Politics / We Must Reset Nigeria Now To Move Forward, Says Kalu by NAPC1(m): 1:54pm On Nov 28, 2020
The clarion call to collectively get Nigeria working again is such that we must all unite as a people to ensure that we bring Nigeria back on the path of progress through our genuine actions as Patriots.

The present state of the nation is so precarious that we must look within ourselves to find a lasting solution to our problems because there’s no human problem that doesn’t have solutions. The only difference is the resolve to solve those problems or allow them to linger and take more toll on us. Let us for once own up to the fact that we have not fared well so far as a nation and must take practical action to change the narrative for the sake of posterity.

The Reset Nigeria Group as a pressure group with mandate to finding practical solutions to our problems is poised to work out modalities to get Nigeria working again by harnessing the collective resolve of many yearning for the right atmosphere to get Nigeria to its very best. This is a resolve that requires the tenacity of people with love for fatherland, we must be that people.

Chief Dr Emeka kalu as member of RESET NIGERIA GROUP from Southeast have maintained his position that one of the first solution to our myriad of problems is to unite Nigeria as one indivisible entity and not on ethnic, religious and political lines. These have been our bane as a people.

“I am calling on Nigerians to understand the inevitability of scouting for a person that can bring the country together on the path of good governance and accountability because we are so much divided at the moment. It is very obvious now that the ethnic and religious cards have not helped us as a nation but only helped few people to feed fat at the expense of the masses. This is a precedence that should worry every patriotic Nigerian and motivate them to join the cause to RESET NIGERIA for the good of all.

Speaking in a press conference on Thursday, Chief Kalu said that it is important we insist on a person that has that capacity to lead Nigeria, irrespective of where the individual is in terms of party affiliation. Nigeria must be driven by someone with ethical and moral principles that respect the Rule of Law to be able to make this a go.

“This group is open to Nigerians with like minds that wants to see the country we call ours move forward. This is another opportunity to register our solidarity for a progressive nation of our dream, we must all work hard to demand this by shunning all those sentiments that had so much brought us down on our knees all these while.

Politics / Our Continued Peace Is Sacrosanct, The Solution Lies Within Us - Anyim by NAPC1(m): 2:44pm On Nov 25, 2020
As a leader in the Nigeria political space, I have come to understand that whatever the future hold for us, it is within our power to insist on having a viable and progressive nation that can guarantee a good future for us and generations unborn.

I am of very strong conviction that any challenge being faced by Nigeria today is not beyond natural solution no matter how grieve they seem.

It is this singular optimism that has made it sacred that we must uphold our pride as a nation, live optimistic and hunger for solutions to those shortcomings that makes us humans.

At this material time in the history of Nigeria, it has become imperative that we must look inwards to find answers to our questions within ourselves.

Our Continued Peace is sacrosanct, progress and development shall be its rewards.

Politics / The Rambunctious Brouhaha Called Igbo Presidency; A Misplaced Priority? by NAPC1(m): 2:23pm On Nov 24, 2020
The arguments for or against Igbo Presidency has been such that no Nigerian can feign ignorance or deny the import, albeit, the continued unity and possible existence of Nigeria as a nation which many pundits have reasons to believe that Nigeria is sitting on keg of a gun powder because of the way this sensitive issue have been handled all along and if nothing is done about it, may not last for much longer.

The topic is so complex and complicated that one cannot just delve into all aspects thereof, but I will try as much as possible to stay on the course of the question of the much discussed topic of "Igbo Presidency", I therefore crave your indulgence to be patient and read to comprehend this school of thought, the ideas driving it, and the inevitability thereof, as the panacea of a United Nigeria.

The term "rambunctious" as used in this context is tilted towards the two conditions the word can represent, either "negative" or "positive", but in this case, both can righting be said to be in parallel to the argument either against or in favour of this quest for "Igbo Presidency" in Nigeria after over 60 years of independence and 30 years of a bad civil war that almost ended Nigeria.

The quest for Igbo Presidency is a direct product of marginalization, disenfranchisement, and lack of respect for Federal Character in the administration of a multi-ethnic union like Nigeria. Other attendant aftermath of this lopsided and systemic twist includes the much heated quest for self determination, referendum through plebiscite, restructuring and incessant call for total balkanization of Nigeria. Therefore this realities cannot be overlooked or wished away as they have come to stay with us.

Then question then becomes: Is this call a misplaced priority?

To address this question, I must foremost xray what the problem had been and juxtapose how Igbo Presidency might not be the solution to the Nigeria question. Then again, I'll crave your indulgence of patience.

According to history, Nnamdi Azikiwe was one of the champions of an independent Nigeria and he became the first President of Nigeria, after them, we have had other leaders who played one role or the other to get Nigeria to wherever we found ourselves now, but on a more secondary position. But the fact remains that no Igbo after Zik had been given the chance again because somehow, many people from the Northern part are still living with the mindset that the Nigeria Civil war is not over and so Igbos must never be trusted for attempting to break out of Nigeria and must be made to continue to pay the ultimate price of a united Nigeria. But these school of thought forget that the generation being punished now were not privy to what happened between 1967-70 which makes it a more dangerous keg of gun powder as witnessed in the suppressed EndSARS protests that rocked Nigeria.

As a matter of priority, to avoid sounding as if the call for Igbo Presidency is misplaced. We must begin to look inwards to ask pertinent questions like trying to know why the status had been set against the Igbos in the first place, what informed it, why are other tribes apprehensive of this idea and what can be done to douse this apprehension to pave way for a calm and collected agreement for a paradigm shift to exploit other possibilities available to us as Nigerians.

We watched with trepidation when Major General Muhammadu Buhari fought tooth and nail for Hausa Presidency, he got it in 2015 and created the 97% to 5% philosophy. But to the chagrin of the both percenters, the suffering and maladministration is with equal measure. Therefore I am not an advocate of Igbo Presidency but a supporter of "Nigerian President of Igbo extraction".

