It is a lie. Ebonyi people outside Ebonyi are ashamed to be identified as abakaleke people. They usually claim to be from Abia when they are in the midst of other Igbos discussing. The stigma attached to coming from Ebonyi is still there. All over Igboland, Ebonyi people are regarded as hawkers and low strata people with a strange attitude and language that does not sound Igbo. Even Nsukka people who are also seen as naive and clownish are rated higher than Ebonyi people.

I didn't ask you all those gibberish. But if I must advise ebonyi people, they should focus on education and human capital development first before anything else.

Educationally, ebonyi is ranked alongside Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto, Yobe ,etc. This is not a good rating at all.

Human capital development: ebonyi is among , if not the state with the lowest GDP in Nigeria. Ebonyi is among the few states with the lowest educated human capitals in Nigeria. The implication is that ebonyi people are among the poorest in Nigeria and sub saharan Africa.

In a nutshell: Education and human capital development is what ebonyi needs and not some buildings that will turn to house lizards in future because there are no educated population nor human capital to drive the future of the state.

when Dave assumed seat he said his first tenure would be used to develop the state in terms of road, bridges,education , and building industrial homes while his second tenure will be to industrialize abakaliki, will any industry be sited where there are no good roads.
