Politics / Another Golden Jewel Is Gone! Tribute To Lady (Barr.) Nimi Faith Ohuabunwa by NAPC1(m): 11:39pm On Jul 31, 2023
My heart was saddened to have received the painful death of your beloved wife (Barr. Nimi Faith Ohuabunwa following a brief illness after celebrating her birthday a month a ago. The agony of loosing one's hearthrob is a deeper one and I Share your pains in this mournful time and devastating time.

Barr. Ohuabunwa was one of the virtuous women that had lived in the tide of time having empowered women in divergent capacities. Her exit left a great vacuum in your family and the entire people of Abia State.

Having kicked the bucket and joined her ancenstors at this ripe and greener age, leaving the family in mournful state. Nigerians who cherish excellence will miss her dearly. A woman of humble character despite how highly placed she was wouldn't be easily forgotten.

As her sound records of character nicety still lives despite her having gone out of the body, Lady Ohuabunwa remains a golden trinket worth warring for honour. Though we mourn but her good legacies on earth give room for thanksgiving in the fact that her soul is surely refreshing in the Lord's bossom.

On behalf of my family and the entire members of Stercoll Group, I sincerely commiserate with you to take heart as God will grant you the grace to bear the irreparable loss. May her soul rest in Peace.

Politics / Chief Emeka Kalu, A Paragon Of Liberal Democracy And Productive Leadership by NAPC1(m): 11:28pm On Jul 26, 2023
Driving in the nails holding together the funiture parts of the 2027 Senatorial ambition of His Excellency, Chief Emeka Kalu, a human capacity builder and trailblazer of our political time, researched documentaries have validly confirmed the good character and leadership standing of whom the cap fits and he is no other person than CHIEF EMEKA KALU.

What is found in him energinzed us to have written a profound articles in honour of his integrity and prominence in the society. One who had on several occasions touched lives via social welfare empowerment schemes, community relations services and a host of others. As a mongul in Oil and gas industries, his business has created jobs for people from different segments of the nation. Having fed families with his personal resources demonstrates the fact that when given a space to fill in the Red Chamber come 2027, he would equally feed more not those who come to politics with the hidden intent of stealing and diverting public funds as their personal belongings.

His sterling leadership qualities, classic political visions, profound character and advancement plans for our dear Nation including some of his policies, programs and mission statements to get Abia North Senatorial District working again remains an indelible footprints on the sand of time. We hereby unequivocally re-affirm that the only man to represent and move Abia North district from where it is today to the front page of transformation is CHIEF EMEKA KALU.

Kalu is not a renegade rather he is a restructurer: He means well for his people to have been working committedly to liberate the entire Abia State from looting sydromes that political coupon clippers had long stooged her in. His agenda to transform the polity when being elected in Senatorial capacity would in no small measure redeem the lost glory of effective representation both in State and at the national level. As a detribalized
leader with all good sense of astuteness, Chief Kalu is capable of spearheading and actualizing a wider volume of Nigeria industrialization plans through stern and robust facilitation of motions capable of achieving such legislations in the parliament.

With his personally hard earned wealth, he had sparingly impacted humanity in the leaps and bounds of Nigeria and this is actually what announces a leader. Leadership by example remains the key, any other thing outside this quality is prebendal sentiment, political horse trading and a good leader is bound to get the world confirm his traits exemplary. Therefore, as the Director General of Global Initiatives For Good Governance, Chief Kalu's mobilization bell rings loudly and he is equal to the task. He needs the Support of all well meaning Nigerians, especially the good people of Abia North to solidly stand by him so as to implant change in the Senatorial district.

As he gets ready in his journey to the Nigerian Senate come 2027, his candour, feasible agenda and demonstrative leadership supercedes those of his would be contenders who may not understand that it takes the engagement of sensible personalities to properly function in law making jobs. On KALU's 2027 mandate we vehemently stand and as Abia People in their majority converge to vote him into office, he is sure to make greater inputs in the National Assembly than those clueless masquarders that had taken the State economy backward.

Support Chief Kalu and then be expecting a newly revived, transformed, restructured and working Nigeria for all.

Politics / FG Must Investigate, Tell Nigerians Who Is Behind Bombing Of Atiku’s Residence by NAPC1(m): 3:37pm On Jul 25, 2023
FG must investigate, tell Nigerians who is behind bombing of Atiku’s residence - Chief Emeka Kalu

President of Atikulated Agenda 2019, and Coordinator of Global Initiatives For Good Governance, Chief Emeka Kalu has condemned the bombing of the home of Nigeria's former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar by terrorists.

Kalu in a statement frowned at the development, stating that it is obvious that some people are scared of the eventual outcome of the presidential election tribunal.

He therefore called on the Federal government as a matter of urgency, investigate the attack and arrest those who carried out the act.

He said "I am calling on the international community and all who wish Nigeria well to take note of this ugly incident that happened against the former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Boko Haram went to his house and detonated bombs, so if he was at home, he would have been killed.

This is happening a few days after INEC had declared that he won 21 States. What are they not telling us, what are they not telling us? Nigerians are asking questions.

Has it come to politics of bitterness? How can Boko Haram go and bomb the home of the former vice president? Who are they working for? This is not good.

Somebody has to be held responsible, should anything happen to the former vice president. Politics should not be a dead end, where people go and want to kill one another. Power is transient, and life should not be exchanged for power. We won't accept it and we are asking the international community to step into this, to weigh into this. It is wrong in the presence of God and man.

