mithel: Baba Rahman has been okay imo....its the ediot ahead of him that is pissing me off...how is hazard benching Kenedy Mikel has more take ons in 45 minutes than hazard the entire season!!! You are just exaggerating. I wonder what you want Hazard to do. Sometimes I cannot understand the criticisms levelled at the poor guy. How does Hazard bench Kennedy? Seriously? Kennedy? Anyone not watching the game now will find it difficult to believe that the same Hazard has 3 assists and a goal in this game. |

Nihilist: It doesn't matter whether they excelled at Chelsea or not. The principle remains. Torres was an excellent footballer until something snapped in his mind. It wasn't necessarily that he lacked pace after injuries. It wasn't that he lacked technique.
Those don't explain this. https://i56.tinypic.com/ddjlf8.gif
or this
To me, Hazard is looking like he's going down that Torres route, though down a slightly different path
Physically he's fine....mentally though?
He clearly has issues with commitment to the cause. He's been criticised for his attitude by 2 Belgium managers in a row. He's been publicly castigated by Jose and now by Guus. All have been for the same reason. His seeming lack of commitment.
There's clearly something wrong there that would explain his drastic drop in performance and his shameless flirting with other clubs in Europe.
Its one thing to suffer bad form....it's another thing entirely to care enough to do something about it.
Hazard looks like he simply does not give a rats azz about his form, as long as he is getting paid. It's difficult to invest my hope in such a guy.... Okay. Good Point made. |

Nihilist: Remember Torres? That's different. He never had a good season for Chelsea. I am referring to players who have been Chelsea players, have excelled and then suffer a dip in form. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by nateevs(m): 2:09pm On Feb 17, 2016 |
I remember very vividly (either 2008/09 or 09/10 season) when Didier Drogba was almost absolute tosh. He couldn't even control the ball without looking like a League 2 player. It was a new low in Didier's career.
Even fans live at SB used to curse at him. There was serious outcry to sell him. Even I was part of the party. While some stood faithfully with him (Notably FBS), others didn't.
As fate would have it, heavens knows what may have become of Chelsea had we sold him.
What's my point? I believe history should always teach us something. Like the importance of 'perseverance with genuine top players going through a dip in form'. And that sometimes, a deep in form is just that; certainly not to be confused with 'disinterest'. And that instead of a global cry to rid the club of such players, support them, hope they find form and hope that the peak of their careers is spent at the club.
No long story. Everybody gets the gist. |

diggz: Bros sorry I had to bring up your previous history however,as a cfc fan and a fan of hazard I wish and pray daily for him to perform beyond the shyte he has constantly served us from even last season. Ofcourse I am loyal to a fault to cfc so it is expected of me to support the squad even when dey f- up from time to time. Havent said that,I will personally own my assessment of hazard and state a line as follows;
Hazard has proven to be the most next to be superstar who has disappointed beyond reasonable doubt.
And,if you are in doubt I am totally in support of DK and A40 right now.
I end my case till he comes to stand correct and how much I do long for that......
I rest my case bruv! I don't understand your point bro. But let's leave it like that. I try not to get into Hazard debate. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by nateevs(m): 6:49pm On Jan 31, 2016 |
diggz: Bros no disrespect but you have a record for supporting and sticking to some players beyond recognizable reasoning e.g. Fernandud Torres. So I won't type any epistle yet. So just for the record I will state the following;
1) hazard for all his hype and skills combined hasn't lived up to expectations so far.
2) hazard was once named Bf neymar,den beside neymar but,he his now way way below neymar everything wise.
3) hazard with all his potentials mist likely will end up as pius ikedia according to DK and it won't be bcuz of MOU or epl or cfc,it will just likely be bcuz he was never better than pius ikedia from the unset .
I don talk my own finish...! You are responsible for your own assessment and expectations for Hazard. Don't bring my own history into it. What and/or who I support and however long I support it for had no bearing on the scheme of things. What is questionable is where your decisions and mental capacity to understand these issues lie. You guys seem in an eternal state of confusion. One minute you think Hazard is average and at the same time, angry at the fact that he hasn't surpassed expectations. How can one mind be in these two realms at the same time? At least Dayo and A40 clearly state he is average and I stand at the other end of the spectrum. But I will rather be in my own lane and be known for what I don't support than running rings around the middle ground and hopping on 'expectations of Hazard' according to the weather. Oga, abeg free my soul. |

lalaboi: Hazard nightmare is not over. . He saw a good chance in first half to legit score his first goal in open play, he fluffed it which is a minus.
He jumps at a penalty to score his first goal in months and e dey happy. Not sure how that boosts his confidence Go ask footballers. One tap-in for a striker that is playi.g absolute tosh, can take him places he never imagined. One penalty for a player whose been playing very well can do just the same. When a player is looking for goals, it doesn't matter how it comes. 'It comes'; that's what matters. How it boosts his confidence, well, time will tell. What I don't get is why it is not celebrated. After all, if he bags confidence from this, Chelsea FC benefits from it. How can it not be a good thing? I am beginning to think some have a secret inmense dislike for Hazard. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by nateevs(m): 6:29pm On Jan 31, 2016 |
diggz: Like seriously?
Nateevs are you actually showing your face here over hazard scoring a useless goal against MK dons even after he lost a one on one?
I just dey shake my head You guys are just wanking at the wrong ass. You see a player like Hazard whose lack of goals has had no measure of dent on his in-field play, you should understand it's only a matter of time. Cool-headed ones like us are looking at the other basics and asking the right questions - is he playing well?, is he improving overall play of the team?, is he finding the right passes? Why? Because if he is, then it's only a phase. Whilst JT is going to give the ball to Hazard to take the pen, you lot, unlike fans, are on his back like he created the problem himself. You are swallowing Phensic like headache was invented in your head. |

bigkesh: Why are you guys blaming Remy just to cover Eden's stupidity....... Hazard should have taken the defender out..this is a skillful player without a goal this season,where is the determination? Two clear chances to score and he passed to cover up for his nervousness in front of the goal... Bullshit What you are expressing is extreme desperation to blame Hazard for everything. Hazard sees a player through on goal and passes and somehow you think the better decision for him wad to take on players. How do you say that with a straight face? When Hazard is taking on everyone, folks like you are the first to jump to blame game. |
