Good play! |
What a run by Anelka. |
Goallllllllllllllllllllll Drogba! |
Anelka has to learn to release quickly. . |
MatchDay Live. . . Reserve goal keeper Rhys Taylor injured. So Jan Sebek second reserve goal keeper which means 5th choice goal keeper is on the bench. Turnbull Ivanovic Alex Terry Ferriera Mikel Kalou Lamps Anelka Drogba Malouda Subs: Sebek, Deco, Matic, Zhirkov, Sturridge, Joe. |
What happened to Liverpool. ? Not even a fight? |
How does Webb allow a foot that high right in front of him? I can't understand it. |
This is lining up to be a smoking tie. . Can't believe I rewound the TV before the game and was watching 3 mins late. |
goaaaaaaalllllllllll |
You are a phucking clown!!!. . You think you can spin everything put before you. Let see. . . Which were you talking about when you made this assertion, considering the fact it was not a follow up to an already stated case. If our midfield is poor, what will you say about Inters midfield. . . . especially as we dominated possession almost exclusively? Hahaha. . . Did you mean dominated possession in midfield, defence, attack. . . Where? Almost exclusively you said and you trying to tell us that you meant in midfield. . . Now all the individual personalities in inside you are fighting each other. You are about to erupt. Because I asked in the interview about "dominating the game" . . You think you've found a hole in the room you want to jump through. Hey! It wasn't the sky you saw from the hole. . . It was another brick wall in sky blue colour! and you built it there yourself. Can we have a circus thread please. . We have clown to provide services FOC. Your interview is bordering on incredibly stu.pid. . . Mine was a classic. For example. I have never said there are no holes behind our defence. And then me saying it's Guus' fault, Avram's fault, JM's fault is just plain stu.pid and it's not funny. . Mine was classic. . and based on a collection of your personal quotes. . . no inferences like you have done. Mine was creatively done - a inherent classic, yours was trying. I will answer your questions. One after another. Robinho had problems with attitude . . . Not with abilities . . This season. . He started 6 games 23 shots, 11 shots on goal and 3 assist. I assist in 2 games even in a troubled season. 13 fouls suffered, with players like this you will get free kicks and penalties all the time. The possibilities of you scoring increases by a massive percentage if you have players that score free kicks. .What's even better ? Robinho scores free kicks. Ask ManU how many free kicks and pens they converted because of Ronaldo. A player that skips past others is a major threat. Last Season. In all competitions. 40 games started. Goals 15, 135 shots, 66 shots on goal 9 assists. And this is in the prem. . . So what is you on bro. ? I am not even asking Robinho to replace Lampard. Just add him to the squad. . . He at least 3 times better than Malouda, Joe, Kalou all put together. . . Who can argue against that? On Diego. Because a player has a spell in a new club in his first season means he is crap . . Ever heard of Ronaldo? Lampard has only been consistent for about five seasons and he is 31. I can go and on. Diego Ribas is a top class player. . . No matter what you say. Will he change Chelsea? . . Absolutely. I stand by that any day. You say Juventus changed their formation because it suits Diego and now they are failing. . Yet you blame Carllotti for not playing what suits Lampard . . Another round of contradictory statements. Never consistent. Look Lampard and Diego can play together. . . There is no reason for me to suggest otherwise. . . Why I wanted Lampard sold is that I see no sense in paying a player over 30 £130,000 a week. It is bullshit. . . We've been doing so for going 3 years now. . What have we won? He can stay till he retires if he would accept £80,000. But it won't happen because according to you, if Lampard still has assists and goals in him, why sell him? Bullsh.it! It is a mentality that we can't go on except so so so. . Exactly why up to 11 of all our player are 29 or over. I have eventually talked about it. . . . . Satisfied? I have been consistent. . Still defending my points even after years of stating them. Now back to you Mr consistent. Tell us, 1. Why you thot Lamps performance was hindered by a Viral infection recovery earlier, only for you to try a 180 on us saying he was tracking full backs. . 2. Was he tracking full backs when we attacked as well? . . . 3. When he had the ball, did he pass on to a player and run to hug Maicon?. . . 4. Lamps has the ball in Midfield and Maicon in further back at least 10 yards most times. . How does that prevent Lamps from making a good pass. ? 5. Since Lamps was covering the full backs through out the game (according to you), does that not contradict the fact that they sat in their half through out and "not having holes in their back" . . How in this world are both events able to oocur simultaneously? . . . |