We won't accept this. The Federal government must swing into action immediately and investigate and tell Nigerians what happened. Because right now, we won't sit back and watch. This has to be investigated ans we need to know who and who are involved in the menace.

We want to know this involved in the evil plot to assassinate the former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. This won't be business as usual", he said.

Nairaland / General / Celebrating Hilda Effiong Bassey Is Celebrating Mediocrity by NAPC1(m): 10:50am On May 16, 2023
Where excellence meets no gratification, what remains to be celebrated is underachievement. Nigeria will keep on celebrating mediocrity despite the massive failure of the Nigerian state.

Celebrating mediocrity typically refers to recognizing or rewarding average or subpar performance or achievements. While it is important to acknowledge effort and progress, celebrating mediocrity can have negative consequences in various aspects of life, including personal growth, professional development, and societal progress. Here are a few reasons why celebrating mediocrity may not be beneficial:

Lack of motivation: Celebrating mediocrity can create a culture of complacency, where individuals may become content with average performance and lack the motivation to strive for improvement or excellence.

Stagnation: By accepting and celebrating mediocrity, there is a risk of inhibiting personal and professional growth. When people settle for average, they may be less inclined to take risks, challenge themselves, or explore their full potential.

Lower standards and expectations: Celebrating mediocrity can lead to a lowering of standards and expectations, both individually and collectively. This can hinder progress and innovation in various fields and limit overall societal advancement.

Impact on quality and competitiveness: In fields where excellence and high standards are crucial, such as education, healthcare, or technology, celebrating mediocrity can have a negative impact on quality and competitiveness. It may impede advancements and hinder the development of breakthrough ideas or solutions.

It is important to strike a balance between recognizing genuine achievements and encouraging continuous improvement. Celebrating exceptional accomplishments and encouraging individuals to strive for excellence can foster a culture of growth, innovation, and personal development.

Politics / 2023: Kalu Makes Clarion Call For Nigerians To Vote Atiku by NAPC1(m): 11:14am On Feb 07, 2023
As the 2023 presidential election counts down to its point of denouement, with endless banter from different political players who are on top of themselves with the singular mission of planting their preferred candidates, some voices of reason have risen to make case for the need to embrace reality over sentiments, an omen that has been prevalent in the political space to date.

Prominent among these voices is a political juggernaut and grassroots mobilizer, renowned for his unflinching position in support of good governance in Nigeria and Africa at large, Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu, the convener of Global Initiative for Good Governance, GIGG, who has called on Nigerians to be careful to make an informed decision in 2023 as any error will further relegate the nation to the abyss and path of a failed state, insisting that the nation at this point needs a leader with capacity and requisite experience to unite the country as Nigeria cannot progress without working as a single unit with one purpose.

In a press statement he signed and made available to the media, Dr. Kalu, who is also the National Coordinator of PDP Coalition said that his call is coming on the conviction that among all the contestants, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar remains the only leader with the capacity to bring Nigerians together in unity as a Patriotic Nationalist who has dealt with all sections of Nigeria without segregation as witnessed during his shot as VP where he assembled the best brains in Nigeria as leader of the economic team that brought about most of the little development we still enjoy today as a nation.

"I am not discarding other candidates, but Atiku by all ramifications is the most qualified and fitting for Nigeria considering the time we live in. He is the man with the tenacity to tackle the myriad of problems in this country and steer Nigeria away from the mucky waters.

"I have been silent for a while and have taken time to observe the state of the nation, I am certain that if we must get it right, Atiku is our best bet as a people. We must do away with tribal and religious sentiments and face the reality of the existential threat facing Nigeria.

"With the instability eating up Nigeria from fuel scarcity to money scarcity, it is clear that if Nigeria is handed over to just any person, they will be overwhelmed by the situation that may escalate to chaos. But with Atiku in charge, Nigeria will speedily recover", he insisted.

Meanwhile, the electoral body, INEC, has expressed worry that due to the prevailing fuel and fund scarcity experienced in the country today, the election scheduled for 25th February and 11th March may be affected. Another concern is the danger of insecurity in many parts of the country. That notwithstanding, Nigerians are optimistic that a new nation will emerge after 25th February 2023., Insha Allah (God Willing)

Foreign Affairs / Congratulations On Your Successful Election As Uk Prime Minister by NAPC1(m): 6:46am On Oct 25, 2022
His Excellency,
Rishi Sunak,
Prime Minister, United Kingdom.

In the history of political leadership, today marks another milestone of respect for liberal democracy as the former Chief Secretary to the Treasury, an Idian born Uk politician emerged winner under the platform of Conservatives Party to be elected the Uk Prime Minister. In the face a layman, it was normal in power tussle but politically, it was not an easier battle to conquer which in the end, victory belongs to the entire people of great Britain for their show of solidarity. Sunak performed wonderfully to have defeated his rival who could not secure the support of 100 colleagues.

Your commendable leadership dispositions without any iota of doubts earned you this highly respected office in the world 's political hierarchy. As a man of political commitment and seasoned exprience in national and international governance, i vehemently believe that your new office would vibrantly create values in sustaining global peace and security. Sunak the extent i know him is equipped with the needed life transformation qualities to move humanity forward.

As you get commissioned to function in this direction as the overall leader of the British government, i pray that God will guide your path to feasibly impact not only the people of the United Kingdom but the entire intl communities through intercontinental trade partnership, human capital development, foreign policies alignment, peace truce in votatile war torn zones and finally enthrenchment of security of lives and properties. We are looking up to your government and other affilated world security stakeholders to stem the tide of continued military crisis between Russia and Ukraine so as to achieve global peace and security.

