Politics / Kalu Frowns At Razing Of Bende Police Station By Unknown Gunmen by NAPC1(m): 2:24pm On May 14, 2021
A PDP Chieftain and The National Coordinator of Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Dr Emeka C. Kalu, has frowned at the continued destruction of security facilities around the Southeastern part of Nigeria, saying that it is an unacceptable situation that should worry any well-meaning Nigerian.

His reaction followed the news of intentional, unprovoked razing of the Police Headquarters in his home, Bende, which was attacked by Unknown Gunmen today. He condemned the action in its entirety as barbaric and cowardly because this will amount to giving wings to crime to thrive.

Chief Kalu, therefore, used the opportunity to call on the Abia State Government to double her efforts at securing the state, while at the same time prevailing on the federal government to pragmatically look into all the possible remote causes of the incessant attacks with the view to addressing them once and for all.

"I have always advised and I will continue to do so. No country fights a war with her people and win, it will be very wise for the government to drop force and try to adopt dislougue and permanent solution to our problems.

"From experience of history, the force can only calm agitation for a while, but dialogue will help us bury our differences, correct our errors and move on, that is what the nation needs at this point. DIALOGUE.

"If our security architecture completely shuts down, anarchy will surely be loosed upon Nigeria and even the lowly and the highly placed will not be spared.

"If some elements will try to boggle Aso Villa, then the security of other parts of Nigeria is as good as gone". He said.

He further averred that there are other ways to register grievances without shooting ourselves in the legs, advising the police to keep working round the clock to ascertain the identity of these gunmen and bring them to justice.

Religion / Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu Felicitates With Muslims, Charges Them To Pray For Peace by NAPC1(m): 5:01am On May 14, 2021
As the prayer of Ramadan is brought to a close, the National Coordinator of People's Democratic Party Coalition, Chief Dr. Emeka C. Kalu, has sent a message of felicitation to all Muslim faithful felicitating with them on the celebration of Eid-El-Fitr.

The one-time Gubernatorial candidate in Abia State also charged them to remember the poor and the needy in the society and use the occasion to continue to pray for the success and peace of Nigeria as well as love their neighbours which is a virtue that can advance the cause of humanity.

Kalu also urged the Muslim community in Nigeria and around the globe to continue to exhibit the love, good neighbourliness, compassion and such virtues that advance the cause of humanity as commanded by Prophet Muhammad, which also exalts Islam as a religion of peace.

"I congratulate all the Muslims around the world as they pray for the peace of the world, Nigeria on this auspicious occasion of Eid-Fitr and encourage them to continue to exhibit love and compassion for the advancement of humanity through tolerance and peace.

May Allah keep us all as we continue to work hard for the advancement of a better world for all mankind.

"Once again, congratulations and Happy Eid-Fitr"

Politics / Eid- El -Fitr: Peaceful Coexistence Panacea To National Growth, Says Emeka Kalu by NAPC1(m): 5:09pm On May 12, 2021
A chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dr. Emeka C. Kalu, has reminded Nigerians especially Muslims to embrace peace in the spirit of Sallah and Ramadan.

Kalu, who is also the National Coordinator of Peoples Democratic Party Coalition (PDPCoalition), stated this in a message to Muslims signed by his Special Assistant, Sunny Idika.

He urged Muslim faithfuls to sustain the virtues learnt during Ramadan in their everyday life, saying all Nigerians should remain steadfast and prayerful in the face of daunting socio-economic challenges.

He said: “On this blessed occasion, I rejoice with the Nigerian Muslims and wish them a hitch-free Sallah celebration.

“I equally urge them to carry the lessons of the Holy month of Ramadan beyond the month by remaining a people who forgive and eschew rancour and bitterness, while also remaining just and sincere in their dealings with fellow Nigerians”.

Kalu called on Nigeria’s Muslims to use the occasion of this year’s Eid- El -Fitr to pray for divine intervention in the face of various forms of difficulties confronting the nation.

“As Nigerians, we must continue to strengthen the spirit of oneness, regardless of religious, ethnic, regional, and political diversities, for that is the only way to surmount our intimidatingly impressive challenges and build a greater Nigeria.

In particular, he renewed his call for “religious tolerance among Nigerians because for the nation to develop and make meaningful progress, both Muslims and Christians must appreciate each other as well as live together as brothers and sisters.”

Kalu, who described Nigeria as a blessed nation, noted that peace was a panacea for national growth and development; He therefore, called on Muslims and Nigerians in general to “pray fervently for the Federal Government, the States and Local Governments to overcome the difficult times and put smiles back on the faces of Nigerians.” The statement said.

Politics / Like NPA, Like NDDC, The Circle Of High-level Corruption Continues, Says Kalu by NAPC1(m): 4:27pm On May 12, 2021
Many Nigerians has been shocked and very perplexed by the level of corruption being exhibited by APC/Mohammadu Buhari led government which a prove that Nigerians have been blackmailed into believing that he was going to be the messiah that will fight corruption. But the reverse is the case.

“The foul stench of corruption oozing out of the NPA, NDDC and other agencies of government in the last six years has shown that our MDAs have become the cash cows and Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of greedy leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and their cronies in government in their unbridled looting of our patrimony under President Muhammadu Buhari’s watch”

This is a quote of the PDP spokesperson that I know captures it all. How can we continued to live under such deceit as a people and expect Nigeria to progress, yet these looters like those before them will still be shielded from the arms of the law by their cronies in government while our economy and the masses continues to languish in abject poverty brought upon it by bad leadership taken too far by Buhari’s style.

Under a government fighting corruption, the Auditor General unearthed the looting of unremitted deduction to Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) amounting to N3,667,750,470. $148,845,745.04, Euro 4,891,449.50 and £252,682.14 under the suspended NPA Managing Director Hadiza Bala Usman, and Amaechi’s ministerial supervision.

It is very painful that the NDDC that was supposed to cater for the many aspirations of the masses of Niger Delta region has become a source of woe and regret because it has been engulfed in scandals, embezzlement and high-level corruption, yet till date, no outcome has been explained to the public while the beneficiaries keep milking these agencies to the peril of the nation, now NPA has become another victim of executive corruption.

With what is going on in the Nigeria Ports Authority, it is clear that APC do not care what becomes of the people, but how much they can steal under our noses and how much they are ready to cover up. This is unacceptable.

If Buhari is truly not in support of these evil against the nation, I demand he do the needful by truly fighting corruption by bringing these people to book by handing them over to EFCC for prosecution and deserving punishment.

We cannot continue to pretend all is well while a few greedy individuals drive our nation to collapse by stealing away her future under APC cover.
Enough is enough.

Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu
National Coordinator, PDP COALITION.

