PoliticsA Revolution Is Already Under Way In Nigeria – Kalu by NAPC1(op): 8:12pm On Sep 01, 2019
Chief Emeka Charles Kalu, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, is Director General, Global Initiative for Good Governance. In this interview with Ejikeme Omenazu, he spoke on the ministerial allocation to South East, attack on former Deputy Speaker Ike Ekweremadu by members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) in Germany, among other issues. Excerpts:

How do you see the ministerial allocation to South East by President Muhammadu Buhari?

What will I say? Jump up? The constitution prescribes that representatives must come from the 36 states to form the kitchen cabinet that will work with the president. If there were no such laws in Nigeria, I doubt if he would have considered anyone from the South East, considering his open love for the people of this area since 2015.

Also to confirm what I just said now, all the ministers from the South East are junior ministers who are answerable to higher persons. So, what else do we need to prove that South East is shortchanged since 2015? We are used to his methods.

Would you say that those ministers who were reappointed, or retained their positions performed well during their first tenure?

This is a technical question that I will answer with another question so that we can find the answers together. If they all performed well, why did the Senate adopt the awkward method of ‘Take a bow and leave’?

The screening time of would-be ministers is the time Nigerians get the opportunity of assessing these men based on their experiences and past performances and then know where they fit in. We were not just denied that opportunity, we were given names without portfolios attached and we ended up having round pegs in square holes. Someone shielded the old ministers. So, let us agree with them.

What do you think South East should expect from this administration?

I wouldn’t know. But I think, we should accept what we get, even if it is nothing. What did we get during the first term? The highway from Enugu to Port Harcourt that was started under former President Goodluck Jonathan who did one side of the lanes, the other side that was continued by this administration has remained under construction since 2015, and it is yet to reach Aba despite that it is not a straight construction (some areas are left as they’re not too bad). All federal roads in the East are death traps, even my State Abia State is cut off on many sides. What do you expect us to expect?

How could South East present its desire to produce the President in 2023 if it is to be seen as serious by the other zones to warrant their support?

First is that South East is part of this project called ‘Nigeria’. They fought so hard for its independence. So, it is paramount that they are given the opportunity to contribute like others have. The way the South East will achieve this is by building bridges and forming a united front, based on purpose driven target. South East has qualified men and women that can turn the fortunes of the nation around. All they need is to reach out and liaise with other zones for the Presidency dream to materialise.

What is your take on the recent attack on former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, by IPOB members in Germany?

Ekweremadu is my brother and very good friend. I received the news of his attack with a rude shock. In our Igbo culture, we respect elders and have reasonable ways of expressing dissenting opinions. That method was not part of it. For crying out loud, it was this man that stuck his neck out to secure the release of Nnamdi Kanu. It didn’t make sense to me why the same man he saved would order people to attack him. The attack is a national omen that every sane Nigerian should condemn, and have condensed.

Would you say that Nigeria needs a revolution for proper democracy to take its roots? If so, what form should such a revolution take?

I hope you wouldn’t accuse me of calling for an overthrow of government because that word ‘Revolution’ has been misconstrued possibly because of where we are coming from historically. But, I think a revolution is already under way in Nigeria. That was why we supported Atiku as the man with ideas to steer Nigeria aright. Any time Nigeria decides to sit together to discuss and reconcile our differences, forgive each other and decide how to co-exist, our problems will varnish overnight.

Democracy has already taken its foothold. What we need is consolidation and that can only come with dialogue and true sense of patriotism and national consciousness. Nothing more. The people of the world believe that Atiku is coming.

As a supporter of the Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, what is your take on the recent arrest, detention and court bail granted to his son-in-law, Abdullahi Babalele?

I commend the judiciary for the bail granted to Mr Abdullahi Babalele, son-in-law to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former vice president and the party’s presidential candidate in the 2019 election. The detention of Babalele, Finance Director of Atiku’s Group of Companies, has been generating a lot of controversies in the polity. A lot of people, especially in the opposition, believe that Babalele’s arrest and detention was aimed at intimidating and frustrating Atiku, who is at the tribunal with President Muhammad Buhari over the presidential election.