Once more, receive my hands of congratulations as you work to advance the world modern democracy.

Thanks.

Politics / 2023 Election: Why We Support Atiku Abubakar by NAPC1(m): 11:11pm On Jun 11, 2022
The rising waves of criticsm thriving against our choice of supporting Atiku Abubakar Presidential ambition is here considered a misconception by the general public who do not understand the positions of things regarding the present political behaviour of Igbo nation. PDP Coalition as a socio political group has been a properly coordinated platform built on integrity and excellence. As an established body, we never take sides with mischief, calumny and impunity and those who always read our publications should be able to know that it often calls a "spade a spade". PDP Coalition family under the leadership of Chief Dr Emeka Kalu detests unrealistic heap of praises on god fatherism in order to get favour rather it makes sure that the truth is voiced and defended despite how hard it may hit the other side of the world. On this defined philosophy was PDP Coalition formed, trained, orientated and organized to operate so that wrongs could be possibly corrected leading to pathways to a new Nigeria.

Even before the conduct of PDP National Covention held in October 2021 that produced the leadership of Dr. Iyorcha Ayu, this platofrm had been clamouring for Nigeria President of Igbo extraction simply because it is deserving that South East produces the next President of Nigeria. We have spent both time and money to host a national debate on the need to cede power to the Southeast but it all seemed that high ranking Igbo politicians were busy truncating the agenda for their own selfish interest. It is honestly deserving knowing full well that Igbos have been actively instrumental to the ideas and efforts galvanized for the economic improvement of this Country because dating back to the inception of Federal Presidential system, no indigineous citizen of the said Igbo nationality had been given an opportunity to preside over the Country's affairs. Today, we are talking about zoning the Presidential slot to South East but the same stakeholders from the South East geo political zone clandestinely work against themselves for piece meal gifts. Promient party personalities who were expected to be drivers of Igbo Presidency after getting their expression of interest forms dropped their intention and began rallying support for their Northern collegue in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly. In Nigeria political setting, to assemble and unite under one formidable force to achieve set goals is drastically the major challenge Igbos are facing. Major stakeholders from both the ruling and frontline opposition parties clamour for consideration of South East to produce the next President in the morning but at dusk take peanut bribes from their masters which ironically defines the fact that their drives for rotation of power is a deceptive and mishievous one.

In the face of these bad eggs polluting the entire agitation, PDP Coalition decided to make a full and unpretentious reversal of thought and plans towards supporting the 2023 Presidential ambitions of Atiku Abubakar. Mr. Peter Obi of labour Party is competent with all sense of good plans to revive Nigeria from her present economic woes but his challenge is lack of political force in South East to bring his visions to reality. Politics is a game of numbers and South Eastern youths find it hard to participate politically through voting rather they remain sentimental complaining of marginalization without getting the lawfully certified weapons with which to change the narratives during elections. These are the bottlenecks facing Obi's Presidential ambition. Atiku remains dogged even in the midst of fluttering hurricanes tending to scatter his trunk - built ark. These exceptional qualities are what define a die hard adventurer or purposeful leader who logs in towards acheiveing fulfilment of destiny. Therefore, PDP Coalition in her discretion and capacity is solidily behind Atiku Abubakar whom she trusts to be exprienced, focused and building plans on how best to redeem Nigeria from economic shambles.

PDP Coalition cannot fold hands and watch another wrong person voted into Aso Rock while Nigeria continues to suffer. Atiku is better off for the job considering his level of expriences and determination to improve and restructure Nigeria. We believe in feasibility and competence especially when circumstances demand so. We are equity based and fairness - oriented socio political platform established to defend and advocate for accountability and justice. If we are taking sides or supporting Atiku out of parochial interest, we would not have ever published or mobilized for Igbo Presidency in the first place. Our U-Turn from projecting Southeast Presidency was predicated on the fact that Mr. Obi chances are complicated due to poor number of voters in his region and the prevailing political state of things in South East. There is no need pretending or beating about the bush rather we speak up the reality capable of yielding the expected results knowing full well that posterity will judge us if we fail to support a candidate capable of making Nigeria better.

Politics / Gov. Nyeso Wike Is Best Bet As Atiku's Running Mate by NAPC1(m): 6:50am On Jun 09, 2022
The National Chairman,
People's Democratic Party,
Wadata Plaza
Abuja.

We write to recommend the consideration and approval of Gov Nyeso Wike of Rivers State as the Presidential running mate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Gov Wike got the second position in the recently conducted PDP Presidential primaries and his strength and capacity would in no small measure pave ways for PDP to win massively in the South South geo political zone. He is such a leader capable of galvanizing block votes for the party considering the degree of Support and popularity he enjoys from the referred zone including South East.

PDP requires to get a running mate that commands greater portions of political relevance in order to achieve the desired end of winning 2023 Presidential election. The All Progressive Congress has raised Bola Tinubu's hands as her Presidential flag bearer following the conduct of the party primaries and for PDP to be able to assemble votes and make a headway, a strong and capacity running mate has to be considered. As we all know ,Gov. Wike is one of the committed leaders that have truly worked and nursed the party to this peak and his being chosen to fly the flag with Atiku Abubakar will give the party an edge of emerging victorious in 2023.

