Mix that up with other young players that were under 21 as at Jan 1st 2010, we have

Mancienne,
Kakuta,
Stoch,
Bruma,
Van Aanholt,
Di Santo.

The problem we could have is that of balance. We already have 18 foreign players. We must allow at least 5 to leave to create room for new foreign players and more home grown players to make up the 25.

Have you all been following the new rules for club's participation into the CL?

From 2012 . .
No club will be allowed to spend more than they generate.
You can't make losses of more than £38m between 2012 and 2015.
Club owners will have a cap on the total amount they can pump into a club to fund player transfers and wages. (Although they can fund capital projects like Stadiums or Academies).


I think this is brilliant. It is an indirect wage cap. This is one of the many reasons I am beginning to believe there won't be any high profile player transfer this season.
Together with the new rule on player composition, I think this is victory for football.
From 2010, there's a maximum cap of 17 foreign players that can be in any team of 25. 8 of them must be home-grown players of, 4 spots of which are reserved for club trained players. Players under the age of 21 as at the 1st of January of that season can play at any time.



How does this affect potential transfer targets, the blooding of youngsters and the overall health of our club? . . . let's have some discussion.
