You think any Nigerian would wanna voluntarily carry the weight of this country's bleeped up security on their shoulders? I've lost count on the number of Nigerian online shopping, Universities and ISP's database I've looted just for fun not profit due to their crappy security, I would mail them about security bugs, but they wouldn't reply or fix it!

Besides, only a couple of Nigerians, can "work on AI in the field of security" so many are just using ML/AI as a buzz word and they can't either even understand it, or can't explain it easily/properly (meaning, in fact, they don't really understand it well )

lol..well, i meant personal security not national security since it seems the Government are less concerned about our individual security , using AI n our homes and immediate commuinties can serve as our own little contribution.

This is no time to start waiting for government to do stuff for us.....Platforms like this is what we need to get this kinda stuff done for ourselves.
We also need to work on AI in the field of security as it seems our government have been unable to tackle the security issues we have in the country

This is the coolest thread I came across so far....I wouldn't mind learning stuff concerning robotics and artificial intelligence.....From the little I have come across online,artificial intelligence is being used in so many fields of endeavor.......I work in Ibadan and wouldn't mind being involved in your workshop in my spare time

Hi Guys, this topic seems to come at a very good time. I started working in ibadan Nov 2017 and my work place is located around tollgate area (Leadcity University). I reside at Oremeji Mokola area in my grandparents house (rent free) but i think the time for me to get a place of my own is fast approaching. transporting myself from Mokola to Nasfat Busstop isnt so expensive /stressful compared to Lagos were i worked in prior but i would just like to have my own space
I would like info on self contain/2 bedroom accommodation not too far from toll gate area (challenge , Orita etc...)to help me make my decision.

I have an ND in computer engineering and an HND in electrical electronics option. I did my one year IT in a computer manufacturing company in ikeja (where we just coupled already made parts from foreign companies ). I presently work in a manufacturing company and I have come to realize that the basics we were thought in engineering are very important and those simple principles are what are applied to the complex machineries we see today. No knowledge is actually a waste but as the OP said when we are being thought , our only aim is just to pass the course and get the f*ck out.......Most of my colleagues i graduated with either working on banks or doing something else....

Any professional dietician in the house create a list/time table for affordable and readily available sources of proteins in Nigeria..... I just finish into rice and it just seems like we have limited sources of protein in this part of the world.

Invest your time in something else that would pay off in the long run.....