What paves way for a party to win elections is the level of commitment the party leaders make in convincing and reaching out to Nigerians on manfestoes and visions for the nation. As an ardent and purposeful leader, Gov. Wike's choice will create wider chances of victory possibilities for the party. 2023 General elections calls for proper and painstaking handlings of things to avoid PDP making a wrong choice and then stands the risk of loosing to APC. Ahmed Bola Tinubu is a force in the West and for this reason, PDP needs a counter force to confront him in winning the heart of the people to vote for the party. It is a known fact that when the right choice is made in any contest, chances of emerging the winner thrive. From the points made so far, it is obvious that our party must plan things well in order to get the expected result.

With Nyeso Wike as Atiku's running mate, there is every likelihood that PDP will emerge the winner of 2023 Presidential election to the glory of God and the entire members of the party.

Presidential Candidate,
People's Democratic Party.

I write with heart full of joy to congratulate you on your landmark victory to have polled the highest number of votes in the People's Democratic Party Presidential primary election. Politics / Total Commitment Towards Achieving A New Nigeria; A Clarion Call On Southeastern by NAPC1(m): 2:26pm On Mar 31, 2022
TOTAL COMMITMENT TOWARDS ACHIEVING A NEW NIGERIA; A CLARION CALL ON SOUTHEASTERN YOUTHS

I sieze this great opportunity to once more ring the awareness bells regarding the need for Igbo youths to actively get involved in this forthcoming general election by ensuring they get their voters cards to bring about the desired changes in the system. Southeastern youths are vibrant, perfoming and promising in all facets of endeavours but lack full participation in national politics which is the bedrock of satisfying a sense of belonging in a hetrogenous society like Nigeria. How do we expect transformation and revitalized economy without using our statutory power called "Voters Card" to actualize the dreams?

Igbos are the only tribe that can generate 99% votes in Southeast and the second highest voters in other five regions in the Country due to their numeric strength in those regions. In Lagos State, the yorubas are contesting with Igbos as per which region will be able to give the highest number of votes due to the population of Igbos living there. In Port harcourt city of Rivers State, Igbos almost control the greater population including Obio Akpor LGA which is the most populated council area in the State.

In Kano, Abuja, kaduna, etc Igbos are of larger numbers after the indigenous people of the land and if they can strive to get their voters cards as the mantle of power for change, the possibility of electing a Southeasterner the next President of Nigeria is highly realistic. We must not continue to sit on the fence while things are drastically getting worser. May Igbos be reminded that if they continue to relent doing the needful while other regions are busy augmenting and improving on their political potentialities, there is no way a Nigeria President of Igbo origin could be achieved. I wonder why we must allow nochalance and uncommitment to keep eroding our chances of clinching power at the centre.

All those retinues, fanta drinks and piece meal searchers who go about turning truth upside down should bury their heads in shame. Those who believe that zoning presidency is no ideal but advising PDP to focus on winning elections cannot read through the lines reality at the moment. Equity thrives where in a Country of three major ethnic enclaves, power is fairly rotated among them not where only two out of the three major language speaking groups occupy the seat of power at the centre leaving the other to be a spectator in the scheme of things. It is pertinent to note that the reason why we are not prospering politically is that our youths are not sensitive to detect their shortcomings and make amends. This shortcomings is no any other thing than failure to actively come out en mass to support and vote in elections.

Mr. Greg Peter Obi and Chief Senator Pius Anyim are two Igbo sons fully equipped, qualified and competent enough to transform Nigeria if one of them is given a chance to be elected Nigeria President. These are national leaders of proven character, integrity endowed with wealth of expriences needed in running a government of national unity and inclusiveness. I challenge Igbo Youths to rise andy unite for the realization of this massive agenda. Igbos are industrious, accomodating, kind hearted and detribalized that citizens from other parts of the country co exist with both in trades and other areas of life without any sense of tribalism, nepotism or segregation.

The time is NOW!
Lets get our PVCs and change the system.

Politics / Deeply Driving In The Nails Of Nigeria President Of Igbo Origin, Come 2023 by NAPC1(m): 11:27am On Mar 30, 2022
Nigeria is a soverign State with six geo political zones of which the other five component zones had previously had their ways as either the President or vice President except the southeast whose chances had suffered drawbacks and bottleneck due to lack of formidable forces to fight under one front. If serious care is not taken and this miscalculation is allowed to grow taproots in the annals of Nigeria political history, Igbo nation may stand the risk of being unable to produce the Number one person in charge of this Country in the next hundred years to come. Ethnic parochialism, prebendalistic tendencies and watom glutton for power have radically hampered the common sense of national integration, peace and equity which are made to be the platform on which government of national unity operates.

In the heat of this forthcoming general election in Nigeria, Ndi Igbo are prompted to take the bulls by the horns to ensure their unity as one voice is never thwarted by undesirable elements whose clandestine agenda is to scuttle the chances that could produce an Igbo man the next President of Nigeria. The Igbo political elite, renowned nationalists and infulential leaders of thought are summoned to generate a unity solidarity code of operations towards achieving President of Igbo origin in 2023.

Since return to civil rule in 1999, no South Easter has been saddled with the opportunity to be elected the next President not that there was no gifted persons in the region but as a result of the backward politics being played in Nigeria. Does it mean there is no qualified leaders, technocrats and idealists in Igbo land? Does it infer that we are in a Country where others are privileged to rule while others are living at the mercy of some chosen few oligarchs who have lose their good sense of judgement about the sustenance of equity. Previously, this level of political utopianism happened in Canada where the people of quebec were denied equal opportunity in national leadership until they within the confines of the law staged a protest for separation from the mother soverign State. This development quickened the power handlers in the system to have created a window where the President of Canada was elected from the quebec ethnic nationality. Invariably, Nigeria is not an exception in this regard because we must never give up until our voices are given due considerations and compliance.

