If u have DOV before, u don't need to do anything. Just book appointment for visa submission alongside ur new enrolment letter and other necessary documents. Note, If u are not on scholarship ( not regional, avoid Italy). Houston17: Hey guys,
Please I need some clarity.
So I have who went through the entire admission process in 2023!2024 but ended up with visa denial.
If such a person is retrying this year, does such person need go through the MOE/MOF and legalization process again since the previous process already provided DOV?
I'd really appreciate any helpful response.
Many thanks. |

Christianity Etc › We’ve Prayed ‘nigeria In Distress’ For Years — Why Is Nothing Changing? by Nairaland111(op): 11:36pm On Apr 04*. Modified: 11:58pm On Apr 04 |
Happy Easter Nairalanders ✝️
Following the recent events in Plateau State, I’ve been reflecting deeply as a Catholic.
Every Mass, we say the “Prayer for Nigeria in Distress”:
“We present our country Nigeria before You… Lord, we are weighed down not only by uncertainties, but also by moral, economic and political problems… Spare this nation Nigeria from chaos, anarchy and doom.”
But here is my concern:
We have been saying this same prayer for years — even since I was a child. Yet today, Nigeria still faces the same (or even worse) moral, economic, and political crises we mention in that prayer.
So I ask sincerely:
Are we lacking prayers, or are we lacking action and good governance?
The prayer itself already acknowledges the real problems — leadership failure, insecurity, hardship. But beyond praying, what are we doing as citizens and as a Church to address them?
At what point do we move from only asking God to fix Nigeria, to also demanding accountability and taking responsibility ourselves?
This is not to say prayer is not important. It is.
But should prayer replace action?
Or should it inspire action?
Because if we keep repeating “Nigeria in distress” every Sunday without change, then we need to ask ourselves — what exactly is missing?
Is it more prayer… or more responsibility from both leaders and citizens?
What do you think?

Eniolohunda: I love your spirit and it is the spirit of growth. And this is something I usually tell anyone who cares to listen, once you put your mind in it, you can do it. Have the mentality of emancipating yourself out of suffering. Your story reminded me how i started my owm journey, just like you, in 2018, I was all over Google, nairaland, even Facebook searching for how I can travel out of the country for a better life as a professional. And internet is wired in such a way that whatever you search once will be pushed to you more. From there I started seeing the groups of like mind which I followed to WhatsApp, I also thank God for a supportive spouse with like mind. Thank you so much for sharing your own experience. Your words of wisdom really touched me, and there is so much others can learn from your story also. Can I pm u? |

ravensckar: My brother in the hustle, I'm not blaming you o. Sincerely I'm not. Even those of us wey dey Nigeria ain't free from billing o. So, I can imagine what the people abroad will be facing.
Physical billing, I don't mind because it's opportunistic. You jam me one on one for somewhere, I won't even think twice to shake body if you ask me. Because, as far as I'm concerned, it was fate that brought us together on that day.
But you see phone billing, na that one I hate pass. To me, it's premeditated extortion or manipulation. Shishi, I no go give. And I'll be unapologetic about it.
Incessant Billing was the reason I installed TRUECALLER APP on my phone. So that, I'll know whose call to pick, whose call to ignore and whose call to black list. Me wey no get time for serenren.
But you see how the people abroad generalize all of us in Nigeria as "beggars" is what saddens me. You'll now be calling them for something else, they will think it's billing. Na only that one dey para me. But, we thank God sha...
As for your offer on JAPA STUFF, perhaps if any of my sibling is contemplating such, because me I don comot JAPA for my plan o. Nigeria don dey sweet me now, I no wan comot again. I dey abroad nr mean say I nr get guys na. When d billing too much, u nr fit chest am again na. Na grace carry me come abroad nr be grade or hardwork, so I nr fit forget who I be. If u get younger ones, just beg dem make dem get beta grade small n with small prayer, everything go stew. |

ravensckar: Bros, you really dodged a bullet. That person for cast you for the whole world to see.
5 years ago that I was contemplating Canada or U.S for Masters, I put a call through to most of my guys and relatives abroad for guideance. O boy! Some people wey no even get mind miss my call before come dey ghost me.
Some will be replying once every 4 or 5 days and the few others that responded gave very discouraging info about life abroad. Not like I couldn't see through the BS though. I just smiled. Since then, meself stay my lane.
As fate would have it, I decided against it and stayed put in Nigeria. Now, na some of them dey need my help for stuff in Nigeria. It's now my turn to be forming busy.
Now that some of them know my new line of hustle, them don dey dm me dey ask for advise and guideance. Me? I dey form busy self. Your messages go dey my inbox for weeks, I no go even open am. Dem papa! Shebi dem think sey na only dem go make am for life. Thank you so much for your contribution. I came online out of frustration. If I tell you the amount I’ve spent on giveaways, you won’t believe it. People complain that Nigeria is very hard, yet they’re able to train their children who are now growing into adults, while I’m still trying to put my own life together. I won’t mention the specific country, but you can already guess from the scholarship name. I think you should focus on the DAAD scholarship — it’s straightforward. If you need help, don’t hesitate to ask. Also, don’t limit yourself to just that. Apply for other scholarships and join free travel WhatsApp groups to learn. Between 2021 and 2023, I was practically living on Nairaland, reading everything related to japa — from page 1 of the travel section up to page 3000. |