Politics / Re: 2023: NCC-LIT Tells Nigerians To Prepare For The Election Of Their Lifetime by NAPC1(m): 2:15pm On May 10, 2021
You allege of APC's sneak election strategy for 2023. Expatiate.

The APC led Federal Government, her sly closet schemers and frontline contenders are acutely aware that their party has a very bleak future going into 2023. Sincere party stalwarts like APC Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state, Kano state former Commissioner for Works the exceptionally brilliant Engr. Muazu Magaji and former Spokesman to Kano state Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, both sacked by the irrascible Kano state Governor in 2020 and 2021 respectively for daring to bare and blare this truth against Buhari's higgledy-piggledy administration, have been courageous to say this in very loud public platforms.

With this fact in plain view, APC will use five sneak strategies in collaboration with INEC to approach the 2023 General Elections in attempts to have its way at the polls. I ask Nigerians to follow me. These strategies are as follow:

i. Like a boat that has lost its engines the APC Administration will continue to let the country drift casually towards 2023, with little motions of governance and guidance as we are seeing. At first they will continue to ignore most of the republic's disintegration agitations by the South-West and South-East. Like the driver of a jalopy ignores the jeers and boos of the passengers of his broken-down bus. Then in sleep-walking fashion the government will make a few motions to pacify the tensions in the country.

Among these will be to pretend to call and rein in Miyetti Allah and through them establish a truce with their forest legions to reduce the kidnappings, violations and condemnations in the North, South-West, herdsmen and bandits onslaughts in different parts of the country. Of course this will be at a high cost of quietly disbursed "palliatives" to the bandits and herdsmen under undisclosed subheads of national security expenditures.

ii. To further buy time, at a time President Buhari's APC government, steered by it's behind-the-curtain minders, will pretend to listen to the people and set up a seemingly serious but actually perfunctory national restructuring conference. This will throw especially the southern geopolitical zones of Nigeria into ecstatic excitement and false hope.

iii. The restructuring conference, which will automatically take away most of the agitating tensions in the South-West and South-East zones will be given unnecessarily long time-table with ambiguous terms of reference. It will be encouraged to waste time in the name of carrying everyone along by "consulting all the component ethnic groups and stakeholders." It will raise recommendations which would be frozen in the Presidency's file cabinets. Its recommendations will be attended to with piecemeal, immaterial outcomes while time passed and 2023 General Elections rapidly approach.

iv. While 200million Nigerians would be embroiled in the din and debates of false restructuring with paid apostles of the Administration nobly talking the public into peace and patience with the Administration, the APC government would unzip exciting credibility factors into the 2023 general elections time-table foisted on Nigerians. This might include symbolic but light-weight amendments to the Electoral Act, promising to finish the restructuring process they started after the 2023 General Elections.

The Buhari-APC social-political palliatives to the electorates of the country will also likely include the creation of an equalizing 6th State in the South-East to especially to pacify, divide and rule this geopolitical zone against its more radical revolutionary frontiers like IPOB.

iv. During the same period the Buhari Administration will buy extra time and goodwill with fancy psychological projects which will serve it like masses tranquilizers. These will include devolving oil blocs ownership to the South's oil producing communities, revisiting the Ogoni Clean-up project with dizzying billions of naira committed to contractors mostly in newspapers and on NTA network news. Emphasis will be made about completing the railway lines that run through Southern Nigeria, which will naturally excite the South.

v. Of all above strategies, this fifth one is their natural, constitutional *masterstroke*! The 17 Governors of the South-West, South-East and South-South, all serving National Assembly members who are of course each murderously determined to return to the Abuja Federal Honeycomb as senators and reps, the Governors' 17 State Houses of Assembly members, their governor installed local government chairmen and councillors will go to work in the usual scramble and frenzy to return their Abuja principals, second-term governors' anointed successors and their State Houses of Assembly principals to office, all of them complemented by the federal Ministers from the 17 states and their networks of political aides.

Old marriages will be renewed and new ones forged with the reigning ballot snatching warlords of their various states and geopolitical zones. Sacks of gold will replace philosophy of good. Good governance principles which were preached during the last four years of the electorates' scourge by their Egyptian slavemasters from Abuja and their various state capitals will fly through the window. As much as possible, so-called good governance civil society organizations, labour and trade unions and their leaders will be compromised along.

The MC Oluomos and perhaps by then politically baptized and converted Sunday Igbohos of the South-West, Tompolos and Atake Toms of the South-South, the Mbas and Ezikes of the South-East will be brought by politicians hauling sacks of money into romantic lockdowns of Covid-2023 electoral cash virus. There will be mass weddings of promises by the politicians to the regions' ballot snatching warlords. The mantra will be to give the locust politicians of their states and regions one more time to "repent and this time really improve on governance for their people." Each side would know from the first breath that these are promises not meant to be kept. But it would not matter after politicians and ballot thugs exchange bags of gold and guns for another four years of cold and burns to the electorate.

In all of these what will be NCC-LIT's banner word for Nigerians on the road to 2023?

Our top word to Nigerians is that there will be elections in 2023. Seal that and take it to the bank. Knowing this and APC's sly strategies to burgle the 2023 polls victory and reimpose its hell of misrule on Nigerians, what should the long suffering people of Nigeria do? This question is for both the masses and the suffering middle class comprising over 199m citizens who have not been part of the APC and PDP nation ruining misrule. That is the urgent question for all citizens who do not wish Nigeria to continue in her leadership disaster mode of many decades.

If we Nigerians truly desire transcendental trans-generational transformation of our country, if we have agonized and lamented bad leadership for so long, 2023 is our chance to translate wishes to action and realization of our strongest values.

Together let us build this 300million capacity NCC-LIT alternative political ship to APC and PDP. Always bearing in mind that the APC-PDP boat takes too few, that is, the politician, his wife, children, one or two concubines and their security dogs.

Together let us storm the country with NCC-LIT's brand new, novel political ideology called Resident Democracy, a unique democracy model which no political party in entire Africa and the world, past or present, had ever conceived.

Together let us stun Nigeria and entire Africa with sweeping victory in 2023. Together let us have the world in standing ovation for Nigeria's incredible gigantic development leaps and superlative clean-up of our country shortly after victory in 2023.

At the NCC-LIT frontlines we are determined to sacrifice all, lead from the front and lead by the most transparent open governance public expenditure model in the world.

Step up your game by stepping into the march for the freedom frontlines. Together, in the end we shall come rejoicing bringing in the sheaves of victory, glory and honour to God Almighty in a country where the boundaries of religion, tribe, ethnicity, gender, social chauvinism and political narcism shall vanish terminally for a new epoch of economic buoyance and prosperity derived not from nepotism, cronyism and corruption but industry, commerce and creative African silicone economy.