Your sh.it is of all men most astonishing. . . Just imagine what you trying again. . . another spin! Spin master. . . I did say Debo was speculating. . but there is no way in this world you can put a spin on my scenario. . Look at these two clauses I used even when I used speculating. . . "What's to say?" . . . "Why can't we?". If this isn't speculation to you what was it. . . ? Debo was trying to act like he knew and I was telling him that he didn't . . . We were both speculating. . . I don't even need to do a thorough explanation. . . Now contrast that to your scenario. . . We dominated the central midfield despite Lamps being off colour. . . that was thanks to Mikel and Ballack mostly. If our midfield is poor, what will you say about Inters midfield. . . . especially as we dominated possession almost exclusively? And then. Anyone thinking Chelsea dominated is deluded. Did it occur to y'all that Inter attacked when they wanted to, and allowed us to attack when THEY wanted toYou are a stupendous dunce if you think you can argue your way out of this. . Yours is a blatant error. . . For all your presumptions about being astoundingly perspicacious, you can't decipher a simple error, I am shocked to say the least. You feel proud telling me this is how we Nigerians do blah blah blah. . . am I from Turkmenistan? Quit this lecture bro. Evasion Part 3. . . please come back to this. 1. ? 5. Since Lamps was covering the full backs through out the game (according to you), does that not contradict the fact that they sat in their half through out and "not having holes in their back" . . How in this world are both events able to oocur simultaneously? . . . I said it after the game, Carllotti got the attitude for the game wrong. He wanted to sit back and chill hoping we get a goal later on in the game. I know JM won't do that. I will never accept though that he got the tactics wrong. . . Never. At least I am consistent at something. . .and I am not afraid about being wrong . . . If it turns out to be wrong I was still consistent. But For you today who says "My line of reasoning was consistent". . . . Let's do a recap of your "line of reasoning" over the season. Nairaland: Mr Ibime. . . Why do you think Chelsea are dropping points? Ibime: It's the diamond that makes us drop crucial points. Ibime: If we switch to a 4-3-3 we will be flying. Nairaland: I also noticed, Lampard has not had top form this season. Ibime: It's the diamond. Lampard is useless in a diamond. . In a 4-3-3 he has all the space and he will back to his best. Even Ballack will look like a brand new midfielder. Nairaland: Is that true Mr Ibime? Ibime: Oh Yes Nairaland, We never lose in a 4-3-3 Nairaland: I can see we won convincingly when we switched to a 4-3-3. Mr Ibime. Ibime: I told you once we switch to a 4-3-3, it's game. Nairaland: Hey Mr Ibime we have switched to a 4-3-3, yet Chelsea still dropping points. Ibime: It's not a real 4-3-3. . It's a pseudo 4-3-3. Nairaland: But everyone who saw the game noticed we played a 4-3-3. Ibime: They are all blind, it was a diamond disguised as a 4-3-3. Scolari-esque formation. . .Look at this (reaches for his tactics board - begins moving players.) Nairaland: Still the points keep floating away Mr Ibime. Ibime: It's the advancing full backs that caused the problem. Nairaland: Not the 4-3-3 again? Ibime: And that too. . . Oh no Sorry . . I meant the pseudo 4-3-3 and the advancing full backs. Nairaland: What about Lampard. . He plays on the left of midfield now doesn't he? Why has he been poor? Ibime: He had a virus. He can be excused. Nairaland: But he recovered. Ibime: Yes he did but he was made to track the full backs so the virus came back. Nairaland: Aaah! I see. Ibime: What did you think? Nairaland: We think it's because he lacks the creativity to anchor the midfield. Plus he is getting old now. Ibime: Naah! . . Lampard is the fittest player in the world. He can do a Zanetti. I dare you to pull out stats showing anyone better. Nairaland: