Nateevs
Pls wake up from your slumber and look at the big picture.
Big four results haven't contributed significantly to us winning the league in the last two seasons.
This result just gives you bragging rights. ok?
Who has said otherwise?
You are the one that should wake up. . .

The result gives us bragging right just like Evans kicking Drogba gives you bragging rights. . .
What have I done wrong ?

@Emperoh. .

What is on ground that I have failed to see?
That we got 3pts . . or that you guys are celebrating a kick. . .
I don't see it mate. .

@Eastbay. . .

I know those sort of responses.
These ones you give when there's nothing to say.

And hey! I didn't see Fergie time against ManCity on that list. . .
How about the Bolton disallowed goal. . . ?

too many words
every other season we won the league thrice in a row had different variables
the only similar thing with them is the winner
those are endogenous variables that may not necessarily affect the bulls eye
like one local musician said in his song
same ni
postulate from now till april, when the deciding factors starts, the outcome will be for all to see
Buncha double-standard twats. . .
So you know there are always variables. . . Yet you use ManU copping 5pts off of the big-four last season as a yard stick to believe that come may it don't matter if Chelsea have 18 pts ManU will win. .
And there are variables. . .

Like you said, let's wait and see.

I like the fact that you guys feel relaxed about the whole scenario. . Afterall it's Utd. . We'll be topping the table by December.
I wonder if you have a draw in the next few games. . . What could happen?

lol, nothn do me
my bad. we got just 5 pts from the big games last season but we still won the league
lets see hw it goes tho
Last season you had Ronaldo and Tevez. . . This season you have Valencia and Owen.
Last season we had Scolari. . . This season have Ancellotti.

Last season we were marking Zonally, this season we have a man on the ends of the post. . .
Last season we didn't buy in January. . . This season we will.

Last season we dropped 18pts at Bridge. . This season we've dropped nada!
So many variables, . . So many differences.

You guys still think every season is the same. . . open your eyes mate.

But like you said let's see aw it goes.

because you can write doesn't mean you're smart. You were the first person to draw ana analogy between big four victories and the title.
like i said, you manage to write so much and say so little at the same time.
As for your half-assed attempt to lump us with Arsenal, well it failed miserably. We have titles to back up our claims.Unlike you guys.3 league titles in some 60+years of existence.WORD.That's what i've been trying to explan to prof all this time.
Once again you are wrong. . .
Yes I drew up an analogy btw big four victories and the title. . I did.
However, I don't remember saying after copping 6pts against the big four, then you are on your way to win the title. . . Now that's the position Chelsea are in now.

so since I didn't make the 6-point assertion . . . It will still be wrong for you to use the phrase "Celebrating too early" . . . about what? . . I never said any of the big four will win the title (neither did I say close to) after getting 6pts.

This brings us back to the same issue. . . Your difficulty to understand simple sentences.

Do you really think I care how many titles you've won. . ? Really only ManU fans care. . . We will win the title when we deserve to. 3 in 60 years. 1 in 100 years. . Na you sabi.
Only sore losers resort to "At least I win am past you" when they lose. . .

Eastbay:
WORD.That's what i've been trying to explan to prof all this time.
and just in case you did not see the reply . . .I said, we did not get the 3pts last season. . .
So effectively, you haven't been explaining anything to this "PROF" "All this time"!

if i say you're celebrating too early, you'll come here and ejaculate your volumes and epistles.Very funny but DD hasn't managed an attempt at goal against united since
That's becos you still don't understand simple sentences.
Tell me how it can be too early to celebrate 3pts especially when I said "3pts on Sunday". .

You can only use "celebrating too early" in conjunction with a situation that hasn't been attained yet. . Not for one you've had. . Like 3pts on Sunday and being 5pts clear.
What has celebrating too early got to do with that. . . ? Oh! maybe Fergie's Ref-rants could cos the FA to rescind the 3pts and magically make ManU go top of the table before the next round of matches. . . Or how else do we explain your "celebrating too early" . . ?

You'll be fully allowed to use that phrase if I have insinuated that by leading the table now, it's an indication of a potential nicking of the title.
And since I am yet to say that. . . You are wrong using that phrase. . .

Geddit?  cheesy cheesy

See aw much I have to write to get you to understand a simple sentence. . .

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's also very funny that you fellas are now reduced to counting how many goals Drogba has not scored against you.
It's like what happens in the Arsenal camp. . . "Hey we don't have a win but at least we'll celebrate something . . hmmm! Yay! Vermaleen can score"

3 pages of "Drogba hasn't scored against Utd ever" . . . Unbelievable! . . Is that the best you fellas can do?
Who cares? . . Hey We, Chelsea, got the 3pts! . . . all that matters!

nateevs,
How can you explain that you had no corner kicks at home?
I don't know what you mean by "marginally".
Cus United didn't deserve to lose. What were the possession stats for the second hal, please? And what do you mean by meaningful possession?
The only difference, even though I do't want to look at it as a reason, was the dodgy ref.
As for the top four clashes, the Liverpool you mentioned should be a pointer that the winner of the games between top four doesn't count.
Liverpool took 14 out of a possible 18 and didnt win the league.
As far as I'm concerned, you should not yet rejoice. It's not even up to a third of the league games and you're already ejaculating.
Leave long thing,abeg.
This was a lucky win,as far as I'm concerned. But we'll go on.I think you sound like you've already achieved your season's aim.
The ability to see where one is coming from hs always been your problem.
You can't quote me rejoicing. . I have said Chelsea will win the prem either. .
I have reiterated time and again. .