Finally, I urge Nigerians to pray assiduously for our country's future and the blessing of modern God-fearing leadership. To remember the words of Patrick Henry that "It is when people forget God that tyrants forge their chains." And that never again shall Nigerians be chained and forced through the valley of leadership catastrophe, failure, misery and agony that APC and PDP, actually one and the same legion of darkness, have forced our citizens through in the last 21 years. One therefore cannot over-emphasize the need for all Nigerians of goodwill, irrespective of religion and tribe, to pray earnestly for our country and the new pan-Nigeria liberation struggle whose climax shall culminate in the people's sweeping victory in 2023.

I urge every well-meaning Nigerian to consider this a sacred and urgent duty especially now you know that there shall be elections in 2023.

May the chains tyrants of our land in various station's of life have forged over the years and the new ones they are forging for 2023 to keep Nigerians, our children and their posterity in the dungeons of perpetual poverty, ignorance, bloid-shedding savagery, stagnation and beggarly unwanted third-class citizens in cold, hostile and friendless foreign lands be broken through your resolve, sacrifices, prayers, freedom march and matching actions hereafter.

Finally, what is NCC-LIT's position on Restructuring and Self-determination both of which agitations are increasing furiously across Nigeria?

Both agitations are arising from outrage against gross governance misrule and its concomitant calamities. Unfortunately, whatever measure of misrule and misery we are witnessing today under the present leadership at federal and state levels, the worst is yet to come in our country politically, economically, socially, and in terms of inter-ethnic hate baths, bloodbaths and dire general insecurity. Against our wish, this is an iron-cast and irreducible fact, unless there is a radical change of attitudes and governance dynamics especially in the nation's Presidency and the Governors of the Northern states.

As NCC-LIT our position since 2018 is clear, concise and consistent. With the Buhari-APC junta and its kill and conquer mentality, Nigeria has come to the highest summit ever of bad governance and a horrible crossroad of history. From here, there are only two roads, unfortunately without the benefit of a third.

First is the present option of uncoordinated, non-consensus restructuring and self-determination agitations. With the Buhari type of stone-deaf pilots and closet vampires, this is like beggars wishing for royal horses to drop from the sky at their feet. There will be only one consequence, which is what we are seeing now: endless bloodshed from selective ethnic decimations and reprisal backlashes from ethnic victims.

So, we can continue to engage in this option and have a blood-spattered road to 2023, the Rwanda path of pathological bloodshed and collateral massacres of countless innocent Nigerians in different parts of our country.

The second option is the bloodless or least blood-stained road to 2023 and Nigeria's Total freedom. This is to bring and unify the good citizens in every part of this country together to erase APC and PDP, the co-authors of the monstrous state Nigeria is in today, completely from every governance office throughout Nigeria, save their outstanding exceptions from state to state. This can and will happen through a massive, decisive Electoral Revolution and Victory in 2023 under the banner of Resident Democracy, an epic brand new political ideology with inviolate service compact with the people. Then immediately after victory in 2023 put a listening, reason-seasoned and devil-fearless Government in place which will comprehensively, without regards to tribe or religion, root out within 12 months every menace of insecurity from every inch of Nigeria's soil and roll out within 24months a decisive, transparent and practical Restructuring Action, not Plan. Finally, it has to be a Government determined to execute a Restructuring Model that will not, out of prejudice or malice, put any section of Nigeria at a disadvantage side by side others.

Like I said earlier, we don't have the benefit of a third option.

Politics / 2023: NCC-LIT Tells Nigerians To Prepare For The Election Of Their Lifetime by NAPC1(m): 2:15pm On May 10, 2021
Says: Don't lose focus because of national insecurity crises, self-determination and restructuring agitations. He says the uproars these outcries collectively produce serve APC's multi-disciplinary misrule and diversionary smokescreen to jump and dump on Nigerians in 2023 worse successors to the Buhari administration.

Evang. Comrade Tony Akeni, a veteran journalist of more than 35 years standing and author of the anthology Psalms of Democracy, is the Global Coordinator of Nigeria Cannot Continue Like This (NCC-LIT, pronounced NCC-LIGHT).

NCC-LIT is a rapidly growing national and global political movement on an avowed mission, according to the group's coordinator, to network Nigerians all over the globe to wrestle power from both the ruling APC and PDP and install a totally new leadership paradigm across the country from 2023 through a novel democracy model which the movement calls Resident Democracy.

Recently, the Global Coordinator Tony Akeni and state chapter representives of the movement traveled through the frontline South-East states of Nigeria for on-the-spot assessment and interaction with grassroots groups of the areas which had come under much carnage and violent activities between Federal Government military troops and the Eastern Security Network of IPOB.

En route to the South-West states for similar ground assessment the NCC-LIT Global Coordinator stopped by Asaba, the Delta state capital, where he had an incisive media chat with some senior reporters. The chat centred around the widely perceived uncertainty of the 2023 general elections in the light of increasing turmoils of insecurity, restructuring and self-determination agitations across Nigeria.

With what seem like firm and unshakable conviction Comrade Tony asserted that Nigerians should not be fooled by what he described as "government fostered and facilitated crises" in various parts of Nigeria and the consequent uproars of restructuring and self-determination barrages that have swelled across the country as a response to the federal government's lack of sensitivity to Nigerians' well-being other than the President's ethnic group.

The political activist advised that rather than be caught napping and unprepared like 1999 when many good and overcautious Nigerians doubted that the military would actually hand over power for civil rule and left the political space to the worst of unconscionable characters, Nigerians should be diligently conscious that the APC led federal government plans to conduct sham elections across the country in 2023. The central and sacred purpose of the 2023 election blueprint, Evang Tony says, will be to install and impose on Nigerians a worse plague of loyal successors than its present crop of leaders who would be bound by oaths to cover up the APC administration's many governance atrocities and to frustrate and abort Nigerians' yearnings for purposeful constitutional amendments as a foundation for restructuring and true federalism. NCC-LIT says that as a result Nigerians should prepare with every ounce of vigilance and diligence to fully partake in the 2023 watershed elections with a view to shocking the status quo miasma of APC and PDP out of power from every inch of political soil across Nigeria.

Below are the movement's perspectives and insights of the road to 2023 as expressed through its global coordinator.

There will be Elections in 2023, you say. Explain

That is a fact. But first I thank you, gentlemen, for giving me the opportunity to present to Nigerians ahead of time NCC-LIT's studied insight on national events to come which will unfold between now and 2023. The objective is to enable Nigerians understand and take an informed stand on these events as they begin to manifest.

