A lot of people hated former Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu who was the executive governor of Lagos State for several reasons. Most of his haters will give several reasons why they hated him. Majority of these haters comprises of some yorubas and people from other tribes why have never had any direct link with Jagaban as he is popularly called.

Those who have benefitted immensely from his largesse will rather dress in royal regalia and sing his praises as a benefactor and king maker because he has subordinates that he personally assisted to have risen in their political career to the offices of house assembly and state governors among others.

Why people hated him?

1. Many believed that the wealth of Lagos is in his pocket. Meaning he owns Lagos.

2. He installs only his cronies in position of authority as conduit pipes.

3. To some, he is the father of touts popularly called agberos in Lagos who extort money on a daily basis from transporters.

4.He brought Nigeria on her knees by foistering President Buhari on Nigerians. This is because of the present economic hardship Nigerians are going through.

To be candid, I do not subscribe to hating individuals who I do not have any direct link with. We had anticipated better governance when Jonathan performed abysmally in office.

It is true Doctors was on strike for 13 months and ASUU was on strike for about 5 months during his tenure.

If the IPPIS wasn't introduced, no government in Nigeria could have paid salary, there were alot of issues of ghost workers then.
God bless Ngozi Okonjo iweala and one good thing then was that Peter Obi followed suit and sanitized the state civil service system and ever since then, the issue of strike vanished in Anambra. It was never an absolute regional autonomy, it is similar to what we still have now, read the constitution, region can develop from their pocket while central government has a veto power over every region. Besides that, eastern region was still marginalized but that's a topic for another day.

Thank God we all lived through that period of history where it was clear that Jonathan was on an insincere exercise in futility that reeked of insincerity.

Buhari , to his credit, clearly outlawed restructuring to show Nigerians what he believed in unequivocally i.e Nigeria does not need restructuring.

Huge contrast to the antics of the deceptive Jonathan whose fraudulent ideas was to constitute an expensive and impotent talk jamboree that would achieve nothing but burnish his political image.

Whereas, and in reality, no one could see a single effort from Jonathan, a sitting President with majority legislative control of Nigeria, to use his conaiderable power and authority to change our constitution and literally bully through even executive policies that would assist fiscal federalism, restructuring and decentralisation of power away from an unwieldy centre.

Jonathan did everything insincerely and for political mileage or pecuniary gains. He lacked substance, was never sincere and delivered nothing.

Buhari , even as he ruled out ever restructuring, has actually done more per the effort to initiate brave and holistic reforms.

For all his fault Buhari has shown he is a proper President in ways Jonathan could never be and in a potent show of how Nigeria cannot afford to mess with Jonathan 2.0 in the form of Obi.

Buhari would tell everyone he will not restructure leaving no one in doubt that he can if it is what he wants.

Yet Jonathan would pretend and decieve Nigerians with wasteful charades knowing fully well he does not have the sagacity, bravery, political will and authoritative capacity to deliver as a proper President can.

In the end it is clear to unbiased Nigerians that Tinubu was right to call out Jonathan for insincerity. Many others did at the time because they knew Jonathan was an insincere and impotent President.

I went back to your earlier post and all I found out is that you talk too much that you make a statement in one post and contradict yourself in the first post in the second one. You advacated for regionalization in one post and you attacked Igbos for calling for same in another post. You condemed buhari for not going the restructuring but you supported Tinubu for opposing the Goodluck' s restructuring call. How can good luck restructure when APC were already a majority in the legislative chamber?

)The national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, yesterday, kicked against the proposed national conference by President Goodluck Jonathan.

He made this disclosure while fielding questions from journalists after a closed door meeting with the Osun State government officials led by Governor Rauf Aregbesola and leaders of the state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, over the ongoing crisis rocking the state due to the new education policy introduced by the governor.

Tinubu restated his earlier stance, describing the conference as both deceptive and diversionary.

His words, “The National Assembly has devoted time to the review of the country’s constitution. What again is the purpose of Jonathan’s national confab? It is a way of fooling Nigerians.”

He stated that there was no law backing the proposed confab, urging that whatever came out of it would be a nullity. He said; “I am not a confused man, so, I cannot support the confab. Those in support have proved to be confused.”

The former Lagos State governor, who was optimistic that the opposition party would oust the PDP from power in 2015, added that the success of the just concluded registration exercise of party membership across the country was an indication that the APC remains a party to beat.

According to him, there had never been crisis in the party and there would not be any crisis even after the selection of the party’s acceptable candidate.

On the June and August governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states respectively, Tinubu said, “The PDP is not a threat to the APC in both Ekiti and Osun states and by the grace of God, we are coming out victorious in the elections.”

You obviously know very little. In 2003 the great Ojukwu was on the ballot yet OBJ won in the South east.
As of today, the record remains, Igbos have voted for Yorubas but yorubas for not have never given an Igbo their vote. Anyway, Obi would change all that.