My position is that notwithstanding the economic disadvantage of the Igbo race in Nigeria occasioned by obnoxious policies aimed at strangulation, they have proved to be innovators and good administrators, creating survival out of nothing. The Hausas has proved to be knowledgeable in politics while the Yourbas are rooted in academic. A situation where management harnesses politics that is exported by intellectualism, we will have a progressive nation unlike the present setting where only the North are happily running everybody aground.

I am a supporter of "Nigerian President of Igbo extraction" because a lot of solution to Nigeria problems lies within it. We don't need an Igbo President that may end up further dividing Nigeria like Buhari.

We must set the priorities right by identifying the sickness of Nigeria and applying every possible options, including but not limited to producing "Nigerian President of Igbo extraction". That way, we would've solved the problem of agitation and call for balkanization among other simple challenges we are faced as a Nation.

The problem of Nigeria is never the masses, it is never the question of Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba. Our problem is the reality of elitist group of people that have continued to devide the masses along these fault line to continue to hold them in perpetuity because only by so doing will they be able to continue exploiting them for their pleasure and betterment of their generations.

Nigeria President of Igbo extraction is the priority now. The South East must be allowed to lead to keep the unity of Nigeria.

Comr Amos Kalu writes from Abuja, Nigeria.

Politics / Governor Umahi Is A Saboteur, His Defection Can’t Weaken PDP Says Kalu by NAPC1(m): 11:30am On Nov 19, 2020
.....Says Ebonyi, South-East still a PDP Stronghold

A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and National Coordinator of PDPCOALITION, Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu has urged stakeholders and members of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) not to be jittery over the defection of the Governor of Ebonyi State and Chairman of the Southeast Governors Forum, Engr. Dave Nweze Umahi from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Party (APC).

Kalu, stated this through a solidarity statement signed by him urging members of the party not to be bothered by the defection of Governor Umahi, stressing that Umahi’s action cannot weaken PDP in Ebonyi State and South-East in general.

According to the former guber aspirant, the defection does not change PDP narrative in the state and the southeast saying PDP as a party is like a religion with large fellowship across the state and southeast in general.

Kalu advised PDP faithfuls not to be swayed by political persuasions assuring that Umahi’s defection was a good riddance to bad rubbish and that his defection would not derail the Igbos from opposing the failed APC led government.

Kalu called on Nigerians to emulate civilised climes where people are identified with Party ideology irrespective of the party in power.

He noted with concern that cross carpeting has become prominent in the Nigerian political scene because people have refused to imbibe healthy political ideologies and culture but prefer to use Political Parties as platforms to gain political power.

“In developed democracies people are inclined to Party ideologies and platforms, Democrats or Republicans. Even in some African Countries, you hardly see people jumping from one Party to another for selfish interest.

“I see the development as cheap political blackmail where a person chooses to dent his Party which has brought him to limelight in order to gain acceptance in another Party”, Kalu stated.

Kalu further stated that Governor Umahi was an APC member in spirit even when he was in PDP stating that Umahi was a known traitor and saboteur.

“Governor Umahi prior to his formal announcement was a member of the APC in spirit. He cannot claim to be leaving PDP now because he’s a known APC member and Buhari’s boy.”

“Umahi worked openly for the APC and Buhari in 2019 and he cannot deny it. Umahi as a PDP member refused to campaign for our presidential candidate in the 2019 general election; he initially wanted to use the decision of choosing Peter Obi as PDP Vice Presidential candidate as an excuse.”

Politics / Umahi Is Greedy, His Defection Will End In Shame And Disappointments Says Kalu by NAPC1(m): 10:40am On Nov 18, 2020
The National Coordinator of People’s Democratic Party Coalition, Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu has stated that the defection of Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) will end in shame and disappointment for him and his political career.

The PDP chieftain who reacted to the development in a statement issued on Wednesday, said that Umahi will be left in tears full of regrets over his presidential ambition because President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC will never hand over power to the southeast.

Reacting further, Kalu described Umahi’s move as greedy and shameful after serving the PDP as a Chapter Chairman, Deputy Governor for 8 years and Governor for 8 years but noted however that Umahi would only end up regretting his actions.

He said; “Governor Umahi benefited immensely from the PDP as the State Chairman of Ebonyi PDP (2003 to 2007); deputy governor of Ebonyi state (2007 to 2015) and two term governor of Ebonyi (2015 till date), all elected on the platform of the PDP. Having benefited these juicy positions from the PDP, it’s only greed and selfishness that will make such person to betray the party.”

“APC won’t give him more than a Senatorial ticket and also hide his corruption file. He will end up regretting his action because it’ll end in disappointment and shame. Buhari and APC will not give APC ticket to the southeast in 2023.” he added.

Politics / PDP Chieftain, Kalu, Congratulates Biden, New US President-elect by NAPC1(m): 7:59am On Nov 08, 2020
Chief Emeka Charles Kalu, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, has congratulated the new American President-elect, Joe Biden, for emerging victorious in the just-concluded US presidential election.

Kalu, National Coordinator, Peoples Democratic Party Coalition (PDPCO), who phoned in his message as soon as the election of Biden was announced on Saturday evening, said that Americans had become tired of President Donald Trump.

He maintained that Trump lacked good qualities of leadership and talked down on Americans and people of other nations.

Kalu said: “Americans need a change. Trump talks flippantly. He does not censor his mouth. He is a racist, whose policies are not exciting as Americans wished.

“Trump has been demarketing America, pulling out of international organisations. He has no respect for the blacks and has nothing good for Africa, especially Nigeria.

“American will be better off with Biden on the saddle. I believe the new US President-elect will have better policies, and will treat blacks with respect.

“Nigeria needs to court Biden’s friendship as we need him now that Nigerian people are looking forward to a greater nation where things work.”