I extol the court for finally granting bail to Babalele, who was arrested by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC) based on the proverbial ‘order from above’ in a Gestapo style.

However, I frown at the bail amount of N20 million given to Babalele. I have been wondering what offence he could have committed to warrant such bail condition. I see this as extortion and further attempt to demoralise Atiku through the machinery of the state, whereas the court is supposed to be the last hope of the oppressed and common man. N20 million for a single bail is outrageous and wicked, to say the least.

However, we are thankful that they were considerate enough to know that he deserves his freedom. But, they should also remember that if the fight against corruption continues to sail in this direction, it will become a systemic style of robbing one man (presumed enemy) to enrich another (the ones with integrity to steal), and it does not spell good for the independence and integrity of our esteemed judiciary.

The judiciary should sit up and be independent instead of being controlled by the executive, stressing that that was the only way Nigeria would not slide into total anarchy. The court should stop this extortion being practised against opposition, as well as the unending intimidation and blackmail of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar through trumped up charges and illegal arrests. We are still waiting for the arraignment of Alhaji Ahmed Bola Tinubu whose undisclosed amount was brandished in a bullion vans during the last elections. Does it mean that some people are immune to the law while others are vulnerable?

This intimidation should stop. We are still waiting for the court on the tribunal outcome because to me, this is their last opportunity to redeem their already battered image in the eyes of the public and the international community. Atiku is imminently coming.

PoliticsAtikulated Agenda Boss Hits Hard At Political Harlots And Flirts Destroying 9ja by NAPC1(op):
Press Statement – 20/8/2019

The DG, Atkulated Agenda Worldwide and Global Initiative for Good Governance (GIGG), Chief Dr. Emeka C. Kalu, has hit hard on a group of people he has come to term as “Political Harlots and Flirts”, owing to their inability to exhibit stability and consistency in their political inclination and commitments.

In Statement signed by his aide on media and publicity, Comr Amos Kalu, the DG said that these set of people have remained the main cause of political instability bedeviling Nigeria as they cannot be trusted with loyalty to either party or the nation, saying they are loyal only to their desires and political gains accruing from the woes of the nation for which they claim to love and serve her interest. They are the virus, the cankerworms eating up the roots and genes of our democracy because their mission is just to “to Kill, to steal, destroy and decamp”.

“They are fair weather politicians who move with the wind of happenstances and never stand trying times for any reason. They play the mole in Nigeria politics and pitch leaders against presumed enemies in the guise of followership, forgetting that their saboteur roles have continued to destroy the nation and cripple our democracy.

“I will never mince my words for them. They are the evil rain that beats no good”

Dr. Kalu said his anger was hinged on the actions of supposed followers of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who abandoned boat when he did not come through immediately after 23rd February, 2019 general election. He said that some of the most trusted supporters that benefited directly from Atiku abandoned him so soon that you will begin to wonder if they were ever with him in the first place or was it just because of what they wanted to get out of him.

“Realizing that we invested our own recourses and time without getting support from Alhaji Atiku because we believed in what he stands for and how he will steer Nigeria to the path of true democracy and development.

“Realizing also that even when the going got tough, we stayed back and keep investing and believing no matter the outcome Atiku is the solution we need. It then gets annoying that when they realized that Atiku is coming through, folks who had abandoned the project started reopening new groups and now talking about Atiku, these set of folks got attached to this projects because of financial gains, I pray that the party leadership. Identify such hoodlums who are now chanting Atiku because they see he is coming.

“Where have they been since after the election? Why are they pestering him again all of a sudden?

“I am not pushing any person away, but they were people who are dedicated and remained dedicated with their own personal resources without any help from the campaign organization or any one, this is what is called party man and loyalty. Good Party man swims against the tide and ride with the winds and never fair weather follower” He said.