But before I go into the kernel of this assertion let us examine together why many Nigerians think that there might not or would not be elections in 2023. The issues giving rise to that foreboding are mainly five.

i. Restructuring agitations in association with demands for annuling and replacing the 1999 constitution with a true "We the People Constitution."

ii. Break-up agitations by self-determination groups.

iii. Nationwide insecurity crises usually forerunning failed state phenomena.

iv. Military takeover theory, and;

v. Local prophets' and international diplomats' disintegration utterances.

Insight ahead of national events to come

Without equivocation I wish to firmly declare that none of the above stated agitations and sources of anxiety will prevent the General Elections of 2023 from holding. Let me share with you a few of many facts of hindsight which inform NCC-LIT's settled understanding of this position.

The infamous MKO Abiola June 12 presidential election annulment took place 24 years ago in 1993. Nigerians who were old enough and politically informed during that watershed era will recall the vortex of social-political turmoil, outrage and inter-ethnic animosities between the North and South of Nigeria, which engulfed the entire country at that time.

At the height of it MKO Abiola, the clear winner of the June 12 presidential election, was murdered in prison under Abachas' custody. This happened only days after the august Catholic pontiff Pope John Paul II flew to Nigeria from Rome and the Secretary-General of the United Nations at the time Kofi Annan flew in from New York, among countless Western ambassadors and world dignitaries, to plead with the Abacha regime to grant Abiola bail. Each intervention, high and low, was to no avail. Shortly after, Abiola's wife Kudirat was ruthlessly assassinated on the street of Lagos.

Rampant high profile assassinations and assassination attempts targetted pro-June 12 NADECO political opponents, mainly of Southern Nigeria origin, who formed a democratic opposition brick wall against the Abacha military dictatorship, predominantly of Northern origin like today's Buhari Administration.

That bloody era consumed famous Southern political mogul Chief Alfred Rewani among others, sent Wole Soyinka and Chief Anthony Enahoro fleeing into self-exile and landed former President Olusegun Obasanjo in jail with a death sentence necklace on his neck for a phantom coup plot cooked up by Abacha's spin doctors and tyranny strategists.

During that same stretch of catastrophic dictatorship which consumed some of the best, iconic and mighty gems of Southerners by the North controlled federal centre under Gen. Sani Abacha's blood-soaked rein, internationally famous Ogoni environmental rights activist, playright and TV dramatist Ken Saro Wiwa and his eight Ogoniland compatriots, who included two state commissioners, were on November 10, 1995 hanged to death in Port Harcourt prison by Abacha, right in the heart of the South. For good measure their bodies were doused in corrosive acid for double mortality assurance. Again their trial and execution was based on trumped-up charges of murder of local community chiefs, just to get rid of the formidable but intolerable Southern Nigeria intellectuals who were in the way of SPDC Shell and Abacha's free oil flow from the Niger Delta.

I remember an interview meeting I had as a human rights journalist sitting face to face, some years after Saro Wiwa's hanging, with Ledum Mitee, then MOSOP president and the only man that Abacha's kangaroo "judicial murder" panel set free from the hangman's noose. It was across a small desk in MOSOP's office in Port Harcourt, about the year 2008.

I remember vividly the hot tears Mitee fought to hold back as he made to me his last unforgettable and everfresh concluding statement on the Ogoni 9 saga. "Tony," he said, "when you talk about the Nigerian state's falsehood, travesty of justice and tragedy in light of the Ogoni saga, you are seeing before you the only surviving soul and bridge between the past and the present as the only man out of ten who came from the edge of the grave. I bear the burdens of that nightmare, custody of its darkest truths and deepest scars of an entire era's hideous testimonies. No-one alive can tell the Ogoni story better than me."

I also remember similar unshed tears in the falsely smiling face of the lead actor of Ken Saro Wiwa's TV play series, "Mr. Bassey" of Bassey and Company. I ran into the young delightful actor in the reception of The Guardian newspaper in Rutham House, Isolo Express, Lagos, when I went visiting the newspaper house to file a freelance report. It is the same unmistakable farcade of unshed tears of agony which most knowledgeable Southern Nigerians wear across the country in their daily lives at the receiving end of the Apartheid APC administration.

With a seemingly inexhaustible syllabus of social-economic atrocities and human capital decimation against Southern Nigeria from 1983 when the Muhammadu Buhari junta overthrew the Shagari administration to 1998 when death relieved Nigeria of the Musolonic scourge of Abacha, virtually every inch of Southern Nigeria soil boiled over with incendiary hate, irreconcilable animus and venom against the Hausa-Fulani North.

Climaxing with the hell-size depravity of the June 12 annulment and political injustices of that era, Nigeria appeared headed, between 1993 and 1995, for a shattering, cataclysmal breakup. On hindsight you will find striking similarities between that epoch and the outrage which prevails in Nigeria today from the pandemic atrocities and notoriety of Islamic terrorists, killer Fulani herdsmen, rape and ransom bandits and the scourge of IDP refugee camps flowing from these felonies of anti-state brigandage.

Yet I can tell you from the prism of the same hindsight that nothing in today's Boko Haram terrorism, herdsmen sacrilege and bandits scourge committed on the soil of our country can be said to match or come near the nation disintegrating lacerations and perils of Abiola's June 12 crises. In an interview years after he left office as Nigeria's Head of State and central entrepreneur of the June 12 crises, Ibrahim Babaginda confessed that even as a military Head of State with unlimited powers, he had never been so frightened in his entire life as the day he saw the sight of long lines of trucks massively evacuating Ibos and sundry Southerners from different parts of the North, heading home to the South because of the fear that another civil war was about to break out in Nigeria.

The Director of Defence Information of Babangida's regime also expressed identical foreboding in another interview years later. For those who were not born then or old enough to appreciate the size of the June 12 cauldron, this should give you an idea of the knife-edge annihilation spectacle Nigeria was tested on.

What is the essence of this background relative to the uncertainties associated with the 2023 elections?

Yes, the point in all of this is that nothing is happening in today's more democratically mature Nigeria that did not happen in worse dimensions in Nigeria's past less democratically mature dispensations. Abiola's June 12 election injustice writ-large, numerous incendiary massacres of religious riots of the 1980s and '90s in the North which consumed many innocent souls, and Nigeria's three years of bloody civil war are landmark proofs. None of those _Rubicon_ or red line catastrophes disintegrated Nigeria. If they didn't, nothing else will in the remaining 700 days before the swearing in of the next Administration in 2023.

The politicians who benefit from sharing and feeding fat on the corpse of Nigeria, and they are from all sections of the country including the 17 states of Southern Nigeria; they are united wolves with united appetites and strategies for ensuring that no matter the hell they make the ordinary people of Nigeria pass through, Nigeria's corpse is always preserved "alive" to another election in other to make way for the turn of the next wolves and vampires to "chop." It is that strategy I passionately wish to draw Nigerians' attention and actions to.

