Thanks.

Well, yours is fangpusun. But this is PowMr. And shit just prove to me why it's not in the league of Fangpusun.

I connected the three in series. Shit can't even take in 120v Voc. It momentarily shows 117v Voc and then the charging indicator refuses to show "solar input" sign. Knowing what that could mean, I immediately shut off the DCB to prevent damage to the CC.

I then connected two panels in series and this yèyé controller picked up working. PV input at that point was 65v. To determine it wasn't just an off thing, I repeated 3s again and same scenario was replicated. Now I have put it back in 2s and one panel is redundant. I now get 450 watts, 200 watts short of the 650 watts I record on the 50 amps PWM that it replaced. Of course the PWM was on 3p.

The system is 24v.

Apparently in order to prevent damage to itself from over-Voc, shit first senses the Voc which was the 117v momentarily recorded and then it determines it it should allow solar input. That may be a desirable feature but this performance is really short of the 150v Voc specified for it.

Another reason I may still forgive this CC is if it will not replicate this nonsense in a 48v system. Perhaps if it senses the battery voltage as 48, then it can allow that 150v Voc to go thru.

In the meantime, I am sorely vexed with this thing considering the fact that I have two of it running a 24v system and this new install was actually one of two units I purchased which was delivered few days ago.

I may now try considering trying out the 60A version of its rival MakeSkyBlue that I have to see the performance. If it meets expectation then goodbye to PowMr and I will seriously shout out this information on the seller's store review.

By the way, your fangpusun is 12v/24v spec, right?
Yes. It's 12v/24v. The reason I was skeptical about your CC is due to somewhere I read in the manual that it has different VOC at 12, 24 or 48v connection. That was the ist time I heard of that as I usually know a CC has max one voc and current. That made me to forget the CC. I believe it may be max 100v and if I happen to use the CC will treat is as such.

Hi folks.

Panel open circuit voltage 44.3v
MPPT PV max voltage 150v

Has anyone safely connected three of that Voc in series with a 150v max MPPT without dire consequences?

I know 44.3.v in series gives 132.9v which isn't up to the 150v max. But I'm still worried nonetheless.

NB: CC is a reliable one, having the type that has been in use for a long time and others too have given positive rating.
If cc is reliable then why not? My panels sometimes hit 91v on max VOC of 100v (fangpusun 100/50)

I want to use this medium to say thank to Andman and his team. I wish u more sales.

Below r the few issues I noticed when my car arrived:
1. The AC wasn't working , I just had to refill the
gas.
2. The car radio needed a code which I was able
to get with the help of some people here.
Although I later saw it in the user's manual.
3. The car came with just one key and it's not a
remote keyless entry; this I haven't fixed yet
though.
Once again thank you Andman and everyone here, cos some of the posts I read here helped convince me to do business with him. Thank you and may God bless u for the good work u r doing.
Enjoy your ride ma'am

I'm very sure he doesn't imply connecting one panel array to drive two CCs simultaneously. That's one of the basic things one learns not to do on the journey. In fact the wiring of one array to 2 CCs will be one I can't wrap my head around.

I think he meant that the the ipowerplus and PowMr both have their independent array, but the panel array for the PowMr exceeded that allowable for the IpowerPlus but within the acceptable limit for the PowMr. The resultant error was only corrected when they were forced to reconfigure the PowMr array, sacrifice it and therefore underutilize the 150v voltage limit of the PowMr to allow for the 75v ipowerplus not to be confused.

Speaking of which I actually bumped into a YT video of a hybrid inverter with two different CCs installed inside it and the two CCs receive their input from two different arrays. The output AC of the inverter is split phase into 120v (in two places) so that if you are in regions with 100v to 120vac, you just connect to one phase but if you are in Nigeria for example you connect the two 120vac phases across to get your 240vac output voltage.

I'll see if I can retrieve the link.

Edited. I see you've responded. But how will the ipowerplus be misbehaving if the in-built MPPT is inactive? That doesn't really add up. I tjought the in-built MPPT being active with an external MPPT on one battery will be the same as having two different CCs charge one battery.
I'm confused. There's no way panel array connected to different mppt cc will cause problems so far you didn't exceed the Voc and current. Unless you are saying you can't configure the absorption and float for each or one of the CC. The only problem I encounter with my fangpusun is during equalization as my inverter shuts down when battery voltage gets to 31v

My parents use 5kva ipowerplus with Felicity solar 60amppt. They have panels conected to the mppt portion of the inverter plus the Felicity CC. That's setup should be 5 years this yr without any issue. That's why I went for the 3kva version and planning to connect some panels to its mppt since I already maxed out my fangpusun CC

You're right earthrealm... Same observation with mine. After recently upgrading my system, I left my inverter fridge (rated 55W) permanently ON, through a socket-plug energy meter...

