Politics / Re: Was There Ever Slave Trade In Northern Nigeria? by myobjective: 1:44pm On Jul 28
Slave trade was the most profitable trade of the Sokoto caliphate. The Fulani jihad only took control of the 7 Hausa states and they were not interested to spread Islam to pagan tribes since this will hinder the raiding of these pagans for slaves. Since Muslims can't sell fellow Muslims as slaves. The Fulani ruler can't sell Hausa as slaves but they can raid pagan tribes like Bauchi (Bauchi means land of slaves in Hausa), Plateau, Nassarawa, Niger, Kebbi and generally areas you will see Christians today in northern Nigeria.
For example, Tafabalewa father is from a none Hausa from Bauchi, hence he was enslaved by the Fulani.

Are you high?
Kwara is Yoruba, Nupe and Baruba land. Fulani has no inch of land in the state. They are the visitor. Never repeat such nonsense again in your life.
Kwara is a Yoruba majority state.

Like the Yoruba Muslim wait around looking for Hausa Muslim that will rate him!
I laugh at how ridiculous most of you sound on this platform. Many of you normally bring your self-esteem problem to bear on this platform.
I can tell you that I have spent more time living around Hausa/Fulani than any other ethnic group aside Yoruba in Nigeria and in all this time I don't give a Bleep what they think of me.
The Hausas can think whatever they want to think of me or the way I practice religion but the reality is I don't give a Bleep

I'm from Ondo state and a Muslim. We wouldn't tolerate people like you bringing stupid extreme believe to Yorubaland.

Ondo is a Yoruba state. It's so for Muslim, Christian, Athiest and traditionalist. We wouldn't tolerate extremism of any religion be it Christians or Muslim.
Mind your tongue. Ondo is not a Christian state but an Omoluabi state.

MURIC has no supporters even among Muslim Yorubas!
We don't listen to that blind man for guardians. He is only interested in his pocket.

I was born and still resides in the north. The Yoruba ethos of religious tolerance is more than that.
I have a Christian sister whose daughter now resides with my mother. Her name is Esther. Her dad and mom are Christians buts since she has been living with more mother for years, she dressed in a big hijab and perform every act of worship of a Muslim. Both of her parents have no problem with her choices. Yorubas are that liberal.
Politics / Re: Sharia Will Be Allowed In Oduduwa Republic Says Igboho's Aide by myobjective: 6:16pm On Apr 18
Don't mind him! That is their mode of Operandi.
Yoruba are the most liberal group in Nigeria. I remembered how I was allowed to stay in a Redeemed family house despite being a Muslim. The only thing my fellow Yoruba Christian needed was the fact that I'm Yoruba. Even though I categorically told them that I wouldn't take part in their worship and praises.
This event opened my eyes to Yoruba togetherness. Without that accommodation that year in PH I wouldn't be stranded when I went there for my NYSC.
I will always take my Yoruba brother first before any group. My ethnicity is a better bond than any monotheist religion I may have been born into.

