Yes, Nigeria is fantastically corrupt and it is not Cameron's original statement. It is Buhari's original statement. And it is very correct. Tell me that you do not feel so about schools organizing for their children to cheat through WAEC, or lecturers demanding sex for points from female students, of parents buying admission and grades in universities, or cash payment for employment. What do you feel when you watch that policeman receive money from the hackney cab driver in front of you and shoves it quickly into his pocket, waving you to pass because you are a witness? In which facet of national life today do we not see fantastic corruption? How many criminals are honorable men in chambers of our legislature?

Some of the cases that on going probes have turned up are bizarre, and make us laugh a cry - don't you feel like throwing up when you see that men who ought to have offered counsel to President Good luck Jonathan to buy weapons for the war on Boko Haram turned round instead to collect and share money meant for purchase of arms? And even as we talk, foreign donors have audited donations of $3.8m dollars meant to fight HIV and related radical infections like TB and have come with the damning conclusion that Nigerians stole the money corruptly?
Our justice system keeps high profile corruption suspects out of prison by technicalities purchased with cash, and the poor go to prison for a stolen bowl of soup, where they meet suspects who serve terms awaiting trial - or are unable to meet bail conditions?
No, say it loud. Nigeria IS fantastically corrupt. We only need to admit it and change. It needs not be so.