Nigerians must not allow themselves to be deceived, swayed and lullabied to sleep or comatose state of unpreparedness by APC's and PDP's diversionary governance calamities. Nigerians should not allow themselves to be stampeded and disoriented into ultimately believing that there will be no elections in 2023 and therefore become lax and laid-back. Nigerians should not allow a repeat of the 1999 scenario when most good citizens thought that the military regime of General Abubakar Abdusalami would not relinquish power to civilians and in their lukewarmess allowed wolves of like-minds to hyjack the political space to the protracted doom of Nigerians and selfish boom of bad politicians since then to the present.

There will certainly be elections in 2023. In furtherance of this fact, NCC-LIT wishes to encourage Nigerians of goodwill and progress in all parts of our country - North, East, West and South - to come together urgently, be focused and hyper-prepared for full participation and close-marking polls accountability in 2023. This is the kernel of the NCC-LIT clarion for the imminent struggle of our lifetime; the struggle to truly and finally set Nigeria free through the 2023 polls.
Politics / Open Letter To President Buhari On Insecurity By Chief Dr. Emeka Charles Kalu by NAPC1(m): 8:53am On May 08, 2021
CHIEF DR. EMEKA CHARLES KALU (ECK)

7th May, 2021

MOHAMMEDU BUHARI, GCFR
President
Federal Republic of Nigeria
Aso Villa
Abuja.

OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT BUHARI ON INSECURITY: LEST WE ALL DIE.

My greeting to you your Excellency, I hope my letter meets you well and that the contents are taken seriously because the situation in Nigeria has made it expedient that we must speak up now more than ever before due to the crossroad we see ourselves as a nation. It is far from what we bargained for when Nigerians decided to give you a chance to rescue her from the hands of men we termed as "incompetent".

Foremost, it is paramount that I do not bore you with unnecessary protocols as the urgency of this message requires I go straight to the point since every second I waste in pleasantry is a second one other Nigerian is killed, and every one Nigerian killed, brings us closer to the reality of possible end of Nigeria existence as a nation, this is so worrisome and I seek to bring your attention to them.

Your Excellency, we are made to believe that you are doing great in the fight against insurgency, kidnapping and banditry, this is good to know, but I am lost as to why the more effort you put into fighting this monster, the more we wake up daily with broken hearts and bad news, when we are given assurance of defeat of our collective tormentors, at that point is when we count bodies of our patriots in numbers, the decapitation of our Gallant men and women in the militry. One then wonders if the men close to you are telling you the truth or they are just telling you only what they feel you should know?

It is painful that since you took over helms of affairs of this nation, everything has taken a downturn of backwardness in all aspects of our national lives from politics to economy, to security, to education, industry, etc, everything seems to have ground to a halt under you, yet there don't seem to be any hope or solution in sight.

Our soldiers are overstretched fighting on all fronts, yet the crises seems to be going farther than their hands can grab, agitation has evolved from peaceful to violent resistance in the East, the Governors that believe in negotiating with bandits in the North has introduced them to new line of lucrative business. But your Excellency, in all these bedeviling our dear nation, "Where are you", where are you in all these the chaos we face while you are calm and collected.

"When are the Boys going to understand that shutting down discenting voices will not make our problems go away.

MY HUMBLE ADVICE

In as much as you have been overwhelmed with the circumstances confroning our nation, I am of a strong conviction that more options are still available to you,

I. One of the issues that has complicated our security situation is the Northerninzation and Fulanization of every aspect of our National heritage, making other tribes and regions to be sidelined and wanting their own nation to have a fair treatment. It is not yet too late to reassure Nigerians that we own this nation together, bring back the principles of Federal Character.

Ii. Stop making yourself unavailable to your citizens at this point of crises they need you most, when our rivers are crying blood and our soil socked with blood, this is time to show us fatherly love to give us confidence in our nation.

III. It is clear that concentrating Nigeria's security architecture in the North because you do not trust other region is proving catastrophic, I believe it is time to have a rethink about it. Open up to hiring the best to do the right things for you because only when you remember you are the President of all Nigerians that you will begin to see answers to our numerous questions.

IV. Like every other well meaning Nigeria has always said, this is the time to discuss Nigeria and exploit options to make her work.
Every tribe in Nigeria has lost confidence in the system because it tilts towards favouring a particular tribe at the expense of the rest. This is time to address it to avoid the ticking bomb exploding on our faces. Nigeria is bleeding, only your decision now can save her. I know you will not allow her to bleed out.

Mr President, it has become almost impossible for Nigerians to get to you because every discenting opinion is attacked and workable opinions shut down, I therefore believe that the best and only medium available to us as Nigerians is to approach you through open letters, hence my submissions.

Today I have done my part. It is in your hands to save Nigeria or finally lead her to the rocks as we are presently headed.

God Bless Federal Republic of Nigeria
Long Live President Buhari
Love and Unity, Peace and Progress.

Politics / Chinedum Orji, A Sign Of Better Future For Abia State by NAPC1(m): 3:44pm On May 07, 2021
For many reasons anchored on leadership and love for his people, Engr Chinedum Orji, the speaker of the 7th Assembly of Abia State, has continued to prove to be a charismatic leader of today and tomorrow, carved for the progress of the future and succor to humanity.

Through his tenacity, synergy and purposeful leadership, Abia state has continued to enjoy progress even when many had written her off because the mutual relationship between him and the Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu PhD, have ensured that Abia State remains in the rise in all aspects of development.

Little wonder, Abians in Diaspora recently celebrated his achievement, while the Federal Government on their part praised his positive initiatives in leadership that has made it possible for Abia to become the first state to establish a Diaspora Commision for her citizens, that indeed is commendable.

But that is not all of it, encomium keep pouring in, feliications ceaseless, this time around, Chinedum Orji has once again bagged the honour of "Distinguished Friend of the Media” by national body of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ in commemoration of his unending efforts to ensuring a media friendly environment as has been exemplified in Abia State, only a people oriented leader can work hard with the Governor to guarantee true freedom of speech as Abians have relished since 2015.

Chinedum Orji has been described as "Ikuku Oma Abia" and Abians have insisted that his breeze has truly blown across as he had always, beyond his government works, shown the humanitarian side of him by positively affecting the people, empowering the youths and leading in passing laws that have kept Abia on the path of steady progress.

Indeed, Engr Chinedum Orji is a man, a leader, and a progressive, the future of Abia State should be proud of.

Politics / Save Nigeria From Burning, Seek Advice To Tackle Insecurity, Kalu Tells Buhari by NAPC1(m): 4:28am On Apr 30, 2021
As Nigeria continues to simmer in the boiling water of crisis that has been allowed to fester by the clueless disposition, propaganda and unseriouness of President Muhammadu Buhari-Led Government. The National Coordinator of PDP Coalition, Chief Dr Emeka C. Kalu, has called on Buhari to quite playing King-Kong and seek professional advice and support from experts before it is too late.

