Sometimes people just talk based on hearsay. Get one that is problem free and has not been abused ( go with a competent mechanic, there are a couple of them here on nairaland), then ensure you carry out good maintenance culture.
Pro: excellent fuel consumption, fairly good suspension and a decent interior coupled with more newer parts in comparison with cars in the 90s/00.
Mighty ac for a small car.

Con: you won't be winning any race anytime soon. Engine is 1.4-1.6l.( not that you won't get to your destination). parts may not be that available, depending on ur area ( though this has improved considerably in recent time)
That model does not come with airbags ( though the ones abroad does have airbags), blame Dana for that, they brought the watered-down version to Nigeria.
In summary, it's a nice little car with a smart attitude. If you want a little car that will take you from point a to b without any frills, this is your car.
Most importantly, go with a competent mechanic.eod

Good evening Nairalanders, I have no idea how to go about making this as clear as possible, but truth is I married a stranger.
I met this Lady in 2012,we became friendly, and talked on consistently.
At the time she was on NYSC in Ikom cross River State. By the way she is from Obosi in Anambra state.
She was visiting me in Lagos every week, of course I paid for her flight tickets back and forth for all the times she visited till we got married and beyond. I have never let her use the bus or public transport to anywhere, it's either I drive her, she drives or a taxi.
A few months to her passing out, she told me she was pregnant, so I thought I would marry her and cut the drama short, but that was my undoing.
We got married, but all through, she spent more time with her parents and siblings.
Fast forward to 2016,my wife got a job through my sister in Abuja, and everything got worse, she wouldn't get back home till very late everyday.
Her explanation was that her boss delayed her.
I got to find out she was dating her boss later, even caught her at hotels in ikeja G. R,.A and on the island with her boss at very odd hours of the night.
Don't get me wrong, I am okay, I live in a 5 bedroom duplex in ikeja, the house is very comfortable and cosy, and almost completing my personal building at awoyaya in ibeju. i am not a poor man.

Get a DNA test carried out on your kids ASAP for peace of mind. I know it sounds grotesque.


Talk to a very competent lawyer. She can't blackmail you not to seek divorce.


The court will decide custody of the children based on their age and with supervised visits from the other party. If you can prove your wife his irresponsible and cannot be trusted, the brighter your chances of having custody of the children, but remember their age is a factor. You also need to prove that you can take care of them(e.g your mum, new wife etc is on ground to help with that)


Be ready for alimony.

I had same encounter years back. This particular dude was earning exact same wage with me and I was the manager. He was even earning more than my supervisor, though he was third in line. It happened this way because his field was hard to come by and the company has past the deadline for kickoff so they just agreed to take him to avoid further delay.
How I resolved it when I got to know? I had a talk with the consultant and the MD and my salary was topped.

Stumbled on this thread and was highly bemused. My pastor has driven his Hyundai accent 2010 model for 5 years now and has done nothing but change plugs. The said car is his official ride from his company and is always on the road to pH and other far locations.
Years back, I use to think Kia were bad. The company I worked for then had fleets of them and there was always one complain or the other from the drivers. Cars were always in the garage, but in hindsight, now I know it was just poor maintenance culture from the drivers and a malicious intent of milking the organization dry with spurious claims of breakdowns

I lack words to describe this car, the most rugged Benz i have ever had, it dosen't go to the garage for years, manual tranny with taut throttle ,that makes it quicker and faster than her auto tranny counterpart and all those Japanese stuffs( i deliberately make it that way to overcome that initial lunch drag that people usually complain about. Mine is fitted with shootout on all 4 legs for more than better handling and stance.It is my racer too. It has been my best , everyday ride. I am technically glued to it just like my Benz 190, you can see it still very fresh and clean, it's the cleanest Benz 190 in town over here.

I used one of these babies a couple of years back and I can attest to its suitability for the chaotic Lagos traffic. It allows you to weave in and out of the traffic effortlessly. Parking the car is another advantage, it fits into the smallest parking space imaginable!
