My brother it is very easy to spark up a major conflict just like the magnitude of that of the 1967 civil war, Rwanda, current Syria or Sudan if tribal sentiments are left unchecked. Do you know how many people die by embarking on peacefully protest in Nigeria?. It it is very easy for a Western country with a hidden agenda's to arm the biafran people just the same way they armed boko haram so that they can reap where they did not sow. Nigeria's economic situation at this time is not too different from what it was 1967 with the vast majority desperate for a better life, which made both sides of the divide vulnerable to the idea that either division or a war will make things better, of guarantee you that none is a worthwhile solution to the challenges that befall us as nation. The concept of referendum only works in advanced countries with a well educated populace, is Nigeria an advanced country? Answer that yourself. The people who instigated the war lived to see their own children and even grandchildren, after the lives of millions of civilians of which women and children were at the receiving end. You people are very smart but you do not learn. Stop being tools of evil men who hide behind the mask of a beautiful libration, they don't care about you, they always follow the same pattern, they coerce you into hardship while they'll enjoy the spoils of your bloodshed, come to think of it, is biafra really united? "History is the study of yesterday so we can live our life today to plan for tomorrow", sadly most of us don't go back in time, this is just my own 2 kobo, if you like you can take it and profit from it
XieXie:
your contribution is OK. But again I wonder why you will be quick to start thinking of war, bloodshed and killings? Is that the only way you people resolve issues in the country of nig?

In sane countries, issues like this are addressed with referendum but it appears the government of nig country doesn't want to do referendum that is why they are quick to threaten them with war. This is totally wrong.

I'm Igbo and just like every typical Igbo man I am an ambitious man, with a hope my kids will see plenty good days. I was not born to witness the civil war which is the epic of the Biafran struggle, but I have a firsthand witness of the subtle known story of the Asaba massacre, no other than my own father who was just fifteen years of age then and schooled in Asaba which is the border town between Edo state, River Niger and Onitsha. The stories from that man concerning the war are not pleasant to for the imagination of a sane person. Have you heard from every Igbo man. Please do not make comments and bold statements like these, it is more divisive and it helps fuel the agenda of such IPOB or whatever fanatics.
XieXie:
I don't see any difference between Igbo's, Biafra, IPOB and even MASSOB they are all one and have a common identity in there desire for self determination.
Business have made me travel to the rising Biafran country, In the course of my several business trips, our team stayed with the local people, artisans, designers, traders etc and every point they won't fail to let us know about the Biafran movement. Men, women, Youths and children they have believe in Biafra than the country of nig.

The colours of Biafra are proudly shown, painted on walls, stickers on public transport, magazine Biafra etc.

What I understand in everything I hv seen in the country of nig is that the Nig people have a mighty hatred for the Biafran people.
Since that is the case why not have them get there own country.

The international community is taking interest in the Biafran movement, they are also building relationships globally.

With the way the president of the country of nig is staying and people are being killed and is not condemning it. Foreign countries, ours has warned there citizens to be cautious of going to North nig

MMM is not dumping naira, it is just adding bitcoin as a payment option.

It was there before but you couldn't GH in bitcoin even though you PH in bitcoin. That situation was not favourable cos we buy bitcoin at N500/$ and MMM pays at N312/$ BUT NOW, we would be able to withdraw into your bitcoin wallet directly .

okay let me share the good news first...

