@Loyika @Mcomo

You think I care if you think I make sense or not. You think I want to hear you say . . . ok ok Nateevs. . . You make a lot of sense. . . . I don't because you are an arsenal.

Weeks ago, a bunch of you lot thot you will have a jolly ride to lifting the title. Now the language you use is , the title race is still open. . . . How come none of you is saying we will win it? and not. . . . the title race is still open. . . . . it's simple, because you can see it right in your eyes that it's slipping away.

Now McOmo says they never said they were going to win every match. how about a draw with birmingham at the emirates. . . did you also think that will happen?. . . . . And if you beat Spurs on tuesday would you say they expended  all energy getting a draw against you and then losing to chelsea. . and that's why you beat them?

Utter rubbish! only such from Arsenal fans.

still going strong ?. . . . . . . . Yeah right!!!!   You and I no what happens on this thread when you are going strong.

HNIC:
@ nateevs
Four seasons without a trophyhuh huh huh huh
Do your calculations very well, even if we finish this season trophyless(which can't happen), it will be 3 years and not 4.Who won the FA cup in 2005?? Chelseahuh huh huh, Please, let's stick to facts, tongue tongue
HNIC . . . . I am very sorry about the calculations I should have said 3 seasons without a trophy.

Wait a minute . . . . . . . . 3 seasons without a trophy. . . that, by no ordinary means is a comfortable zone for Arsenal.

Did I see you type "which can't happen"? I bet you think you will win the champions League, FA cup and Premiership.

You guys are fast becoming used to being trophyless. End this season trophyless and I want to see those of you that still believe in Wenger and his youth policy.

It's like you guys don't see what i'm seeing. Ballack is the most improved player in that squad. But what happens to mikel after the nations cup? He should pray for a lampard's 6 months injury. What formation are when going to use when the african guys come back?
I see players like mikel, kalou, shev, pizarro kissing the bench for long especially if anelka becomes a hit.
Actually when mikel comes back from nations cup he is going to keep his place. Reason is . . he is a holding midfielder and neither Lamps nor Ballack can play that role. Makalele does . . . but he is 35 remember.

So the fight for the midfield either in a 4-4-2 or a 4-3-3 is going to be between
lamps and ballack. . . . and then there is essien.

So Mikel keeps his place.

Your post is high on grammar and low on sense when did we ever lead the table with 9 points and a game in hand.

We played well but as usual lacked the killer punch in front of goal we had no business drawing this game but we did.Has Man Utd lifted the titlehuh? not quite yall saw what happened the last time you guys couldnt hold on to the lead for 72 hrs so now is not the time for yall to start talking greasy a lot can and will still change
Have you noticed I do not reply your slanders with with slanders? I am more than that. If you read well I did not use the term led the table. Actually digest it well.

nateevs:
Chelsea wins and Man u wins convincingly. you are four points ahead when it used to be 9 points with a match in hand. You feel things slipping away and with very poor form and all you can do is refer to our draw against everton and aston villa.
If you read well, I said you are now four points ahead. So what do you think I was referring to? Chelsea of course.

So when I later said you used to be 9 points ahead with a match in hand who was I referring to?

Do you NOW LEAD THE TABLE WITH FOUR POINTS. no you don't. So why did you refer to the LEAD THE TABLE when I said you used to  BE AHEAD WITH 9pts? Especially when MY two REFERENCES were in the same sentence.

Be quick to learn. Not quick to slander

Ok if you did not know, we were third in the league when that happened and had nothing to lose. You are drawing games with teams you should pound seriously and with matches against ManU, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and ManCity coming up.

Arsenal 1 - 1 Birmingham. oooooooppppssss!!!!!!

What is happening to this thread? I have constantly said this thread is only full when Arsenal wins. Now what happens?

Arse-anal will win the league. Really? let's see aw they bounce back. What they do not understand is that you don't run a football club like you run a finance house. Arsenal is the richest club . . . European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by nateevs(m): 8:41pm On Jan 12, 2008
What a match!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First things first. . . . I have to praise Mr. Grant for the good work . . . . Ok he is using the same team . . . but we must not forget the fact that he is stretched to the limit. With the limited players in the side he still manages to pull out results.

Now, I was watching Gillette Soccer Saturday and four suppossed football pundits were asked what they felt will be the result of the game and this is how they voted.

1st guy said Draw
2nd guy said Spurs win and he said because spurs have been in form
3rd guy said draw
4th guy said draw

It so amazing how people constanly under estimate the graet depths in this team. So people think it is not possible to come out with results so much so that even spurs will beat us at the bridge!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTH!!!! is going on . . . is it that people have forgotten Chelsea? We were six points behind the league leaders before the game and people had gievn up on chelsea. Na wa ooooo. For your information if you are one of those that did give up . . . . please think twice.

That was some game of football. I must praise every single player except Pizzarro . . . Tottenham will tell you they have not seen chelsea so professional in every department of the pitch. The defensive work was first class.

SWP came up with some magic. Belletti is fast becoming a 30-yarder expert. The man of the moment, Anelka, had two half chances. . worked the goal keeper at first and hit the wood work on the second. He will be a hit. . . . .definitely.

Great game overall. . We are very much in the race. . . . and this is how you know. . . . It is as simple as if we win all our matches we win the premiership! ! ! !. I believe we can do it. . . Yes I do.

74 matches unbeaten at home. Y 'all don't have a clue. The premiership is BLUE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by nateevs(m): 6:57pm On Jan 11, 2008
Mikel is young player and he will learn. Mikel did not start his playing career as a defensive midfielder rather he started as a creative mifielder . . . . . the role he played with the U-17 in Finland 2003 and U-21 in 2005. To move from that role into the holding midfield role. . and not just that but to show a good example of a competent and dependable replacement for the ageing Makalele, shows the great reserves of adaptability embedded in this young man.

