Business / Re: CBN To Implement E-Invoice For Importers, Exporters From February 1 by Naijabad: 8:53am On Jan 22, 2022 |
he CBN disclosed this in a circular signed by the Director, Trade and Exchange Department, Dr. O. S. Nnaji, dated January 21, 2022, to all authorised dealers and the general public titled ‘Guidelines on the introduction of e-valuation, e-invoicing for import and export in Nigeria’ on Friday. It stated that ‘Further to the circular referenced TED/FEM/FPC/GEN/01/005 dated August 05, 2020, all authorised dealers and the general public are hereby informed of the introduction of e-valuator and e-invoice which replaces hard copy final invoice as part of the documentation required for all import and export transactions. “Effective February 1, 2022, all import and export operations will require the submission of an electronic invoice authenticated by the authorised dealer banks on the Nigeria single-window portal- Trade Monitoring System. “This new regulation is primarily aimed at achieving accurate value from import and export items in and out of Nigeria.” The CBN stated that the e-invoicing guidelines require that products that are more than 2.5 per cent around the vertical price would be queried and will not be allowed successful completion of Form M or Form NXP as the case may be. It stated that an importer/exporter of goods into Nigeria must ensure that the purchase/sale contract with a foreign supplier/buyer stipulates compliance with the obligations set out in this regulation and that the supplier’s/seller’s invoice must be submitted in electronic format and authenticated by authorised dealer bank as part of the documentation for payment. “No importer/exporter may effect payment to the credit of any foreign supplier unless the electronic invoice has been authenticated by authorised dealer banks presented together with the relevant document for payments,” it stated. I dont understand the bolded. I thought what most importers do is to fraudulently reduce the value of their import so as to pay less duty. Do they really increase the prices as conveyed by the bolded? |

There will be ways to circumvent this. This is Nigeria. There is loophole in every government policy. Smart Nigerians have already started how to beat this policy. 1 Like |

All government offices including schools close down for him on Mondays and every day of appearance in court, yet he is a nobody, Saturday has been made official day in South east by him, yet he is a nobody, Just come to Onitsha immediately after the Bridge head and shout 'Kanu is a nobody' and see whether you will stand in one piece in 30 second before the full glare of soldiers, yet he is a nobody. |

Just for your information. Those hoping to do some work while schooling should make provision for a car. It is difficult getting a job without a good car in AU. In fact, some employers make that a prerequisite before engaging you. Just so you know. 2 Likes 1 Share |

SIRG120: You forgot to mention that they hardly get married. Any unfortunate man that marries them unknowingly divorces them within a year or two of wedding. In every three female divorcee, there are two Alpha females. Hence, I advice men, Never marry a woman that divorced her husband, it almost always end in tears. 8 Likes |

oyatz: Any marriage between two people of the same tribe that fails will never survive if they are of different tribes. It is no brainer. There is a place for relations, Umunna as igbos will put it, in settling marital problems. Which umunna will go to FFK to settle their marital issues? Bros, I am and advocate of people marrying from their tribe. It helps a lot. I can assure you that most parent will definitely be against their daughters marrying from another tribe. There is a reason for that. A greater percentage of women who married outside their tribe will never take that decision given a second chance. I have interviewed a good number and I can assure you a lot of them see their marriage as a lifelong mistake. God punish the woman if babies didn't come within the first 2 years of marriage. |