This your analysis doesn't reflect the reality on the ground but the question is why does it matter what demography of follower of both religions is more?
Who has carried out any census to determine what faith has the largest follower?
Religion will continue to play the second fiddle in the life of the Yorubas no matter how hard extremist from both religions tries.
I'm from a town with a predominantly Muslim population and will still have relatives that are Christians. Live and let live is the true Omoluabi ethos. Religions will always play second fiddle no matter how hard the Pentecostal churches and Salafist element tries.
Politics / Re: Sharia Will Be Allowed In Oduduwa Republic Says Igboho's Aide by myobjective: 6:03pm On Apr 18
I'm a Yoruba Muslim and don't believe in the political sharia nonsense of northern Nigeria.
Yoruba irrespective of religion needs to continuously live together, forging a future where science and development can be brought to eradicate poverty.
The Yoruba will develop a secular nation devoid of any religious interference. We wouldn't allow the extremism of whatever faith to win.
Politics / Re: Chidozie Ojobor: Buhari Rejected Scholarship List Because No Northerner On It by myobjective: 6:57am On Apr 14
They can't actually compete when pitted against southerners.
I went to a northern school. Fut Minna and in my set, there was no single core-northern first class graduate from the school of engineering. In my department, all the three first-class were Yorubas. Ondo, Oyo and Kwara.
It's what it's. The problem is not that they are naturally daft, the problem is they don't in most cases have the hunger.
The core-northerner society has a problem with scholarship, they are too none charlatan and believe that attending a university alone is all that is needed to survive since the requirement for civil service has been ridiculously lowered for them under the pretence of quota.
Politics / Re: Supply More Foodstuffs To The South - Jukun Association To Middle Belt Farmers by myobjective: 3:02am On Mar 02
Bros, I will take these northern Christians a million time before taking any chukwu in. I have lived with minorities from the north and I know how peaceful and understanding they are. If Nigeria disintegrates tomorrow, the Yoruba nation should chase out all "jenmiri' and make it very hard for them to enter Yorubaland.
Politics / Re: Photos Of Northerners Stopping Trucks From Supplying Food Items To Southwest by myobjective: 2:47am On Mar 02
Don't mind all this slowpoke from the Biafran republic. These fools think everyone is a coward like them.
When wahala start in large scale, the Nigeria military force will not even be able to contain to the fire. The Fulani control is in their head.
I hope these folks from the Sahelian republic will be able to go ahead with their blockade so that we can teach them a very important lesson that they will never forget.
Politics / Re: Onitsha Is The Only City In Nigeria That Looks Human-created by myobjective: 12:11am On Mar 01
Westerners wouldn't even build a giant concrete structure without landscaped area, running water, motorable street etc.
Onitsha is a huge pile of concrete waste. The houses are ugly, the street is choked up and the city lacks greenery.
Politics / Re: Onitsha Is The Only City In Nigeria That Looks Human-created by myobjective: 12:08am On Mar 01
I have been to Onitsha on several occasions. I can tell you that Asaba nearby is far better than it. Building ugly concrete for the sake of building storeys building doesn't make a city. Onitsha is the last of places, anyone will like to stay or visit.
Politics / Re: Onitsha Is The Only City In Nigeria That Looks Human-created by myobjective: 12:04am On Mar 01
Don't mind these low self-esteem fools. Onitsha is a classical example of a concrete jungle. The city is an environmental disaster waiting to happen.
The houses are too close to one another. most of the houses lack portable or running water. There is no green since everywhere is built up. The house lacks aesthetic etc.
I would rather live in a small functioning town like Suleja than that huge pile of urban concrete.
Politics / Re: Continual Kidnapping: Heavy Protest Hits Kaduna. by myobjective: 9:44pm On Feb 28
His Fulani brethren are wrecking havoc here too. Anywhere the Terrorist go they must make an enemy for themselves.
Politics / Re: Continual Kidnapping: Heavy Protest Hits Kaduna. by myobjective: 9:28pm On Feb 28
These people protesting here are the indigenous people of southern and central Kaduna that the Fulani wants to finish.
People need to understand the complexity of what is going on in northern Nigeria. A lot of posters you see here pushing northern narratives are the children of mostly Hausanized Fulani, who enjoys the status quo and see the condemnation of the barbarian Fulani terrorist herders as an attack on the collective Fulani nation.
Though, they are not also safe attacks. Since these Fulanis terrorist whoever they can exploit for cash but the fear of losing the legitimacy to lord over the Hausas or the Hausa revisiting the old kept secret of how the Fulani has continued to use religion to exploit the frightened these Fulani elites.
For this reason, I sympathise with these people are the thousands of Hausas that are being killed and kidnapped in the northwest.