PoliticsATTACK ON EKWEREMADU: An Action Every Igbo Should Condemn Intoto by NAPC1(op): 4:10am On Aug 20, 2019
The news of attack of an illustrious son of Igbo race, an indefatigable and respectable policeman of repute who has championed and continued to stand defense of the interest of Ndi Igbo has continued to attract reactions across board.

The Director General of Atikulated Agenda and Global Initiative for Good Governance (GIGG), Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu has in a Press Statement issued from his USA base and signed by his aide on media and publicity, Comr. Amos Kalu, condemned the unwarranted attack on Senator Ike Ekweremmadu in Germany.

In his statements, Dr. Kalu maintained that there are other ways the people could’ve expressed their displeasure of which dialogue is the best option rather than taking laws into their hands in such a manner that will portray Ndi-Igbo as an unlawful race.

He said it is important that we value what we have at all times irrespective of our sentiments and emotions. Insisting that Ekweremmadu have not just endeared himself to his and other people’s heart as an Igbo but a true definition of brother.

Borrowing the words of Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe who captured the incident in a more vivid description, "Obviously this is not how to repay a man, an outstanding leader of men, an unpretentious Igbo leader who has given his all even going as far as deploying his means to arrange for the bail of Nnamdi Kanu, not minding the repercussions to his illustrious political career.

"It is unfortunate. The perpetrators of the attack should know that as Igbos, we respect elders and reverence our leaders. The unwarranted attack is not the character of the Igbo. This is un-Igbo. It is most worrisome and even inconceivable that the attackers will choose an auspicious occasion where our people are celebrating and showcasing our rich culture to exhibit such is unbecoming”

“I join millions of Nigerians and Ndi Igbo home and abroad to condemn the actions of the perpetrators and I call on the German Government to investigate the matter and bring the culprits to book.

“It is a deep rooted culture of the Igbo to respect our elders irrespective of any clime we find ourselves, because we believe that respect is reciprocal” He said.

PoliticsBabalele’s Arrest: Nigeria Sliding Into Anarchy Under Buhari – Kalu by NAPC1(op): 6:55pm On Aug 13, 2019
LAGOS – Chief Emeka C. Kalu, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and director general of Atikulated Agenda Worldwide, has lamented that the country is gradually sliding into anarchy under the current administration.

Kalu, who was reacting to the arrest of Mr Abdulahi Babalele, son-in-law to Abubakar Atiku and finance director of Atiku’s Group of Companies, reportedly taken in by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), accused President Muhammadu Buhari of using what he termed as “fear factor and intimidation” to bring Nigerians to their knees.

The PDP chief, who spoke in a statement signed by Amos Kalu, his media and publicity aide, expressed shock at the arrest, saying it was a sign that Nigeria was indeed descending into anarchy under the current administration.

He maintained that the arrest of Atiku’s son-in-law was one of the strategies being adopted by the administration, not only to humiliate and embarrass the PDP presidential candidate, who had been working to retrieve his mandate at the Presidential Election Tribunal, but to mount unnecessary pressure on Atiku.

Kalu maintained that the Presidency had been employing all manner of tactics to frustrate Atiku to either abandon the quest or bow to pressure and since it they were not working, it had resorted to intimidating people around him, a process, which he said, must be condemned by Nigerians.

PoliticsEmeka Kalu: Atiku Will Come Out Victorious At The Tribunal by NAPC1(op): 5:09pm On Aug 08, 2019
CHIEF DR. EMEKA KALU, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and Director General of Atikulated Agenda 2019, is a former governorship candidate of Abia State under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). He spoke to EJIKEME OMENAZU on the recent screening and confirmation of ministers-designate, insecurity, among other issues. Excerpt:

What is your impression on the Ministers-designate confirmed recently by the Senate for President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term cabinet?

