Here is the scam.. This Chinese company which listed INNOSON as a subsidiary sells its BJ-80 SUV from 288,000 yuan to 298,000 Yuan, which is equivalent to about ₦20,900,000 to ₦18,400,000, excluding cost of shipping and clearing in Nigeria.

The same INNOSON IVM G80 SUV starts at ₦30,825,000.

Shipping and Clearing from China should not add up to 4m naira on the China market price given you assemble here in Naija, enjoy certain inport waiver and Tax rebate.

But the guy is selling it at 27m - 30 MILLION and smiling to the bank .

It's even cheaper to import the original from China pay Customs than buy the replica assemble Nigeria. This guy is cleverly scamming us.

Let's discuss objectively...let me make it clear, i applaud Innoson, he is asset to Nigeria but he is not into manufacturering of cars...YET!! He will get there by God's grace, Rome was not built in a day but what they are doing now is assembly!!!

Truth is, manufacturing the engine block DESIGNED and made up of raw materials SOURCED by the company in question is when a motor company is said to manufacture a vehicle. It is largely the engine and body design patented to the company that earns it the right to be tagged a vehicle manufacturing company.

From the below images, you can see that all vehicles on INNOSON website are on the page of the Chinese-made BAIC company. Its BJ80 SUV states that the Innoson IVM G80 is indeed a variant of the Chinese mid-size 4-WD luxury SUV manufactured by a subsidiary of BAIC (Beijing Auto Industry Corporation) – BAIC Motors under BAW (Beijing Auto Works).

Looking closer, Innoson IVM G80 and the BAIC BJ80 does not only share similarities on their exterior alone but also feature quite the exact same 100% interior design and features like the dashboard styling. Even the wheels are 100% tge same. Even INNOSON G-12 Military Vehicles is a direct replica 100% with the original G-12 on BIAC official website.

Anybody rich enough can basically pay to any assembly plant and badge your car whatever name you want.

Its not possible two companies claiming same vehicles. BAW is the manufacturing company in China while INNOSON is assembling plant in Nigeria. If BAW fold up today, INNOSON can't stand on it own. Benz is not dependent on BMW existence neither is Toyota 100% lookalike with Honda.

Dangote Peugeot Company is no difference from what INNOSON is currently albeit with a better local content ratio.
Go thru the pictures I pasted and judge for yourself.

Politics / meth: Buhari Or Foreign Govt Responsible. Orji by NafeesaAA(f): 12:00pm On Dec 20, 2021
I warned when we started accepting illicit drug trade as a way of life. But as usual, no one would listen because it was coming from me.

Now, don’t get me wrong here. I’m not trying to castigate anyone for whatever lifestyle they choose or any business they wish to indulge in. Personally, I will never willingly involve myself with anything that would break the law. On the other hand, whoever chooses that kind of lifestyle has made a choice.

However, for very good reasons, every government in the world has hard drugs as an illegal practice. Sentences against indulgence range from long spells in jail to ultimate death penalty across the globe. So, it’s a risk whoever decides to involve themselves knows exactly the awaiting penalty. Who am I then to condemn a choice one makes?

But my worry began when such known drug lords started getting highest recognitions and awards in our society. Chieftaincy titles suddenly became their obsession. They started sponsoring and dominating leadership positions in our society. Even the churches started preaching in favour of such prosperity. And suddenly, their affluence permeated our psyche as an acceptable way of life.

But somewhere else, in a popular country where they sojourn, their businesses are destroying youths of that country as drug abuse is no one’s friend.

It is now our turn and we must take the consequences of failure to call evil by its name. It is not beyond the government of that country, after thorough investigation, to have started setting up their own cartels inside our communities to market meth at the home base of the cartel destroying their country. If we diligently trace the originators of this meth in our different communities, it may lead to international partnership clandestinely carried out by the same government to pay us back in our own coins. If the brains behind the Unknown gun men menace are deeply investigated, some of them may be traced to meth cartels, hiding under the mayhem to settle scores and subsequently widen their trade.

Assuming this government in question is not even involved in this retributive justice scenario, who says you can rob Peter to pay Paul by destroying another country’s youths, as some of our nationals have been reported to have been doing in countries where they engage in illicit drug trade, and then using the proceeds to edify your own society? The Creator permits karma and He’s a very just God.

Take it from me, WHATEVER GOES AROUND COMES AROUND. Our leadership in all spheres, most painfully from our traditional leaders, succumbed to the blackmail and cash-inducement of these drug barons to destroy our values as a people. They should not pretend to be cleansing evil out of our land while still driving the vehicles bought for them by these warlords. Nobody shakes hands with a clenched fist!

Nigerians are crying for God’s help and deliverance in our communities especially with the recent rate of deaths and attacks recorded in our communities yet we have not repented from such iniquities like promoting ill gotten wealth from drugs and fraud in our communities. And we pretend to hope that God will answer us.

If it were a written statement, they would have denied it and said it was written by the DSS.

This is totally unfair, unacceptable and a clear case of hatred against the Police by the current administration of PMB.

We are a vital actor in the theatre, currently, the police has more than 5 squadron deployed in the NE. In the last 6yrs of PMB, the Police has benefited nothing from a logistical point of view.

