Tech JobsRe: Microsoft Visual Studio.net Programmer Needed Now! by Nairaplus(m): 1:53pm On Jun 22, 2012
html2java: If you are a programmer with proven experience in Visual Studio.NET 2010, please do not hesitate to email me now.

html2java@gmail.com
or call 08038228794

Thanks in anticipation
Why not get a good book and use your laptop and your head.

If you ask me to teach you in-depth, you would be paying not less than 240k for 12 month. I am sure that makes your head ring, so get a good book and get your hands dirty. But if you insist, go ahead with your original mission, but just so you know, no-one can make you a good programmer apart from yourself.

BusinessRe: Linkosms Has Crippled My SMS Plateform For 3 Months Now by Nairaplus(m): 7:44pm On May 28, 2012
I'm surprised that you waited for 3months before finding a solution.

Secondly, as for the bulk sms thing, I prefer dealing either with established companies with physical office address, and registered business name. This is because I wouldn't want to experience such as has happened to you, thereby disappointing my subscribers.

Third, as for doing business with Nigerians, I'm working on a solution.

Fourth, I wonder why nobody else complained.
Technology MarketRe: 79Million Nigerian Active GSM Numbers For Sale: 20K 4 Only 100 Pple by Nairaplus(m): 12:17pm On May 28, 2012
Is it not in E-Format? I believe it is. I'm a PROGRAMMER/DBA so if you don't know, I can help you with information on how to locate the phone numbers even if there are one billion records in there.

Just tell me if it's in XSLX/XSL or TXT format. And I will tell you how to go about it.
Technology MarketRe: 79Million Nigerian Active GSM Numbers For Sale: 20K 4 Only 100 Pple by Nairaplus(m): 11:27am On May 28, 2012
I need the database of phone numbers, but I want to make sure it is correct.

I believe that they are sorted by STATE, SO here's a confirmation I want you to do on that database of yours.

I will add you on Facebook, and send you some phone numbers and if your database can accurately specify the STATE of at least 70% of them, then I will have no problem paying you the 20k.

Computer MarketRe: Brand New Laptop Needed by Nairaplus(m): 4:04pm On May 22, 2012
alphamars: Bro..how much can I get that specification for fairly used?? I really need it fast
Why the hurry? If you need fairly used or refurbished, take your time to find it. But just like someone told you, you can't get a new one of that spec for 110k. If you do an Amazon or Ebay search, you should get that fairly used for around that amount or a little more, IF YOU FACTOR SHIPPING, BUT YOU KNOW THAT YOU HAVE TO HAVE A US CONTACT TO RECIEVE AND SHIP TO YOU.

moderattor: facebook fanpages should show you that people won't need websites in 2020
People are already confused. Fanpage is not a Website. It's just a FAN PAGE. NOTHING MORE OR LESS.

Even if ZUCK has such evil plan, Google will have to kill him to remain relevant.
BusinessRe: How To Make Money Printing Recharge Cards by Nairaplus(m): 4:58pm On May 21, 2012
Lizzyye: Pls how much capital is needed to start a recharge card business, honestly am tired of working for someone else and at the end of the month gets paid 12k, it makes me sick, right now hav decided to stop by april ending and start a recharge card biz. So i really want to know how much it wld cost me to start, already i have 80k.
The capital for comfortably starting and earning as a sub-dealer of recharge cards for the 4 GSM Networks is THREE MILLION NAIRA.

You will operate as Network-Accredited Sub Dealer, and receive commissions on volumes of recharge cards you sold. And, you will register and buy directly from the DEALERS, and then re-sell wholesale to retailers.

Don't listen to those telling you one software can do this job. The people who tried that stuff in the past has been overtaken by change in POLICY from the OPERATORS.

ComputersRe: Help, My Megabite Runs Out So Fast. by Nairaplus(m): 6:47pm On May 04, 2012
Are you sure you have completely uninstalled you MSE? I doubt that! Please Restoreyour computer OS back to a date earlier than MSE installation and try browsing again. It should work because my guess is that, just like some other stubborn softwares *esp antivirus* programs, the uninstallation did not entirely remove MSE installation from your PC.

If this fails, then try using your Modem on another PC and see if it continues that way. If it does, Go to Glo!
ComputersRe: Help, My Megabite Runs Out So Fast. by Nairaplus(m): 10:18am On May 04, 2012
That's because you are not the only one using the data you subscribed. Some softwares on your system are also busy downloading without your direct consent. Please check this article for what to do: http://nairaplus..com/2012/05/how-to-reduce-your-internet-data-usage.html

solarj05: The standard cost of setting up a pure water factory does not really have an absolute value, because it depend on your scale of production. For a Relatively small scale, with N0.5m you will go a long way. If you are intrested, i can draw up the budget for you. Just contact me as above.
The Biggest Lie OF THE MILLENIUM
Form, Fill and Seal Machine costs more than half that sum. We've not even talked about the other costlier equipments, especially the WTP and Distribution Vans. How about Inventory. And Rent/Factory Buiding?