Chief Kalu who is on state visit to Guiné-Bissau, made the statement after an all-important meeting with president of the West African Country, General Umaru Sissoko Embalo.

According to him: "Nigeria is on the brink of collapse if nothing is done fast about it. This is not time to play ethnic jingoism or hide in pretence as if all is well. Presently Nigeria has become a killing field from North to South, East to West, yet we tend to pretent as if nothing is wrong.

"Buhari and his handlers should quickly seek professional advice and support without delay to avert the gathering rain that will spare no one.

"There has been endless cries of marginalization, and the 1999 constitution has been faulted by many comprising units of the nation, it is high time we take a look at these contending issues to save Nigeria from collapsing.

"Another point is that Buhari should own up and become Nigerian President and not a tribal president of the Fulani people. He should take a bold and unbiased position to caution Miyetti Allah to desist from making utterances that is capable of further jeopardizing our fragile peace and also find a way to broker dialogue with all discenting voices as it is the only way out of our current predicament", he said.

Kalu maintained that no human beings existing in the 21st Century should expect that people will continue to live under the illusion of the 70s when everything goes, insisting that Nigeria has evolved.

"I demand that Buhari should address the nation because the spilling of blood on her soil is crying for vengeance. Unless we no longer has a president".

Politics / People's Democratic Party Coalition (PDPCO) by NAPC1(m): 12:32pm On Apr 26, 2021
People's Democratic Party Coalition, is a child of necessity borne out of the importance of having a Youth focused mobilization arm of the largest party in Africa, the PDP with attention on the need to reorient the younger generation to stand up and contribute their quota in the process of shaping the future of Nigeria where they are the leaders of its tomorrow.

IDEAS BEHIND THE GROUP
PDPCO as a political interest group shares in the idea that retiring older generations of politicians is not the solution to myriad of problems facing our nation, rather we ascribe to importance of raising youthful politicians that will work side by side with the older generation to build a smooth and transitional power process that will serve as bridge between the older, passing generation and the newer and emerging generations without creating a gap in competence and quality. This is a duty we hold tenaciously because we believe that a sudden retiring of the older generation to hand power to a naive generation will create more problems than solving it. We therefore seek to create synergy between the present and the future within the party to translate to greater future of Nigeria.

To this end, PDPCO has done a lot in raising and engaging youths in active politics under the capable hands of the party leadership, and our contributions have been well recognized and applauded for displaying ingenuity in mobilization and activating the grassroots participation in political activites with the party in particular and the nation at large.

OUR VISION
Our primary vision is to build a politically conscious and ready youths that must blend into the evolutionary process of nation building from the grassroots through the States and Federal level, thereby strengthening the internal democracy existing within People's Democratic Party as a party and Nigeria as a nation for progress, justice, unity and national cohesion.

OUR MISSION
Realizing the importance of nation building and deepening institutionalization of internal democracy, our mission among others, include to train a politically conscious younger generation that will take the message of democracy to the grassroots.

OUR GOAL
It is without argument that the years of PDP in power was better than what we experience in Nigeria today. If has therefore become a call to duty for the vibrant People's Democratic Party Coalition members to work tenaciously in all ramification in commitment to ensuring that power returns to the party with experienced men that can lead the nation out of the woods towards light of progress and even development that will take away the present slide into abyss of ethnic and religious tension back to light of unity and love for our nation at all times.

Politics / Anambra Election, PDP And The Need For Retrospect - Dr. Kalu by NAPC1(m): 8:12am On Apr 19, 2021
A PDP Chieftain and National Coordinator of People's Democratic Party Coalition, Chief Dr. Emeka C. Kalu, has made extensive analysis of the political atmosphere prevalent in Anambra State at the moment, giving insight into the need to adopt a deep sensitive approach to chatting a postive future for the Anambra people.

In his press statement to the media, made few days after returning from burial of his mother in-law, he postulated that the time has come for PDP to do away with money bag politics and scout for the best man that will change the futunes of the state.

"Generally, for our great party to still be assured of 2023 victory at the center, we must look inward to choose a candidate that is salable and has a wide acceptance by the people, thus, the person to fly the party's flag must be a grassroots politician, we cannot focus on the people that are throwing money here and there to confuse the people.

"Money bag can no longer win elections, we as a party must build a strong base that will pay off in 2023, we have so many Aspirants, the party needs to look at them holistically and also get opinions from street surveys conducted Independently from our great party.

"There have been a lot going on in the Anambra political space, let us not make a mistake that hurt this party and also truncate our hope to regain center in 2023.

"Therefore, I personally believe that we need to look at the aspirants one by one, I also insist that the youths, the Artisans etc, must do the same to support the candidate that will work for the state, the one that already has a proven blueprint, not a 4 years Political contractor.

"We must bear it in mind that most of these politicians are out to use and dump the people till the next election. We cannot continue to elect the political bigots that wants to continue to enrich themselves at the expense of the suffering messes, this trend must stop.

"I am urging the party to do a comprehensive check on all these aspirants, as a good markets sales it’s self. We must not pick candidates because the individual is throwing money around. But our standpoint, our criteria must be focused on fielding a grassrooter who can understand the role of government in the lives of the people he must lead" he concluded.

Politics / Religious Extremism: CSO Issues Pantami 72 Hours Ultimatum To Resign by NAPC1(m): 2:34pm On Apr 17, 2021
One Love Foundation, a civil society organization (CSO), has called for the resignation of the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Mr. Isa Pantami, following allegations of religious extremism and inciting violence against non Muslims.

The CSO in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja by its Global President, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor, vowed to commence nationwide protest against him if he fails to resign within 72 hours.

In a series of reports, complete with audiographic, Online platforms has unearthed sermons by Pantami that amounted to unvarnished homiletic endorsements of terrorism and intolerance of non-Muslims.

The group said it would henceforth take legal action against the likes of Pantami to ensure that public servants with questionable character like Pantami vacate their seats pending the outcome of their investigation.

The statement said, “As stakeholders in the Nigeria project, we shall henceforth go all out including seeking legal means to ensure that public servants facing questionable characters vacate their seats pending the outcome.

“We hereby issue a 72-hour ultimatum to Mr. Isa Pantami to resign from office barring which we shall massively mobilise our civil society partners to picket wherever Pantami is.

“It is worrisome and unacceptable to have a sitting Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who is a cabinet member of the Federal Executive Council engage in religious extremism and inciting violence against non Muslims.

“There is no way he (Pantami) can be patriotic to a circular nation like Nigeria when we heard him in a sermon inciting violence against non Muslims.

