Are you minding that fool called Nateevs, I should have known better than to waste my valuable time trying to debate with his a$$
So I put you in your place and shred your analogy to pieces and that's what you can come up with. . . Calling Nateevs a fool don't move him a bit.
You can't deal with anything. That's your problem . . . You can't deal with criticism, you can't deal with losses. . You can't deal with dropping points and you can't deal with a dip in form. . .

If your team puts together a decent away run, it's bonus. . . as far as I am concerned winning the PL is the ultimate for me. . . whether with 1 point or goals difference. . . in fact the less points in the leading race, the more interesting finish we get.

If you like when we win the PL, write a letter to Roman to hand it to the second as we didn't give it our best shot. . . . 3 wins out of 12 away games, so bloody what. . . This is now. Deal with it and stop whining. . .

nateevs,

Too bad i'm using a mobile, can't write much.

Please how many games have we played this season that we can call excellent?
Our home game against Everton was a disgrace, against Villa and City, same.

3 wins in 12 away games is a shame for wannabe champions.

Just before you crucify me, remember my username is BLUEdiva. I love my club but we've been just average.
We all thought CR7 absence will be an advantage to us, alas it  made no difference.
You are talking about this from memory. . .
Co-incidentally, I just watched our matches against Villa and Everton again. I had them recorded from CTV. . .
Those were two of the best games we played all season. . . Go and watch them again. . .
We made two simple mistakes in each of those games. . . and we conceded from set-pieces. . . Simple!
Everything else was right. . . If you talking about matches when we was piss poor, you have to look at City away, Hull away, Portsmouth Home, West Ham away. . .
Two games against Arsenal - Excellent. . . Burnley excellent. Spurs fantastic. Liverpool Superb.

Go back and watch these matches. . . . that's how I while away 90minutes when I am less busy. I must have watched every of our games like 3 times each so I know what I am talking about.

What you guys are talking about is a myth. . , There's no rule that says a team that wins the PL should walk over other teams. . . home and away.
How have ManU and Arsenal preformed season long. . . They have been piss poor as well. . . but will they grab the PL in a flash, you bet they will.

Look, I am not arguing that we have not been poor in some games neither am I saying we've not been average. . but have we given everything our best under the circumstances? You bloody damn right we have.

I don't know what you guys expected from all of the players. . . many of them are average anyway. . . When I talk about the players, y'all say I am chatting bullsh.it . . Now y'all saying they haven't done their best.

If you give the opportunity to shake the team, only Cech, Terry, Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Ashley, Essien and Anelka I will keep every other player of the 22 is crap and average. . . and you are expecting the best. . . Ballack is 33 and he plays 90mins 2ce every week and you expect him to stunning everytime . . . How does that happen. . ?

As for me considering all the factors, they all have given it their best shot. . . They can't do more.

That's not to say they still can't win a treble. . .

you are chatting garbage. In your daft logic, the team's assessment on how well they have perfomed should factor in the competition.

which means, making atrocious individual errors game after game and conceding cheap goals that sometimes cost us 2 or 3 pts that could easily have

been avoided, is giving it our best shot simply because we are on top of the league, what a totally flawed logic

How about  the whole top four teams (man utd, chelsea, liverpool, arsenal) have not giving it their all, this season.

We can use the analogy of a student who has the ability and potential to consistently get a 1st class and perfoms below par in a sem

( ending up with a 2.1/2.2) and in your rather pathetic defense of him you turn around and say he gave it his best shot simply because he is leading the class.

"giving it ones best shot" is not about leading the table but meeting or exceeding expectation in relative to ones ability and potential, now take that to the

bank
Never in the history of bullsh.it has anyone spilled so much bullsh.it.
Never in your life use such an analogy here again . . . You think you are talking to your little cousins?

A Student writing an exam is not against any competition. His class mates have no bearing on whether he finishes with a 2.1/2.2 . .
It's him against the exam . . . It boils down to whether he knows it or not.

Very different from a Student scoring points by knocking his Class mates out. . . Every class mate is a competition preventing him from taking full points to lead the class. Even if he has always had the potential to knock all of them out and lead the class by a large margin. . . What about the competitive factors. . ?
His Class mates may have become more skilful at defending knock-outs. .
They may have built bigger bodies with stiffer resistance to being knocked out.
The student in question may have been weakened from constantly knocking students out. . . Maybe slightly older. . . Maybe out of form. . . Maybe facing domestic issues.

