Release terrorist? |
Why the increase in illegal arm possession? Another case was reported earlier: https://www.nairaland.com/8306648/man-arrested-shooting-friend-after |
MrIcredible:Buhari can release him in Presidential capacity. That may require Mr lawyer and co fielding him under APGA in 2027! Would the likes of this so-called lawyer be calling for the release of anyone who broadcast hate with orders to harm or kill Igbos? |

Quite a good number of blacks seem incapable of overcoming the negative primordial tendencies of greed, selfishness, insincerity, covetousness, etc especially when within their own perceived environment/domain/town/etc. This is borne out of poor social, cultural, individual and even spiritual awareness and refinement. When the accepted norm from the elected governement official who would make himself believe he has been blessed to pilfer away State resources and oppress citizens, to a civil servant who would choose associates and friends rather than conduct fair recruitments, down to the tuke-tuke bus driver who would habitually ignore traffic lights as if it's his fundamental human right, a society in a never-ending cycle of directionlessness is created. Why do blacks who migrate to more developed societies excel in terms of intellect, skills and leadership? |
DrRasheed:In most cases, it's the same Nigerians who are assigned to conduct recruitments and run the NGOs since they are resident in the Country. This is one of the reasons why most of the NGOs have basically zero impact on communities. In fact, many seem non-existent. Except the organisation is directly managed by the owners (local or foreign) where merit, fairness and impact on the society would be seen. |
rinzaugustine:Nothing such as 'Anioma' until in the 1930s when Igbo groups resident in those areas began naming the lands - Anioma. |
Bede2u:The likes of Nnamdi Kanu, Simon Ekpa and co do not have such capacity even within the SouthEast. These guys can't even influence a change of government within any of the SouthEastern states. In fact, there's no evidence of any form of positive development in the S/East anchored by ipo.b. Only armed gangs who intimidate and kill poor, striving citizens in the name of sit-at-home. They can't even take the sit-at-home madness to their government houses. |
LOL Won't be a surprise at all as the Biafra agitation is just a quest for a shift in elitism by a few in the South East such as Nnamdi kanu, Simon Ekpa, etc. |
id4sho:Nothing to do in Edo. Edo has always had a well-structured traditional system and people with strong cultural values. No level of politics can push any misguided elected official to attempt such. |
She was a determined minister with good policies, albeit a little bit overzealous in some cases such as the mass weddings in Niger. A more strategic approach could have been taken which would have had a delayed impact, but could have been perceived as more acceptable by the beneficiaries. She also seemed to have overlooked the political shenanigans related to her ministry and position, and this provided opportunities for rivals to make cases against her. Overall, she is a great and passionate individual. |
Shattuck:The Ikwerres have always been a distinct people and asserted their identity. The Igbos have always tried to play these games especially from the colonial periods. There are a lot of accounts from even Dutch and English colonialists and explorers narrating how Igbos always delibrately attempted to subdue the Ikwerre (and other groups) language(s). There are documented accounts from these people. One of their gimmicks (up till today in their pursuit of biafra) is delibrately attempting to make their language a dominant language over the indiginous language(s), then give false narratives of history. Additionally, in the pre-colonial era, one of the major factors which necessitated many of these indigenous groups make efforts at learning the Igbo language was for trade; especially during the slave trade era when Igbos were mostly sold as slaves by fellow Igbos, and indigenes in these coastal areas acted as middlemen. There was no structured educational system which would have necessitated the use of a lingua franca such as English as we have today. Unfortunately, such system has further made many descendants of various groups lose understanding of their own languages. That's why delibrate attempts MUST be made to ensure indigenes have good command of their indigenous languages. Majority of your radio stations and other media, when not using the official lingua franca of Nigeria (English) should broadcast in your local indigenous languages. The so-called leaders in these areas MUST rise up to their responsibilities or considered sabotuers.