In the long run, this pressing situation at hands demands the concerted attention of all and sundry despite party affliation or loyalty. All Igbo political leaders in PDP, APC and other political parties must strive to come together to stage this drives for emancipation. Our failure to initiate and form a united front beyond our individual interest will leave us with no option than to loose in the midst of the struggles. Let us drop personality conflict crisis, selfishness and a chase of piece meals by deeply getting oursleves anchored under one umbrella so as to achieve the desired results. We have to retrace our steps from imagination to reality in order to realize this hardcore ambition where an Igboman can be a chance to be elected the next man in charge of Aso Rock. The reality at this juncture calls for our assmbling under one entity by skipping party interest and fight for our common course of sponsoring and supporting a President of national unity whose extraction is Igbo because time is due for this to be done. Time for Change is now and there is no going back in this wide range campaign for equity and change of system in the body politics of this great Country.

Politics / Group Urges Delegates To Support And Vote Atiku Abubakar by NAPC1(m): 3:42pm On Mar 29, 2022
The Atiku Abubakar Independent Volunteer Movement has called on delegates and party faithfuls to rally behind the former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the forthcoming PDP Presidential Primaries.

Briefing newsmen in FCT, Abuja, The group National Coordinator, Atinshola Oludare noted that Atiku, being a detribalised leader would relate equitably with Nigerians and get Nigeria working again.

“Atiku loves Nigeria and he shows it in his own little way”. His policy includes mentoring of several youths nationwide, doling out scholarships especially to the less privileged, empowering widows and giving hope to the hopeless.”

Atinshola, however, said they are campaigning for the transformation of the Nigerian economy and creation of jobs, having in mind that the former Vice President had created jobs through his multi-billion investments across the country.

His words: “Atiku Abubakar is the best Nigerian political leader from northern Nigeria, he is detribalised, a business magnet, a philanthropist and employee of labour, a good bridge builder who bridges gap between tribes, and modest in religion. He relates equitably with Nigerians in business and in politics without greed or sentiments.

His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a true democrat who once sacrificed his position to save our democracy. He is a honest politician who plays by the rule and is always on the side of truth and the constitution.

Hence Atiku Abubakar Independent Volunteer Movement across the thirty six states and the FCT are asking the leadership, delegates and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to support the candidacy of Atiku Abubakar to ensure he emerges as the Standard bearer of the party for 2023 presidential election.

“We wish to appeal to PDP governors, present and past party leaders, stakeholders and members of the party, and indeed all well-meaning Nigerians, to support the candidacy of His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, to ensure that he emerges as the Standard Bearer of the PDP for the 2023 presidential election.

“He said the APC led federal government has failed in stabilizing the nation’s economy which has resulted in a historic job lose and means of livelihood insisting that President Buhari does not even have a road map of development for the country. We wish to use this opportunity to call on Nigerians, both home and in diaspora, to vehemently reject President Muhammadu Buhari and his Party, the APC in Nigeria in all future elections,” Atinshola, added

Politics / Voter's Card: A Political Power Neutralizer, South East Region, Be Proactive by NAPC1(m): 9:17am On Mar 24, 2022
As cutlass is a tool with which a farmer clears his farmland in preparation for cultivation, so is voters card as a combative implement with whch unperforming governments are removed from seat. Valid voters card is a resounding power of its own that actionably changes powers. Akin to what preachers demonstrates on pulpits where they usually exclaim power must change hands where power is being contested between two warring factions.Voting in elections is beyond a forcast rather it is a reality sure to count accroding to voting strength.

When you vote in an election, you have contributed to either change the bad system of leadership prevalent in the society or naively work to perpertuate injustice through your mantle called "Voters card". The focal point of my clarion calls and advocacy is made to sensitize South Easterners on the need why they should quickly come out enmass to get their voters cards to vote the right party into power in 2023. The population of South Easters is wonderful but most of our youths hardly participate in active politcs letalone applying to get qualified to vote and be voted for.

Without coming out to maximumly vote the right party into office, the expected change and transformation being gunned for will never matrialize. People of South East should wake from slumberland by embracing compactibility, unity of purpose and indivisible voice of oneness.

Active participation is politcs by a group of ethnic nationality who are marginalized like Igbos using one mind, one voice and solidarity drives is one major powerful tool of realizing their ambitions. He who desires changes must never relent in putting every efforts at his disposal to ensure he gets it. There is no room for corwardice simply because the seat of power at the centre is not the birthright of any ethnic bloc.

Politics / Kalu: 2023 General Elections And The Echo Trumpet Of Equity, Balanced Leadership by NAPC1(m): 6:49pm On Mar 14, 2022
Democracy as eminently held, defined and intepreted is seen as government of the people, by the people and for the people while equity is the sustsining nutrirents through which democracy survives. Political Power tussles never contribute to economic advancement of any nation rather it carelessly grows the seed of unhealthy rivalry, ethnic acrimony and marginalization which is the bane of our present day Nigeria. We cannot expect effective national leadership to thrive in the absence of equity and fairplay. Political power shift, transparency and equity should be seen as a bond that must never be broken if Nigeria is to achieve excellence in development politics and national unity.