1. there is nothing like fake proof of payment again... cos you will need to proof you have paid with your transaction ID

2. nothing like queuing in the bank again to get help and provide help

3. and if mmm freeze again , nothing like contacting brothe EZE and beg you to give you half of the money ( money sent is untraceable )

4. getting help will be faster than ever ( say maximum 3 hours )

now the bad news

1. there is no way to know WHEN or IF movrodi will run away with your money

2. it is now easy for him to pack all your money and run without any trace

3. efcc , fbi etc... no evidence again

4. IF you provide help and the reciever decide to run away.. nothing like freezing his account ..your money is gone

How long shall this earth be soaked in blood? Why must drops flow to a river of tears. Who would you rather believe, the one who tells the unpleasant truth or the one who tells comforting lies? Why must blood flow before we act? Gory images, unthinkable human deeds, extra-magnifico wicked. A woman once said "this blood you are sharing" and rightfully all corners of the earth has had a share of the blood of the innocent. Sad stories are so common, it has become a norm. I am a Nigerian by birth, I have visited most geopolitical zones and it took me a while to admit that I have believed in a bubble all these years, it just seems we are wired to be gullible, instruments of the rich and powerful, I hope this piece travels farther than me. There is a saying that "history is the study of yesterday, to learn how to live today so we can plan for tomorrow", but we never seem to learn from it. Have we forgotten the Nigerian civil war so soon, many may never know about the massacres. Lets travel to the west and site just a few of human deeds, the Nazi genocide, nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, chemical bombs on sleeping kids, didn't they deserve a second chance? Suicide bombings are just the order of my day, what a steady and progressive decay. The damages of war, the lives lost, the hardship, the pain and the tears, many begged for their lives at the hands of their cold killers, they would have given a lot for a chance to live. And the funny thing is that those who pull the strings live till their very old ages while millions like you and I perish in millions, how can the life of just a few affect so many? What a funny world we live in. We wake up every morning doing the same thing over and over, we are smart enough to do what we are told but not smart enough to question why we do it. We work for the big corporations owned by just a few investing our blood and energy with little or no time to enjoy our hard work, until we are too old to work. We are nothing but fuel that powers the agenda of the elite who hide behind the logos of corporations and governments, their biggest asset is not oil, gold or any other precious metal it is you and I. We build their cities, run their machines and we even fight their wars, money is not their objective, it is power and money is just the tool they use to control us. They are giving us money and in return we are giving them the world.
We have a precious gift and that gift is mother earth and she lives, many believe she will live forever while many see doom, can you really blame them for seeing doomsday, hell no! in-fact, we cut down our forest that cleans the air for their factories that poison us with chemicals and radiations. Over a billion people are starving despite having a lot of food to go round, you may ask yourself where does all the food go?, 70% of the food grown are used to feed animals which will be sold to you, why feed the poor and hungry when you can't profit from them?! We feed ourselves with animals and plants treated with drugs and chemicals, engineered food for mass consumption and huge profits. Cancers are the end results and when we get sick we run to scientist and doctors for a cure, the drug companies rely on our suffering to make a profit. When will we start addressing the real cause of our problems. With the extinction of thousands of species every year, time may be running out for the Homo sapiens. The death of mother earth is not very hard to imagine with so much evidence before us that we are destroying her, our home and our gift from the grand creator. However, I like to think of myself as a different breed of a common specie, and I look forward to a time when the earth will be filled with a race who practice conservation as their sole religion.