Well, I will be plain without sounding apologetic. First, you need to have sound economic policies before you begin to talk about drivers. I don’t know if we presently have any since 2015. There is more to this exercise that meets the eye. There are a lot of issues about the ministerial nomination that would bluntly tell you that we should not invest high hopes in such an exercise.

You will agree with me that the essence of screening of the nominated ministers is for us to assess their readiness to serve when they defend their expertise in respect of the posts or the portfolio they were assigned. Now, the first flaw was that their names came without portfolio, which is a sign that the process is already skewed. Then, like a well-plotted script, all we were hearing was “Take a bow and leave”. This is the most ridiculous process I have ever witnessed anywhere around the world. But, if I were to borrow the words of my good friend, Dino Melaye, “The process was a beautiful nonsense”.

Having said this, what else would you expect from a process that is already described as “Beautiful Nonsense” by the actors themselves? When you later assign portfolio at your own whims, we would end up having round pegs in square holes.

How do you see the way the Senate cleared all the 43 nominees?

You already heard me. The process was a well-plotted script that was followed to the latter. So, I will say nonsense is nonsense even when it is beautiful. In one popular movie, ‘Mr Bones’, he said, “shit is shit, even when it is coming from my prince”. Is there anything as “holy shit”?

What is your take on the statement by the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, in which he said that Ndigbo should be grateful to President Muhammadu Buhari for giving them the number of ministers they got when they gave him (Buhari) very little votes?

Oshiomhole is a man associated with loud mouth. When you give a child something bigger than his imagination, he will ask you, “Is this for me and who?” For the position he holds now, he thinks he has all the powers to act everything he talks. After fighting Okorocha so hard and boasting about it, Okorocha still made it to the senate, which tells you all you need to know.

As for being grateful to Buhari for giving Ndigbo ministers, it is laughable. We know very well that the constitution stipulates that the kitchen cabinet must be formed from across the 36 states of the federation. Knowing the antecedents of Mr. President and his open display of love for Ndigbo, I am surprised if he would have appointed them anywhere at all if it were not enshrined in the constitution.

President Buhari is supposed to be the President of Nigeria, so anyone making it to look as if he belongs to him is misleading the President and that is possibly why everything seems to be going anti clockwise since 2015.

What is your view on the continued detention of El-Zakzaky and FG’s declaration of Shi’ites as a terrorist group? Do you see government’s action being capable of calming or infuriating the group?

Well, this is a sensitive issue. I issued a statement on it. I am not in support of the protests and the causal effects it has continued to generate. But, I think we should look beyond the surface and apportion blames appropriately.

You will agree with me that the competent courts of jurisdiction in Nigeria have issued orders for the release of this man which have continued to be flaunted by the Buhari-led government for whatever reasons best known to them. By so doing, he has eroded the integrity of our judicial system. That is bad. Then suddenly, the same Buhari, who has been disobeying court orders, goes to the same court to obtain permission to proscribe the Shi’ites and he decides to execute it immediately. What do you call that?

It means that our President is so above the law that he obeys only those ones he wants to while jettisoning the ones he deems unfavourable to him. It will be a very big mistake to think that this singular action will eventually calm the Shi’ites. In fact, we should be ready for more surprises. Whatever the reason they are still holding him, they should also put into consideration the already tensed peace of the nation. We have issues of bandits, herdsmen/farmers clash, IPOB, militants and kidnappers, and so on. How much more do we wish to create?

How best do you think the current insecurity situation in the country could be better handled for best results?

It is simple. Bring every party round the table and jaw-jaw. Only dialogue can assuage the many insecurity challenges we face via reconciliation. Atiku offered practicable solution to them and that is why we are still optimistic that it can be achieved in the nearest feature.

Do you foresee the possibility of South East producing the president in 2023, as both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), the two major political parties, are likely to pick their candidates from other zones?

