Hello house. Please does anyone know if Royal air maroc is currently flying to UK from Nigeria? I was able to book a flight for my parents on expedia.co.uk. However, someone just told my dad that the Airline is not currently flying from Nigeria. I'm a bit confused now. How come I was able to book it when they are not operating? Anyone with any info Thank you. |

Irenenwaka: Narpheesarh i am so happy for you... when i saw your post, the joy in my heart was as if they were my parents. My mum has been refused twice , and now i am pregnant and due in april i am about to make another shot (this time with my hubby and i fully sponsoring her). I hope all goes well for me. When you were filling the form by the way, since your parents were fully sponsored by u nd hubby what did u put in for the part that inquires on how much they will be spending? Thanks dear. I put £1200 in that part where they asked how much are you personally planning to spend on the trip. But when they asked is anyone paying towards your visit, I put yes and put my husband's name and then put the whole £1200 as the amount he will contribute. I hope you understand what I mean? Let me know if you require any more help. My parents have been denied once as well. By God's grace they will get it this time. |

narpheesarh: Hello House.please I'm here again. Thanks to those that take their time to answer all questions. I submitted my mum's 6 months visit visa application last week. Her passport is due to expire in May, please is that an automatic refusal. I checked visit visa requirements on gov website and it only stated that you need a passport with validity for your travel dates, hence why I used the passport like that. A friend is telling me now they may not grant her the visa because 6 months will fall after the expiry date of the passport. Please will this truly be an issue. My plan is for her to renew the passport before she comes here and hold both passports. Hello House. My mum got her six months validity visit visa today despite using a passport due to expire in May. Many thanks to everyone who answered one question or the other regarding my parents application. Dad's passport is yet to be delivered by DHL. Hopefully tomorrow. spiceeamiee: she may be sent an email to provide a new passport. Her passport with them would be returned and after she renews, she would submit both passports (this happened to me in 2014 when I had a defaced passport. They sent me an email to do new passport and submit both old and new passport. The application was still denied sha OR she may be denied out rightly. The rule is to have 6months validity on your passport, not valdity of your passport to your travel dates. Thank you. Fingers crossed. Hopefully they send an email to provide a new passport rather than outright denial. |

You can call the hotel directly to find out the status of the your hotel reservation . Please what happens if he or she uses the passport as it is? |

She is due to have her baby in early June and wants her mum to be there. Can she apply for a 2 years visit visa for her in early May just before the current one expires? Many thanks. |

Sego12345: To avoid long story which may sound complicating to the ECO, he should attach an evidence of retirement and also documents to show strong ties to Nigeria.
Since your husband will be sponsoring he can attach statement of account, evidence of citizenship, house document in the uk and other relevant document.
Most importantly proof of relationship to you, family pics etc Thank you Sego12345. We will be attaching all that. My fear is, I hope it won't be an issue if he doesn't submit his bank statement since he has not started receiving pension. I hope the ECO will not consider his personal financial circumstance. Thanks |

narpheesarh: Dear Gurus. Thanks to those that have responded. I really appreciate. Lastly I want to confirm again if their bank statements are necessary or not, since my husband will fully sponsor. My dad retired in August, 2020 but they have not determined how much pension he will receive nor have they paid any to him yet.if he is to submit a bank statement, what statement will he submit. N.B. he runs like a small private estate management business, has block industry where he gets some income, and recently opened a hostel he built where he gets yearly rental payment. However i'm sure the in flow in his savings account will be irregular, as he doesn't have a separate account for all these businesses he does. Secondly, when filling the employment status section. Should he fill self employed or retired? Dear House please I'm still expecting a response on this. My husband will fully sponsor his trip. If it is necessary for my dad to include his bank statement, (considering that he has not received any pension yet), can he still submit his salary account statement, or should he include his savings account with irregular funds? May God bless you all for the good work |

narpheesarh: Dear Gurus in the house. My husband plan to invite my parents and sponsor the trip including flights. They will also be staying with us at our house when they arrive. My dad is retired but now runs a business. My mum also run her own small business. Will both of them be required to submit their bank statements since it's my husband sponsorsing the trip. Marytee2: My mum is also retired. I have applied for visa for her twice, both granted. The person who will sponsor between you and hubby should not matter, as long as the person has a valid leave in the UK and you can prove your relationship with them. In the letter of invitation, your husband to explain that he will sponsor flight and everything. With this, they might not really consider their statements. Either your hubby alone or both of you submit your Statement, it doesn’t matter. Just make sure the statement you will submit is robust enough to cover their expenses. If your parents have monthly pension coming into their accounts, it might worth printing out and submit. You must be able to show evidence of their tie to home. You can attach copies of their properties in Nigeria. Keep your application simple and uncomplicated. Show your relationship to them via your birth certificate and marriage certificate.
That’s my personal experience and has worked for me. Amount that you will quote for total trip should be in moderation. Cheers. Thank you for your time and response. God bless |

Irenenwaka: Hello Narpheesarh, while we await the gurus in the house let me chip in my little input.
Firstly we have been advised over and over again not to ever include business statement of accounts in visit visa application, cause like we already know no business statement of account has consistent earnings. This reduces the chances of success drastically.....so just dont include the business financial statement of both of your parents.
Secondly.... if its not an urgent visit then i will suggest they pay themselves salary from thier business account to a personal account for about 6 months.
Thirdly.... if its an urgernt visit, i will suggest you dont include thier statement of accounts at all. just include your husbands statement since he is fully sponsoring them....... please note, i am not very sure about this option. i dont about thier chances of success without their SOA, although i think i met an individual on here who claimed to have gotten a visit visa without submitting her SOA becuase she was fully sponsored. like i said i cant verify this , but other gurus can add to this.
finally, i am in your situation as well. i want to invite my mum, she does a business as well but will be fully sponsored by my husband and i .... i will be approaching her application in february 2021 with the second option/point i stated (she satrted the salary thingy around september)........kindly note that, my mum has been refused visit visa twice for my wedding (on both occassions she included her business SOA) , so i have learnt enough lessons loool. you can click on my profile to view my previous posts, both refusal letters were posted. i think you wud learn from it. thnks Thank you so much Irene. Please other gurus in the house can you please say something on this. May God bless you all. |

Since you and your hubby will be taking care of accommodation you should mention that in the IV, they only have to budget for the flight ticket. Thank you Justwise |

Hello Gurus in the house. Im a student in the UK. My dad and mum wants to come over to visit me for a week. My dad works with the government and earns 400k a month. He has other investments like private business which he gets income from as well. My mum is into a large scale business which is registered. However, not to complicate issues since they have been denied once, i want my dad to be the sponsor. He does not really run his salary account apart from receiving salary and spending it. So it has a low balance. He has another account where he receives money from his other investments, which he runs and with enough money in it. Can he send money enough for their travel from this other account into his salary account and explain to the ECO he transffered it from his savings account into his salary account for the purpose of their travel? Secondly, myself and my husband plan to book an hotel for them and cater for their feeding, can this be deducted from their expenses when filling the application? Thank you |