Nairaland GeneralMMM Has Done More Good Than Bad by nacaz4real(op): 5:51am On Jan 07, 2017
The well known MMM scheme with its concepts and ideology spread like wildfire in 2016 causing a massive number of Nigerians to commit their cash in the system with a hope of a 30% return on investments and referral bonuses. Despite the current crisis rocking the scheme some participants and analyst have insisted that the MMM ideology is not only brilliant but realistic and achievable. Before we get too quick pushing the camel to the slaughter let us highlight some of the achievements of this system as pointed out by some participants;
Alternative Source Of Income
Since the inception of the Nigerian MMM community the system has had quite a sizable number of Nigerians from almost all works of life who had profited largely from the scheme, with some claiming to have been earning more than oil company workers and even purchasing cars and other properties from monies gotten from the scheme in 2016 alone. Although, many people argue that the scheme has left more people broke than it made more people rich.
Money Shuffle
It should be worthy of mention to note that the MMM effect caused quite a movement of cash as monies were moved from one account to the other. Whether this move was from more richer folks to poorer folks or from smatter/persuasive folks to slower/reluctant folks is still a matter of debate.
Indirect Income For Banks
The central ideology of MMM hinges on the extermination and takeover of the current world banking system which it perceives as corrupt and manipulative. However, one cannot help but notice the huge amounts of interbank transfers done in 2016, with about 3 million MMM participants in Nigeria alone and with transfer charges around N100per transfer, I honestly do not see any extermination after punching my calculator. Some have argued that with the scheme offering higher bonuses on use of bitcoins and the gradual embrace of cryptocurrencies, an annihilation of the current banking system may just not be a mirage but a gradual reality.
Promotion Of Unity
There are quite a handful people who hold a strong believe that the scheme has fostered more unity between Nigerians than the Nigerian government has. With some participants saying they provided monies and got monies from people of different ethnicities. And some members of the scheme providing support and relief material for internally displaced person and orphanage homes.

While interviewing an Abuja based participant he said "I have no regrets participating in the system, life is a risk and as an IT consultant I must acknowledge the efforts these guys put in promoting their ideology and making the system work through their platform and their constant knack for improvements is admirable. In fact everyone has a thing or two to learn form MMM, however, one cannot help but notice some minor flaws bugging the system. This minor tweak to the system would not only salvage the current situation in the Nigerian MMM society but it would also prevent it's recurrence as a lot of Nigerian participants are eagerly waiting for the resumption of the scheme in January."
There you have it, MMM has done more good than bad, what do you think?

Just as usual unprofessional comparisons, i wasn't disappointed by the comments, and I believe these are from people who profess to be professionals, no wonder the health sector is in a total state of anarchy. OP, there's a saying that "if you do what you love then you'll never work one day". If money is what you seek then you'll be so disgusted by the thing you'll do or things you'll have to endure to make money. "A skilled man will always find himself before kings". In my opinion both professions are very useful in our modern health system. You get paid for your knowledge and ability to diagnose illness and also provide medicinal curative remedies or surgical as a medical practitioner, and that's a wonderful skill. While on the other hand a pharmacist is charged with the production, compounding, promotion of safe use and the proper disposal of drugs and poisons, infact, it extends to the total logistics of drugs. These professions also have very strict ethics, trust me when I say this; if you follow them you'll be very comfortable only if you are contempt.

If grazing reserves will stop the bloodshed, let them have it and stick to it. It is a better deal than having your throat slit or your women molested on your own land.
MasterofNL:
I blame fulani herdsmen for the recent attacks and these are my reasons.

Firstly, the north has always believed in violence and it works for them. The north started boko haram as a major tool to take back power from the south and it worked for them. El Rufai once described boko haram as freedom fighters and Buhari himself at some point said that a fight against boko haram was a fight against the north.

The boko haram violence was a major reason why Jonathan was pushed out of office. The north threatened us with violence if they didn't get back power in 2015 and it worked for them. Today a northern fulani is in power.

Here again the fulani north is trying to annex lands in the MB and south and have come up with the proposed grazing bill. You will notice that attacks have intensified since the idea of the grazing bill came up and the reason is simple. The fulani is trying to strike fear into the hearts of othe Nigerians by killing, raping and mass destruction to make us accept the grazing bill. The idea is for other Nigerians to say "Please give them their grazing reserves so that they will stop killing us and we can have our peace."

Some southerners are aleady saying this. An example on nairaland is Searchiingforlove. This poster has said that Yorubas should collectively appologise to the fulanis and are ready to offer their lands for grazing reserves so that they can have peace. You can go through his post history and see this for yourself. Also check out one joborskills and see him promoting the proposed grazing bill. THANK GOD MOST YORUBAS HAVE REJECTED THESE ONES AND STOOD UP FOR WHAT IS RIGHT.

