PoliticsSubsidation Doesn’t Support Buissnesses, Roads Rails Mines And Factories Do by Namnam(op): 9:50pm On Nov 30, 2021
There is no point for the Nigerian government to subsidize or take away funding for corporations if the Nigerian market itself isn’t growing as small markets mean small potential profits and likewise corporations become what they’re like in the USA and become a drain on taxes constantly begging for more government money than contributing to the economy. I’m glad leaders that aren’t buhari realized this and are funding more roads and rails not just between provinces but neighbouring states like niger Ghana and Togo
PoliticsRe: Nairaland Is Part Of The Problems by Namnam: 2:05am On Nov 30, 2021
But this site isn’t popular, it’s the 7th most native made website popular in nigeria, your thinking of a circle of idiots endlessly spamming sectarian and tribal threads away from the section of this website they’re supposed to be simply because they’re bored and have nothing better to do
PoliticsRe: World Bank: Nigeria’s Fiscal Position Is Vulnerable To Global Headwinds by Namnam: 2:03am On Nov 30, 2021
BigSarah:
Majority of Nigerians are in support of his policies and style
No one supports buhari, people support local governments like Lagos and Abuja mayors but buhari spent his time in power by showing open support for terrorists and encouraging policies that led to inflation and civil unrest, the sooner he’s gone the better this country becomes
PoliticsRe: WHO Calls For Borders To Remain Open In African Nations by Namnam: 1:40pm On Nov 29, 2021

PoliticsRe: Fuel Subsidy Removal; Federal And State Govts May Share 1 Trillion Naira Monthly by Namnam: 1:29pm On Nov 29, 2021
When the hell has cutting funding for revenue producing assets ever led to any form of societal development, don’t fucking cut that unless those same dipshits expect to fund industry that can cover the costs of whatever the bleeps about to happen
PoliticsRe: Nigeria's request of 400billion dollars Adaptation Funds is not a loan by Namnam: 1:26pm On Nov 29, 2021
400 billion in usd… what in the ever loving Bleep would anyone in this country much less the government need that kind of money for in practicality? we’re poor but there’s a limit to how much money is actually needed to run the country before it just becomes a matter of excessive spending for the sake of hedonistic virtue

PoliticsRe: $10m Launch Of Solar Financing Facility Begins In Nigeria by Namnam: 11:16am On Nov 29, 2021
Solar is awful, doesn’t last long and constantly needs sunlight and no clouds to function properly, hydro is a much safer and long lasting source of energy

PoliticsRe: 10,000, 20,000 Plates Of Food In Eatery, Are We Really Poor In Nigeria? by Namnam: 11:13am On Nov 29, 2021
To answer your question in a genuine manner yes the economy recovered well after 2020 and were seeing a lot less inflation compared to before, in the mean time a lot of government investment has gone into road, electricity and infrastructure in general and likewise your seeing the effects of this with better access to food and other junk. Expect more of that as time passes especially since we pretty much overproduce construction materials at this point

Keep dreaming . The average Nigerian is religious so it's only God that knows where you got this figure from .
Our atheist community has only existed since 2014 and it went from 1 to 900k in less than a decade
Christianity EtcNigeria’s Growing Atheist Community by Namnam(op): 5:44pm On Nov 26, 2021
The atheists of Nigeria are 900 thousand people currently and growing especially as more Nigerians move to the cities and as public security starts cracking down more and more on jihadism and fundamentalist Islam as time passes means Nigeria is gonna become increasingly secular as time passes. Thoughts on this trend?
PoliticsRe: Udom Flag Up More Roads Construction In Akwa Ibom … Photos by Namnam: 2:33pm On Nov 26, 2021
I don’t mind if they’re destroying suburbs with those roads, suburbs waste land and resources

PoliticsLagos Mayors Should Crackdown On Sprawl by Namnam(op): 12:52am On Nov 26, 2021
Too much of Lagos is midrises and suburbs, admittedly a lot of those were quickly built due to a need for cheap housing due to immigration this sprawl needs to start facing a hard cap because the city is so large that it’s visible from space and that lack of density destroys potential buissnesses opportunities, inflates housing costs, cuts into government budgets that need to be spent on things like electricity and more railways to our ECOWAS members and wastes resources compared to high rise buildings like in Lagos communities island

PoliticsRe: Obasanjo: Boko Haram's Next Recruits Will Come From 14m Out Of School Children by Namnam: 12:48am On Nov 26, 2021
Terrorists are now turning towards child predation since they’ve been kicked out of borno, the state of Islam is decaying more and more as time passes…

These are also the same people that spent 30+ years saying the Chinese economy would collapse
PoliticsRe: Western Nigeria Development And News Thread by Namnam: 4:05am On Nov 22, 2021
Mayor of ogun HAS to stop building suburbs. They’re a waste of resources, land, tax money and housing is barely available for the average Nigerian. Sprawling out every city like what westerners do only contributes to environmental degradation and makes buissnesses harder to form in Nigeria angry

PoliticsRe: Buba Marwa: Legalization Of Cannabis Will Take Nigeria To Dark Days by Namnam: 6:05am On Nov 19, 2021
I prefer less drug gangs forming
PoliticsRe: Please Where Is Our Great Nigeria Lying Machine? by Namnam: 2:57pm On Nov 17, 2021
I think the situation is getting better, inflation has finally ended meaning food prices and the currency is no longer inflating, Boko haram and other terrorist groups at this point are dead and only exist to fulfill mindless sectarian violence, infrastructure spending increased 10 fold and the economy recovered from the oil crash
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Needs A ‘strong Man’ As President by Namnam: 2:46pm On Nov 17, 2021
NO NO NO THATS NEVER WORKED

As bad as the Nigerian government is it’s SHOCKINGLY less bad compared to other ones on this planet, they’re willing to fund healthcare education infrastructure and more and at the very least aren’t going to cover up atrocities like the Lekki toll gate thing unlike China and Russia whom wouldn’t even have reported an event like that if it happened
PoliticsRe: Am Still Shocked That We Still Have Buhari Supporters by Namnam: 11:49pm On Nov 16, 2021
Do you know what are other leaders were like? We’ve only had a functioning government for exactly 20 years, everything before that was endless wars from the west and dictatorships, the government before Bihari wasnt anticipating a population boom and just relied on oil because they thought things would turn out like Dubai, Buhari isn’t the greatest but he’s above average compared to the alternatives especially when the economy is finally seeing falling inflation rates and diversification away from oil

PoliticsYes Food And Rent Prices And Inflation Is Going Down, But That’s Bad by Namnam(op): 5:44am On Nov 16, 2021
Inflation encourages civilians to work, the problem with food prices and inflation falling is that civilians aren’t encouraged to work or spend or invest in productive labour but rather save their money work less and wait for deflation to make them artificially wealthier without actually working to make any of that wealth legitimate, deflation cannot continue for the health of the Nigerian economy even if that harms the lives of civilians