The table stays the same 5pts clear.
We are taking every game one after another. . and hope to take 3 pts in every game.
We will grind out results where we can and rampage when we can.

How is that premature rejoicing. .?

You should read mate.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by nateevs(m): 2:23pm On Nov 09, 2009
Chelsea will play the same way is the key Ibime.
Four in midfield against their 2 cause they have to play 2 upfront.

Different game entirely and the same at the Emirates, Anfield and WHL.
Aston Villa pounded you into submission. Add that to the list of bad games Chelsea have played.

I did not say Evans didn't deserve a RED CARD.
All i said was the referee saw Drogba attempting to barge into Evans and that was why he booked Drogba.
If he had seen Evans' flying kick. . . . .Evans woulda walked.

U did not. . . . . . .U said United were there for the taking as Vidic was on the bench.
U told us Drogba has made it his job to score in every game at SB and reh reh reh.

Marginally?
Deco, Lampard, Essien, Ballack and Drogba had no impact in the game throughout 90 mins.
Rooney was put through in the 1st half by Anderson. . . . . .Rooney one on one with Cech can only produce one result. . .GOAL.
Before then, Terry nearly tore Valencia's shirt apart in the box. . . . .That woulda been a RED for Terry(being the last man) and a pen. for United.

All your BIG games have been at HOME so the fixtures have favoured you.
Liverpool(SB), Tottenham(SB), Man Utd(SB).
We shall see when you visit the Emirates, OT, Anfield and White Hart Lane.

That is because United have a track record to back it up.
Chelsea don't have that CV yet so there's always going to be doubts in the mind of the fans.
Aston Villa did not pound us into submission. We were better than Aston Villa on the day. We didn't take our chances and we conceded cheap goals.
I am talking about bad games we had. Games were we didn't just turn up.

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-278163.2848.html
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-348177.32.html

This was me talking about a draw before the game. Way before the game. Debo quoted me.
and me saying everyone is making mouth. I am objective. I have always been.
You will never be as long as Utd is involved.

And Yes Marginally I said. These are the stats of the game.
because you made all the fine passes and broke up our play, You had more possession.
You pressured us more pushing us to our goal . . hence the corner kicks.

but we had the more effective play, we had more shots on goal and forced more saves.

Shots (on Goal)   12(6)   18(2)
Fouls                   13         15
Corner Kicks             0 7
Offsides                     1 2
Time of Possession 47% 53%
Yellow Cards             3 3
Red Cards             0 0
Saves                     2 5

All the big games have been at the Bridge. . Why can't we go away and draw. . . or win.
Liverpool did a double on you last season with your so called "fine form" Why can't we.
I have decided not to make predictions this season but I am going to do this one.

We win beat Arsenal at Emirates and Spurs at WHL. . and I will be here to hear what you say.

Chelsea won 1-0. 5pts clear and that is all that matters for now.
Predicting doom is all you can mange for now.
While you are at that, we will grind out results when we have to and steam-roll when we have to.

It's all about the 3pts.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by nateevs(m): 1:13pm On Nov 09, 2009
You talk so much shit.

Besides the Wigan game, yesterday's game was Chelsea's worst game of the season.
So now you think by having 2 bad games in the season so far, we can't win the prem.
You were worse against Liverpool than what we were yesterday. . yet Utd are good enough and Chelsea are not.

Drogba was "GOING TO" barge into Evans, so he deserved to be booked . .
Evans "KICKED" . . . but doesn't deserve to be booked.

So much shit.

So of us are really objective.
I said on my thread that I would be conservative and settle for a draw.
I said on the live thread that people were making too much mouth and they should thread with caution.

I accept you were marginally better than us yesterday. I accept that the free kick was a 50-50. . Objectivity. .
but you. . . As long as Utd are involved, you just roll.

Two days ago you were telling how Utd could lose to all the big four and win the prem. . Small team win matter was what you said.
We have rolled over the small teams and gone one further by picking up 6pts from an available 18. . and yet we still not good enough.

If Utd were in this position, the only thing we will hear you say is "Only May Matters". .
Now it's Chelsea, "We are not good enough"

So much shit.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by nateevs(m): 12:52pm On Nov 09, 2009
tkb419 said the game ManU played yesterday proves Chelsea can't win the premiership. . . He thinks ONE game proves we can't win the premiership. .
Unfortunately ManU can only decide twice against us in a season where the title goes. . and we've won one of the deciders.

I am taking every game one after another. I am not saying Chelsea will win the premiership but I am struggling to see why we can't win.
5 pts clear for now. Next up Wolves.

One game after another.
