You are a very dangerous person. It seems you have missed the last 20 years in molecular genetics, molecular epigenetics, systems biology and complex systems and you write from a fundamentally misinformed base. Let’s just get this straight, you don’t understand how genetics works in a developmental context, and that’s a shame because information ONLY WORKS IN A DEVELOPMENTAL context. You have consistently unabashedly demonstrated that you fundamentally don’t understand, and rather will not even consider the probabististic nature of developmental processes. Your 5th grade conception of biological processes does not qualify you to possess the opinions you have which is because you write in pop-blog. The only thing that bothers me is that people with even less understanding might read your misinformed opinions and mistake them with a scientific consensus.

Such rabid display of idiocy in one comment...

I'm gutted!

You know, I've never failed to air my discontent over this unholy marriage called JOHESU. I've neither failed to find words to express my hate towards both NMA and the Federal government. Now, who suffers? who suffers?

I'm tired mehn!
You hate the NMA and the Federal Government but have only petty 'discontent' for JOHESU, even if the doctors are not the ones on strike. Way to talk about bias.

When the doctors were on strike you hated them and when Johesu is on strike you are discontented with but still hates the doctors. Pray tell us, why this is personal to you?

Education / Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by naijamd(m): 9:55am On Jul 25, 2014
lomaxx: Ok this is what I'm gonna do
I'm gonna categorize all thr soft copy links from preclinical to final year
All the books you're gonna need
Both Indian and others. You heard me right- Indian books.
-You can have Vasudevan, Charteajea , Sembulimgam , Harsh Mogan all in clean soft copy.
So drop your mails while I find start work.

May I use this time to say that as a medical student, a tablet is a must-have. You need it. If you have money, buy an iPad, bcause the battery life is flawless. The iPad 4 has a battery capacity of over 11,000 mah. If you're just using it to read without browsing, you could go for 4days without charge.

If you don't have money so much, buy a good tablet with a decent battery life. Tecno pads have decent battery life. Samsung too.

With a tablet you can have so many books at your disposal. Instead of buying one book and being limited, you can have as many as 4. It gives you an advantage over ur peers. And best if all, you can read anywhere.

Good luck guys. I'll get back to y'all.
Pls I'll also need the link uyinamuna@yahoo.com thanks in advance

Lilknight: This is the problem we encounter, when we voted an s.u president who doesn't av levels (ibikunle), I cant imagine what wud av hapnd if we had voted mandela, now I realise what d sch mgt wanted to achieve by indicting Mandela and anchor, cos dey knw it ll neva be easy for dem if mandela was d president. Even topsy won't take it with levity, tho ibikunle neva wanted a strike buh the mgt were smart enough to forced an unjustified reason for this strike on s.u government. What a pity, in my own opinion, its good we gave confrontation a trial after negotiation has failed, but at dis point it Is certain we cnt win d school mgt, we doesn't have what it takes, so ma suggestion is to accept and pay the fees to save our wasted tym, this is ma own opinion.

I seriously doubt that you are an undergraduate at any Nigerian university, much less Ife, I take serious issues with your grammar, I know no one is perfect but you could have done much better. What point is there replacing 'MY' with 'MA' when they are both two letters long?

Health / Re: Doctors Begin Nationwide Strike Today by naijamd(m): 7:05am On Jul 01, 2014
How can Nigerian Doctors continue this mudslinging with Joesu for this long. Whatever happened to negotiating for the best interest of your members, without looking over your shoulders and preventing others to negotiate a better deal for themselves...

If doctors think they are superior to all other health care players they should prove it with some class, not by striking over ridiculous demands...
"A King who has to remind his subjects he is the king, is no king at all" Tywin Lannister

Going on strikes because non-doctor medical personnel want to start assuming the tittle of consultants is beneath sane doctors...
After-all what is in a name? A rose by any other name would smell as sweet..

Joesu members should also strive to remember that though they are important members of the health care team, the leadership of the team in the front lines are the doctors, enough of doctor bashing and more focus on patient care...

Finally our government in tolerating strikes like this, is foolish and inept, there has to be punitive measures to discourage strike actions, elsewhere on the planet when workers go on strike, they get paid by their unions for the duration of this strike but not in Nigeria, even ASUU members were paid 6 months arrears for the entire duration of the strike. Why would unions not strike all the time if they have nothing to lose.

There have to be some doctors out there who are ashamed of the antics of the NMA

Religion / Re: Adeboye, Olukoya, Oyedepo, Oritsajafor, Listen To Christ Warning & Amend Ur Way by naijamd(m): 9:06pm On Dec 28, 2013
highyo: Daddy G.O of RCCG, MFM, WINNERS, AND CAN PRESIDENT. One thing I want you all to understand is this. Whosoever much is given to, much would be required.

It is much more better to be a church member and go to heaven than to die and go to hell with the title, Pastor, Reveren, Bishop etc. God has only known you by your name and he's not a respecter of any man.

I want you to understand something. The level of your holiness as a church member can qualify you to enter the kingdom of God but can hindered you as a Pastor, G.O, Rev etc
heed to warning and correction

The love of God towards david, cause God to send Nathan to him to warned him about his errors.

I want you to know that david has all the power to even kill Nathan for coming to challenge him with those words, but he never do that, instead, he humbled himself and heed to correction.

