@justwise @ekpotek and all other gurus in the house. 1. I am a student undergoing my PhD program in the UK. I want to invite my dad and mum to visit me in the UK this December. They have been denied once due to lump sum of money in their account. My dad is a civil servant (works for Osun state government) that earns about 150,000 after tax. Although what they pay into his salary account after all deductions from cooperatives and mortgage is about 50, 000. He has all other sources of income as well, such as money coming from his private sole proprietorship company. He built houses which he rented out as well. He also has a block industry. The issue is, the salary account is really low, and for the other account, all other sources of money go into it, which makes the account irregular. This was the account he used for the last visa application that was refused. Please advice on what to do regarding this. Presently he has about 2million in this account. 2. For my mum, she runs her business. She is a distributor for different food companies . Her business is registered. The issue is, she doesn't really have a separate account for her business. Payments made to her are also in cash. Money made after sales are sent to the company she normally gets her goods from in order to buy more goods. Sometimes if she is not ready to order for more goods, she can make the payment to her account pending the time she is ready as she can't keep money in her shop. She spends from this account as well, she doesn't keep a particular amount on a monthly basis for savings . How do we go about this to increase her chance of getting vusa 3. I am filling the application for them. They will both be funding this trip jointly. What will i fill in the section that talks about, is anybody paying towards your trip? Will i select No for dad and No for mum as well? Both of them will contribute towards the trip 4. Also, my husband is with me and works full-time. We intend to provide feeding for them during their stay, (as the hotel booked is close to our house) but cannot accommodate both of them. Should i mention this in the section of 'will anybody be paying towards your trip 5. For ties back to Nigeria, we intend to include business registration document, landed property documents. I also have a younger brother who is just in 100level. Will he also serve as a tie back home. I mentioned him in the the dependant section. 6. My daddy sponsored my masters program and also the first year of my PhD, I have receipts for these, will this add anything meaningful to their visit visa application Should i add all of my siblings who are in Nigeria but are married as their dependants as well? Thanks Please assist house! I have posted this for a week now. |

figel:Ok thanks...I'm sorry to bother you, but did you provide evidence of where your husband lives in the Uk. And is this an important document to include.?. thanks |
figel:Please when did they start interview for tier 4 dependants? Was it at the visa application centre or later before you received a decision email Thank you |
Bourne007:Thank you very much Bourne007 |
Hello justwise and other gurus in the house. I recently completed my masters in the UK and got back to Nigeria January 13 2017, although my current visa expires March 3rd. I got another admission for PhD and instead of travelling back to the UK to extend my current visa, I want to reapply from Nigeria. Do I still need to do a TB test since I haven't even spent up to a month outside the UK. Thank you all. |
narpheesarh:#Can someone with experience please answer my question.. Thank you for your anticipated response # |
Hi everyone, I know this might have been answered somewhere along the line, but I don't seem to get exactly where it is. My question is this, I just finished my Masters in the Uk, and I have gotten admission for PhD starting in January. I came into the Uk last year October (2015) as single. But i went home in July 2016, to get married. Now with my PhD, I want to invite my spouse as a dependant. We have a marriage certificate, and pictures taken at the registry. What other things do you think I can add to the above documents in order to satisfy the immigration officer ..Thanks |
Hi everyone, if one is applying for. PhD scholarship through FSB, does the University of choice need to be one of the listed commonwealth universities as well? Or can one apply to any UK university? Thanks |
@olatej.it depends on the bank. For zenith, it was 350 to a pound when I used it early last month. |
Alhamdulilah.my visa was issued today. Thanks everyone. |
@ Mubarak, Jazakumullahu khoiron..Thank you so much. Will wait for their collection mail then. Decision mail by Tls since Friday 02-10-2015.i just pray I can get it latest by Tuesday. Anyone heading to Middlesex University pls?? |
Hi all, I got a mail from TelePerformance today that my application has been assessed and decision has been made, but I didn't get the mail from LAGOSVisaInfo@fco.gov.uk. Please what could be the cause of this Can I travel down to lagos to check on Monday? I just feel the mail should come from lagosvisainfo@fco.gov.uk rather than Tls. I hope this doesn't have anything to do with acceptance or refusal. It's my first time, nd dats y I'm like this. Your responses will be highly appreciated. Thanks |
Mubarak did u pay for priority service too? And is this your first visa application? Just wondering y mine isn't out yet. |
Utijerry.. just try ur luck. We never can tell since u want to pay for a priority service which takes about 5working days. Though I also paid and got a reply after 4 working days that they need to carry out additional work on my application and it may now take up to 15 working days. But normally it shouldn't be more than 5working days. So try your luck and pray. I hope this helps. |
Hello. I had my biometrics and interview at Ikeja on the 18th of September. I paid for a priority service since resumption date on the CAS is 28th of September and latest enrolment date is October 16. I expected a decision response yest 28/09/15 only to get a mail which goes thus: ''Please be advised that we are carrying out additional work on your application and will make a decision on your case at the earliest opportunity. Due to the additional work that must be completed, the estimated processing time for your application has been revised and may now be up to 15 working days from the date of this letter." i'm just kind of bothered. Does this mean a refusal? And if they actually get back after 15 working days, I don't think I can still meet up this session. Anyone who has experienced a similar situation I'm just confused as to what to do. |
Humm.who else is moving by air from lag?? |
Thank you
