3 drunks get in a taxi/cab… the taxi driver figures they’re too intoxicated to know what’s going on, so as soon as they get in he puts the key in the ignition and starts the engine, after a few seconds, he switches it off and tells them they have arrived at their destination. The 1st man pays & gets-off, the 2nd man thank the driver & heads out, but the 3rd man slaps the driver. The driver is stunned because he has done this numerous times and was sure none of these drunks would notice. In disbelief, he asks the slapper "what was that for?!" The slapper replies, "next time watch your speed, you almost killed us!"

My husband and I are expecting our first child and the way he’s acting already is insane. He is extremely overprotective. I can't even get out of bed or off the couch without him standing behind me trying to steady me & I'm only 2 months pregnant! You’ll think he knows better because he is a doctor but nope he’s like losing his mind  . He calls me every hour to check if everything is ok. It’s truly heart warming.

I also love how he rubs my little belly and feet. He also listens to my heartbeat and the baby’s heartbeat when I’m sleeping and I act like I don’t see him. Whenever I stop by the hospital to give him food, he tells everybody to come and say hi to his beautiful wife… it’s so cute.

I met my husband at a Nigerian get-together in Maryland and it was love at first sight for me. He was scared to talk to me because my parents were around but seized the opportunity when my sisters and I walked outside to get some fresh air. We conversed briefly and my heart was beating so fast, I thought it was gonna jump out of my chest. . it still does whenever he gets close to me  . He says he knew I was gonna be his wife after our first date. What attracted me to him was his height (he’s 6'1", his big sexy eyes and the way he carried himself. He has presence . . . when he walks in the room, people take notice. He proposed after 3 years and I had put up with so much crap from him that I didn’t know if we were gonna make it to the altar. I won him over by being understanding, supportive and patient. When I met him, he was doing his residency and his schedule was so demanding and still is that we barely spent time together and when we did he was usually too tired but our love was strong enough to bare all. On my wedding day I was 2 hours late but the wedding was beautiful, a few disappointments but overall it was exactly how I had hope it would be. We did not make love on the wedding night  we were both so tired that I almost fell asleep with my wedding gown on. Our honeymoon was in Dubai.

I have to say though marriage is not what I expected. Things are different when you live under the same roof and have found that the key to a happy marriage is respect, trust, a lot of patience and communication. I have no doubt that he is the man that God created just for me. He’s a Capricorn and I’m a Taurus so we get each other. I am a very loyal and loving wife and have never been tempted to be unfaithful because my husband is all I need in a man and more. Whenever I look in his eyes, I see the love and tenderness that he feels only for me (the woman he chose out of a million) and I count my blessings.

I don't think that anyone is more or less special than the other person but sometimes how you carry yourself, your personality or talent can make you outstanding among your peers. When I was in High school--back in the day, I was the smartest among my friends; I was the one they’ll come to if they were having a hard time understanding concepts. One of my friends excelled in sports, the other girl in our group was the most beautiful in the entire school, my best friend among the group was the most optimistic and driven among us. I also have a distinct look which I inherited from my moms side of the family that some people think makes me “outstanding.” As you get older and wiser though all that stuff is irrelevant, it’s what you make out of life that makes you “special.”

The girl who was the least cutest but the most optimistic (my best friend and confidant up to this day) is now running her multi-million dollar company. Either way sha at the end of the day it’s all about loving yourself (which is the greatest love of all) and understanding that life is a journey and there’s a lot you gonna learn about life as you get older and things that seem important now like being popular won’t matter 10 years from now. Most girls who want to be “special” among their peers usually end up no where in life, if you wanna be remembered or be outstanding you need to excel in your academic pursuits and set goals for yourself and that will take you anywhere you wanna go in life, the sky will be your limit.

Truth be told, I have done both and he answers the fone wen I call but he has not made the mistake of dialing my number @ least not to my knowledge and I wonder , " despite it all, am I so forgettable"?? I think it's the shock that he never felt anything dats making me feel worse.

I think the mistake we all make is that we care too much about what other people think or how they view us, and thus allowing them to define who we are. What he thinks of you is irrelevant but what you think of yourself is the most important thing. . . Loving yourself is the greatest love of all. There's an amazing man out there that God created just for you. Don't forget to count your blessings it helps put everything in perspective. . . God doesn't give us more than we can endure. . . You're stronger than this!