Politics / Re: How To Constitutionally Redraw State Boundaries. by myobjective: 8:52am On Feb 28
It may be too late to redraw any map at this point. We may have to redraw the nation and grant ethnic nationalities their independence. Nigeria is going nowhere has it's currently structured.
Politics / Re: Benue And Plateau States Sending Yam And Tomatoes To The South. by myobjective: 8:50am On Feb 28
Political power! The military power gave the core north an edge and ensure political patronization by middle belts and northern minorities but since the coming of civilian gov't and the endless religious riots in the north, these alignments have begun t shift.
The average northern minorities from Gombe, Plateau, Adamawa, southern Borno, Taraba, Niger, Nassarawa, Southern Kaduna, part of Kebbi feel at home and have beginning to shift their alliances to the south provided they are Christians.
For the case of Kwara, Kogi and Benue, these states are not so different from the southern states they share boundaries with.

When Nigeria disintegrate, economic realities will realign interests and view.
It makes political sense for Saraki to claim partly Fulani ancestry but when Nigeria disintegrate, it wouldn't make any sense to hold such views. Who will want to be cut off from the huge economy of the south, the port in Lagos and the oil in the Niger Delta (southern Nigeria remains)?
Even the Nupes below the river Niger, the Barutan and other minorities in Kwara will opt to go with the south. I visit these a tad and I talk with politicians here.

Politics / Re: Benue And Plateau States Sending Yam And Tomatoes To The South. by myobjective: 8:25am On Feb 28
Because I'm partly from Ilorin in Kwara.
Take the case of Kwara, the Yoruba speaking part of Kwara (apart from Ilorin) has been fighting to be reintegrated back to the southwest for ages.
Ilorin has a Fulani emir that the only legitimacy to the title is religion. Whenever the issue of separation comes up, he is always scared of what we befall him.
There is also the presence of mostly Yorubanized Fulani who doesn't want to be joined to the southwest but these are group are small even in Ilorin. An overwhelming majority of the people are Yoruba and pro-Yoruba.
Taking about Saraki being pro north is juvenile. Saraki is not even an indigene of Kwara or Ilorin. Saraki father is Egba from Ogun while his mother is Iseyin from Oyo. Saraki is married to a Christian woman from Owo in Ondo state. Saraki daughter is married to a Christian man from Ogun State. How can you say such a man is pro north?
Forget what politicians say and look at their personal life for a clue. I know most of you have never been to that part of Nigeria to actually have a first-hand knowledge of things.

Talking rubbish from your anus. Kwara is an overwhelmed pro-Yoruba state. The Nupe in Kwara north will even side with the Yoruba when shit it the fan.
Why did the union stop those vehicles from crossing the River Niger bridge into the Kwara state? They know they wouldn't be able to do anything if it crosses.
Most kogites are pro south. The majority of the Kogi east are Yoruba themselves, Kogi central is egbiraland and Ondo host the second largest population of Egbira people in Nigeria. The Igala people are closer to the east than anyone. The only part of Kogi that will go with the North is the part north of the River Niger.
When shit hit the fan, the River Niger bridge is the boundary between the south and the north

Because the standard Yoruba is being spoken by the overwhelming majority of the people in the state.
Politics / Re: Ijaws Reject Adoption Of Odua Anthem In Ondo by myobjective: 2:01pm On Feb 24
Which part of Akoko are you from?
There are so many dialects in the Akoko region of Ondo state, the majority are eastern Yoruba dialects.
Most people always mixed up with being Yoruba to speaking Oyo dialects. Oyo dialects is a northern Yoruba language and it's was adopted as a standard Yoruba dialect.
I know this because my father is from Ikare and my mother from Ilorin.
The Ikare dialect which is the largest dialect in Akoko Ondo overlaps with the standard Yoruba with more than 80%, I know this because I speak both languages.
The only influence in much of Akoko apart from the OYO we're the Nupes, Owo and Ibadan. Though, there are groups that speak an Edoid language in Akoko Ondo, but they now have been Yorubanized.
Finally, the Standard Yoruba dialect is being spoken as a second language or first language by all Akoko Ondos.

Don't mind him. Emir of Ilorin has over 75% Yoruba bloodline. The people of Ilorin only allow him to continue to occupy the ceremonial position because of religion. That being said, The Fulani/Hausa/Nupe/Kanuri stocks in Ilorin are less than 5% of the total population. An overwhelming population of the city are Yorubas.