Politics / Kalu Advices The Youths On Next Step To Take After Making A Strong Statement by NAPC1(m): 12:13pm On Oct 27, 2020
The National Coordinator of People’s Democratic Party Coalition, PDPCO, Chief Dr Emeka Kalu, has commanded the Nigerian Youths for sending a strong signal across to the purveyors of our collective wealth, that it is no longer business as usual in running of the affairs of Nigeria in this era of political awakening and profound awareness. A message that has reverberated all over the world and down to the very foundation of Africa.

He expressed optimism that the youths have demonstrated readiness to take their destiny in their hands by showing the world their organizational and leadership abilities through organising and managing the most sophisticated protest in the history of the world through conduct, mobilization and financing of the movement without help of the politicians or government. That alone is a strong signal to the revolution that has taken place.

“I always warned that this country is going to explode anytime, but I never knew it was going to be this sudden. I always warned that there is limit to how much people can endure poverty, hardship and bad governance in a country so blessed and booming with natural resources. This result was not unexpected, yet it took us unawares and came with a costly price of human lives.

“The Youths should therefore not rest on their oars. This is time to restrategize and reposition to retire our octogenarian political class of non performance and cluelessness to give way to a better future where the youths will have control over their destinies, a new era of progress and national unity of purpose”.

Dr Kalu further adviced that the need to create more political awareness to the grassroots is of upmost importance at this stage to educate the rural inhabitants of the need to make their PVC their weapon. He regretted the wanton destruction witnessed when the Hoodlums who happened to be unenlightened youths allowed themselves to become tools in the hands of politicians to destabilize a peaceful and genuine protest, thereby giving the government the excuse to come in and hijack and suffocate the peaceful protest.

“It is regrettable as souls were lost, properties destroyed and more youths thrown into unemployment after their places of work with government were destroyed.

“It is time to educate them how not to show dissatisfaction in the future. It is time to start the search for the right youthful Nigerian entity that will fix the manance in the country, a young and positive minded individual with dexterity and who is detribalized, a great personality that will fix our nation.

“I am urging my teaming youth supporters and entire followers to stand together this time, haven gone through the painful hurdle of extra judicial killing in the country by the hands of our supposed leaders, and after making your case in the entire nation, we are willing to chart a new cause for this country. I have avowed that I will keep on pushing with my wealth of experience and teaming youth supporters to make this dream a reality.

The sacrifices of our blood will not be in vein. So help us God.

Politics / Dr Kalu Advises Youths To Stay Within The Scope Of Geneva Rules Of Protest by NAPC1(m): 1:38pm On Oct 23, 2020
Dr Kalu Advises Youths To Stay Within The Scope Of Geneva Rules Of Protest And Avoid Destruction (Video)

Chief Dr Emeka Charles Kalu has this morning called on the Nigeria Youths to desist from destruction of public infrastructures in the name of protest because this is like shooting one’s self in the leg trying to clean a gun.

In a short video message to the youths, Chief Kalu acknowledged the fact that the carelessness of the present government had infuriated and gravitated a civil matter that could’ve been handled with the greatest caution and maturity to save the nation the pain of another breakdown and the attendant loss of innocent lives, even as she is still trying to wiggle out of harsh effect of Coronavirus.

The best we can do to register our displeasure is to stay within the Periphery of rules of protest under the Geneva convention or the effort will amount to futility when it is classified as riot and unlawful.

Destroying government infrastructures built with our own money can only push us into harsher situations and greater unemployment as those people working in the establishments who are also youths will be put out of job too.

We are all pained by the bad system, we are aware that the youths have been shortchanged and schemed out of control over their destiny, they’ve made their voices loud and shooting any of them was a very bad and condemn-able approach to civil matter. But I am appealing to the youths to stay within the reasonable path of rules of protest.

I also call on the government to do the needful by addressing the situation, proffer solutions to placate the youths as stick and carrot approach will hardly work in the 21st century.

Politics / Alor Crisis: Ngige Was A Governor, A Senator, Does He Also Want To Be Igwe Alor? by NAPC1(m): 11:53am On Sep 08, 2020
Ngige was a governor, a senator and 2 time minister, does he also want to be Igwe Alor?

By Eneh Victor Chiagozie

Ngige is an elder statesman and a respected one. He should de-escalate the crisis in Alor and not to fuel it.

Igwe Mac-Anthony Elibe Okonkwo was suspended for a year by the state govt. His attempt to armtwist the governor to convert the suspension to outright sack is causing unnecessary tendon in the community.

The fact remains that HRH Elibe Okonkwo remains the Igwe of Alor. The suspension of the 12 Igwes didn’t meet the provisions of the Anambra state Traditional Rulers Law of 2007.

The Law in section 10 subsection 1 states that no Igwe can be suspended or certificate of recognition withdrawn except 2/3 majority of the members of the state assembly approves it.

This section was not met in suspending them. And the minister of Labour should have been aware of this constitutional breach and understand that Igwe Elibe remains.

Ngige should seek for peace in Alor, except he wants to become Igwe of Alor, then he should resign his ministerial position.

Politics / Kalu Extols President Buhari For Recent Attempts To Burst Corruption by NAPC1(m): 6:14pm On Jul 24, 2020
Kalu Extols President Buhari for recent attempts to burst corruption, encourages him to focus on NNPC

Recent exposures, intrigues and revelations of the monumental corruption going on under the administration of President Mohammadu Buhari has been discribed as novel by many Nigerians, vis-a-vis, as it has become a tool of ridicule and stain on the image of Nigeria as a nation both locally and internationally.

In a statement personally signed by the National Coordinator, People's Democratic Party Coalition, Chief Dr Emeka Kalu, has extoled PMB for the bold step being taken so far to probe certain departments and officers laden with responsibilities of administration and accountability, and therefore encourage that the exercise should not be an effort in futility like others before it.