The north used violence to get their sharia law when there were very terrible religious riots under Obasanjo when many Christians were killed.

The north used boko haram to take back power in 2015. It is true that boko haram existed even before Jonathan became president but they suddenly transformed into a mighty fighting force capable of ceasing territories and attacking military bases. This new boko haram is the one the north came up with to distabilise Jonathan's government. Boko haram before then were being handled by the police and we didn't hear much about them.

The north is trying to use violent herdsmen attacks to establish grazing reserves all over Nigeria and they have their eyes on the MB and southern lands,

Directly or indirectly, the fulanis are responsible for these armed attacks agianst the MB and south. The attacks may not be carried out by local traditional herdsmen but one thing I have discovered is that once they have any issues with any community concerning their cattle, they invite their armed brothers from Fouta Jalon who invade and sack the community.

The big question is will violence work for the core north yet again? Time will tell.

HealthHow Can Your Pharmacist Help You? by nacaz4real(op):
What to ask about your medicines
"Pharmacists are experts who are qualified to give advice on the safe use of medicines. Your pharmacist may suggest a medicines use review, which is a detailed review of all the medicines you are taking, whether prescribed or bought over-the-counter. The feedback is sent to your doctor who can then take any necessary action."
These are a list of things you may want to ask your pharmacist about your medication. And they will always be willing to answer you. You may also need to write these down so as to ask your pharmacist on your next visit.
• Why am I being prescribed this medicine?
• Does this new prescription mean I should stop taking any other medicines that I am taking?
• How will the medicine affect the condition that I have?
• How and when should I take my medicine?
• How long should I take my medicine for?
• When will my medicine start working?
• How can I tell if my medicine is working?
• Are there any foods, drinks or other medicines to avoid while I am taking this medicine?
• What are the potential side effects of my medicine?
• What should I do if I think I have a significant side effect?
• What should I do if I miss a dose of my medicine?
• How do I get more of this medicine if it runs out?
• Who can I ask if I want any more advice or support when taking this medicine?

If you are prescribed a medicine that may affect your daily life and which you think might cause difficulties for you, you should discuss this with your doctor he may be able to prescribe a different medicine that is easier for you to take, or talk to your pharmacist on your next visit.

HealthUnderstand More About Your Medicines by nacaz4real(op):
Medicines are used to control long-term conditions or to treat an illness. They can also prevent us from getting ill.
Knowing what to discuss with your doctor when they prescribe medicines for you will help you understand more about your medicines. It can help you feel more involved in the decision about which medicine is best for you and your condition. This will help you to get the best out of your medicines. To get the best results from your medicines, it is important that you use them properly, as prescribed. You need to:
[b]• Take your medicine at the right times and in the right way.
• Look out for side effects that are bothering you.
• See whether your medicines are making you feel better or worse. If you feel worse or feel that they are having no effect, talk your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible.
• For medicines that you have to take regularly, make sure you always have enough, especially at weekends, public holidays and when you are on holiday.
• Always use medicines according to the instructions on the label on the packet, or as your health professional advised you. Read the patient information leaflet that is provided with the medicine, as it may answer some of the questions you have.
• If your medicines are not used in the right way, they could do you harm. Don’t use them beyond their expiry dates, and don't use other people's prescription medicines.
• If you are ever unsure about how to use a medicine or you would like to ask a question about a medicine that has been prescribed for you, or one that you have bought over the counter, you can talk to your pharmacist.

