Kenedy can offer similar to Moses on the other side but in terms of intelligence, combination plays and delivery, Alonso is ahead of them.

His drawback is lack of pace mostly, but he is doing well otherwise IMO. Every game, he is involved in key passes, chances or attempts on target. He reminds me of Graeme Le Saux in his slow-looking but methodical approach to creating chances.

Either style of playing (Kenedy or Alonso) achieves results, but peeps should also watch the game with seasoned eyes. Alonso has his own way of making things happen without being explosive like Moses or Kenedy.

Balanced POV. I am yet to see this extreme awfulness that people refer to when they talk about Alonso. In my opinion, I see a very effective player. His technique, positioning/awareness, delivery and aerial presence are key points of his game. Add to that, the fact that he understands his role very well. I think he has done well so far.

I don't believe that Kennedy is better, Kennedy is just a kind of different player - an option.

Even the Diego Laxalt we are being linked is not necessarily better than both.

And CFC are 3 matches away from equaling Arsenal's 14-match winning run which straddled the 01/02 and 02/03 seasons.

I am hopeful but not expecting us to beat that record. From what I saw today, tiredness is starting to creep up on a few key players. Unless we can do some business early in January and bring in some very good players. The question is how many very good players are available in January? This is why I guess the likes of Kennedy have been called back and Musonda is now training with the squad.

Who knows? Both may come into the side for some minutes and end up impressing and challenging first team players for positions.

What I admire most is Conte's tactical flexibility. His ability to tweak tactics is actually getting us results.

His pre-match plan was to attack Palace. When he got a goal, he brought on Fab and then reverted to a possession formation - 4-3-3. When it appeared Pardew and his boys were going to give it their all in the dying minutes of the game, Don Antonio brought on Ivanovic and went defensive. Three different in-game instructions all in one match.

That in all sincerity places him above every other manager in the country. Don Antonio has my respect!

It wasn't a 4-3-3. It was a 3-5-2 with Moses and Alonso still at wing-back positions.

And we finished the game like that. The difference was in the overall positioning of the defensive block at different times in the game and yes, it supports your theory of Conte's tactical flexibility.

I see no reactions to the rumours linking us to Marco Verrati. Now I don't know where these tabloids sniff the stories of a possible bid from, but can you imagine a Kante-Verrati midfield in a 4-3-3?

We can dream, right? I hope this story can go from rumours to the truth. Not sure how this can happen or whether £40m will land Verrati (in this crazy world where Oscar is going for £52m) but mehn, if Conte can influence the transfer through Italian links, that's a journey down to next-level midfield.

I for one will give all the £52m from the Oscar fee to PSG.