"As well summarised by his friend, Kperogi; Pantami, had in response to a question about Osama bin Laden’s "killing of innocent unbelievers,” Pantami said although he conceded that Bin Laden was liable to err because he was human, “I still consider him as a better Muslim than myself” and pointed out that “We are all happy whenever unbelievers are being killed, but the Sharia does not allow us to kill them without a reason.” You can’t defend that.

"People’s Gazette also unearthed an audiotape in which he engaged in a weepy defense of Boko Haram terrorists against extra-judicial killings and asked for an amnesty for them just like Niger Delta militants. “See what our fellow Muslim brothers’ blood has turned to? Even pig blood has more value than that of a fellow Muslim brother,” he said.

"In the aftermath of the religious crisis in Shendam in Plateau State in 2004 in which Christian militiamen murdered scores of Hausa Muslims, Pantami was livid and tearful. In an audio of his preaching, he said the “Ahlus Sunna,” that is, people who are now called Salafists, should strike back and shun politicians and religious clerics who preached peace and restraint.

"This jihad is an obligation for every single believer, especially in Nigeria (hādhā jihād farḍ ‘ayn ‘ala kull muslim wa-khuṣūṣan fī Nījīriyā),” he said.

"In his March 2019 paper titled “The ‘Popular Discourses of Salafi Counter-Radicalism in Nigeria’ Revisited: A Response to Abdullahi Lamido’s Review of Alexander Thurston, Boko Haram,” Professor Andrea Brigaglia of the University of Cape Town, South Africa, writes:

"Subsequently, Pantami offers himself as a volunteer to mobilise the Hisba police of the Muslim-majority states and to be appointed as the ‘commander’ (Hausa: kwamanda) of a militia ready to travel to Yelwa Shendam to join the fight in defence of the Muslims. The speech, which is about twenty minutes long, concludes with the prayer: ‘Oh God, give victory to the Taliban and to al-Qaeda’ (Allahumma ’nṣur Ṭālibān wa-tanẓīm al-Qā‘ida).”

"With this summarised evidence, can we say such a person is fit to be a Minister? We urge him to resign as he is not fit to hold any public office." The statement said.

Politics / Corruption: New Acting IG Usman Alkali Gets First Test On The Job by NAPC1(m): 3:02am On Apr 11, 2021
New Acting IG Usman Alkali Gets First Test On The Job: Corruption Stench Under His Nose By IG Monitoring Unit Shocks Presidency, Civil Society Partners...

As alleged Edo crime kingpin Osakpanwan “Nomoless” perverts & converts IG Monitoring Unit to IG Monsters Unit and VP Osinbanjo charges new IGP to restore public confidence in Police.

By Anta Amatoe, International Reporter for Global Media Radar for Endangered Citizens (GloMREC), Africa Region, with Associate Reporters Usman Bugaje, Yusuf Hauwa and Amber Momodu - April 8, 2021.

A shattering petition to Nigeria’s Presidency and several federal redress commissions has shaken the foundation of the Buhari Administration, some of its international development partners, and called to question again before the international community the integrity of the Nigerian Police, arising from alleged corruption rot and justice perversion for cash by the IG Monitoring Unit under the nose of the new Acting Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba.

At the heart of the graphic petition and devastating scandal is one Osakpanwan Eriyo, alleged top-notch political thug, strong-arm land grabber and carnage-for-hire gangster said to be known in his police corruptive and society corroding world by the mobster alias “Nomoless.”

The petition portrays how the office of several IGs before the current one supplied Nomoless a retinue of personal police bodyguards whom the accused deploys without restraint as an extension of his violent strong-arm enterprise. For these shocking crime aiding services Nomoless reportedly pays handsome monthly royalty to every sitting IG in other to ensure unfettered impunity in the plying of his menace against society, from his Edo state primary territory to other parts of the country.

Copies of the petition obtained by our news media dated April 6, 2021 were addressed to the President through the Secretary to the Federal Government, Boss Mustapha, the Police Service Commission and the National Human Rights Commission, amongst others. The petition’s chilling content, like many others before it by victims of Mr. Osakpanwan across the country, especially Edo state, points to a long standing multi-million naira mafia-style crime franchise the illegal proceeds of which a ring of senior investigation officers and colluding ranking superiors attached to the IG’s office allegedly mine daily into their private pockets. With these, some conscientious insiders in the police force headquarters who loathe what they say has been going on for years in the Nigeria IG’s office, say that they build across the country mansions way above their official salaries which successful industrialists of advance countries would envy. The image cost to the Nigerian police and consequences shifted to the nation by such high-impact corruption in the highest towers of the country’s police command is best exemplified by the devastating #EndSARS protests and carnage of October last year which spread across most parts of Nigeria and led to irreplaceable loss of lives of both innocent members of the police force and the public, as well as arson, looting and destruction of private and public properties worth billions of naira.

Mafia Type

MayhemAccording to the petition signed by Patrick Osayande for Paul Osarenkhoe Chambers and Tony Agu Chambers, on the 28 of February this year, the said Osakpanwan Eriyo “Nomoless,” a near-patent illiterate connected by lakes of cash to the heart of the nation’s Police Force Headquarters, Abuja, led a deadly platoon of his police orderlies and thugs to Uzebu community, one of the many co-joined municipal delineations that form main Benin city metropolis.

As they fanned out towards their targeted circle of residential buildings they opened fire from pump-action rifles like a mafia strike force ahead of a Caterpillar Bulldozer and a second rag-tag band of Mr. Osakpanwan’s hoodlums. The hoodlums made straight for parked vehicles and set them ablaze while the Bulldozer roared into long standing residential buildings and brought them down. Osakpanwan claimed that the long-standing buildings were developed on his land, without the slimmest strip of paper or court judgment document to show the entire community of Uzebu, an ancient municipal residence.

Several persons scampering for life from the scene of roaring artillery and mayhem were shot in the crossfire of Nomoless’ police minions and his thugs. One of them was ferried to and hospitalized at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) where he was treated of injury and post-incident trauma. That grand old elite institution stands till date to testify about the hospitalization and treatment of one of the victims.

When the dislodged residents returned to the scene, it was with the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Evbotubu Police Station, the nearest police precinct to the scene of incident, where they had fled and officially lodged complaint of the broad-day mayhem. Police Area Command Zone 5 simultaneously stepped in at the distress invitation of the triple-trauma victims of violent eviction, arson and demolition, infractions meted to them in broad daylight without recourse to any shadow of the law. For evidence, ample pellets and spent cartridges from the avalanche of Osakpanwan’s police orderlies and thugs were recovered from the scene by the contingents of investigating cops.

