Islam has been in Africa far longer than you think, the christians were mostly only north africans and Ethiopians. The rest of Africa weren't. Muslims educated a Africans and many accepted Islam willingly due to the honesty and sincerity of the muslims. North Africans also supported the spread of Islam due to better treatment under the Muslims than the Byazantines. The first largest university in the world was in Timbuktu here in west Africa. Look at the kingdoms and morals of our ancestors they're far better than what we are experiencing now. The only primitive people were those who didn't have kingdoms but any kingdom in Africa was great and full of wealth.

It is your invocation of God in the oath that is its most important element. So when allah swears by a mountain, the moon, the stars etc, that means that allah's is invoking these objects in the same way that muslims invoke him. That is a very strange behaviour which no one would expect from a god.

Muhammad innovated a lot of things that Allah never commanded. Muhammad refused to follow the commandment of Allah that asked Muhammad to pray 3 times daily but Muhammad chose to copy Zoroastrianism 5 times daily prayers and he copied how they performed ablution and the timing of their prayers.

So the conclusion is, Allah never asked Muhammad to flog those who drink wine, Allah only said you shouldn't pray when you're intoxicated/drunk, that you should hold on till after the wine has cleared off your eyes.

Not everything is in the Qur'an especially matters of jurisprudence. Like, ablution and prayer, they were only mentioned in the Qur'an but not explained in detail, that's where hadith comes in. Any instruction in the Qur'an is the highest and unarguable one, while the hadith is scrutinised and the most authentic ones are chosen.
