If Tinubu will go the divisive way to actualise his presidency, that means his regime will be worse than that of Buhari because You can never make any meaning progress in a divided society.

nikky5: A lot of people hated former Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu who was the executive governor of Lagos State for several reasons. Most of his haters will give several reasons why they hated him. Majority of these haters comprises of some yorubas and people from other tribes why have never had any direct link with Jagaban as he is popularly called.
Those who have benefitted immensely from his largesse will rather dress in royal regalia and sing his praises as a benefactor and king maker because he has subordinates that he personally assisted to have risen in their political career to the offices of house assembly and state governors among others.
Why people hated him?
1. Many believed that the wealth of Lagos is in his pocket. Meaning he owns Lagos.
2. He installs only his cronies in position of authority as conduit pipes.
3. To some, he is the father of touts popularly called agberos in Lagos who extort money on a daily basis from transporters.
4.He brought Nigeria on her knees by foistering President Buhari on Nigerians. This is because of the present economic hardship Nigerians are going through.
To be candid, I do not subscribe to hating individuals who I do not have any direct link with. We had anticipated better governance when Jonathan performed abysmally in office.
Are you among his haters? Why do you hate this genius, tell us. I stop liking him when I noticed that he only likes himself, only what will benefit him even at the detriment of others. Yeah, he supported Buhari the first time just as Obasanjo did but he shouldn't have supported him the second time having seen how bad his first tenure was. I hate anybody that is willing to kill for an illusion. What joy does he intend to derive at this his age by being the president? He has never spoken against the bad leadership of Buhari, hence he may not speak or act against any northern onslaughter even if it involves his immediate family member just to get reelected the second time if he manages to win the 2023 election. |

Pls, stop embarrassing yourself and go pick up a history book. It was never an absolute regional autonomy, it is similar to what we still have now, read the constitution, region can develop from their pocket while central government has a veto power over every region. But Azikiwe wanted his 1945 speech to become manifest by supervising the domination of ibos on the regions across the country, he would disrespect the leaders of other regions and try to supplant them. That’s quite interesting. Hopefully, woke Yorubas who intend to vote in the fraud called Obi Pandora are reading your submissions. In the next ten to twenty years, Igbo folks will turn around and claim all the votes gotten by Peter Obi in the SW were from Igbos leaving in the region.
Keep up your delusion buddy. I’m done with you. English comprehension is definitely your problem here. Check where I mentioned that other tribes outnumbered the Tribalists. In short, lemme break it down, they outnumbered the Tribalists like you. It's not all Yorubas that are tribalist, I know many of them. Progressive minded ones. femisplash: Three regional homogeneity were established for administrative purposes. The Western region, Eastern and Northern region. These three had each of their leaders with legitimate authority over the affairs of each region such that an Awolowo would not interven in the affairs of the northern region neither an Ahmadu being nosy in the policy implementation of the east and west nor an Azikiwe in the affairs of an independent regions of the west and North. Of the three leaders, Azikiwe would not only 100% in control of his eastern region but had the insatiable covetousness of wanting to control the affairs of a region with which he had no homogeneity. In 1945, Azikiwe had this to say: "From all indications, the God of Africa has destined igbos to rule the whole of Africa"..... Nnamdi Azikiwe (1945). Being a typical virtue of the ibos, they are loud mouthed and would always readily reveal their malicious intentions however gullible it may sound. Azikiwe's greed and avaricious thirst for power, conquest and domination of other tribes would push him beyond his bound into the absy of nothingness. Ahmadu Bello responded to the natural instinct of ibos in trying to hijack what belongs to the Northern indigenes to themselves. While Awolowo also responded by saying; “It seemed clear to me that [Azikiwe’s] policy was to corrode the self-respect of the Yoruba people as a group; to build up the Ibo as a ‘master-race.’”
Awolowo and Ahmadu saw through Azikiwe and his kinsmen and put them where they rightly belong. So ,you agree with me that Yoruba started the regionalization, as Igbos hoped in, it became a taboo? During Abiola time, he was contesting as a Nigeria president, OBJ contested as a Nigeria president, Osinbanjo, as Nigeria VP, now Peter Obi wants to contest, the chant is , he is contesting as an Igbo president, hypocrites everywhere! |

seunmsg: Azikiwe won a seat in the western house of assemble from Lagos. In fact, he aspired to become the premier of western region but failed due to his party’s failure to win majority seats. If NCNC had won majority seats in western region assembly, Azikiwe would have become the first premier of Western Nigeria. Did any Yorubas win election into Eastern region assembly?
In 1979, how many Igbo state did Awolowo win? Nothing. In 1993 when it was between a Yoruba man and Igbo man, majority of Igbo voters opted to vote for Bashir Tofa. Above is your history of treachery and betrayal. We shall never forget. A bloody lie like you; it seems you are the one that inherited the linage tribal politics. Considering his widespread popularity and charismatic appeal, anti-Azikiwe Yoruba elites now faced the realistic possibility of Zik leading the National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons (NCNC) party to capture not just the eastern regional assembly but also the western one. In March 1951, Awo and his mostly Yoruba supporters established the Action Group (AG) party to prevent Zik from winning the western election, and in effect becoming the most powerful political leader in the entire southern Nigeria. Accordingly, the main themes in AG’s campaign messaging that year were opposition to Zik, the idea the west should be for “Westerners”, and the threat of “Ibo domination.” Awo’s Nigerian Tribune newspaper claimed Zik’s “political and social activities had this Ibo-domination inclination” for years. The paper also urged Zik, who was contesting a seat in the Yoruba-majority city of Lagos, to stay out of western politics since he did not belong to the region “by birth”. An editorial in Tribune stated it was “an insult to all westerners” for Zik, an Igbo, to be contesting in their region. Why could he not go and contest in his eastern “homeland”? Meanwhile, AG campaign posters urged “true born” western Nigerians to vote AG because it stood for “western solidarity |