He realised that he was nothing before God. He realised that God has every chance to kill him immediately he commited that crime.
Achan never has the opportunity of repenting, even Saul too.
He was just a shephard before the lord enthrone him to be king over isreal

The same thing applied to you all. You have once live in the mud before the lord called you into the light. You have never once dream of being a General Supretendent of a church one day, but because you were truthful with the one talent given to you by the lord, now he has given you 10 more talent.
I understand we are not angels, we are human, because of your title, that doesnt mean you can't sin against the lord and the lord can't correct you.
The lord has being sending different kind of Nathan to you, like bro Sadiq, Evg Funmilayo, Linda, Emmanuel Oghenetega etc. Even the vision I myself have towards Pastor Adeboye too. Even if you will all argue with linda testimony that she claim to die, the rest never die, nither do I die either. God is the creator of heaven and earth and can use whatsoever he desire.

Do not call God warning a lie, just to make your member relax and feel okay. Let them run away if they want to.

One thing I know very much is that, God love this for Great men of God and will not want them to perish,
Pastor Adeboye has did many great work for God, going to villages to villages in preaching the gospel, and many that had after death expirience like Pastor Yakubu, Sampson Emmanuel all saw his building how big it is in heaven. Will you now take a risk of loosing all this things?

I want you to know that the most dangerous enemy is pride.

Come back to God and plead for mercy.

I was a member of MFM and I can still testify to it that Olukoya preach more of holiness. But till now, I do not know why he's included. But one thing I'm sure of is, God is not a God of confusion. We only see you in church. If you have done something wrong, come out and say it publicly, than confessing your sins in hell for ethernity. God sees every thing done in secreat. He will not lie.

Oritsajafor, what relationship does an unbeliever has with a believer? Is there any love between darkness and light? Turn away from politice and focus on the sheep dedicated to you.

I know some of their member will want to defend them. But before you do that, I want you to know that, I do not have anything against any of these men of God, infact Mummy G.O, and Daddy G.O, of RCCG, CAC, and Deeper life pictures are what I use as my screen saver just to show how I love them all.

Members, you will be judge alone. Not by what your pastor preached to you, but by what is in the bible. Live according to the word of God, live it, eat it, and sleep with it. Exalt the word of God than your G.O. Doctrine. Many member will get to heaven before their pastor

Nansense......rubbish ladies to womanhood......if I hear say I pity them......what did the guys do to them self? Msteww! Na small thing them do am naa! Just insert something for her nyansh.......its a justified course, because she stole......what that peper means to thos traders is what money means to the kids of those traders.....and from the content up here, this is not their first time......just because is pepper doesn't mean it not worth the same electronic shops of LG or samsung
This is not about whether or not you are emotionally touched by what happened to her. It is about sanity and due process, we can not continue to commit barbaric acts in the name of teaching criminals a lesson. What ever happened to justice's close relationship with mercy. So if you don't know what to say, keep quiet and let saner minds talk.

You're a medical student or you've graduated?
If you're a student, how do you intend to combine the rigours of med school and usmle preparation( knowing the demands of both systems are different) .

If you're a doctor, did you have any clinical experience in the united states while you were a student?
I'm a medical student, will be through with basic sciences by May next yr. it customary to write Step 1 in my medical sch immediately after the basic sciences. So preparations are on going nw.

Fair enough, you don't just kidnap a person and hope to get a light sentence when caught. corrupt officials who squander the destiny of future generations also deserve a sentence as severe if not more severe.

Health / Take The Usmle And Other InternationalExams Here In Nigeria by naijamd(m): 2:17am On Aug 02, 2010
The usmle is the united state licensing exam, for medical doctors who were trained outside of the us to enable them gain licenses and residency positions in the US and also prometric conducts exams for it clients which at the moment includes cisco, hewlet packard, IBM,SUN,Mirosoft, Oracle etc etc. but as at this very moment the nearest prometric center is in Ghana. It takes so much to set up a prometric centre but the company i currently work for(i am an education consultant) wants to set up one here in Nigeria, so like every other company they want to know if they are filling a need and most importantly they want to gauge response, the outcome may just depend on your comments questions and remarks, so don't  reserve them.

Already it's morning
another day is here
tomorow keeps becoming yesterday
the future remains bleak
I now doubt the existence of a future

Get up and work
this is the voice of my father's
Get up and work
do something good for yourself
so say's my father's before me

I always knew my weakness
but greatest of them is laziness
I have always done below my abilities
because I have always done little

I have come to crossroads before in my life
I always knew the right path
but on it i never tread
cause I feared it was filled with thorns

Go tread that path
there goes the voice of my father's
Life is not always rosy
if you seek success
you must make work thy friend

Again I tried
again I failed
I did no wrong
I only tried the fast way
A horse that runs fast
don't run long
so say's my father's
If you must succeed
you must be slow and steadfast

Oh what a dilemma
I have never done all this before
How do I go about them now
To get what you've never had
you must do what you've never done
so say's my fathers

it's now simple
I have never worked hard
this is what i must do
Thank you my father's

hello guys, this poem is just a selection from my poetry book, i will so much appreciate more posts of something like this, Bring it out !!!

let there be peace

let the silent doves of the sky sour above the planet earth, just like the heavenly birds of the sacred sky.

let the stream flow in tranquil to meet its line and blow around the peaceful breeze of bliss and life.

let the trees blow around the diamond morning dew, to quench the thirst of soul and that of inquiring mind

let the golden night glow down and up the streets cooling every admiring sight

let the gate of heaven remain open wide
so the earth can feel its peaceful tide

let our weapons of wear be buried deep beneath the earth

so that not even a flash comes back to our mind

let the city smile with their hearts

let love and merriment twinkle like beautiful stars of the African night[/pre]

let there be peace