A case study of what is trending in Abia State where a sect of mudslingers and distortionists are bent on scuttling the long sustained peace in the land by insisting that power remains in their communal clan inconsiderate of the feelings of the greater population of Abia people. Those who are ready to trample on equity must be conscious of the fact that in the near future, it will surely bomerang. Equity is like a seedling, it must be sown on a richly watered soil to enable it sprout, germinate and yield fruits. Equity is being nursed like a baby and that is why carefulness is required to avoid endangering its germination, survival and maturity. Chief Senator T. A Orji in his discretion as the former Governor of Abia State made a credible statement on the need for governorship power to return to Abia North but his words were not only attacked but were also rebuffed with strong resistance by haters of equity and justice. This is why it is dangerous to truncate the components of equity in our human society and it calls that men be guided in their words and actions.

Akin to what is happening in the national level where people from Igbo nation had never produced the Excecutive President of Nigeria since the birth of republicanism in 1963. It is unfair that Presidential seat had been rotating within some ethinic blocs without considerations for Igbo ethnic group rather these ethnic nationalities would work to mischievously pitch Igbos against themselves in order to divide and destablize their unified force of working in one accord to achieve victory. This ploy sheepishly worked in 1998 when Senator Jim Nwaobodo was pitched against Late Dr Alex Ekwueme who had already secured PDP nomination to contest Presidential election in 1999 and Igbo lost the ticket. As it were not enough, in preparation for 2011 Presidential elections, this same schemes were deployed to deny Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan nomination to run for the number one seat in the Country using collusion of inter party leadership wranglings before the then National Chairman of party was axed by a Court Order to vacate office.

All these political antics are carefully designed to deny Igbo man an opportunity to be elected the President of Nigeria. It calls for soberiety and consciousness on the part of Igbo Political leaders despite party affilliation to unite and fight a common course. Nigeria belongs to all of us and Ndigbo should not be treated the wrong ways. Agitations of all sorts cropping up in the Country today have their traces to the level of marginalization suffered under the hands of leaders from other ethnic segments. If Nigeria is allowed to be governed by some ethnic groups without giving others a chance among other things shows that we are not together as one Nigeria and it is highly dangerous to allow selfishness, ethnic gingoism and tribal sentiment to disrupt our unity.

Igbo leaders of thought, Party stakeholders be it PDP or APC and all detribalized Nigerians in the diaspora are called to rise and support an Igbo man to be elected the next President of Nigeria. This is an ethnic nationality housing great number of philosophers, intellectual personalities, rationalists and competent leaders that when given an opportunity to become the President would in no small measures transforms Nigeria into a befitting paradise on earth. Igbos are industrious people who sustain over 60% of the revenue generating capacity of the Country, so why would'nt they be given an opportunity in national leadership control?

On this serious note Equity is expected to be planted in the Nigeria political soil to enable the yields of accelerated development, economic productivity, balanced federalism and impactful youths empowerment manifest. Nobody, clan or language speaking sect has monopoly of Aso Rock seat and the sooner we begin to activate these realities, the better and speedy we grow as one Nigeria. Ndi Igbo must buckle their clothings, at all costs get prepared to speak and defend the truth to ensure they are not denied what is rightfully theirs. It amounts to open stabbing on equity if Igbo man is not provided with a chance to be elected the next President of Nigeria. Truth is a motion that no gauge would be able to regulate and on the platform of Equity we firmly stand.

Nairaland / General / Tears Of Joy As Etigwe Uwa Gives Succor To Abia Widows by NAPC1(m): 1:19pm On Feb 17, 2022
It was tears of joy yesterday at Asaga Ohafia as a philanthropist, and legal luminary, Mr. Etigwe Uwa (Senior Advocate of Nigeria), distributed food items and wrappers to widows and the indigent ones in the community.

The items included hundreds of pieces of wrappers, bags of rice, and several cartons of Indomie noodles among others.

Distributing the items to the beneficiaries on behalf of the legal luminary, Mrs. Choice Oleka Kalu, said the gesture was borne out of Uwa's passion to better the lots of the down trodden particularly widows.

She said that Uwa decided to empathize with the windows and downtrodden in the community to give them a sense of belonging " in the spirit of Valentine season".

Meanwhile, the beneficiaries poured encomiums on the benefactor who they described as an uncommon philanthropist who has always used his "sweat to give succour to the poor".

They prayed God to pour more blessings on him for more impacful service to humanity.

The beneficiaries particularly prayed God to give him bigger platform to affect more lives.

Ezenyanyi Asaga, Chief Mrs Eyeh Kalu who spoke on behalf of the women thanked Uwa for the gesture, and assured him of the continued prayers of Ohafia women for divine sustenance and for more open doors.

In a brief remark, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Ohafia , Mr Kalu Nwoke, described Uwa as "a man with overflowing milk of human kindness who has rekindled the home of many indigent folks".

He solicited the prayers of the women for the success of the governorship ambition of the legal icon who he said, would re-invent Abia if given the opportunity as governor.

Nairaland / General / Obi Cubana's Invitation By The NDLEA, An Ethnic Harrassment On Igbos ~ Kalu by NAPC1(m): 9:34am On Jan 15, 2022
Our attention has been drawn to the news thrilling all social media platforms on the invitation of Chairman of Cubana Group of Companies, Obi Iyiegbu, by the Abuja Headquarters of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on the ground of unfounded and baseless drug dealings allegation. Recall that in November, 2021, this socialite and hotel magnate was invited
by EFCC on trumped up and faceless allegations, just to let him know that it is a sacrilege for an Igbo man to be successful. Today, we are talking about grilling the same person for 4hours in NDLEA office for interrogations, harrasment and blackmails.