Investigation Subversion

Shortly after the police’s recovery of artillery evidence from the scene, matters suddenly got mysterious. The police formation in entire Edo state began to treat the heinous felonies committed by the accused like history of another age that never happened. The victims told our reporters that it became clear to them that Osakpanwan’s open boasts to them during the entire episode were manifesting under their eyes. He is said to have told them that with his “money and connection” with the nations’ top police hierarchy, he was beyond reproach. According to them, it dawned on them that the ugly lava of compromise wrapped in Nigeria’s classical disease of corruption had flowed under the bridge between Osakpanwan’s boated lake of money and the police in Edo territory.

Alarmed, the victims led by one Mr. Fidelis Owen who is the Uzebu community’s secretary, Martins Obakpolor, Sunday Ogbonwan and Victor Omoregbe, lodged the felonies with the office of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Force Headquarters Annex, Lagos, which promptly invited the accused. Not once but thrice. The accused blatantly ignored and dismissed Alagbon’s invitation.

The community secretary told our reporters, “Throughout this ugly nightmare, Osakpanwan repeatedly boasted to our faces that the overall Inspector-General of Police of any administration and his Abuja Force Headquarters personnel feed from his palm and are in his pocket. So, again, true to his boast that no police formation in the country could bring his actions to question, it was clear to us that somehow he had again employed superior Abuja Force Headquarters to scuttle Alagbon’s independent investigation of his atrocious brigandage against Uzebu community.”

Lous Edet House, “House of Compromise…

”In a most dramatic twist of events police of IG’s Force Headquarters, Abuja, suddenly invited notable indigenes of Uzebu community who have been in the forefront of baying for justice against Osakpanwan Nomoless. As obedient, law-abiding citizens who thought that relief and justice had come at last from the zenith court of the Nigeria police authority, they eagerly made the journey from Benin to Abuja on March 29, 2021. And walked right into the trap of Osakpanwan’s paid police personnel under the IG’s office.

The investigation and justice subversion syndicate in the IG’s office alleged to be under Osakpanwan’s payroll for mayhem, carnage and immunity from prosecution are led by ACP A.A. Elleman, SP Usman Garba and DSP Aminu Sokoto. These officers ordered the Uzebu community leaders from Benin to be stripped to their pants and herded them into detention where they have remained incarcerated to this hour of going to press. Without so much as a glance at the victims originating complaints and petitions.

Our reporters were told, “That is how it works in the office of the Police Inspector-General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria where ACP A.A. Elleman, SP Usman Garba and DSP Aminu Sokoto imperiously reign as prosecutors, judges and executioners.”

Our reporters went to town and spoke to a cross section of civil society, NBA, foreign embassy watchers of the Nigerian government and officials of some of Nigeria’s international development partners, including the United Nation Developent Fund, European Union Commission and the German Goethe Institute. Most of them who spoke on conditions of anonymity were unanimous in their disgust.

At a Western embassy whose country has vital trade, military training and hardware pipeline, a senior diplomat, shook his head after perusing our obtained copy of Barr. Paul Osarenkhoe’s petition to the Presidency and said, “The nefarious activities of the Nigerian Police is fairly known to the world. It is the principal reason Nigeria had the grueling #EndSARS protest across your country last year, which spread to some major countries of the world, including mine.

”He continued, “Your police authorities are also the reason why your country (Nigeria) will not leave the dishonorable corrupt nations index list of the world for a pretty long while.” Then he added with a surprising note of hope, “You know, you have a new Inspector-General of Police who was appointed only a few days ago. He could cut a different path for himself, especially now that your country is on edge in many fronts. It does happen in the history of nations. A top government fella comes along that turns the apple cart of corruption for a new dawn, keeps his nose clean and resolutely sets up new ways of doing things. Let’s see how it goes with this one. Afterall your Vice President charged him with the responsibility to restore public confidence in your police. Let’s hope this case will meet your VP’s expectations and put him in the spotlight as a reformer.

IGP Alkali and Uzebu

Many civil society groups across the country have come to learn in the last five days about the tragic travesty of the latest victims of Osakpanwan Nomoless’ police manipulation in the Inspector-General’s office. They have also learned of the latest intrigue of Nomoless, the actual perpetrator of obstruction of police investigations and justice perversion. On March 8, 2021, Nomoless instructed the IGP’s squad alleged to be on his payroll to urge his detained victims to beg him (Osakpanwan) for forgiveness as one of several haughty conditions if they wished to taste freedom or see their families again in the nearest future. And the news is spreading.

Well acquainted with the character of Nomoless and his modus notoriety in the game of turning victims to accused with what they describe as “Osakpanwan’s ill-gotten and ill-deployed money,” they are currently coming together across the geo-political zones of the country to take a common position.

This is a red flag for the new Acting IG to personally and thoroughly investigate what is now being called across social media platforms as “IGP Alkali and Uzebu 4,” akin to the trumped-up Ogoni-9 Victim-to-Condemned Saro-Wiwa travesty of November 10, 1995, a watershed in world history of judicial verdicts which the then Prime Minister of Britain described as ‘judicial murder.”

A large section of the Nigeria media is also watching. Before going to press we learned that they are also making the same demand of the new Acting IGP, Usman Alkali Baba. A really simple demand. Investigate the real Osakpanwan Eriyo, alias Nomoless now, and Usman Alkali might just find a deep appalling can of worms in the best friend of Elleman, Usman Garba and Kabiru Sokoto.

Politics / Assassination Attempt On Ortom Is Barbaric, Sign Of Failure In Governance– Kalu by NAPC1(m): 4:41pm On Mar 24, 2021
LAGOS- A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Emeka Charles Kalu, has condemned assassination attempt on Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom, describing it as barbaric.

Kalu, National Coordinator of Peoples Democratic Party Coalition (PDPCO) and former governorship candidate in Abia State, who spoke to DAILY INDEPENDENT on Tuesday, stated that the attack on Ortom showed that the All Progressive Congress (APC) government of President Muhammadu Buhari has failed.

According to him, “When bandits, hoodlums, and terrorists will now outwit the nation’s security apparatus and try to engage and attack sitting governors in a shoot-out is a strong indication that the government has failed in its responsibility of protecting the citizens and the nation.”

Kalu said it was disheartening that with the complete security blockade by the military and the police, it was surprising that the marauders would now attack state governors with audacity and abduct people in parts of the country.

He stressed: “This can only happen in Nigeria. The Benue State governor is a strong man and is protected by the almighty God. Those so-called bandits do not have the power to take away life because they do not give life.

“A day shall come when we will have a responsible government that can deal decisively with all these ugly situations the country is presently facing, and we will see them no more.

“Then and only then shall we begin to see security in the country. Then, the fear of the unknown will be eliminated and we shall see a new Nigeria, which will be under a government with good policies and upright in governance.”