8.With the rise of Benin kingdom in the south and hostilities in the kingdom, many of these igbos that had migrated there prior to this time (Ezechima, Akalaka etc) began to return home. There deliberate migration towards the east, crossing the Niger river back to Onitsha shows they knew where they came from.As already noted in the book, cambridge history of Africa before 1600AD,page 273,the density of population in eastern region was already high before 1600AD when Ezechima and family is said to have left Idu/igodomigodo. So migrating in reverse, against an already densely populated area must be a deliberate move heading home and its unlikely they arrived onitsha a virgin land.LIARS from the pit of hell! So Eze Chima, a chief priest who sojourned from present day Anambra, paid homage to the Oba of Benin, and was accommodated and given lands in appreciation, now according to these filthy lies existed before Benin Kingdom? In 1600s? The Edos were a well-organised civilisation centuries before 1600s, not people who just discovered themselves with the arrival of colonialists! The Oba who hosted Eze Chima was the Sixteenth (16th) Oba of Benin (Oba Esigie)! Why and how was Eze Chima and his people who were welcomed and warmly embraced by the Oba and Edos chased away? Where did they migrate to and which other settlers did they meet? Let me help out with the latter part: they migrated to what is Delta North of today and met various groups of people there; Igalas, Yorubas (Olukumis), Edos, Urhobos, Isokos, Itsekiris and other Igbo migrants. Why was this area so 'cosmopolitan'? This was a trade zone which connected Present-day Delta to people of Kogi and Anambra mainly owing to the coastal nature of 'Delta', even prior to the slave trade era as European and jewish merchants who came through the sea traded commodities with the locals - cowries, hyde, woodwork, bronzeworks, crops, etc. Different eras in the course of time, led to even more migration to this strategic area and many of these migrants are now called indigenes. This is a reason why a significant number of these indigenes would tell you they are not Igbos, with many insisting they are of Edo origin while a set whose lineage maintained Igbo geneology would say they are Igbos. There are still the Olukumis, Igalas, Urhrobos, etc who cannot be eclipsed or denied their heritage and indigeneship. The natural realities and facts of intermarriages, hybridization of languages and cultures over centuries would produce cultures and languages which have elements of the various groups. You better know your history and desist from lies and deception as these won't achieve anything, but discontentment, unsettled minds and heartache in perpetuity. |
Trying hard to copy North Korea? Were these not the same people who hurled all manner of insults at GEJ and his wife on and off social media? Now abducting Nigerians all over the whole place. |
The truth is even if Biafra is 'experimentally' created in the SouthEast, it would implode before six months. |
Which one be confidential? |
If the account given by this young man is true, all those involved in his ordeal and that of the now mentally unstable Morakinyo shall never know peace. Pain and sorrows shall be their portion for the rest of their miserable lives. |
Mtcheeeew! Getaaaat! |
LoL. Legal Luminary! The boy may have been used to replace a criminal, then given the sentence. |
Who should be held accountable? Buhari spent Eight years in government and filled virtually ALL government MDAs with Northerners, likewise security chiefs. So calm down on lamentations. The North's case is probably far better than most of the South at the moment especially in the area of infrastructural development. Many Southern States don't have motorable interstate roads due to abandonment by the Buhari's administration over a period of eight years! Unemployment at all time high also. Equitable attention should be placed on all regions, not just a part of the Country. |
VULCAN:I assure you, NO ONE born with a silver spoon would make such comment. If given the chance, the would have the loudest voices in protest. Na suffer make Davido or Kemi voice out? It's the ones who have suffered the highest degree of victimhood who would defend such anomaly. |
These folks are not evolved enough to have State Police. Animals in the bush behave with more maturity and decorum. |

Without a single court hearing, the accused is still held illegally in a corrective center and orders issued by magistrates. |
kindmman:It was deliberate. Many of these posts are from recruited posters. They have nothing more to post regarding the lady, they started spinning falsehood. That's the level of socioeconomic and moral decadence produced by those at the helm of affairs in Nigeria. And these are the people she's calling out. |
Fashdeejay:Even more like a state of hopelessness and eroded values to the point of doing anything when offered a token. This is evident by multiple irrelevant posts all over social media. Rather than sanitize and improve the institutions and systems in Nigeria, they've focussed on attempting to denigrate the lady. Kemi, keep dropping daily nuggets till they have sense! |
sirray001:Such election would be difficult to rig due to block votes coming from multiple zones. |
adecz:This is not the same Kemi. |
That seems to be Acanthosis nigricans. It is commonly seen in individuals who have insulin resistance (but there are other less common causes). It is also seen in children and in some cases, hereditary. You have to take him to Hospital to be evaluated. Amongst investigations, Fasting Blood Sugar or HbA1C should be done. And this should be checked at least once a year. Another less likely differential would be Psoriasis. In any case, take him to the Hospital or a Dermatological center if you have any close to you. |