How did we do against Inter Mr Ibime. ? Ibime: We dominated the central midfield despite Lamps being off colour. . . that was thanks to Mikel and Ballack mostly. Nairaland: Nice to hear that Mr Ibime. Some id.iots were saying Chelsea's midfield was poor. Ibime: If our midfield is poor, what will you say about Inters midfield. . . . especially as we dominated possession almost exclusively? Nairaland: Almost exclusively? Ibime: Yes. Absolutely. Nairaland: Hey Mr Ibime, I heard someone saying Chelsea dominated against Inter (trick question) Ibime: Anyone thinking Chelsea dominated is deluded. Did it occur to y'all that Inter attacked when they wanted to, and allowed us to attack when THEY wanted to Nairaland: This dude must have MPD! . . He's a different man every time. ![]() Ibime: Sorry? Nairaland: No not you. Thanks Mr Ibime for the season-long interview. We will keep in touch. Ibime: Anytime. . . . [opens door and leaves interview room] Nairaland: shakes head! Which kain person be dis sef? |
Hehehehe. . Spin master. Ibime don fire me. . . Ok Ibime is trying to educate us on the classes of the word dominate. . . . I said dominate in terms of. . . I meant dominate in that. . . Blah blah blah. . O boy leave that thing. . You goofed and you have been found out. . . Don't get all smartie on us. . WTF do you mean by Dominated in terms of possession. . .? Could you please explain how it is possible to dominate otherwise. ? This guy is funny. . Sign off now. . You are losing it. . You said that we dominated in two earlier posts. . . and you went ahead to say anyone who says so is deluded in a later one. Whether you meant dominated as possession to hurt or not hurt is a different thing entirely. It's got nothing to do with context. You used the word dominated in three places and a perfectly contradictory scenario was established. . You suddenly want to change everything back to tactics. . that one no work here. . . Your evasive techniques have also not gone unnoticed . . . You failed to provide reasons for these: 1. Why you thot Lamps performance was hindered by a Viral infection recovery eaarlier, only for you to try a 180 on us saying he was tracking full backs. . 2. Was he doing so when we attacked as well? . . . 3. When he had the ball, did he pass on to a player and run to hug Maicon?. . . 4. Lamps has the ball in Midfield and Maicon in further back at least 10 yards most times. . How does that prevent Lamps from making a good pass. ? 5. Since Lamps was covering the full backs through out the game (according to you), does that not contradict the fact that they sat in their half through out and "not having holes in their back" . . How in this world are both events able to oocur simultaneously? . . . Now you are diverting to all other garbage you keep forcing down our throats. What has that got to do with what we are saying now? You've been found out. Accept it and move on buddy! ![]() |
You an a proper idiot. . . Your are quoting posts of me speculating. . . You think people can't go and find posts that contradict all the bullshit you've been talking about all these days. . . This is me on the first leg against. I am just worried about our midfield. . . We could have scored 2 and that annoys me to death. .Whatever makes you think you possess monopoly of objectivity is beyond me. This is you asking a question . . Quote from: Ibime on February 24, 2010, 11:10 PMAnd I replied. . . Never . . not a pound. . We will concede and that suddenly makes it mandatory to score two goals.Oh! Maybe someone was using my user account. . . Anuofia! Then you come up with some bullsh.it. . Lampard, Anelka and Drogba were fails tonight. You actually suggested Lampard had a bad game in Milan because he had a virus he had recovered from for days. . . Must you always lick his backside. . ? This is an example of you always finding excuses why he fails in his creative duties. . I just find it hilarious that you didn't remember your "covering the full back" shitzo then . . Fast forward to 3 weeks . . Lamps has an even poorer game in the return, suddenly "he is covering the full backs, so he couldn't perform his duties". If you don't understand the difference between defence and attack, get some help. If lamps was covering the full backs. . . 1. Was he doing so when we attacked as well? . . . 2. When he had the ball, did he pass on to a player and run to hug Maicon?. . . 3. Lamps has the ball in Midfield and Maicon in further back at least 10 yards most times. . How does that prevent Lamps from making a good pass. ? 