I just hope noone takes this your estimate serious? Please give your clients a Feasibility study rather than hasty assupmtions like highlighted above.

Just my 2Cents!
Nairaland GeneralRe: Seun: You Must be Losing Money from Ads by Nairaplus(m): 6:47am On Apr 19, 2012
Seun: This time the ban was about hacking content.
I'm so sorry to hear that. Did Google explicitly tell you the ban was solely cos of Hacking Content? If not, I think you should check their updated Ad.sense policy. I've come to notice that Google doesn't care? Whoever breaks a bit of that policy is their enemy.
Second, it's high time to consider other Nairaland Potentials. You know, spectators in a game see all the overlooked opportunities, better than the players, because they aren't attached to the game at all. I use ad.sense on my site, but I don't make it my only option.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Seun: You Must be Losing Money from Ads by Nairaplus(m): 6:40am On Apr 18, 2012
oluwa12002: Why is their no more adsense ads on nairaland? Are u making enough from the custom search. Or is it my browser blocking them or not? Or is your adsense account cancelled.
Well, I only noticed the disappearance of the mobile website ads. Never really noticed it was global. Well, Seun knows better.
AdvertsRe: Live simply, stop rushing by Nairaplus(m): 10:57pm On Apr 15, 2012
limitbreka: When i heard of forex trading i thought it was as easy as the preached, but when i ventured into it. I reserve my comment on that. After 3 months of constant practice on a demo account, i felt i have grabed all it takes to make money from forex and i deposited $1000 and started trading, in less than 2 weeks i had just $127 in my account. I was so disappointed especially the way my friends made jest of me. The last trade i placed that day was on EURUSD and it was already against me within 30min i lost about $56 leaving me with less than $80, i got angry an shotdown the system without even closing the trade. I didnt even put a stoploss or takeprofit.

After about 2 months without talking about forex or anything online money. i decided to check all my mails. To my greatest shock, my trade on EURUSD which i left was still running with a profit of $11,567. (N1.7 million).

Since then, i decided to devote myself to forex trading.
If you love yourself, withdraw $10,000 from that account. Then use the remaining $1,000+ and continue your try-your-luck adventure.
BusinessRe: Making Money On Blogging by Nairaplus(m): 10:25am On Apr 15, 2012
ribechi: @cooltrycia and ojdollar. You guys are quite impressive and knowledgeable. Well i will like to add at this juncture that whoever is a blogger and is using blogger.com is only wasting his or her time I say this because it is too manual to use and make money from. Secondly, you are restricted on the kinds of posts you make and various other stuffs i would not like to go into. The best you can do is to make use of wordpress blog installed on your website. Then get plugins to do the rest of the works for you which includes monitoring when your post is indexed the amout of traffic you get daily, keyword optimization and at the end making your site google friendly. Without this it is very difficult to rank and start making money on blogger.com.
I wonder where you got this info from. Please, tell me two notable Nigerians that make money blogging. To the best of my knowledge, the top two for now are using blogger. I don't want to mention names, but at least, I know one of them, and have seen some of his earnings.

Moreover, I make mine with a free blogger blog till date. So, @OJ, you blogger is equally a good option.

ProgrammingRe: What Programming Languages Do I Need To Design A Site Like Nairaland? by Nairaplus(m): 11:40pm On Apr 14, 2012
delomos: There are three main component to any web application [site]:
- the front-end (what you're currently looking at, or the pretty stuff, not that NL is really pretty but you get the gist)
- the server-side logic (language), that makes sure that when you click that submit button, it works, etc
- the database, that saves all this data, posts, friend request, etc

And there are tons of langauge that are responsible for make that happen
To design the front-end, you generally use: HTML/CSS/Javascript

the server-side programming language (any of this are popular these days): Python, Ruby, PHP and C#[ASP.NET]

For the database (any of these are popular): Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL and MSSQL

Generally, Google can help you with the rest.
@OP, this reply is all the answers you need summarized. All you need do now is Google every bit of information you have there. But remember, you only need one server-side and one backend together with all the frontend

Web MarketRe: How To Get Bulk SMS Gateway by Nairaplus(op): 7:04pm On Apr 08, 2012
lojik: You can buy the software and choose where you would prefer to buy SMS from.
You can have your own API and have as many resellers as you want.

At present, over 1,500 websites use our software to power their SMS websites (The list is available at our Agege office).

Get the software from www.smsportalcreator.com and we will make local and international API recommendations that you can connect to.
What software? Are you referring to a bulk sms website script? My main concern is: What do I need to put in place to sell the SMS without needing to buy from someone as a reseller? If it's possible, that's exactly what I want. I don't care how much it costs.

ProgrammingRe: Which Do I Learn First C Or C++ by Nairaplus(m): 2:59pm On Apr 07, 2012
nairathemes: I want to start learning C/C++ and from some research I made online, I discovered that C is a subclass of C++.

I intend learning both, I already bought a book for C.

Which is preferable to start with C or C++?
Learn C++. You need to master just one programming language(desktop), rather than learn many with nothing to show for it.

That's my opinion anyway!