Chief Kalu recalls that even before the Magu-Gate came into light, there had been issues of fraud in other Agencies, including the monumental revelation of alleged sales and diversion of over $2.5Billion proceed of Bonny Light Oil in China, as investigation by point blank news exposed, a case of which to date is still shrouded in secrecy and no explanation. He said it is long overdue that Nigerians should be intimated on exactly what happened since the persons pointed at are all still alive.

"We are demanding that the probe goes round as there should be no sacred cows in the issue of corruption. NNPC has operated like a secret club or personal business in the past 5 years with no accountability and knowledge of the people of Nigeria as to what goes up there in terms of income or expenditure. This is the time to let us in a little as a government fighting corruption.

"I am encouraging the National Assembly, especially, the Senate to, as a matter of responsibility to Nigerians, investigate these shameful and wicked fraudulent activities and bring the people up to speed with what has really happened with our collective wealth. We must not pay lips service to corruption fight when in actual sense corruption seems to be the one fighting us while we maintain criminal silence.

In the same vein, Chief Kalu said that with what has been exposed in NDDC, more probe needs to be done because it is clear that every department under Buhari has been operating in isolation without proper monitoring and accountability to the people.

"If this searchlight is beamed on NNPC, FIRS, and other agencies, Nigerians will understand that what we are witnessing is a child's play when it comes to real fraud and embezzlement of public fund because for NNPC not to be accountable to Nigerians for 5 years is a sign that the rot is too decayed and inglorious. Let the investigation into $2.5Billion Illegal Oil Sales be a sign of good will to the people, the only action that will prove to Nigerians that Buhari is in no way complicit to these illegalities as any thing short of that will amount to good radiance to bad rubbish.

"In the same vein, Nigerians are patiently waiting for the outcome of the probes that are already in place while expecting President Buhari to do the needful and save the face of his administration in corruption fight by ensuring that all this brouhaha do not end in window dressing exercise where Nigerians end up as usual with 'the more you look, the less you see' kind of nerves relaxer that has characterized corruption figft since 2015" he said.

"We are patiently waiting for the outcome EFCC and NDDC probe" he concluded.

Politics / Buhari Government Is Just A Hushpuppi Arrangement While Nigerians Are The Victim by NAPC1(m): 12:06am On Jul 22, 2020
The international shame, the unprecedented, shameless, and unrepentant arrogance with which our nation has been raped, bastardised and plundered has reached it crescendo of recent, yet there's no sign that Buhari/APC-Led Government has any tangible plans to tackle the smelly corruption they're enjoying, not even a respite is near.

I am more ashamed that these stealings, plundering and embezzling with rectless abandon is coming from a man taunted so much to be in the same level with "Integrity" personified, and who prided so much about the zeal to fight corruption. Years have gone now, apart from hunting opposition and relooting every loot, who among his cronies have been punished for corruption, let alone jailed? It is a situation of turn by turn under Buhari, a systematic redefinition of what we now know as corruption.

"Look at what is happening to our dear Nation as this administration have engulfed themselves in hyper level of corruptions.
Right now we experience the highest level of Robbery with Pen umder watch of a man fighting corruption. The Armed robbers and these individuals are the same and they all deserve to rot in jail.

"What we have now is Oficial Hushpuppism where the masses are the victims and I say, if this administration wants to at least save their embattled integrity, the NDDC man who gave himself parliatives of N1.4 billion and the Minister for Niger Delta, Akpabio who said they have 400 accounts but cannot tell what they have done with all the funding and also how they have been awarding contracts to themselves in the NASS, should be held accountable for once. This is nothing but a Hushpuppy arrangements and style of theft pretending to be serving the country.

"We need to do something now otherwise posterity will judge us all harshly. How could we be so wicked to squander money when the masses keep dying in abject poverty, worse being the condition of the Niger Delta Region on whose behalf this money draining pipes were set up.

"As for the Magu case, I really don’t believe that anything will come out of it because most top officials were also compromised and these are worrisome because you cannot jail just Magu without bringing down the entire culprits.

"Look at the lickage attributed to AG of the federation, what kind of a mess have we gotten ourselves into? This is no longer a government but simply an avenue for personal aggrandizement.

"Nigeria is at the brim of collapse if nothing is done before the eyes of international world. We have so much lost our value that even Niger Republic is deporting Nigerians when our government is fighting so hard to secure free lands for them in the name of grazing, what a twist of fate?

"This is Huspuppy Government that we see here, and we keep blaming others when the entire government is entangled with pen bandicts.

"Buhari should prove critics wrong by bringing one of his thieves to book and save us from this window dressing".

Politics / 2023 Igbo President: Dr Kalu States Reasons For Atiku Support by NAPC1(m): 12:03pm On Jul 16, 2020
Separating Facts From Sentiments in 2023; The Atiku Question

I have always made bold to reiterate my genuine believe in the reality that Nigeria can be fixed. Nigeria can get working again when we have the right leaders at the helms of her affairs. This is the case we have always made for democracy and one we are ready to support again because we have not lost focus in that genuine believe.

This time, in as much as I agree that the Igbos should be given the opportunity to produce the President of Nigeria because the Igbos are also a great stakeholders in the Nigerian project, they’ve paid a lot of prices for the unity of our nation, this is a fact. But the sentiments remains that the Igbos are not ready yet to tow this line, considering the voting demography of Nigeria, the Southeast and South south do not have any block votes to effect this vision because even Kaduna alone can outvote our divided votes. Therefore, this dream is still a work in the making, inventing our votes in it will mean a repeat of 2015 election where notwithstanding enjoying power of incumbency, we could not deliver Goodluck Jonathan because the demography is against us.