4. Since Lamps was covering the full backs through out the game (according to you), does that not contradict the fact that they sat in their half through out and "not having holes in their back" . . How in this world are both events able to oocur simultaneously? . . . You are bombarding everyone with more and more garbage and you really think you are making sense? Explain all these if you really think you are that savvy . . Let me show you more bullshit. . . . This was you after the Milan game. . . We dominated the central midfield despite Lamps being off colour. . . that was thanks to Mikel and Ballack mostly. If our midfield is poor, what will you say about Inters midfield. . . . especially as we dominated possession almost exclusively? Now people look at this. . . Quote from: Ibime on Today at 06:39:51 PMI don't think it's right to call yourself deluded. . Don't you think so? . . .We can all now see how well you read the tactics. Crap master! |
HNIC:I don dey dream sef. . . |
These guys just mess up for last minute sha. . e don finish. . |
Cristalz:Hehehe. . You are cracking me up . . |
Carlton. . |
Cristalz:Hehehe . . Sure he does. ![]() |
Campbell is on a yellow. . West Ham can work out something for him. , You know? And then go ahead to brush them aside. . . Who just troway penalty now? |
Yay!!!!!! E don hapun. |
These 2 teams are going to set my monitor on fire. . . I am flipping damn envious. . . Football at it's best. |
@Criz. I get you. I think he is just one those managers who have a philosophy of attacking football regardless of the opposition. Wenger, Pep. . . You know what I mean. I do agree with you by the way. |
Cristalz:I hope West Ham don't fire Zola. . . He's got West Ham playing good football. With a few more millions invested in this team, it'll surprise many what they could achieve. |
Best quotes on the thread so far. are you not the same nugga that has been telling us how Arsenal dispatch the smaller teams(that park the bus) with consummate ease? In essence, every style breaks down at some point or the other - a failure to vary that style will result in a team's demise. When you come up against good defenders, NO SYSTEM IS GUARANTEED TO WORK, simple! Flintstones Football. |
@Ibime., My goodness. . I have not had the time to read your response since yesterday . . Hahaha This is laughable. The fact that i did not argue that Lampard and Ballack were tracking full backs does not mean I agree. If you look back a few posts of mine I said "Let's say you are correct for once". . I didn't want to trash out at once. . . I am however going to reply full fully but before I do that check this points from Debo. They didn't do box to box tracking either!! In essence, the tactical assignment to track fullbacks (in your own half) till they reached the Chelski defence WAS NOT the reason why Lamps and Ballack failed to attack.Absolutely brilliant. . . excatly what I told you. Lamps and ballack can only track full backs when they defend. . . You can't tell me they did so when we are attacking, so how did that prevent them from attacking. Your argument implies that the entire midfield of Chelski was defensive and couldn't attack and that is pure rubbish - they were simply prevented from doing so by a more disciplined side.Another fine one. . . Infact this largely contradicts his notion that we went gung ho against Inter. . While they were cautious. Because of your hang up on formation, you will forever be blinded into thinking that is the cause of the failure and refusing to see that a 32 and 34 year old are getting more ineffectual against opponents who are more savvy and disciplined. This just sums up everything I have been telling him. Coming form someone outside. Lamps are ballack are superstars against the prem small boys. . but against stiffer and more quality opposition, it's a dead end. Simple! If you can't see this, I can't help. |