blackprowler:
This is the self-righteous thinking across the board of most Nigerians. It shows how far nigeria will continue to be from the light until we re-assess our thinking.
University is no longer for education in Nigeria. It is for status symbol to answer "graduate" and also a means to get a high-salaried job which used to be performed by our parents with a secondary school education. The vast majority of Nigerian graduates are empty people. If they ever read anything, it was always something towards getting that certificate. Most don't have any reading skills or interest for that matter. It shows in their values, worldview, and approach to life in general. No wonder older people in their 50s 60s, even 70s who missed out on "education" when Nigeria was still a sane country where only intellectually-inclined people attended higher institutions are now going back to also answer "graduate". Let there be a law today that no degree is required for any job and that only your skills and on-the-job performance or interview/aptitude test results would suffice and in a few years you'll quickly see how much Nigerians hate anything academic. This is what I'm proposing but good for them, no one of our big men/women is co-operating because all their clout arise from the "education" (read: degree upon degree) they have acquired from foreign universities. Have they been able to use the "education" to do anything other than blow big big grammar in the media, as Nigeria continuously slides into the status of a failed state?
Nigeria is a joke and all the people therein are a lost people, absolutely clueless about how life should be and what constitutes progress for a nation. University is wasting Nigeria's money that would be better spent on EDUCATION. University in Nigeria is not education - it is certificate collection. In the digital age of 2016, the govt must spend all money necessary to get all children into boarding school to escape the poison of their parents and environment and give them sound learning and character development, with tens of thousands of teachers imported from abroad to supplement the very few here who know anything at all. The majority of the teachers here are poison to the children's well-being. Una never know anything. We have not started in this country. We are just joking. Where can I start? I've not even written 5% of what I have to say.

You are being a bit realistic but tribalistic. Stop and look at things from another perspective maybe you'll be lucky to see the real picture of things. We should avoid the disease of tribalism it does not promote anything, forget the past because time heals old wounds. Genocide and war is a serious crime to humanity and God. According to my friend HammerT "Igbo's don't and will never hate the North"
Dedetwo:
This is another northerner who occupied a sensitive position in Nigeria that now attempts to shift the blame of Nigeria's socio-politico-economic woes to the general public. You, Alhjai Nuhu-Koko, and fellow northerners have driven Nigeria to bare wheels with no tires and I suggest you spare us this silly lamentation. Nigeria has become a piece of junk due to the reckless mannerism of leaders from northern region of Nigeria that steered the progression of the dumbass country for more than three decades.
Christianity EtcRe: Top Seven Awesome Prophets And Their Lifestyle In The Bible by nacaz4real(m): 4:21pm On Jan 31, 2016
You forgot the greatest prophet of all the one who will be greater than moses and all other before him, Jesus Christ. Or you don't consider him so. lol.
immortalvoices:
I was studying the Bible and I was awed by the ways and doings of the biblical prophet of old, lots of faiths and powers were on display

I do believe that they have set a standard for true and godly prophet of now these days.. So fellow nairalanders I compiled few top prophet and their ways

. I GIVE YOU THE TOP SEVEN MOST AWESOME PROPHETS OF THE BIBLE....

.
..
.
SAMUEL : Samuel lived in the presence of God all his life, in fact he was the only prophet in the Bible that God literally called. That is God like went into his room and called him(awesome right, I mean how many people can boast of that huh?) but the most awesome thing about Samuel is that he is also the only prophet in the Bible that God called in his childhood. SAMUEL was a child when God called him... Totally awesome!

.
MOSES : Moses was awesome. Let's forget the fact that he grew up in Egyptian court, was a prince, very smart, Led his people out of slavery, talked with God face to face (mega awesome), lifted his hand and the tide of battle changes, let's forget those awesome-hard-to-ignore facts, want to know what the most awesome thing about moses is? I will tell you..... Never in the history of human race has these two phrases "... Like a god to them" and "... The Most humble man in all the earth" been used to describe one person. Anybody who gets a taste of power becomes so prideful they literally begin to swell, but Moses(who his enemies see as a god) was humble and that is the very definition of awesomeness

.
ELISHA : The one thing that stands the prophet Elisha out is his boldness. The guy was bold, can you believe he walked into enemy camp and anoints an officer of the enemy king to be king while the enemy king who by the way is still very much alive and want to kill him was a few tents away drinking with his commanders . He rebuked a tyrant king of Isreal who is known for his cruelty to those that oppose him. Just when you think these moves were bold enough, he looked his master Elijah in the eyes, a man who had called down fire to consume evil prophets of baal, who summoned rain on a land devastated by drought for three years, who divided the Jordan river by merely touching it with his cloak, a man who didn't die but flew to heaven on a chariot of fire ; Elisha my man looked at such a person and said " master... I want double of what you got. " Double of Elijah's powers?! Tell me you don't think that's awesome and I will shoot you.

