Deep Soul:
I lived alone when I was 21 (NYSC). Went back home and "ran away" at 23. The only way I could achieve that was getting a job in a different town from where my parents stay.

Staying alone is NOT easy, my opinion. Especially if you are legit! The bills never stop coming in - food, NEPA card, fuel, security bills, water bills etc etc. It has made me appreciate all my parents did for me till I was 21. Oh, I forgot to mention house rent. . . my dear, you are eating free food and not paying rent and you are tired. I laugh in swahili!

Despite the hardship though, I'd rather not stay with my parents, biko. It makes me fiercely independent, financially and otherwise.

@OP: Major problem is, you are still in school. You're gonna wanna wait till you're done and can fend for yourself before thinking of moving out. It's a HARSH world out here! Or if you have any available suitors, you can like to choose one right now

P.S: Why are you still in school at 26? You haff tay small oh. . .

Earlier I said that the process of separation of the soul from the body will happen differently for everyone. It all depends on the spiritual condition of the soul i.e. how the person has lived his/her life. Everything is guided by Natural Law. The soul which is the covering of our innermost core the spirit is “conditioned” depending on how we live our lives. It assumes a luminous and, if you want, heavenly appearance if the individual concerned has lived a life directed by goodness or righteousness and upon death will be quickly drawn to places in the hereafter that are of a similar nature. On the other hand the soul of the individual who has lived a bad life or acquired a marked earthly propensity will assume a dense heavy appearance/consistency. When death occurs for such a soul the transition tend to be longer because he has tied himself (so to speak) to the earth. When his soul does eventually leaves his body after perhaps a prolonged death struggle it will be drawn to places in the hereafter that are of a similar nature with his soul.

Currently the medical consensus is that a person is said to have died when brain death occurs that is, when the brain suffers irreversible damage and shows no signs of electrical activity. The other body parts may still be kept “alive” through technology i.e. ventilators and other life support equipment even when brain death occurs but only for limited time. Science does not take into consideration anything to do with the soul because it is outside its scope and so relies on brain death concept for organ transplants. What may be in reality happening is that someone who is not really “dead” but is brain dead may be subjected to more pains during the transplant!

I am not with all this saying that organ transplants should be stopped. But people who sign up for this should be made aware that there is more to this than meets the eye, they should not think that death is a uniform immediate occurrence for everyone when the time comes!

hmmm,  Natasha, dey there! u don't know the kind of nonsense some mortuary attendants and students do with human cadavers/body especially if it is that of a well endowed young or middle aged woman. 

Last year or the year before, it was all over the news in my area about how the police arrested a group of corpse abusers. these young men were students studying anatomy using cadavers donated to the University. some were maassturbating in the mouths of the female cadavers, others were actually having seexx with the dead bodies  HABA!! is it that they could not find any breathing woman willing to bone them? I swear people are sick in the head!

There are two possible scenarios;
1. If there is an after-life, those persons who will live there wouldn't need an earthly body to exist.

2. If there is no after-life, the earthly body turns to dust anyway.

So it's a loose-loose scenario for those who do not want to make a contribution to science by donating their bodies. If offered the opportunity to donate my body for a scientific cause, I will do so without a shadow of a doubt.

The time it takes for the soul to leave the body varies for each individual. Generally for the soul that is without propensities for the earthly the separation from the body is quick, it has nothing holding it back. That is not so for the soul with strong affiliations or propensities for earthly things. But we are digressing from the topic at hand.

True, organ donation is based on the concept of brain death - a condition that was agreed upon in 1981 by the Commission to Study Medical Issues in the US. But I think that brain death may not be the time when the soul leaves the body for everyone. Unfortunately I cannot present the reasons for my opinion at this time.
At this point I must state that I respect the wishes of those who have made the decision to leave their bodies for science when they die. For me I prefer my remains to be left alone.