candidtalk: Lol. This is why I said you should show a link. I knew you'd trap yourself because Tinubus stance over Jonathan's insincere 'restructuring' effort was crystal clear.
Thank God we all lived through that period of history where it was clear that Jonathan was on an insincere exercise in futility that reeked of insincerity.
Buhari , to his credit, clearly outlawed restructuring to show Nigerians what he believed in unequivocally i.e Nigeria does not need restructuring.
Huge contrast to the antics of the deceptive Jonathan whose fraudulent ideas was to constitute an expensive and impotent talk jamboree that would achieve nothing but burnish his political image.
Whereas, and in reality, no one could see a single effort from Jonathan, a sitting President with majority legislative control of Nigeria, to use his conaiderable power and authority to change our constitution and literally bully through even executive policies that would assist fiscal federalism, restructuring and decentralisation of power away from an unwieldy centre.
Jonathan did everything insincerely and for political mileage or pecuniary gains. He lacked substance, was never sincere and delivered nothing.
Buhari , even as he ruled out ever restructuring, has actually done more per the effort to initiate brave and holistic reforms.
For all his fault Buhari has shown he is a proper President in ways Jonathan could never be and in a potent show of how Nigeria cannot afford to mess with Jonathan 2.0 in the form of Obi.
Buhari would tell everyone he will not restructure leaving no one in doubt that he can if it is what he wants.
Yet Jonathan would pretend and decieve Nigerians with wasteful charades knowing fully well he does not have the sagacity, bravery, political will and authoritative capacity to deliver as a proper President can.
In the end it is clear to unbiased Nigerians that Tinubu was right to call out Jonathan for insincerity. Many others did at the time because they knew Jonathan was an insincere and impotent President. I went back to your earlier post and all I found out is that you talk too much that you make a statement in one post and contradict yourself in the first post in the second one. You advacated for regionalization in one post and you attacked Igbos for calling for same in another post. You condemed buhari for not going the restructuring but you supported Tinubu for opposing the Goodluck' s restructuring call. How can good luck restructure when APC were already a majority in the legislative chamber? You have to take a stand man You supported regionalization and so do Igbos, so what's your problem then? Hate and jealousy. Igbo saw the need to support Peter to see if things would improve and you jettison your quest for regionalization for Tinubu to make the status quo and ever since then you have been condemning others for supporting peter Obi, what's your problem? Greed You condemed those that never believe in one Nigeria whereas you and Tinubu never believed in one Nigeria, so who is confused here? |

candidtalk: Lol. Why insinuate it? Why don't you show it? See, you Igbos are hardened liars . You lie desperately everywhere and over everything.
You are always delivering your own opinion that are invariably lies you deliberately fail to back up with verifiable links as Yoruba posters do.
Show us what Tinubu and APC told Jonathan and let us take it from there. We don't want your words alone because the word of an IPOBian is usually only desperate lies he wishes to use to deceive others to buy his bad market. You can bury your head in shame now if you have an decency left. only a foolish and tribalistic man will support Tinubu I am not a confused man, I cannot support the National Conference – Tinubu )The national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, yesterday, kicked against the proposed national conference by President Goodluck Jonathan. He made this disclosure while fielding questions from journalists after a closed door meeting with the Osun State government officials led by Governor Rauf Aregbesola and leaders of the state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, over the ongoing crisis rocking the state due to the new education policy introduced by the governor. Tinubu restated his earlier stance, describing the conference as both deceptive and diversionary. His words, “The National Assembly has devoted time to the review of the country’s constitution. What again is the purpose of Jonathan’s national confab? It is a way of fooling Nigerians.” He stated that there was no law backing the proposed confab, urging that whatever came out of it would be a nullity. He said; “I am not a confused man, so, I cannot support the confab. Those in support have proved to be confused.” The former Lagos State governor, who was optimistic that the opposition party would oust the PDP from power in 2015, added that the success of the just concluded registration exercise of party membership across the country was an indication that the APC remains a party to beat. According to him, there had never been crisis in the party and there would not be any crisis even after the selection of the party’s acceptable candidate. On the June and August governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states respectively, Tinubu said, “The PDP is not a threat to the APC in both Ekiti and Osun states and by the grace of God, we are coming out victorious in the elections.” https://dailypost.ng/2014/02/13/confused-man-support-national-conference-tinubu/ |
