1. Please I Want to ask if the DMC calls the sponsor during a UK Work visa application to confirm if they know the employee?

2. If I have used my sister's home address as where and who I will be staying with when I get into the UK, will they call her to confirm if she's aware of this arrangement?

Biometric 20th January
On January 26th main applicant got a mail from home office to submit another English proficiency as the IELST that was submitted was not UKVI IELST.
Registered for Pierson but was not allowed to write with national ID. We then registered for language cert, exam was written on January 31st. Result came out on February 7th and was sent to home office same day.
Application moved to VAC on February 10th
Application received by VAC on February 10th
collection mail from TLS received on February 10th.
BPR mail received today February 11th for both main applicant and dependents .

I want to say a very big thank you to everyone that has been contributing in this skilled work page. I learnt a lot from here .
To all those waiting for their own good news , may God perfect all that concerns your application.

Please I want to ask if Healthcare Visa comes with 4yr duration. It's 3yrs and 5yrs I'm aware of and stated on the gov.uk website.

Has anyone been issued with a 4yr COS and has applied for the visa and was successful?

It was moved from 15th of November to 2nd of January on the COS. But she wont still meet up with that 2nd because of air fare. She might likely fly second week

Oh I see... So the resumption on the COS can be changed. Thanks for feedback.

Thanks. I know the validity is 3months.but I want to know how much room the employers give for resumption after the COS is issued.

Like will there be adequate time for visa application, flight booking, sorting one's personal stuff etc.

So one won't be under too much pressure.

visa application 1st dec (Standard)
biometrics 7th dec (Ikeja TLS ASSISTED SERVICE)
decision 16th dec
transferred to vac 21st dec
received by vac 21st dec
dispatched with dhl 21st
received today from dhl 28th dec (dhl delayed due to festive period)
It actually took a very long time due to COS allocation
I took a lot of risk...even sent the kids to village thinking everything will work by September for where!
She had 3 interviews from different employers but this one scaled through.
3 PCCs (from 5k to 40k), 2 TB tests

I also have another story to share for my friend that is not on this forum. His COS was quite swift (1 week). only one job application. He is currently on visa application.
Also he did ecctis, which came out in less than 24hrs after payment (swift too). I paid 48hr fast track service for him but it was less than 24hrs (from 21st-22nd). I don't know if it was because of their holiday that started on 23rd. I was shocked because most people in this forum said ecctis takes 20days, 30days lol.
I thank God for everything and everyone who contributed to my questions. Its quite a helpful forum cos I read from the beginning of the thread.

Please I'd like to ask when her resumption date is if you don't mind. I just want to have an idea of the gap between COS issuance and work resumption date. My wife is expecting her cos too and she wants to be able to plan accordingly. Thanks

Please how can I do a walk-in for my tuberculosis test appointment and biometric? I booked for tbt today but the available date was 23rd which is actually after the date I want to travel.

I want to do a walk-in maybe on Thursday and then also do a walk-in for the biometrics on Friday. I am paying for Priority.

I think you should check Qlife hospital they might hv a closer date than IOM.

Dont say it doesn't require picking up ,u probably used that method and I got mine from alagbon the next day,I did non appearance,police processed it for me and delivered it tru a courier , someone on this trend also got his own same day by registering on possap.gov and going to alagbon to capture and got it within an hour .

Thanks for the feedback. The woman at Alagbon is saying that embassies are rejecting the new PCC because it doesn't carry biometric details like the old one.

Please how true is this?

She's trying to convince me to capture and thumbprint the old way since my registration in the portal hasn't reflected on their end.

I did a fresh Police Clearance certificate today at Alagbon for N45k. The expired one cost N7k. It's unbelievable. Got it within an hour though. Was told the official cost is N30k with long process.

please did you do the online part yourself? If yes, was it Panti Command in Yaba that showed in the invoice page that comes before the payment page? I'm expecting to see Alagbon since that's where the processing is done so I want to be sure. Thanks.