FBS:And I ask you again. What is the chance we will win something in 10years if we don't stay out of the radar. There no probability. Rebuilding systematically is what I suggest as well but it's not like it guarantees anything more. don't make it sound like on is better. . . Mr Debo. I will refer to Arsenal all I want. I don't want to go 5 years without a trophy in the name of rebuilding is why I refer to Arsenal. The media did not get carried with anything. They reported what they saw. because ManU and Chelsea drop an unprecedented number of points, you now are acting like you went to wait for everyone in front. . See you talking like you knew it from the start. Even you came here on this thread. . . saying "Well done Chelsea The title is your to lose now". . now jus like a typical gayner, you are offered a life-line and we no go rest. Just like you didn't think you will be in this position weeks ago, you don't know if you will win anything yet. So don't go all confident on us. You are not in this position because of your brilliance, rather because of others' failure. I think there is a clear difference. |
@FBS It's the right thing to do. We have not rebuilt and yet haven't won anything for 3 years except FACup. So do you say we continue like this. the fear of not winning anything is what encapsulates the mainds of many Chelsea fans. Longevity of the club is more important to me. And to the other thing. . . Stuff like that don't happen in the Prem. Torres will never play for Chelsea. . Simple as! |
U do realise Drogba and Anelka offer so much more than the embryos in Arsenal and the paraplegics in Liverpool? When I say we shouldn't rely on them always, I don't mean comparing them with Arsenal. How baout Rooney at 24, Messi, Ronaldo. I know these players don't abound everywhere. . but if Kakuta was a ManU player the whole world would have known about a rising star because he will feature very very frequently. One person?Hang on. . . You were the one who came up with the one person thing. You said the difference between JM's success and Carllotti's was Essien's fitness. . which meant one person. Na you talk am. You didn't say four persons then did you. ? |
FBS:FBS was that not why I said "stay out of the spot light for a year or two" ? It means not winning anything. So yes, others won't wait but at least we will come back to win. My own kind of rebuilding however, is not to lift the boys from the academy to the first team. It's buying young, talented player with potential. That's way, we don't rebuild forever and at the same time, we don't spend senselessly on established stars. |
We did sign Michael Owen and he won a Cup final for us. Grin Grin Grin GrinThese fellas were not playing 90 mins in every game and they were not the ones the whole team relied upon for winning games. They only came in when needed for matches changing possibilities. Don't you get that? Drogba 32 and Anelka 30 must play. . If they don't, no play. Whereas you have Rooney who scores like it's breathing. He's 24. That's the way a team should be. Mourinho's success was because he had Claude Makelele - forget about those wide players.Yes correct about Maka. However he game play was about pacy players on the flanks. After he bought Essien, He won the League and FACup. . hardly any different from what he achieved before. Hiddink succeeded because Michael Essien came back from injury. . . . .If one person goes injured and the team goes to sleep, does it not tell you a lot about the team. Meanwhile the guys who aren't injured are on a 130,000 a week. |
This Torres thing is rubbish. How many times have we heard it before. ? Nobody heard what Carllotti and Roman said. However, Roman will definitely know that it's time to sign the cheques again. I'm sure he is sick and tired of all these average crap we celebrate as genius. I am also sure he watches a Barca match in the evening after a Chelsea one and thinks "Oh How I wish" . . . But I don't want us shelling out millions on Torres and Kaka and Messi. I want us to spot the next ones. . . Stay out of the spotlight for a year or two and rebuild. We will go on and dominate for years to come. If we had bitten the bullet and laid-off en-masse two years ago and started rebuilding we would have had a mean machine by now. Now it's obvious to all and sundry that we have to. (Well, except some). Rebuild or self-destruct. |
@Chac ~All that you were saying is crap. Do Giggs and Scholes 90mins every game CL, PL and FA Cup.? How dare you say age is only a number.? Why don't you re-sign Andy Cole then? Secondly, when Essien is fit, he can do a lot. . but Muorinho's success was because he had young pacy players out wide. and strong powerful players in defence and he had Makalele. JM achieved a lot even before he bought Essien. And Hiddink succeeded because he was a breath of fresh air. I only recently deleted a video of an interview of Hiddink's with Jeff, He said he told Roman that squad is old and it needs re-structuring but they will do fine for now. That was 40 matches ago. |
