Nnamdi Kanu sure spoke his mind in this interview. He genuinely saw the presidency of GEJ, an Ijaw from Bayelsa State, as an "Igbo presidency". He also genuinely figured GEJ as spineless and weak and surely believed that madam Patience would have been a better "Igbo president"!

I almost didn't believe the transcript of the interview and had to scout through other publications for confirmation.

1) How does GEJ, in any way within the borders of sanity, represent Igbo presidency?
2) In what capacity does madam Patience appear better than GEJ in Kanu's opinion?
3) What exactly was Kanu expecting GEJ to do that he now believes that madam Patience would have done better?
4) Why is Kanu even discussing "zoo" politics when his Biafra is "almost here"?
5) Is it railway that Kanu wants now...as in had GEJ built railway, would he have not started this IPOB business?
6) Did he launch IPOB agitation only because he felt "Igbo presidency" had been defeated?

Personally, the fact that Kanu suggests that GEJ was seen by him as Igbo president tells me a lot about his ignorant state of mind.

I can only feel sorry for his followers.

The road to Biafra

Three days later, May 30, 1967, Lt. Col Ojukwu, a Nigerian soldier of Igbo extraction declared an “independent sovereign state of the name and title of the Republic of Biafra,” officially excising the Eastern Region from Nigeria. Ojukwu based his action on the resolution, four days earlier, on May 26, 1967, of a joint conference of the Eastern consultative assembly and leaders of thought that asked him to declare the Eastern region as a separate republic at an “early practicable date”.

The consultative assembly after a review of the above incident, the pogrom, commanded Ojukwu to either carry out their edict or step down. It is understandable that Dr. Aluko, a Yoruba, who although had spent a lengthy time in Igbo land, had no concept or understanding of Ohacracy, the collective servant leadership form of democracy, where the leader is a mere spokesperson who carries out the dictates of Oha (the people), should make the statement below:
"On the night before he was to declare secession, Adebayo called me that despite the assurances by Ojukwu, he learnt that he was going to declare secession tomorrow. I said I spoke to him last night and he did not tell me that he was going to declare secession. So, I called him and said: “Emeka, I have just learnt from the Head of State that you want to declare secession tomorrow.” He said, yes, that the people met and said if he wanted to continue to be military governor, he should either declare secession or quit. He said that to quit meant death. I said, “but you are a leader and a leader is not supposed to follow? People are supposed to follow the leader. Try and dissuade them from declaration. Let us see if we can do a number of things.”

Biafra is a dream, it's ok to dream. We will all wake up when realisation hit us. For now let savour our sleep and dream away the time.

Here's the thing, igbos are one of the richest if not the richest in Africa, if these people believe in the Biafran dream, the wise thing to fasttrack the process is to develop the region, that alone will incite home coming of the scattered believers. Igbos will rather develop Nigeria (Abuja and Lagos) than the Biafran states. Tell me which Igbo will keep on dreaming at the expense of his treasures abroad.

The government of Nigeria has lost focus on governance. Scandals and economic hardship has taken over the land. Foreign exchange currently determines itself because there is no structure whatsoever to keep it on check.

The Northern Team at the central bank, headed by one Emefiele stooge from the south has succeeded in taking us closer to Zimbabwe than any other country in the World.

Another Team of Northern illiterates headed by one stooge Kemi Adeosun from the south, does nothing else except weeding out every PDP sympathizer from the ministry of Finance after tagging them ghost workers.

One thing people failed to understand was that Okonjo Iweala wasn't just a minister of finance, she was also stubborn enough not to allow some useless demonic governors and politicians dictate to her. This Kemi doesn't strike me as someone who can tell El Rufai to sit down.
