saintkel:I'm on a different frequency and wavelength. You can't understand me. I'm saying that the only way I could be an obidient is if the movement was honest about pursuing an ethnic and religious agenda. I'll zero my mind about positive change in the next 4 years and support the movement. When you tell me that your movement is about positive change, yet I see hundreds of "feminists", "lawyers" and other "respectable" people in the society protesting for the release of a clergyman who is notorious for raping and molesting girls in his church just because he prophesied in favour of Peter Obi, I laugh because I know I'm vindicated. I have morals. I'd feel stupid defending the Obidient movement on any ground apart from ethnicity and religion. |
It was a protest vote against the denial of Igbo Presidency since 1967. For more almost 60 years, no Nigerian of Igbo heritage has governed the country. In 2023, a populist candidate from the South Eastern region, that is, the ancestral home of Igbos came up as the only christian contestant against 3 powerful Muslims. It was the Igbos closest chance because he was well received by electorates in the North Central region than Nnamdi Azikiwe and he fared better at the polls than Ojukwu. Why am I saying all these? Competency is a subjective concept. Growing up in the South of Nigeria as a spectacular student of arts, humanities and law, I am not oblivious of the impacts of Tinubu's contribution to democracy and his undisputable role in contemporary Lagos. Peter Obi kept telling people at campaign grounds to vote for whom they think is more competent. Even during interviews, he always reiterated that he shouldn't be voted for because he is Igbo and Christian. That is where Peter Obi failed. He failed because deep in his heart he knew it was his turn based on Nigeria's political setting because he was Igbo and Christian. In fact, behind closed doors he was sponsoring a hidden war based on ethnicity and religion. If Peter Obi was ever truthful enough to publicly declare that he should be voted for because he is Igbo and Christian, I would be on this platform campaigning for him because it is the only reason I can vote for him. He was a mediocre governor- you can't change history. So I'd vote for him and zero my mind about improvement but know that I've ethically delivered a man who was brave enough to take the turn of his people. |
The passport rumour created by the low IQ idiot on exile is just for nuisance value. 1. Even if it were true, Tinubu has not violated any section of 137 (a) which is subject to Section 28 of the same CFRN 1999. 2. Even if Tinubu had actually violated (which he hasn't violated) 137(a) of the CFRN 1999 , the claim of dual citizenship was not included as a ground for disqualification by the opposition in their petition. The APC, Tinubu and INEC have already filed a reply to the petition of the opposition, a new issue cannot be raised at this point in the tribunal. 3. Even if the opposition had pleaded disqualification based on dual citizenship in their petition (which they did not), proving the allegation that Tinubu is a citizen of Guinea would not be done with a fraudulently edited passport picture specifically designed for blackmail. I can go on and on. The allegation is only for nuisance value in order to take away public focus on Obi's religious war audio and his detention in the United Kingdom. |

PointB:There's a subsection that follows the one that you're finding a hard time interpreting. That subsection deals with people that have concluded their punishment. They're are not to contest with 10 years from the date they served their sanction that was imposed by a court of competent jurisdiction. The "under sentencing" means that the person is still serving his jail term. For instance, Hushpuppy is under the sentence of a court. Obasanjo is not under the sentence of a court. Now, in 1999 the case of Obasanjo v Falae went to the supreme court during the election tribunal. The petitioner at the court of Appeal asked the tribunal to declare that Obasanjo was not qualified to contest because he has not stayed out of Prison for up to 10 years after his conviction. The court held that Obasanjo was eligible to contest because he was pardoned and being pardoned gives the effect of not being convicted. Being under the sentence of a court means that you were sentenced to court for let's say 10 years and it's only 5 years into your jail term. When you've completed your punishment/sentencing/jail term, the subsection you quoted cannot disqualify you anymore. What can disqualify you is that it's still within 10 years since you completed your sentencing which is the next subsection. I'm not explaining again abeg. |
seunmsg:Thank you for explaining like I would. I'm tired with these low IQ people. |
cktheluckyman:If he is "under sentence" means that he is currently in jail. Can you even comprehend what you read? No presidential candidate was under sentence at the time of elections. |
Vado2:Kudos, you've corrected yourself! Change "constitution" in your title. |
Can you tell me the section of the "Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999" that prohibits smoking? You know nothing. |
ukaface:He won the fairest elections INEC has ever conducted. |
ukaface:There was a rumour that Peter Obi won Plateau State with a million votes. As at the time many of his supporters were celebrating the "heresay" victory, the results of Plateau State were not completely collated. Though he won Plateau State, the total votes he received was less than half of a million. Till today, a large percentage of his supporters argue that he won Plateau State with a million votes 😂. There's no proof on IREV or anywhere to back the claim. Channels Tv made a mistake while reporting the results of Bauchi Local Government Area of Bauchi State. They deleted their Tweet. The genuine result that conforms with what was returned by INEC and the IREV platform is there on all reputable media platforms. Obi's supporters still rely on the screenshot of Channels Tv mistake to claim that Obi was rigged out in Bauchi State. These are just two of the major misinformation that have been proliferated and spread by Obi's supporters. |
ukaface:The bulk of what were spread are misinformation. The few real cases are not substantial to make the result declared by INEC invalid. |