What marvels us each time funny happenings of this nature take place is whether Anti graft agencies are established specifically to witchhunt every successful Igbo man. This is a philantropist and young employer of labour who has been providing jobs for numerous Nigerians in different capacities. A detribalized industrialist with great passion for youths development and independence.

From the reports gathered on published news, we come to realize that NDLEA is predicating her suspcion that Obi Cubana received huge foreign currency transfers from three convicted drug dealers in Malaysia, Nigeria and India respectively. Here, we ask, when someone is convicted of a drug crime, does such conviction automatically deny him or her the lawful right of legitimately dealing in other legal transactions with people across the world? If those three drug convicts as alleged NDLEA paid money into Cubana s account, does it logically imply that Obi Cubana is their crime accomplice? In the eyes of the law, what makes a transaction illegal is when the subject, context and contents of a transaction are found to have contravened a given law and are proved beyond reasonable doubts within the required standard. Only on this ground could an act be termed a crime.

Moreover, when someone is tried and convicted of a crime by a court of competent jurisdiction, operating banks in the domain Country are placed on notice, therefore how come did the same bank having known that those persons are crime convicts allowed them to have made monetary transfers of such magnitude and even facilitated the said transactions to reach their destinations? All were mere oral and mouthly allegations without evidences to prove Cubana's true involvement in the said crimes. It is a pity that Igbos are on daily basis used as exprimental tools by the Nigerian anti graft agencies. There are clear and provable cases of financial fraud and funds diversions on the neck of most past governors from other parts of the country but only people from Igbo nation are being hijacked, blackmailed and ridiculed.

Nigeria for over 10 years has become a hotbed of terrorism and criminalities with published names of persons as sponsors through which logistics are given to those terror groups but none of them has ever been invited by the Security agencies for ordinary interrogations. UAE few months ago published names of persons and companies used in running terrorism in the world and about 12 Nigerian citizens were mentioned but the government to the surprise of watching Nigerians kept mute and sat on the fence till date but once any successful Igbo man begins to extend help and freewill donations to the people, that instantly rises the nerves of the government and plans would be in the pipelines to bring him down. What an acidic treatment!

This is very unfair in a country that canvasses oneness and unity. Part of the ethnic agitations was caused by this level of marginalization, intimidation and unhealthy jealousy. It reads meaning in the consciousness of Igbos that they are not fairly treated and it is industrialists from Igbo land that generate 80 percent of labour employment in the country today. So, why the acrimony and injustice against their people?

Global Initiatives For Good Governance unequivocally reiterates that the ways and manners Igbos are treated in this Country should stop. It is anti progressive and does not show good sense of togetherness as people of one entity called Nigeria. We do not defend, aid or abet crimes nor do we advocate that criminals should be pampered simply because they are Igbos rather our concern is that when it comes to crime fighting, let sentiment and pretentious ethnic favourtism be buried in favour of justice for all not minding whose ox is being gorged. Global Initatives will not hesitate to use whatever are within the ambits of the law to defend any Igbo man or persons from other tribes of the country when their fundamental rights are being scorned, hurt and infringed upon.

Politics / YEYE News Blackmailing Dr Nkem Okeke, The Deputy Governor Of Anambra State by NAPC1(m): 7:10pm On Nov 12, 2021
YEYE News Blackmailing Dr Nkem OKeke, The Deputy Governor Of Anambra State on Andy Uba Guber Election Loss.

No wonder people call unserious things “ yeye” . Once mischief makers whose instincts are bent on blackmail mean business, they go ahead in tailoring some lies, they would go to the extent of making it public to enable people of fragile mindset buy into them and begin to go around spreading falsehood. That is the degree to which runour mongers, rabble rousers and mischievous elements could go in their business of causing unnecessary hostility against an innocent person.

The baseless, fact bereft, sick and falsely polluted news making rounds social media accusing Dr Nkem OKeke to have on separate occasions received 150 000 and 300 000 dollars from Chief Andy Uba to aid his victory in the recently concluded Anambra State governorship election is not only a act of wickedness but one whose aim was to ruin the integrity of a man whose political prominence cannot be jeopardized by wore mongers and evil workers. Dr Nkem Okeke is a man of integrity and by the virtue of his standing would never engage himself in this sort of illegitimate acts as opined by the traducers of falsehood. It makes mockery of a decent society when issues are tailored and twisted in order to blackmail senior citizens of a decent society.

To make it abundantly clearer, Dr Nkem Okeke didn’t receive any token from Chief Andy Uba in order to facilitate the latters political ambitions nor did he drag Dr Okeke to Okija Shrine for spiritual judgment.

Be that as it may, if actually Andy Uba gave the same purported amount of money to Dr Okeke, would an educated and respected citizen like Chief Andy prefer the court of shrine to an established government regulatory institution which is the right place in law to recover debts? That goes deeper to confirm how fake and yeye the entire story was.

Global Initiatives for Good Governance( GIGG) is hereby telling the general public to disregard the careless ranting and dust off the wrong impression created by idle gossips. We also vehemently warn those behind this irrational publications to desist from further peddling ills against a reputed political personality, Dr Okeke or else a full weight of legal action will be launched to counter them. This is pure calculated outburst against whom God has chosen to bless and no amount of mischiefs and shameless rascality can stop the political promotion of the Deputy Governor in Nigeria and internationally. Above all, yeye stories never hold any water and will continue to be full of nothingness ad infinitum.