I don’t just foresee it. Rather, it is the right thing to do in order to give Ndigbo a sense of belonging as part of this great Nigeria Project. All Ndigbo needs to do is to build political bridges and make positive alignment in preparation for 2023. Only a united front and purpose can guarantee it for Ndigbo. But, I am telling you it is the right thing to do at this material time.

How do you think your party, PDP, should overcome the 2019 electoral loss to make positive impact and possibly take over the rein of governance in 2023 elections?

There is the need for the PDP to rein in their horses and go back to the drawing board to reinforce. There is a great task ahead between now and 2023. If the PDP has hid their card to their chest, the APC wouldn’t have had a field day in rigging the 2019 election as it did in 2019.

I blame the party’s leadership for allowing disunity to rob us the 2019 poll. They forgot the exigencies of harnessing their acts and working like a team. I recall the outright sell-out of the PDP senators that cost them the senate presidency, which was shocking.

PDP leadership needs to do much more to bring unity among the members. The PDP members have been all loyal to selves. They place personal interests above party loyalty. That is the only explanation why almost all of them reportedly received bribe at the dying minute and voted against their own party member in the Senate. It was a big shame.

I am a party man. I have always emphasised on party loyalty. Loyal party men don’t jump from one party to another at the slightest sign of challenge. Even before the election was over, some people abandoned ship and left Atiku alone thinking it was over. I was asking myself, were these people actually with us in the true sense of the word ‘US’? How can a supposed friend quickly abandon you at the slightest sign of challenge? I see this as one of the bane of our success as a party and a trend that should be checked in toto.

On this premise therefore, I advise that if PDP will make headway like the great party she is, they must learn how to put their acts together and work like a team because the task ahead is enormous. In the same vein, I am calling on the party to keep hope alive because I believe that Atiku/PDP will still come out victorious at the ongoing tribunal. PDP is a great party to reckon with any time any day. Our success lies in our ability to unit as the great party we are while shunning self-interest and putting the interest of the party first.

We should never lose focus as a result of the antics of the power grabbers because victory is ours. It is our responsibility to retrieve the mandate of the people from plunderers and harness it against 2023. If we don’t pull ourselves together now, we may still find ourselves grappling for what rightfully is ours. Let us rebuild PDP on the strong pillars of unity and party loyalty so that 2023 will be a walkover for us.

PoliticsAttack On PDP Witnesses X-rays The Failure In Nigeria Security System – Kalu by NAPC1(op): 3:18pm On Jul 14, 2019
The Director General of Atikulated Agenda Worldwide, Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu has expressed shock at the News of attack on the witnesses of the People’s Democratic Party on their way to court from Zamfara State which made the court to adjourn the case to Monday.

In a statement issued from his Abuja office signed by his Aide on Media and Publicity, Comr. Amos Kalu, Dr. Kalu berated the Buhari/APC-Led Administration for failing to provide adequate security for protection of lives and properties of Nigerians, stating that security challenge under Buhari has been at its lowest ebb, as it has never been seen in the history of Nigeria since amalgamation.

“We are living in a critical time in the history of our dear nation where we can no longer sleep with our two eyes closed. We get attacked on the road, in the mall, at the airport, in National Assemblies, in the church, in the mall, in the mosques, virtually everywhere, yet it seems we no longer have any government in place.

This latest attack has X-rayed the level of failure of this administration in the area of security, vis-a-vis other sectors. “This attack I am sure is targeted at intimidating the determined opposition that has proved strength in their effort to retrieve the people’s mandate from the desperate few that are holding Nigeria down in penury, hunger, and insecurity.

“We want to assure them that no amount of intimidation and threat will deter us from pursuing our legitimate right of seeking justice through the court which is the last hope of the common man” He said.

Further, Dr. Kalu said he is not surprised if the Judges and lawyers handling the case are getting life threatening challenges unknown to Nigerians all so that a few greedy men will remain in power.

“This open attack on our witnesses should give us insight into what the Judges and Lawyers must be facing in the hands of these desperate power grabbers.

