Very very poor. Wrong selection as always Carllotti. Anelka, Essien, Lampard have been shocking. Anelka and Essien are not needed in the game.
No width, no pressing, no urgency. Malouda and Anelka think we are 1 up. Everyone is far away from Torres. No one supplying any balls. The annoying thing is that Utd have not been fantastic. This is what you get when you assemble 22 mechanical players. Benayoun, a 30-yr-old former Liverpool, is the most creative Chelsea player. That shows you what is wrong with us.
Drop the 4-4-2 bullshit. Bring in Kalou and stick him on the right. Take out Essien, drop Ramires in DM and bring in Benayoun.
Nothing's changed. , We always needed to score 2 goals to go to the next round. |

lalaboi: I believe . . . .
If Ancelotti gets the tactics right! we will progress. . Now that is a binsh because this dude makes only 2good decisions out of 10. . . Only tactics can put us out. . . Not ability. Dorgba on the bench. Torres, Anelka and Malouda play. Yet another forward line. I would have gone for Zhirkov instead of Malouda. And I would have dropped Essien, Ramires in DM and Benayoun into RCM in 4-3-3, or RM in 4-4-2 and then finally Kalou instead of Anelka. |

FBS.
No I have not singled out a player. I only comment on them after carefully watching over a long time. You are right my eyes are stuck on Essien now. One of the mains reasons our play breaks down.
The next player I am watching now is Lampard. I am giving him that excuse of coming back from a long term injury. He has been below par. I must also argue that he has also been played in a 4-4-2. . Not Lampard's forte, same reason he disappears in an England Shirt. However, after watching a 30-min cameo from Benayoun on Saturday, I am beginning to re-think the injury thing. Maybe it's the beginning of the end. . |

Sagamite: On two levels:
1) Too much emphasis on culture. No matter how inhibitive the culture is to progress. One of such cultures is to heed to elders when they request of one. It happens from the single family unit all the way to the bigger society. Then you have reetards being in positions of authority. The reetard called JK Randle tried to play that card on Fashola at a debate. 2) People do not challenge authority. Authority is mainly held by elders, as they command more respect and suppose to have more say. Authority is not held based simply on merit. It permeates all our cultures.
To disparage them and to let them know what will happen if they are not responsible. Let them know with rights comes responsibility.
Tell me why not.
Psychologically, someone that someone do not respect in public will most likely not command respect from others.
If you see the Queen or Obama or even the freaking Prince William, you are likely to respect them based on the respect several others are giving them. If Prince William even approached you to speak to you, based on the reverence he is getting, you will feel priviledged he spoke to you.
If you see people throwing pure water at IBB, you are unlikely to respect him.
And if the elder (plus people like you that want elders to be held in reverence) insist you should keep quiet and let the elder make the point, what will you do?
What will you do when they maintain you keep quiet most of the time during the debate because "you do not talk when elders are talking"?
What will you do when the elder gets annoyed and incandescent at your objections and he (and people like you that demand reverence for elders) insist you must apologise for annoying an elder?
After you apologise (which I will assume YOU would), can your point still stand? Or you have lost the psychological battle? OK. I am going to back off one step. I kind of see reason in what you say. The part however, that I find hard to agree with though is insulting them. You can make your point, take a stance, disagree with elders and scatter ground if you so desire. Insulting them however cannot achieve much. |

Yes, that is one of the reasons Africa is behind!!! How?
NO, you do not respect criminals. You do not respect people ruining your life. You are allowed to heap insults on them. If they don't like it, they should do things that will not lead to being insulted. Why?
What rubbish are you talking about unconditional respect? For fooools? Respect give people CLOUT. You are giving clout to people ruining your life and future? So how does disrespecting them solve your problem?
You really haven't said a lot. Unless you can prove to me how you intend to achievement strides with disrespect, what you are saying holds no ground.
I choose to walk the path of decorum, it never hurts. I will criticize elders when they go wrong. I will tell an elder where they have gone wrong. I won't normally disrespect an elder, I may have at some point but not because I think it is right as you are trying to tell me. |

Sagamite: Are you going to give him the money to build it?
Bollocks!
What you describe (with the West) is the total other end of the spectrum! Total lack of respect.
What he said, was elders must EARN respect, it should not be automatic. It can be by default, but if the elder is a Silverback Gorilla like Jonathan, you can shove the respect up his arse. Except he said that's one of the reasons Africa lack behind and I fail to see the connection. Unconditional respect does not mean you can't disagree with elders, it just means that while you are at it, never forget the key word - Respect. You can disagree or criticize authority even with unconditional respect and that should in no way hinder any sort of development. |

debosky: ^^ Torres wasn't really bought for this season.
The prime reason for buying Torres is because Drogba is on the wane. The issue was, if Chelski waited till the summer, they might be gazumped by Citeh again, so they decided to buy him once Citeh had secured Dzeko's services.
The fact is that Sturridge needed to go out on loan to show he could cut it game to game, instead of bit part performances with the associated excessive criticism you face at a big club like Chelski.
I personally think DD's days are numbered, but y'all still need him right now. You make that sound like teams who don't have Torres don't win trophies. We never had to buy Torres. He could come good. Yes. We can however do a lot with 50m. I will happily spend 30m on Neymar. |

passyjango: I am not afraid of getting old or afraid of criticisms or insults. I am not suffering from inferiority complex, if I deserve some knocks, I will accept it in good fate. My submission is that respect should be accorded to all old or young, based only on their exemplary character. Unconditional, respect for elders is one of the weaknesses of African culture and one reason why Africa lacks behind the rest of the world. Bullsh.it. Only people who have a reservation for respect support this notion. I am not convinced there is a connection between lack of development and unconditional respect. On the contrary lack of unconditional respect for elders is turning the so-called advanced countries to sh.itholes. Take a trip to British schools and see what I am talking about. Last time I checked, the Japanese and Chinese don't support that point of view and are no strangers to economical, social and technological developmental. |

Danny Sturridge scored a brace yesterday in Bolton 3-0 win. First goal, absolute class! Torres should watch that video over and over again. Second goal? This boy has grown! 6 goals since only February!
Meanwhile, Borini scored a fantastic free kick for Swansea. World class free kick. 3 goals in 3 games.
We have young strikers on loan firing away yet we are persisting with Drogba who's scored only 10 goals this season. How do we correct this? We go out and spend 50m on a striker who so far has forgotten how to score.
Only Chelsea! |

muami: I thought it was only me that saw that. Just to add that CPC only had significant votes in the areas that they won and came last in every other area. Go GEJ Missing a very important fact that CPC will hardly have votes in many areas because they didn't have candidates. Someone in the very first pages even pointed out that in their ward, CPC got some 50-something votes with no representative. IF that is true, it shows that your opinion may be more distorted than you think. Also there is nothing to suggest that because someone voted PDP as Senator, therefore they will vote PDP as President. A lot of people in Alimosho LGA in Lagos as I have been following have voted PDP only because they don't want BRF. To these people, it is anything but BRF. . . It's however naive to suggest that because they have done so, they will vote for GEJ. See where I am coming from. There's a lot to be worried about for PDP. Ribadu may well be President Elect come next week. |