What are we doing to counter this lopsided demography? Can we achieve that without restructuring of the present composition of Nigeria? Igbo presidency will remain far from us, that is why we are advocating for Nigerians to support a man like Atiku whom we believe, if given the opportunity, will bring Nigerians together on the table to discuss a way forward in a restructured and a progressing Nigeria that will make her a level playing ground for everyone. This is the reason I have continued to make case in strong support of the candidacy of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

I am among few Nigerians that have not given up on the endless possibilities of a better Nigeria when a man like Atiku is allowed to bring his wealth of experience to bear on harnessing our potentials. In him, I see a Leader, a Democrat, a Bureaucrat, a man with economic and managerial capacity to turn Nigeria around with his wealth of experience that stood him out during Obasanjo’s administration.

Finally, let me reemphasize that Nigeria at this moment don’t need just any leader as our problem is not rooted on zoning or tribe, but on choosing the right man for the job.

I also still maintain that we need a man with the capabilities and capacity to snatch the power from the cabals, the puvayors of our collective wealth, and hand it back to the people.

So before you accuse me of being an enemies of Igbo Presidency, remember that I said we have to be politically ready before we start, we must restructure Nigeria for it, strengthen our constitution and build political alignment with other regions which the Southeast region presently lack.

Politics is a game of reality and not sentiments and does not produce result in emotions. Supporting Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is creating greater chance for restructuring and youths in politics. Nigeria needs a President that will be for all Nigerians to unite all Nigerians as our progress rests on our unity.

Politics / Having A Qualified Man To Steer Nigeria In 2023 Is Only Way Out – Kalu by NAPC1(m): 10:10pm On Jun 29, 2020
There’s a common African adage that says “where a child is crying and pointing at, either the mother or the father is there”. This is why, for a long time now, far before 2019 General Elections where I strongly supported the candidacy of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to become the President of Nigeria, I really made a case to back my convictions and I am still here insisting that the belief that resurrected that faith has not died, it never wavers either.

It will be a great disservice to our great nation if we continue to place her on the scale of tribalism and mediocrity at the expense of merit and experience. This is the only mistake that has kept Nigeria on her knees since independence, that’s the only monster we have to fight and defeat to move Nigeria forward.

This conviction is based on genuine believe in the reality that Nigeria can be fixed. Nigeria can get working again when we have the right leaders at the helms of her affairs, this is where experiences of men like Alhaji Atiku in leadership comes in.

We must not at this point give up on the endless possibilities of a better Nigeria when a man like Atiku is allowed to bring his wealth of experience to bear on harnessing our potentials. Our economy can always be salvaged and the fortunes turned around to favour us.

I will continue to maintain that Nigerians should not allow the propaganda of media trial confuse us. We must see the Leader, the Democrat, the Bureaucrat, the man with economic and managerial capacity all rolled into one man for sake of turning Nigeria around. He stood out during Obasanjo’s administration, he’s even got better with time.

Let me reemphasize that Nigeria at this moment don’t need just any leader as our problem is not rooted on zoning or tribe, but on choosing the right man for the job. I also still maintain that we need a man with the capabilities and capacity to snatch the power from the cabals, the puvayors of our collective wealth, and hand it back to the people.

Supporting Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as President in 2023 is creating greater chance for restructuring and youths in politics. Nigeria needs a President that will be for all Nigerians to unite all Nigerians as our progress rests on our unity.

Politics / Edo And Ondo Defections, A Good Sign Of True Change To Be Expected In 2023 -Kalu by NAPC1(m): 6:49pm On Jun 27, 2020
The National Publicity Secretary People Democratic party Youth Alliance and Director General, Global Initiative For Good Governance, GIGG, Chief Dr Emeka Kalu, has expressed excitement over the latest development in the political equation of Nigeria in recent times, saying that this is a sign of more surprises that will be felt in 2023 elections.

In a statement signed by his media and publicity aide, Comr Amos Kalu and made available to the press, Chief Dr Kalu recalled that he has always believed and predicted that this tsunami sweeping around Nigeria will usher in a better future for every Nigerian if only we can come together as a people to say No! to impunity and incompetence in leadership, a system where mediocrity is glorified over merit as our country is sacrificed on the altar of tribalism and bigotry.

Chief Kalu was reacting to the defection of Ogun State Deputy Governor, Ajayi and Governor Obaseki from APC to PDP, saying, the process of taking power back from the Cabals to the people has just started.

“I have always maintained that time will right all the wrongs of 2015 to date, PDP lost to APC then because of complacency, PDP haven ruled for 16 years believed they have arrived and threw in the towel. But Politics is like a football game, you don’t relax until you hear the final whistle.

“We have learnt our lessons and the people have paid enough price, it is time to liberate them by PDP taking back power in 2023 because we have understood our shortcomings as a party vis-avis as a nation.

“You can observe the maturity with which PDP handled the Edo State primaries and decamping of GGO to the party, that is how a party with ideals handles issues, placing the interest of the party above personal interest in the effort to liberate the people',' he said.

Further, he insisted that it is now up to the people of Edo State to do the needful by reelecting Governor Obaseki because that is the only way they can make a strong statement that they are tired of Godfatherism and autocratic leadership being offered by APC.

“When a woman marries two husbands, she will know the one that loves her better. We have seen all APC can offer and we know a man cannot offer more than he has. Let them go out and right the mistakes as the precedent has been set in Edo and Ondo, to be translated in 2023.

“The bottomline is that it is in our hands now as a nation to insist that Nigeria will be working again by banking on the party with true democrats and not opportunist groups that came together in 2015 to cajole, deceive and trick the people into believing they can offer any form of change.

“We have seen it all. We have seen their best, it is now time to move on and make every effort to salvage what is left of our nation.

“This change in Edo and Ondo is a tip of the iceberg” He avered.

Politics / KaftanTV Guest: Dr Kalu Scores Buhari Low On Democracy Dividends by NAPC1(m): 4:45pm On Jun 25, 2020
The National Publicity Secretary of People's Democratic Party Youth Alliance, PDPYA, Chief Dr Emeka Kalu, was a guest on KaftanTV to address the State of the Nation on their political programme, THE POLITY.

