Nothing is missing in the Quran As I said primary mode of preservation was by memorisation by not just one or two but multiple people. Some people could have died but they were still many who memorised it and passed it down.

Arabs were known for their oral traditions and ability to memorise that is why we have something called "chain of narrators"which contains detailed information about who memorised and who taught who Hadith.

The Quran is still as it was revealed because during it's revelation it's primary form of preservation was by memorisation. This is why children as young as 4yrs old can memorise it.