Initially consumes around 78W.... After like 12hrs, it drops to 55W... After 14hrs,it drops to 32W.... And further drops to 30W after 15hrs.

Even when it knocks off, when it comes back On, it stays at 30W. And that's where it has been since.. Just hovering around 30W. Sometimes 28W.

There were very few times though, I've noticed the fridge would be On, due to the compressor sound, but the meter is reading less than 10W...

But before the upgrade, I run it from 8am to around 6pm.... Always runs around 78W-62W.

So,yeah... Inverter fridges are best left permanently ON
What's the name of the fridge
Sorry seen you've posted it

My recent experience with Amdman.
I recently took possession of a car ordered through Amdman and want to relay my experience as a way of giving back to this forum. I hope it will assist in shedding light on how to engage with him and also in managing expectations while transacting business with him.
I placed an order with Amdman after following this forum almost daily for 6 months during which I reviewed comments and counter comments from people here and also from Amdman. I was compelled to place an order at the end of March because of the falling naira and an urgent need to replace Madam’s car, a Corolla, which one Kazeem nearly set fire to after connecting the battery wrongly leading to an explosion and acid burns on some plastic components in the engine bay. I experienced delays initially in receiving responses from him but because I knew I was working against time, I persisted in sending him messages and even called his mobile line a few times to let him know I was serious.
Eventually after a couple of near misses we settled on a vehicle which I hastily paid for because I was scared that the depreciation of the naira would make me pay more. I was surprised after some days that despite the rising dollar, he did not revise his invoice even when he was yet to purchase the car. Following the purchase and shipping, I was given a tracking number of the ship to know its location and when it would berth in Nigeria. I must say this should be considered a best practice because it meant I did not need to ask him anything regarding the ship’s location. The congestion at the ports appeared to delay the ship’s berthing and clearing and it took 6 weeks from the date designated for berthing on the shipping line’s site to the day it was removed from the port. I had been warned from reading a reviews here about the possibility of slight damage to the car during offloading and I communicated to Amdman. He assisted me get someone to oversee offloading and the same person drove it to my other home in Lagos before it was brought to me in Abuja where I live. A few things I must not fail to mention. Since I made my payment, there has been an official devaluation of the naira and also an upward review of the clearing rates. He did not ask for additional money. Another relates to the people who participated in getting the vehicle across to me. This included the gentleman who delivered the car to me in Abuja. I found that each person introduced to me by Amdman tried to act like him while engaging with me; professional and courteous.

The vehicle arrived 3 days ago and the owner is delighted with it. For me, this is the first time I have bought a car which will not cost me a lot of money to get it roadworthy. Do you know I received 3 keys with the car, a fully functional battery, branded Toyota floor mats and functional tires? I have always replaced tires, bought batteries, replaced expensive stolen or non functional parts including catalytic converters. My decision to patronize him was partly due to the negative encounters from car dealers or purchases over the years. This started from my first car, a BMW 3 series in 2002, which took 6 months and a police case before it was delivered by a runaway car dealer. Other cars delivered from Cotonou had parts of the car including the catalytic converter stolen or conditions of certain portions of the car concealed. My most recent car which happened to be my ninth, is a 4runner bought from a car mart in Abuja two years ago. It looked good at first but after replacing bearings, brake pads, tires, changing injectors and coils and later a blocked catalytic converter, I had a change of heart.
My advice for anyone who wishes to patronize Amdman is first be patient. You will need patience while communicating with him because you may not get responses immediately you send messages. This is partly because we are not in the same time zone and partly because, in my opinion, he is human. I did not expect him to sit by his phone waiting for me to send a message. He has said he prioritizes clients who have paid. This appears to be true. You also need patience while waiting up to 3 to 4 months for a vehicle to be bought, shipped and cleared.
Secondly, do not always expect the car to be exceedingly cheaper than that of the same model and year purchased in Nigeria and Cotonou. I have outlined my reasons for patronizing him above and I will pay the same price others pay here for patched up accidented vehicles and wait for a car for 3 or more months as long as it meets my standards. Especially if it is one which will be used in ferrying the more important members of my family.
Thirdly, you may still see some scratches on your car despite the care. It is not deliberate and may not even be due to negligence. The car may also come with evidence of wear and tear which is part of normal use
In closing, I want to thank all the members of this forum including critics and supporters of Amdman. Your lively discussions were instrumental in helping me form an opinion of who Amdman is and his business. They compelled him and other parties to describe him in a way that made it possible to know him. This would have not been possible if people did not raise objections to his work. I wish to call on others who recently received vehicles to share their experiences too. We should all support genuine businesses doing their best to make an honest buck in a hostile environment
You really took your time

Apparently it seem MPP took that part serious, they withdrew the 48v and sent me the 24v. When I insisted on 48v they claim that after further check the it won't be compatible with 3kva container though they had earlier indicated that they are compatible.
I was already looking to experience 48v efficiency grin