In his submissions, Dr Kalu said that facts abound of the clear evidence of the inability of Buhari-Led administration to fulfill many promises made to Nigerians in 2015, the very reasons the people were convinced to push Jonathan aside in his favour.

"Uptil now, what have we, nothing. Only theory of achievements, reeling off of figures that cannot be substantiated, claims that cannot be seen translated into the lives of the average Nigerian masses.

"Let me not make things ambiguous by dwelling on far fetched unattainable promises that even 50 years will not suffice them to achieve, lets put our eyes on smaller issues of reality like: 1. Economy, 2. Power, 3. Unemployment, 4. Insecurity, 5. Frauds/Corruption. These are the few factors that can help us to narrow it down to reality.

"1. Economy. Before 2015, Nigeria was known as the fastest growing economy in Africa under Jonathan, but today, it is difficult to know if we have an economy. The difficulties faced by the masses is glaring, yet no economic blue print to take us out of this condition.

"We have been tagged the poverty capital of the world and the government will come out and say they reject it, which of course is mere propaganda that the government is known for. If you reject it, what do you have on ground to dispute that? Have the life of the citizens improved in any way since 2015? What have you done to improve it? The questions are endless begging for answers.

"2. Power. One of the promises of this administration was to fix power within 6 months, 6 years later, they couldn't do anything yet. Infact it only got worse. Do they need another 8 years to start addressing the power pandemic that has crippled Nigerian Economy to date? I'll leave that to the judgement of any propagandist.

"3. Unemployment. Last week or thereabouts, Professor Yemi Osinbajo told us that 39 million Nigerians are out of work and more millions will slip into poverty before the end of the year 2020. We know COVID-19 have had its own effects on employment, but it was like this before the pandemic, that is why when it came, they couldn't offer any solution. Now they're gradually beginning to admit when it is getting very late. My question remains, what is their approach, what proposed solution, where do we go from here as a nation?

"4. Insecurity. This one has become a common way of life for Nigerians, sleeping with one eye open. Banditry, kidnapping, terrorism, Nigerians die daily and we move on as if nothing is wrong, yet we have a government. Everyday we are told Boko Haram have been decimated, as if annoyed by our government's claims, the next day Boko Haram will attack and kill 50, we still call it patches of attack. But is it not lives of Nigerians that are being wasted everyday? Why is our government not being sincere to us, what more will it take to end the menace once and for all? Unless some people are feeding from spoils of the war.

"5. Curruption. One of the white horses with which Buhari rode to power was fighting corruption, but now it seems corruption is fighting back or we no longer know who is fighting who.
Cases of embezzlement, unaccountabilily and fraud is the order of the day. We saw a display of sportsmanship in the act of money laundering during COVID-19 palliative distribution, case closed, battle lost and won as if Nigeria is operating on autopilot. Everyone is now a king in his own office, accountable to only you, yourself and you again.

"We have continued to borrow money to service our desires without building any industry or investing in human capital. This is the best way to kill any Nation.

"In as much as many Nigerians have chosen the path of silence and pretense over the 'State of the Nation', I have chosen to be the only voice that will continue to voice out these anomalies until people began to look beyond the veils of propaganda to know that surreptitiously, Buhari and APC have killed Nigeria and may bury her if nothing urgent is done to take power back from them.

"A party that cannot organize itself internally, can not handle a nation with positive results" he concluded.

Politics / Why Nigeria Needs Atiku, Now More Than Ever - Dr Kalu by NAPC1(m): 6:05pm On Jun 23, 2020
One of my serious advocacy is "Good Governance" in Nigeria and around the world because only through good governance would Nigeria get out of the woods and darkness of political misfortunes bedeviling her now and curtail a hopeless future that is nonetheless, presently shrouded in uncertainty, hoplessness, killings, joblessness, insecurity and economic quagmires.

The primary essence of initiating Global Initiatives for Good Governance, GIGG, was not for self-Serving purposes, but to holistically look beyond the spectrum of political deceptions that abound in Nigeria and view the genuine rays of hope that remains for a dying nation like Nigeria, bringing them to fore, supporting it, while hoping for a turn around of the Nation back to safe grounds on progress and purposeful nationhood.

For this reason, we have unwaveringly, unreservedly, and equivocally continued to believe that the only solution Nigeria needs at this point in time in her history is a man with the Atiku kind of leadership experience.

I am an advocate of youths in politics, but I also believe that the youths need a bridge between the older generation of leaders and the younger generation where they would be properly built and prepared for the overwhelming challenges ahead, Atiku is that bridge.

Alhaji Atiku will be the best to stabilize democracy in Nigeria as we know that we are not reaping the dividend of democracy now, no freedom of speech, if u speak against the government you become a target. We need someone that understands Governance, Rule of Law and laws of privatization to jump start the economy and save the continued spiral descend into oblivion.

Atiku is someone that has history of creating jobs, a detribalized Nigerian and one that can bring Nigeria out from her myriad of troubles created out of ineptitude and bigotry.

We need a President of Atiku's acumen who have extensive experiences in creating jobs and building up infrastructures to move the country forward. No person can take it away from him as he is capable of turning Nigeria a Dubai in AFRICA if we support him to make this 2023 Bid a reality.

We need to go back in 80s when Nigeria Airways has enough fleet to beat best Airlines in the world, a pride that has become past history.

We must not continue to deceive ourselves that all Nigeria need is good leaders, we need more than that, we need the right laws and good leaders with the right experience to translate the good leadership into good governance for the good of the nation.

Alhaji Atiku has a track record of success that can be brought to bear on Nigeria to turn her fortunes around. Let us strongly agree that the times of trials and error like we had in 2015 is over. This is time to shun sentiments and look beyond tribe and fantasy to settle for reality which Alhaji Atiku Abubakar stands for in the mission to rescue Nigeria from mistakes of the past in leadership.