I know many people will come for my head, but I honestly don’t care anymore. Enough is enough. Stop placing your entire family problem on your friend overseas. I understand things are hard in Nigeria, but don’t depend completely on me for survival. I was once in the same country with you before I travelled, so I know how it feels.
Back then, the main reason I stayed in contact with most of my guys abroad was because I respected myself. I never begged for money, even when I didn’t have a dime. I hate insults, and that alone made me decide never to ask anyone—apart from my siblings—for help. Not even my uncles. And mind you, I was earning just ₦35,000 from 2022 to December 2023 before I finally travelled.
Some will say, “Na you tell them.” But honestly, I am not even a social media person. My friend who took me to the airport was the one telling people, despite my warning.
The worst part is that just one week after arriving, I received more than 50 messages from different people asking for money, while I was still trying to settle down. The only relief I had was that I came on scholarship, so I didn’t need to worry too much financially. I politely begged everyone to give me time to settle first.
By the second month, I was lucky to get a job while still receiving my stipend. I prioritized the important ones—mostly students—when helping. But even then, the painful part was that anytime I sent money to one person, they would tell their sister or someone else to start contacting me because “their share don come.” Even guys earning over ₦200,000 still call to beg for data because “Nigeria no easy.”
Just this morning, a friend of mine who is a lecturer sent me another long message begging for data—after I’ve sent him money several times before. I saw the message and ignored it. I’ve promised myself never to respond again. This man is married with kids, has a stable job, and even owns his own house. Meanwhile, I’m not married and don’t even have my own house in Nigeria, but he wants to be asking me for money every day while I’m here hustling under harsh weather.
Last year, my former colleague messaged me saying I should remember to take him overseas and that he prays for me every day. I told him straight: “You know I have siblings who just graduated. Do you really think I’ll abandon them to take you?” Please don’t put your hope on me. I’ll guide you on how to move on your own, but don’t depend on me to take you abroad because I can’t.
Before now, I used to hear that people change once they travel overseas and stop talking to people back home. I understand why now. It’s because everyone wants to collect money from you. Today you help someone, tomorrow they’ll message that their mother is in the hospital. You finish attending to that, and another one comes saying their landlord wants to throw them out.
Thank God I changed my number. Nobody should come and kill me. When I was earning less than ₦40,000, even the same friend who is a lecturer never assisted me with anything—even though I never asked. *File photo added by admin

wip7: Consider Turkey, you will be accepted with age 28....but the fee is 4500$/year! You will need to pay 1000$ to the university before you can apply for a visa and pay the rest as the semester goes.
If you have OND/other certificate that proofs you have been engaged academically since, then you will be admitted to Cyprus also.
If interested let me know! Prof, I have OND in electrical electronics engineering. Can you help me with admission either in NC or turkey. Though I'm 28yrs also |

what is family ? Do u know we ar xam family because we are serving xam God? Do u know we ar family because we ar in xam blog? So do u know we ar family because we ar 4rn xam tribe or state or country D relationship I ll agree is dt dey maybe jews which d gentiles ll nt agree to attend because of discrimination, so wat relationship ar u talkin abt ?? my Bros 4get dis argument because I Dn't c ur stand dolphinheart: It was the person I replied that used the words " mere invitees" . Inviting someone to a wedding does not make someone special. The person is already special, that's why he or she is invited.
Buy mary's invitation is different, she is probably family to the couple for her to have such influence. Someone who you invited to your wedding, who is not part of the organizing committee cannot be giving your ushers command na. Unless that person has the authority due to his or her closeness to the couple . Likewise you can't go a wedding you are invited to and tell the ushers to go and fetch water. But you can do so if you are related or very close to those doing the wedding.
On the issue of the organizers asking mary to ask jesus. This I dnt believe, mary would probably have noticed herself and gone to meet jesus. If the organizers have asked mary, the head would have been aware and would not have made the statement he made when he tasted the wine later. |