Politics / 2023 Presidency: Group Drums Support For Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike by NAPC1(m): 2:12pm On Nov 11, 2021
A group under the aegis of Grassroot Development Initiative (GDI), South-East zone, has expressed support for Barr. Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, to become the next president of the country.

The group called Wike the best presidential material in 2023 prevailing on the People's Democratic Party (PDP), to commence a process of adopting him as the sole candidate of the party.

The group in a statement signed by its SouthEast Coordinator; Chief Dr. Sam Anya, said at this point, only a result orientated leader like Governor Wike can stabilise the nation for growth and development.

“Governor Wike's achievements, patriotism and credibility demonstrates the settled resolve of Nigerians to support him succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

"It is on record that Governor Wike as a Minister of State for Education initiated the Almajiri Education Programme, Special Schools for Girls, Special Vocational Schools for South-South/South East, Free Textbooks distribution, Construction of Electronic Libraries in Federal Unity Colleges, Phased Rehabilitation of Federal Unity Colleges, Training of basic education teachers, 3 trillion intervention for public universities, Construction of micro-laboratories in Federal Colleges of Education, Equipping of workshops of Federal Science and Technical Colleges, Establishment of four new Federal Polytechnics. In Rivers State, his achievements are there for all to see. All these dividends of democracy clearly indicate that he is an achiever.

According to Anya, who is also the Abia State Coordinator of the group, "Wike is a Nationalist who truly believes in the peace, unity and progress of Nigeria and has clearly demonstrated this in his uncompromising stance against separatist agitations and His liberal posture as demonstrated during the sokoto fire inferno.

"We are totally convinced that what Nigeria needs right now is a courageous and vibrant leader who is capable of managing a complex nation like Nigeria. That resourceful manager is governor Wike; he has proven his capacity and dexterity on numerous occasions.

"He is a result-oriented leader with a proven track record that can sustain and consolidate the gains recorded by the nation.

“Wike is the best bet for the PDP in 2023. He is a presidential material with experience as a lawyer, council chairman, former minister and governor," the group said.

Politics / Chief Kalu Ijomah Ukeh Urges Investment In Education To Tackle Insecurity by NAPC1(m): 4:59pm On Oct 21, 2021
Abia born philanthropist, Chief Kalu Ijoma Ukeh has called for massive investment in youth education and development as a way of tackling insecurity in the country.

Ukeh stated this at a media chat on Wednesday night, explaining that such investment will provide opportunities for youths to be meaningfully engaged instead of indulging in violence and crime.

Ukeh, who was recently bestowed with "Integrity Man of the Year" by Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists (NACJ), said only sincere investment in youth development and education would help tackle the level of insecurity affecting Nigeria.

The Chief Executive Officer, Punkinosis Chemical Company, said; "Investment in education will provide the much-needed boost to the Nigerian economy. This is so because education equips our youths with essential skills they need in life.

“The skills acquired through learning provide our youths with more career and employment opportunities, enable them to be more effective in their jobs and compete with their counterparts in other parts of the world.

“Also, improved reasoning skills acquired through education helps employees to be more efficient and productive which in return help to boost GDP and improve the overall economy."

He urged corporate entities, wealthy individuals and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to key into this as it will help solve the problem of insecurity.

Politics / Mr. Greg Peter Obi Deserves Global Honour Not Blackmail ~ Chief Kalu by NAPC1(m): 10:07am On Oct 06, 2021
It is saddening, disheartening and blackmail- oriented the news making round the social media on the mischief advances of undesirable elements against the person and personality of Mr. Peter Obi. The ugly reports by Pandora papers alleging a man of national integrity like Mr. Peter Obi to have been insincere with his lines of investment to evade tax payments is a blatant falsehood and calumny geared towards staining his name because of 2023 general elections.

Mr. Obi whom the world cites his styles of leadership in world Bank and Anambra State government as worthy of emulations cannot be allowed to be blackmailed by political vultures and mudslingers who want to clinch power by all means. Global Initiatives For Good Governance (GIGG) unequivocally reiterates that those wore mongers and peddlers of mischief must bury their heads in shame for working to discredit a man whom God has favoured.

This is the extent traducers of witchhunts and falsehood could get to. Our position remains firm that the publications of Pandora Company are politically motivated, incited and calculatedly hatched to dent Obi 's image because of the high ranking respect and commendations he enjoys from the public. It stands to reason that Mr. Obi poses as a danger to those who think they can get to power through the back door knowing full well that none of them equates his degree of wisdom in social and political administration. There is no amount of rouble rousing and ponzi display that could succeed in ruining the image of His Excellency, Mr. Greg Peter Obi because his good antecedents speak for him.

For sincerity sake, four leaders of Mr. Obi's standing making and character nicety are enough to salvage Nigeria from darkness into an aura of light. He should be celebrated than being blackmailed. With God and his global supporters standing by him, Obi would continue to ride on the ladder of increase and excellence. Only a person of his nature and instinct can govern and transform Nigeria from sorrow to joy.

The one whom king has delights to honour like the biblical Mordecai is no any other person than Mr. Peter Obi. All his witch hunting Naaman would surely meet their Waterloo because no human palm fingers can cover the sun from rising. An illustrious son of the land is the rising sun of this country and Global Initiatives Crusaders are prepared to defend Mr. Greg Peter Obi within the full ambit of the law to ensure his human Rights and dignity are not cajoled, gagged or infringed upon. We encourage you to ride on Sir! The one whom the king delights to honour!
