You see how a Responsible Government thinks..? Now can you answer this few questions..? (1). So who took the sample..? (2). Who sent the sample to NCDC..? (3). Why did you take the sample in the first place if the people showed no symptoms..? (4). Was the sample sent via Bluetooth..? I wonder why people should be thinking from the anus. AKWA IBOM state Government blindfully refused to take any precautions concerning COVID 19 even when every other states where running around with stiff measures to contain the spread of the virus. Do you know GOV. UDOM Emmanuel allowed full blown church services all over AKWA IBOM this Last Sunday..? When other states were already in their 2nd Sunday without church services. Can you imagine the level of the spread of the virus. Instead of sitting up to accept the test results and start preparing for the next batch of the results that will see AKWA IBOM state overtake Lagos state on the chart... The man is there making noise. That Commissioner should be Arrested and prosecuted. |
Abacha would had wasted this one..! |

Why is the governor so reckless with the people's money when there are high rate of poverty and unemployment in the state, I can understand why the youths were alleged to be frustrated last Sunday as reported by the culled posting from Ibibio Nation below: ``It happened at Uyo Stadium on Sunday, December 20, 2009. My sources are not quite sure of the purpose of the event, but it was organized and sponsored by governor Godswill Akpabio on behalf of the Niger Delta Youths. Musicians were imported from foreign countries, including the famous American Black musician popularly known as Fifty-Cents. All the invited dignitaries from other Nigerian States were present, including some foreign diplomats, among them the Cameroon Attache in Calabar. The stadium was filled to capacity. The music raged on. The youths danced, drank, and for once, seemed to forget about their unemployed status and other social problems. The security operatives scanned the playground of the stadium to make sure that the atmosphere was safe for governor Akpabio to attend. They walked around, inspected every corner and nook of the stadium and were sure that the stadium was safe for Akpabio to come, or so they thought. What the security operatives failed to detect was the anger and the resentments against governor Akpabio that were brewing in the minds of the youths. Confident that the atmosphere was safe, the security chief telephoned his counterparts to drive the governor into the stadium. And, as usual, the governor drove in six hours late into the event. He alighted from his bullet-proof car, went onto the mounted stage and began shaking hands with the invited guests. All of a sudden, all hell broke loose. The youths threw at Akpabio stones, ice watter in bottles and in plastic bags, beer bottles, sand, and any other item they could lay their hands on. The security personnel, who did not expect what occurred, immediately scuttled Akpabio down from the stage, covered him up as much as they could, shoved him into his car, and sped off the stadium. The youths pursued the car, all the way to the main road, but the driver was able to maneuver the car away. Reports said the youths were angry with Akpabio for spending all the money to bring musicians from foreign countries, while their own musicians are squandering in abject poverty and in serious lack of professional and artistic growths, due to lack of money. The event went all the way into the night. And Motor Cycle operators were also angry at governor Akpabio for banning their operation, which stopped them from transporting people to and from the event for money. They took the opportunity to make known their grievances to governor Akpabio. The next day (Monday, December 21) Commissioner Aniekan Umanah and Media Specialist (Usoro Usoro) immediately contacted all the major media houses in the country not to report the incident for fear of embarrassment to the governor and his corrupt government. It is reported that the head of the Nigerian Journalists in Akwa Ibom State has already issued notices to all his members not to report the story.`` Regards Asuquo Essien - Antioch, California |