“I call on the Nigerian Police to investigate this matter and bring the perpetrators to book.

“I also call on the Judiciary to stand firm on their resolve to ensure that justice prevail by not succumbing to any threat coming from the desperate power grabbers who are hell-bent on making sure that Nigeria die in chaos” He admonished.

Meanwhile, He called on PDP and other stakeholders in this project to hold on and be strong in the face of these wanton anomalies because the party is close to victory for PDP and the entire masses of oppressed Nigerians which they represent their interest.

“Nobody will cajole us out of our rightful pursuit. The essence of these attack is to scare the remaining witnesses who are still coming with overwhelming evidence that will further drawn the sinking administration of Cabals.

“But we are nor giving in to intimidation and/or blackmail that will derail our focus” He concludes.

GoTV:
sad As a born again Christian who is meant to speak the truth at all times, i believe this abomination will never be found amongst our Muslim brothers. I have never seen Muslim parents openly trading their childrens happiness for wealth. We Christians need to be shameful and reduce our crave for wealth and material things of these world. John 3:16 says For God so love the world that he sent his begotten son Jesus to die for our sins and those who believe in Jesus will have eternal life. This present generation of Christians have deviated from the teachings of Christ. Sometimes I'm ashamed to be a Christian sad

With less than 24hrs to the traditional wedding ceremony of 22-year old actress, Regina Daniels, her father who has been conspicuously absent has spoken up.

The man Jude Ojeogwu took to Facebook to announce that he is still alive and he is yet to speak to the moneybag, Ned Nwoko.

From all indications, Rita who is Regina's mom appears to be in bad terms with Jude. His public message has gone viral on social media and he also laced it up with proofs.

PoliticsBuhari Asset Declaration Is A Farce, Say Kalu. What’s In It? by NAPC1(op):
PRESS STATEMENT: 28/5/2019

The director General of Atikulated Agenda Worldwide and one time Gubernatorial Aspirant in Abia State under APGA; Chief Emeka Kalu has lampooned the President Mohammedu Buhari over the claim that he has declared his asset through the CCB for accepting to fill a form. He says that this is a process we passed in 2014 and up-to-date we don’t have any idea of what he declared.

Chief Kalu in a Press Statement issued through his Media and Publicity Aide, Comr. Amos Kalu (AFK), said that Nigeria has come of age that our intelligence should not be played with, questioning how possible it is that you will declare an asset and the public will have no idea of what you declared, making it a one man show.

Recalling, he took us back to memory lane when after the so-called asset declaration nothing was heard till when it was political advantageous for them after he had acquired more wealth that will be captured in whatever document they doctored.

“For instance, in September 2015, Garba Shehu, presidential spokesman, released a statement saying the president had less than N30 million to his name before he took office on May 29, 2015. This was a man that name claimed to have borrowed money to by Presidential Ticket in 2014”. What a magic.

According to the statement, Buhari owned five houses in Kaduna, Daura, Kano and Abuja, and has two undeveloped plots of land, one in Kano and the other in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. He added that Buhari had farms, an orchard, ranch, livestock including 270 cattle, 25 sheep, five horses, a variety of birds and a number of economic trees.

Shehu also said the president had “one bank account with the Union Bank, no foreign account, no factory, no enterprises, and no oil wells” and two of his houses in Daura are “mud-made”.

“He borrowed money from the old Barclays Bank to build two of his homes,” he had said.

“The documents also showed that the retired general uses a number of cars, two of which he bought from his savings and the others supplied to him by the federal government in his capacity as a former Head of State. The rest were donated to him by well-wishers after his jeep was damaged in a Boko Haram bomb attack on his convoy in July 2014.”

“My question is this: what is his assets stand now, why will it remain secret to Nigerians when FIB gives us right to know? The question is unending, but no answer to them”. He said.

We know how Buhari is fighting “His” Corruption. But they should stop playing with intelligence of Nigerians.
