you have not followed history. NATO and Russia will always do everything to avoid a direct confrontation. There is no way NATO can level up Russia because it is suicidal for they know what Russia has and will never want to escalate. These people know their understanding and lines they can't cross. You said it is taking weeks to takeover Ukraine but you don't know that Russia has the capability of leveling Ukraine but they can't because that will be so absurd and uncalled for...It took US 2 months + to totally invade Iraq. was Iraq war neccessary?...study history. The UN security council and general assembly all voted against invasion of Iraq. US went in without approval with the excuse that they are going to destroy weapon of mass destruction. Guess what?...nothing like that was found. How many civilians were directly killed in the first 2 months of a needless war?...about 7k....war crimes were committed in fallujah etc, how many were held accountable?....it was all about the Oil and everyone knows.