Politics / Proves That Buhari Has Failed Nigerians; Time To Admit - Kalu by NAPC1(m): 6:35am On Jun 18, 2020
The National Publicity Secretary of PDP Youth Alliance - PDPYA, Chief Dr Emeka Kalu, has bared his mind on the state of the nation, saying that the honourable thing to do at this point is for the Buhari/APC-Led administration to come clean and solicit for ideas to help them save Nigeria from their incompetence, cluelessness and bereft nature of administrative know-how.

Chief Kalu, who spoke with OHAFIA-TV News in Lagos, insisted that Nigeria is in catastrophy from all angles of national life and the COVID-19 pendemic has added salt to injury by throwing the out-of-idea administration into further confusion. The center can no longer hold. Yet they are throwing tantrums rather than admit failure.

"The Constitution of Nigeria states in Section 14 (2) b, that the most important function of government is to protect the health and safety of the people.
But what we see these days is opposite of the function of the Government. Everyday we read about how people are being massacred, why is it that way, girls get rapped and killed on a daily, people get masacared in their regions, homes due to insecurity and we are about to go into a major election period.

"We only use our security forces for elections purposes but not to safeguard the life of our citizenry, how can we continue like this?

"I urge the Federal government to reach out to people with experiences in leadership on how to tackle security, people like HE Atiku Abubakar, HE Abdulsalam Abubakar, HE Ibrahim Babangida to consult with them widely to assist in coming up with a working strategy to get us out of this security quagmire.

"Nigeria as a nation needs mental sanity as this mental torture from Covid -19 is enough, we need a soft landing in our own country, the only place we call home.

"At this time what we see is nothing but catastrophe as no one is safe with the present day activities of endless death, poverty, hunger, anguish and hopelessness. Let them know that coming out to announce to Nigerians that 39Million will go into poverty while more millions will lose their jobs is not the job of leaders. Announcing that NYSC may be suspended for two years is just a shame. What we want to hear is what they have done as solution as well as modalities in place to settle the endless loans on the head of Nigeria" he expertiated.

Chief Kalu further stressed on the burden of endless loan being heaped upon Nigerians by this administration, expressing worries for generations to come.

"I shudder when I imagine the loan we presently have on our heads, over $27Billion and counting. How can we be taking loans for expenses, to service our needs? If Nigeria were taking loans to build industries, I will say kudos because such ventures can repay loans, but no, we are just satisfying our insatiable desires now without putting next generation in purview, them that we're mortgaging their future out of our selfishness.

"If we keep perpetuating our borrowing spree, it will come to a point when no one can agree to give us money or we have a situation where the Chinese police will be domiciled in our nation to control some of our infrastructure to get their funds back.

"To me, that is highest sign of unrepentant failure", he concluded.

Politics / Kalu Urges National Assembly To Investigate Shooting In Presidential Villa by NAPC1(m): 9:11pm On Jun 16, 2020
~Says Nigeria is now a laughing stock

The Director General of Global Initiative for Good Governance and Chieftain of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Emeka Kalu has called on the National Assembly to commence investigations into the shooting incident at the Presidential villa.

The PDP leader further stated that the revelation has again exposed the high level of disunity and the inability of President Muhammadu Buhari to coordinate affairs within his immediate family.

In calling on the National Assembly to immediately commence investigation into the shooting, Dr Kalu said it is aimed at unraveling those behind the monumental embarrassment.

He said: "The shooting in the Villa further exposes the inability of the President to lead his family. How can such a person lead over 200 million others? The shooting is totally unacceptable and a thorough investigation should be done by the National Assembly and Security Agencies”

According to a statement signed by him, Dr Kalu said it held that such incident has again shown how the corrupt cabal in the Buhari presidency and the First Lady has continually brought shame to the nation before the international community while parading before Nigerians as saints.

The statement said Nigerians were shocked by reports of how the first family fought dirty with the cabal in an embarrassing and despicable manners that made the nation a laughing stock.

The former gubernatorial aspirant described as shameful that under President Buhari's watch, Nigerians are being mocked at by citizens of other smaller nations in Africa due to the failures and lack of leadership direction and cohesiveness Nigerians are facing from the APC led government.

He further urged the National Assembly to be bold in discharging their constitutional duties if anyone is found wanted in the course of their investigation.

Politics / Why PDP Must Insist On Giving The People Only The Best - Kalu by NAPC1(m): 12:05pm On Jun 16, 2020
The National Publicity Secretary, PDP Youth Alliance, PDPYA, and the Director General, Gobal Initiative for Good Governance, GIGG, Chief Dr Emeka Kalu, has once again called on the largest party in Africa, PDP, to heed the cry of the masses by giving them true leaders whose onus is not self aggrandizement, but service to nation.

In a statement he peesonally signed and made available to the press, Dr Kalu argued that the essence of leadership is to offer solutions that will help improve the lot of the masses, insisting that anything short of that is blackmail.

"We have been on this path for too long, this is the time to think for the masses because there's no other way to grow, progress and unite Nigeria than investing in improved life for the general citizenry" he said.

He therefore encouraged PDP to scout for the best aspirants with reputable character not the ones that go arround to give citizens little token because it is election time.

"This is time for us to define our future as we ought to drive our own progress by making sure that we elect qualified aspirants that will work for the nation, not the ones that will only see election as investment time.

"We must reject those that only start to do humanitarian works like building houses and doing hospital assistance only because they want to fool the people. Leadership in Nigeria must be taken behond this obvious" he argued.

As a man that have been a staunch advocate of Good Governance through service, he maintained that qualified candidates are people with the interest of the citizens and the party at heart.

"This is time to wake up and get involved to make sure we get the best for our people and stop this business as usual that will always cause us our rights.

"Nigerians have borne the brunt of political miscalculations in the past. PDP must own up to this task to save the nation because we have no other place to call our nation"

~Urges those in places of authority to run transparent and inclusive governance

The Director General of Global Initiative for Good Governance and Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP), Chief Dr. Emeka Kau has congratulated Nigerians on the commemoration of this year’s democracy day celebration, expressing optimism that with collective resolve by well-meaning Nigerians, the economic, security and other challenges confronting the nation will be surmounted and normalcy restored in the land.