Soyinka has done so much for Nigeria's democracy. As a young man, about the age of most disobidient children, he was incarcerated by a military regime for almost two years. Just before the restoration of our presidential democracy, another military regime wanted him "dead or alive" during his necessary exile from Nigeria. The venerable statesman has contributed more to Nigerian progress than most of you would ever do- in words and in deeds ; in theory and in practice. As the heyday of Obidiotism is gradually coming to an end, I am proud that my convictions about the totalitarian movement were genuine and have been proven even to the least objective Nigerian. One of my fears was the institutionalization of cancel culture. Another one was the giving of villain tags to Nigerian heroes who do not reply Obi with "Yes Daddy"! I am vindicated for taking a stance against masked fascism. |

It doesn't seem like the United States will alienate the government of Nigeria anytime soon. South Africa and Nigeria are the biggest economies and most powerful countries in sub-saharan Africa. South Africa leans towards China and Russia as a strategic member of the BRICS block. It is strategically dicey to let Nigeria fall to the transnational union that is desperate for multipolarity and the reduction of America's influence across the Atlantic. Since the autochthonous people resolved in 1960 to be independent of Britain and sealed a republican deal in '63, successive leaders of Africa's most populous country have been inclined to neutrality in international politics. During the historical cold war, we were outspoken about our "Non-alignment policy" as a country. The best America can do for us to reciprocate our gesture of neutrality that we've maintained over the years is not to interfere in our domestic democracy. Since 1999, the USA is committed to working with any Nigerian President mandated by Nigerians to lead the country. Their position will not change in 2023 because of the opinion of an ugly masculine woman. Chimamanda, the tribal bigot, should find a more honourable method of grieving. I recommend that she hugs a transformer 😂 |
Obi swore with his family's life not to leave APGA. If those things worked then Pandora would go first 😂 |
They weren't classified as a terrorist group in 2018. Fake news. |
The fuel that burns to keep the delusion of a fictitious stolen mandate alive is the projections of the prophets for hire about the outcome of the 2023 elections. The disobidient mob wish everything goes as was prophesied. They're trying to cause insurrection so that Peter Obi will be arrested. Half of the prophecy failed when Obi came a distant third. They're trying to act out the prophecies like a literal script so deep in their hearts they want Obi to be arrested 😂 Everytime a member of the disobidient mob says "Tinubu will never be president" 😂, please know that they're under the influence of the opium given to them by their fake clergymen. Some prophets for hire claimed that he would come second, then get arrested , then an insurrection will occur, followed by a court judgment that declares him the winner. Other versions of the prophecy predict an interim government after his arrest. Some high Oedipus shit 😂 |
Wole Soyinka was arrested, tried, discharged and acquitted for the "alleged" offence. It means he never did any of what you said he did. Stop the blackmail! |
Izongdave:I compared him because he was enjoying appointments and contracts from dictatorial regimes when others were on exile to restore democracy. He has stated some of those privileges military regimes gave him. https://www.nairaland.com/7567229/peter-obi-explains-how-abacha |