ISAIAH : Isaiah son of Amos deserves to be on this list because he was fearless, he commanded respect. Isaiah was more respected than the Kings he served.

Three things qualifies Isaiah for awesomeness :
* his dramatic calling where in his first vision he was taking up to heaven which he describes in detail(for those who want a picture of heaven look up Isaiah 6) in that vision an angel used a coal to touch his mouth through which he absorbed his sins (just like that no more sin, I want one) then he heard the voice of the LORD asking 'who shall I send? Who will go for us?' Isaiah replied ' hear I am, send me!'

* Isaiah also predicted very accurately I might add the birth of Jesus ( Isaiah 7 v 14, Matthew 1 v 23)

* And lastly he made the most wicked king in Israel's history king Manasseh ( a man who is known for sacrificing his own son to idols, somebody who God himself describes as a king whose sins surpasses that of both the former kings of Isreal and Judah combined together) to repent of his ways and turn to God. As a result one of the deepest prayers of forgiveness in the Bible was recorded.

.
.
JEREMIAH : If God said to me " before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, Before you were born I set you apart. I appoint you as a prophet to the nations, do not say ' I am too young' you must go to everyone I send you and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them for I am with you and I will rescue you ". Then touched my mouth and said to me" I have put my words in your mouth, see today I appoint you over the nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant ;get yourself ready : stand up and say whatever i command you. Do not be terrified by them or I will terrify you before them. Today I have made you a fortified city, a bronze wall an iron pillar to stand against the whole land, against kings, their officials, their priest and their people They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you ". (Do you know what proud me I will do....?) I will call the presidents of all nations to come and bow down before me, I'll uproot those that will not, tear down anybody that challenges me, destroy any form of resistance and overthrow any government that's a threat . Then I will build a big castle for myself, plant a beautiful garden in front of it... Then I will have it written across the skies that I am the king of the world but Jeremiah is not me so instead he humbled himself before kings, their officials and the priests and their people. He offered advice to kings, prophesied to the nations, led the priests in praise and worship even when they threw him in a well, he still begged God not to destroy them and pleaded with them to change their ways. And that was awesome.

.
.
ELIJAH : "the power of the LORD came on Elijah and tucking his cloak into his belt he 'ran' ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel" (1 kings 18 v 46). Now the Ahab in question was 'riding' to Jezreel on his royal chariot (chariots were the fastest means of transportation in ancient times) The speed of a chariot depends on the number of horses attached to it. A normal chariot has two horses attached to it and it's speed(on a free way) is equivalent to that of a sports car doing 350 mph. Now a royal chariot consists of a minimum of six horses attached to its chariot (no need to tell you the speed at which such a chariot would be moving) yet Elijah "ran ahead of " it to its destination (super speed baby, super speed! )
Elijah had super speed and that's him on a boring Thursday.

Here's what he does on busy week days: commanding the skies to withhold the rain until he says otherwise, calling down fire on two separate captains and their fifty men, getting fed by Ravens day and night (doesn't have to cook), blessing a poor widow abundantly and while he was at it, raising the dead son of the said widow back to life. Then at weekends : he challenges 450 prophets prophets of baal to a contest, calls down fire (yeah he's got a thing for fire) from heaven to consume slaughtered Bulls that's drenched in water, hangs out occasionally with God himself on mountains. He's so Cool and awesome that he didn't die but went to heaven alive in style (on a chariot of fire).