All sorts of external factors out of the control of the student. How dare you compare that with a Student who writes his own glory on a piece of paper. . ?
How daft. . .

In the analogy I gave above, the student would be considered to have given it his best shot. Whether you argue from here to Saturn.

And don't give me that crap of every top four side not giving it their all . . .
How about a decent appreciation of the smaller teams becoming stronger. . . ?

I don't blame you becos all you concentrate on is the top four and we "it's our right to roll over small teams" . . . Go to the bottom of the table and see what is happening there. . .except Portsmouth who may be deducted 9 points for going into administration, all teams from Bolton in 13th position downward are in danger of relegation. . . If I am right about the stats, they say it's the tightest race in about 12 seasons. Is that the fault of the big four not giving it their all as well. . ?

Teams below have gotten better and nothing the big four can do about it. . If you like call it what you like . . .
Please point to me one season where "conceding cheap goals that sometimes cost us 2 or 3 pts that could easily have been avoided" never happened. . . . Just one season please. . . . and I will respond with "We probably didn't give it our best shot in that season then" even though we topped the table and won the league. . .

Absolute crap from top to bottom. . .

Nateevs,

We've been here before. We led for most of last season and lost steam towards the end.

A determined team will know when to take all 3pts. It should be our birthright to win against the smaller teams.
Ok I can sum up your post to mean the team is not determined. . . cos I don't know how else to look at it.
How you came about that, you have to explain to us all.

Other explanations could be since Chelsea have amassed more points than any other team after the same number of games, we might as well assume that every other team is not determined. Let's write off the premiership as a league of undetermined teams. .

How can it possibly be our birth right to beat smaller teams? Even ManU fans that know what every particle on the PL trophy looks like don't make such claims.

No other team has gone through worse off-field issues safe for Portsmouth than Chelsea season long.

New manager - pressure to compete, show intent and win something.
No major new signings.
Oldest players in the premiership.
Kakuta saga. .
Transfer ban.
African cup of Nations.
John Terry saga.
Ashley Cole wahala.
and now a flurry of injuries. . . left right and centre. Cech, Essien, Ashley, Bosingwa, Zhirkov, Carvalho all out for perhaps the rest of the season. Add these players to Spurs now and they will have a sure top four players, that's how important they are.

If you think that understand all the circumstances you think we have not done well, I can't help it. Go ahead.

Some of us still believe that until May has come and gone, a treble is very very possible.

Who said anything about taking maximum pts from every single game huh, if our inconsistency over the course of this season is your idea of "giving it our best

shot" then you should bury your head in shame, best shot ko, best shot ni.
Since you possess the key to this sacred room of profound knowledge, why don't you kindly educate us on your idea of "giving it our best shot". . .
According to you giving it our best shot would mean us being at least 15pts ahead. .

Now I ask you again what gives you the right to feel this way?

If we led the table for 95% of the season and you think we didn't give it our best shot, why don't you walk over to North London . . .
Get a grip man, you are losing perspective . . . In a league where every team has dropped more points than Chelsea after 28 matches you are actually suggesting we didn't give it our best shot. . . What then should the others say?

Absolute bollocks!

How much will it cost to convert a 2001 Honda HRV to LHD?. . . What worries me the most is that the master controls are on the driver's side, can they be converted to the right?

Also how much will it cost to convert a 2001 Landrover Freelander to LHD as well?

Thanks.

@nateevs,

I love your optimism.
11 pts lead to no point lead doesn't exactly seem like giving it 'our best shot'.
jalether:
You dey mind d guy, losing twice in feb alone and picking up 3pts out of possible 9 is nateevs idea of "giving it our best shot"

Jesus wept
This is absolute garbage. . .
What exactly do you expect us to do? Roll over teams like they didn't come to compete. ?
What gives you the right to think you can't lose matches . . . ?
What right do you have to believe that you must take 3 points in every game?

How did we go 11 pts clear in the first place ? . . Was it not becos Arsenal and Manu dropped 11 points?
So we drop 11 points we suddenly didn't give it our best shot and they did? Or according to you we don't deserve to win the PL because of our performance.

If we lead ManU with 1 point and Arsenal with 3 after our supposed woeful performance of late and we don't deserve to win it then who does?
You lot are spoilt fans who think we deserve 3 points in every game and when we don't get the points, we don't deserve anything or we haven't given it our best shot.

This is shameful and hopeless pride. . .