In his goodwill message to Nigerians, that was signed by him and made available to the press today, Dr Kalu urged all Nigerians to continue to pursue those ideals and actions that would strengthen rather than undermine Democracy, stressing that Democracy remains the best form of government for Nigeria.

While congratulating those that fought hard for the return of Democracy in Nigeria and indeed all Nigerians of goodwill on the 21 years of uninterrupted Democracy in Nigeria, Chief Kalu enjoined Nigerians to shun ethnic and religious sentiments; promote peace and unity in the country.

He, however, condemned the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari for trying to cause division among Nigerians with his lopsided appointments and attitude towards some pressing national issues.

The one time APGA Gubernatorial aspirant in Abia state, opined that the cardinal principals of Democracy is transparency and inclusiveness, he also urged those in authority to imbibe the virtue.

He congratulated Nigerians for been able to maintain political stability, as well as, moved a step further towards the strengthening of critical institutions that promote and support democratic governance.

Covid-19: Emeka Kalu wishes Governor Ikpeazu quick recovery, says testing positive is not a death sentence.

The Director General of Global Initiative for Good Governance and Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Emeka Kalu has urged the good people of Abia state to follow government directives to prevent the spread of Coronavirus in the state.

Kalu, who wished Governor Okezie Ikpeazu quick recovery from the Coronavirus, said the ongoing preventative measures imposed on the people of Abia state and other government policies on Covid-19 are government efforts meant to prevent the spread of Covid-19 pandemic in the state.

Speaking in a press statement he personally signed on Monday, the PDP leader reminded people of the state that “Coronavirus is real and there is the need for us all to observe cleanliness by washing our hands regularly and avoid touching our eyes, nose and mouth”.

Dr Kalu emphasised the need for people to avoid public gathering as well as to wash their hands regularly to avoid the further spread of the virus.

The former APGA gubernatorial aspirant however prayed for the full recovery of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state and other Abians who tested positive for Coronavirus.

“ I wish His Excellency, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu quick recovery. Your Excellency, It’s not a death sentence.

Over the past months, you have demonstrated courage and leadership capacity by preventing the spread of the virus across the state. Your result is a minor setback. I got your back and I wish you quick recovery.”

Politics / Debunking The Lies: News Of New UN State Is Fake - Kalu by NAPC1(m): 11:08pm On Jun 05, 2020
Our attention has been drawn to a fake news making the rounds that Nigeria will be losing 24 Councils to a new State/Nation that will be carved out of Cameroon.

We also understand that the peddlers of this wrong information are also insinuating that some parts of Adamawa will be carved out too, which they conclude will make some Nigerians to automatically belong to a new country altogether.

This rebuttal is to categorically dismiss this concution as mere rumour as there has not been any such arrangements or any such conclusion between Nigeria, the United Nation and/or any other body.

The rumour that Bama, Gwoza, Dikwa, Kala/Balge, Ngala councils and others will be ceceded to the UNO State of Cameroon is a campaign to smear and cook confusion and therefore should be ignored by every Nigerian. Nigeria remains one indivisible entity in need of the best leaders that will harness and turn her fortunes around.

Let us be properly guided.

Politics / My Case For Atiku: Separating Facts And Sentiments - Kalu by NAPC1(m): 9:34pm On Jun 04, 2020
There's a popular saying that tough times requires tough measures, and I am adding that the tough measures can only come from men who understand "times".

Haven said this, let me once again clarify that when I stood strong to support Alhaji Atiku in 2019, it was based on my believe that Nigeria needed a man that is strong enough to understand the dynamic complexities of the multifaceted entity called Nigeria. It was not borne out of pecuniary instinct, neither was I expecting to be rewarded for standing for what I believe to be right for all Nigerians.

I can also still vehemently mentain in 2023 that handing Nigeria over to just any man, will still overwhelm him like it has overwhelmed PMB who thought he will change Nigeria with a magic wand. Of course he did change Nigeria, but in the direction Nigeria has pushed him with its multi-complexities.

Few days back, I made a case for the place of "POLITICAL DYNAMISMS" in Nigeria politics, and I am still premising my submission upon that argument to say that until we separate reality from sentiments in our process of political ideology and orientation, we may start waiting for another 8 years to elapse from 2023. Let me not deviate from my point of discourse.

I also made a case sometime and said that the present generation of Nigerians need a man that can snatch power from the CABALS and hand it back to the people. We saw the pedigree in Atiku's 2019 onslaught against the power that be. I have reasons to believe that if all Nigerians had joined Atiku to fight a bit harder, we would've been out of the woods by now.

Alhaji Atiku is a man that has proved to be a true Democrat, a technocrat, a detribalized Nigeria with high managerial knowhow, coupled with tested tenacity to move things forward naturally. I am not here to eulogize, rather I strive to hit the nail by the head by calling a spade a spade.

His antecedents in businesses since he went out of corridors of power is exactly what Nigeria needs at the point we have find ourselves. A man that can turn things around.

He made a Tweet about consoling the family of Miss Vera Uwa, the girl that was raped and murdered in a Church. I was shocked at the reaction of some elements who believed he was wrong for empathising with a family from the South. But that is the onus of a detribalised leader, he has shown it at all times to prove that it is not about whose corpse in carried, but it is about the sanctity of life of all Nigerians.

I agree that Nigeria need to have a taste of new generation of leaders. But it is when you kill a kite and have it at hand that we begin to ask if women eat kite, this is a popular proverb in Igbo land.

I will continue to implore Nigerians to see reasons with me to rally around Atiku once again to help the youths take power back and make Nigeria great again for all of us.

This reality is the only reaon that the cabals are against him and should be the more reason why the masses should need him.

To be continued....