.
DANIEL : Daniel was very smart, very wise, could see visions and interpret it, he even ate his vegetables, Daniel was so awesome that he told a king " your days are numbered; you're going to die" and he was rewarded for it by that king by making him second in command over the whole Babylonian empire. Daniel was friends with every king that came to power in his lifetime; they look at him and they get like 'man you're awesome, come work for me and am not taking no for an answer'. But what made Daniel a part of this list was his awesome unwavering faith in God he displayed when his friend king Darius forcefully (yea I know long story) made a decree that no one for the next 30 days should pray to any god but himself king Darius.

Now if I was Daniel I be like 'God please just 30 days, forgive me I promise after the 30 days I'll pray to you more than I would have done in those days; I don't want this man to kill me'. But Daniel didn't do that, he prayed seven times a day and that did not change when he heard the decree ... Even when he was thrown in with the Lions he still prayed to point where Rocky one of the Lions in the den told him "boss c' mon you know we ain't gonna eat you... You too awesome for that shii , God has shut our mouths. But don't worry come the morn' you gonna be free and the muh'fuckers who put you here will be our breakfast" . And so it was, Daniel was released and the bad guys were eaten. Mr D was one of the few people that predicted the end times. all in all Daniel was awesome

Listen Jo, for this very reason in the near future JWs' will be targeted by the world powers or governments, many would refuse to pay their allegiance to any government on earth or any flag, and as a result JWs' would suffer horrendous oppression and persecution. Hope when that time comes Jo you'll help a brother.
joseph1832:
I find the number 7 on that list a gross slap! How can one not pledge his/her allegiance to his/her country? If you ask me, I believe the JW should come together and get a country of their own, saying they don't salute the flag or pledge allegiance to their country is showing gross disrespect!.

Why do you think she's being tagged wicked?

It's whn someone refused to bend the rules, whn the person is strict in dealings and/or when the person is a no nonsense person that people see the person as very wicked.

People want to earn the money they don't work for... They want to work for just 4hrs a day, 3 times a week.
You just spoke my mind. You don't need to be in the system to see the level of moral and professional ethical decay that goes on in some of these Federal Medical Centers, gross misconduct of staffs. There has been so many loop-holes and avenues for milking funds meant for the smooth and effective running of these centers even at top management level. If you come in as a boss with stringent rules without you having the right like minded people on your management team you are finished. She's lucky to leave in one piece, some may go as far as plotting an assassination.
Christianity EtcRe: The Second Coming: A Failed Prophecy??? by nacaz4real(m): 7:44pm On Jul 26, 2015
Reiyvinn:
Being a Christian is really one hell of a job.

Aside the Church-bound duties required of "true" Christians (which are often quite inconvenient and demanding), one mustn't ignore the emotional, mental and psychological War that goes on in the mind of those one who are quite knowledgable or well versed with the Bible.

Trying hard to resist the doubts they tend to encounter is the order of the day for those who read wide and do lots of research in an aim to either justify or investigate their long-held faith. I was no exception.

Ranging from the bloodstained Old Testament to Scientific ludicrosities, Blatant absurdities to historical flaws, authenticities and many many more, I couldn't help giving Doubt a chance.

About this time last year, I wrote a piece here on Nairaland: Questions That Baffle Me About God
and even though it never made frontpage, I'm glad it had the amount of audience it did.

Now I'm here with something quite troubling; something a logical mind should find really really disturbing.

I remember having a dialogue with a Pastor friend some weeks ago when he was on an outreach preaching about the Second Coming of Christ and why everyone should "mend their ways".

I can't quite remember his reaction when I asked "Don't you think this Jesus is taking too long? Are you sure he's coming at all?"

but I do remember him sarcastically replying me by saying "Uhmm.... Our Lord is warming up his whips for strongheads like you, so chill..."