NAF got 12 Tucanos, 3 JF-17, they're expecting more MI and drones. The Army on the other hand has gotten its fair share of logistics. Not a single pump action or tear gas was purchase for the Police.

How do you expect the Police to take over liberated territories from the army? Are we going to use those rickety Nissan vehicles and Shagari era APCs we have?

No body should come here and be complaining that the police are not living up to expectations. Everyone is watching this board daylight neglect.

Don't mind the yeye man.

Sometimes these guys action makes me want to be believe the general stereotype on nairaland that most Muslims are sympathetic to terrorism commited by their fellow Muslims.

I respectfully disagree that because something is built on the foundation of one thing, it means they are the same thing or one has anything to do with the other. Cults and terror groups are created by people who want power and to get that power brainwash their gullible followers.

Do we all remember the Jim Jones cult and the Guyana suicides/mass-killings? Well, Jim Jones built his twisted doctine and cult on the foundation of Christianity. Did that make his cult and followers christians in anyway?

David Koresh built a cult on the foundations of christianity - he called himself the son of God, the messiah, slept with children as young as 6years old - both boys and girls - slept with any of the women he chose, completely subjugated his followers, got them to sign over all their properties to him, used drugs, and preached a warped twisted version of the bible. His followers were convinced they were the chosen ones, and ultimately all perished jn a blaze of 'glory' battling with the FBI. Were he and his followers christian in anyway? Did it have anything to do with christianity? If 30% of Muslims adhere to ISIS or Boko Haram ideology, trust me, you won't be here trying to slump us into a group that barely constitute 2% of our population.

Flash:

Boko Haram: U.S. seizes Nigeria’s $6.1 million as illegal arms contractor pleads guilty.

The United States has seized about $6.1 million belonging to Nigeria after a hired arms supplier pleaded guilty to charges including illegal dealing in military-grade weapons and money laundering, court documents reviewed by Peoples Gazette said.

Judge Erica Grosjean of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California ordered the forfeiture after Ara Dolarian, an unlicensed armed dealer hired by the Nigerian government to help circumvent U.S. ban on arms sale to Nigeria, admitted conducting arms sale without requisite approvals.

Mr Dolarian, who initially denied any wrongdoing, was arrested on May 15, 2019, and pleaded guilty on June 27. His sentencing hearing will open on September 24, 2021, and may be concluded on October 6, 2021, court filings said.

For pleading guilty, Mr Dolarian would face years in prison and would also forfeit $6,024,806.45 cash trapped in various U.S. banks and entities under his name and his businesses. A brand-new BMW vehicle was also confiscated and would be sold by the U.S. government, documents said.

The Gazette saw in the documents that Sambo Dasuki, President Goodluck Jonathan’s national security adviser, contracted Hima Aboubakar, the controversial promoter of Societe D’Equipments Internationaux (SEI), to help broker a deal for high‑explosive bombs, rockets, military-grade firearms and aircraft-mounted cannons to be deployed against Boko Haram insurgents.

The deal came as 2015 general elections loomed and Mr Jonathan appeared desperate to rout out Boko Haram elements and boost his re-election efforts.

To execute the deal, Mr Aboubakar, a citizen of Niger Republic, entered a sales agreement with Mr Dolarian, who did not have license to export arms or broker arms deals as the U.S. had restricted the sale of arms to countries known for flagrant human rights abuses under the Leahy amendments.
“At no point did Ara Dolarian (Dolarian), Dolarian Capital Inc. (DCI) or their affiliates receive DDTC approval to broker defense articles to Nigeria,” the U.S. Homeland Security said in the charges.

Although Mr Dolarian had submitted an application requesting a licence to broker military equipment transactions, it was rejected by the DDTC. But that did not stop him from proceeding to present himself to Nigerian authorities as a qualified arms dealer.

The weapons were valued at $8,616,042.50, and while the sales agreement lasted between June and September, 2014, Mr Dolarian received $8,618, 647.00 in wire transfers facilitated by Mr Dasuki through the Central Bank of Nigeria and First Bank.

Court documents said Mr Dolarian through his business partner, Myron Smith, received a $4,998,647.00 from Hong Kong-based SK-Sawki Limited, owned by Mr Aboubakar’s friend. The arms dealer received the remaining $3.6 million from Mr Aboubakar’s company also paid into Mr Smith’s account.

Mr Dasuki was at the centre of a multibillion-dollar arms purchase scandal that rocked Nigeria in 2015 and 2016. He was held in custody for more than four years, with the Buhari regime releasing him only in December 2019 after disobeying several court orders to free the Sokoto prince.

Prosecutors said Mr Aboubakar’s partner in Hong Kong received about $20 million in two wire transfers from the Nigerian government. The first wire transfer was on May 28, 2014, and the second entered on June 9, 2014.

Prosecutors subsequently revealed that Mr Aboubakar had received $20 million for the arms deal from Nigeria, but only paid $8.6 million to Mr Dolarian for supplies. Nigerian government officials and security chiefs have long faced allegations of profiting from the decade-long war on Boko Haram.

Court documents said the transactions showed how Mr Dolarian, his allies and businesses violated the Arms Export Control Act, describing their activities as “specifically unlawful.” Consequently, all identified proceeds would be forfei