Well, I chuckled. But then, I needed him to go into his Bible to see for himself why I asked such a question, so I directed him to Mark 13:30 which states:

". . .this generation will by no means pass away until these things happen. . ."
(with "these things" referring to the end time, tribulation and the Second Coming talked about in the preceding verses).

He laughed. "Cheap!" He said.

"You don't understand Greek so you wouldn't know" (hehehehe does he understand Greek? Well.... I wouldn't know either lol)

"The word 'generation' in Greek is 'genea' which Lexicons define as 'people of the same kind' so from Acts 11:26, we can tell whom these people are. They are Christians, which means Christ-like. So Christians will never pass away until the Son comes". He concluded.

That was amazing. Perfect wordplay. However, the context of this passage made it clear that it literally referred to those still alive at the time. He refused; holding still to his explanation. Then I took him to Matthew 16:28 which states:

"Truly I say to you that there are some of those standing here that will not taste death at all until they see the Son of man coming in His Kingdom."
(also found in Mark 9:1; Luke 9:27)

His face didn't look so bright afterwards even though he tried making me take his explanation for an answer and how I needed the Holy Spirit to understand certain passages and so on, it was obvious that he was well aware of these passages and the problems the pose and willingly ignored them for fear of doubt (I once did that too). So he never expected it to be used in a dialogue with him. He obviously didn't research on it the way he should have and that's the same thing most Christians do today. Their fear of doubt has amounted to their fear of knowledge and information and honestly, it's really unfortunate.

Now, back to the passage, we all know that everyone "standing [t]here" are now dead, buried and forgotten (that's assuming Jesus even existed)

So what does that make of the Second Coming? A Failed Prophecy or not?

Let's be honest with ourselves.

Thank you.
My brother i once asked myself all these questions. I studied the bible to a point I started to question the existence of God. Until much later in my life i came to realize so many things we were thought at sunday school were not the truth about God, when i mean God I mean JHWH(CHECK) the one whose name appears more than 7000 times in the Dead Sea manuscripts, you hardly find his name in our modern bibles(I wonder why?!). Well I hope you understood the hebrew book of Genesis and the other 5 books known as the Pentateuch(accredited to to Moses), that book tells us about man's creation and how his trouble started and also the promise JHWH...So many prophets foretold the ''End'', Ezekiel, Daniel, Isaiah, Apostle John and Jesus himself gave insights into the last days. What will happen during the Last Day's? You may wonder. Not to digress from the topic I'll give you an insight but I must tell you something very important, the truth will be made known to those who seek sincerely, the truth is a gift from God(JHWH), keep seeking with a heart of sincerity and as he promised he will show you(1chro28:9, 1pet1:10). The last days as we now know does not mean the end of mankind as depicted in movies. No No No. It is the beginning of a new world under Jesus christ where there would be no more troubles, no tears and no death, the kingdom, a restoration of the lost Adamic life (Da 2:44; 7:13-14, Isa 25:8; 33:24 as foretold by the prophets of old). All governments that we know today will be no more, they will cease to exist(Rev 11:18, Rev 21:1-cool. This is the Good News, that God has been passing down from one generation to another, up till our time. This has come with so much price, as a lot of people have been killed on account of this and this news has been largely infiltrated with lies. To ensure that the truth remains and is not completely destroyed till the day of the last trumpet there have been people chosen by God from each tribe of Israel and in each generation till our time to do this Job, some are dead now(they will surely be resurrected) while some will not see death as they would be transformed during the last trumpet. They are the infamous 144,000 including the apostles. They will rule over the New kingdom with Jesus Christ(Rev 14:1; 5:10, 1Cor 15:51-55, 1Tim 6:15, 2Tim 2:12). The bible goes further to tell us more about these ones that during that day they'll be with you then the next minute they are gone, to the shock of everyone who will be there to witness such an event. I will stop for now, I hope this piece give you a little insight into the future. Keeping seeking and u shall find. (WWW.JW.org)