It doesn't only involve change in pattern and style but an overall change in mentality. By coming after the good works of Maka means stepping into big shoes.

He used to get the ball and look for attackers. Now he gets the ball and the first thing is not to lose it but use it in the way Maka would. That is not easy. You think it is, then let's start thinking about making Rosicky a defensive midfielder. He must not lose the ball and at the same time he must snuff out every creative build-up of the opponents and see if he won't rack up red cards like drogba scores goals.

Mikel's great adaptability will make him learn how to snatch the ball without throwing the efforts of his team mates into jeopardy.

Mikel will grow. He will learn. He will become a great player for CHelsea and Nigeria.

Aw do you see the deal?. I think he will be a good signing but I wish he can always play in front of Ballack and not Lampard.

He could be on the bench tomorrow against spurs. Rightfully he should not but men. . . we are going as a barre army into that match.

Enough of all this youth team crap.

Many of the players that played yesterday are players wenger would have fielded in a premiership game.

Fabianski is your second choice keeper since lehman is leaving.
Hoyte has played a good amout of premiership games, he is a reserve player.
Traore is a young player but will be the player that comes in should Clichy be injured.
Senderos , Djorou was on laon to a premiership side.
Gilberto must be a young player.
Denilson has had a handful of premiership games and so has Diaby.
Walcott would have broken into the team not for injuries.
What would you say about Nik, Dudu and RVP these are premiership players.

There is a clear difference between a reserve team and a youth team. Arsenal talk about these guys like they are some academy boys. The guys have good premiership experience and are only young in terms of age but they are reserve players and not a youth team.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by nateevs(m): 1:58pm On Jan 10, 2008
@Loyika,

I talked about chelsea fielding a second or third string side against everton. Yes I did. The manner of the victory is the bone of contention. Even though we lost the best midfielder on the pitch behind Ballack. . . We did not manage a win . . . We won becos the character was great. Even with ten men.

Sometimes when Chelsea plays rubbish . . . I come out and say we did play rubbish. No Arsenal fan should come here and say they drew.
You were so lucky to get a draw becos you did not play like a side that wanted a draw. You could see Wenger for the umpteenth time running to the pitch urging the kids to raise the tempo of the game and for once throughout the game. . . act like they needed a win, sorry a draw.

That's all I am about. If you guys fought back and won in the style that Arsenal is known for, this thread would have gone 6 pages far. I keep saying biut you neva accept. . . . . you never know the true Arsenal fans until they play champagne football and win.

Where have they all gone? No half time analysis. They will not come out until they score and they start making littering the whole place.

Young Gunners. Young Gunners. Young Gunners. Young Gunners. Young Gunners. grin grin

Well maybe I should start the half time analysis myself.

You see wenger made a mistake he should have robbie keane instead robbie van persie. Robinson should have been spurs' goal keeper and Lehman shouldn't have left. Toure should be brought back from ACN.

bla bla bla bla bla. Van persie is off for dudu. let's see how the second half goes.

I am watching the Arsenal - Spurs game and I sincerely hope the decision makers at the bridge are watching berbatov.

In this guy you don't just have a finisher, you have a guy that ensures continous flow of play. Deft passes, odacious vision and bringing players into play are all part of the complete arsenal in this player. He is so good even Wenger says he keeps popping up in places you don't want to see him.

Good player. I wish wish wish wish sincerely wish we can bring this guy to the bridge.

One of those days when you work your butt out to see a match and you end up not doing so. Anyways I saw a delayed transmission and I must say it is hard to take chracter down.

First team players that could not play in that match.

Cech
Terry
Ashley Cole
Makalele
Lampard
Essien
Drogba
Sheva
Kalou.  I am not saying all these players would have played, I am saying all these players are first team players and could have played. How many teams in the premiership will have 9 regulars not play and still manage 2-1 victory over a dogged everton and even when we went short one man?

That was character and I missed the tension of the live transmission. The second leg will not be easy for these everton at all. All we need to secure the fianl ticket is to score twice so that they need to score 4 times for them to win and since they are not aston villa, I don't see that happening.

I won't talk about Grant's tactics, just because he had a peculiar situation. He made scared though. I just want to see what happens in the January transfer window. We need someone that can play in the Mikel role. Sidwell is utter crap.

We are closing in on Anelka, Grant hopes to complete the signing before we play Spurs.

@Mustay

I think I am beginning to think like that these days. On a second thought however, I like the aspect of restrain on Lavishing funds on the team like he's buying new shoes. Let him run the club like a business which I am sure is what he is foing now and buying young and cheap to raise to superstars.

I just don't like the aspect of not making the desired signings at the right time.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by nateevs(m): 2:20am On Jan 07, 2008
There is something clearly wrong with Grant, Arnesen, Kenyon and Abrahamovic himself. We are approaching the second week in the January and he is still talking about speculation. Many other clubs have said they are either bringing in people or not and we are here talking about speculation.

If the reports are true that we have not made offers or Berbatov and Anelka at this stage then we are clearly doing rubbish.

This players according to Grant are suppose to give cover to the injured players and the players going to the ACN. If they are, then they should already be in the team training and getting to understand their new grounds and team mates. If we are not signing anyone, let us know. How can we be talking about speculation in the second week of the transfer window? We bring these player in few days to our crucial matches, stuff the players in the team, because they had no time to understand their team mates , they mess up their first games and they lose their confidence and then we are back to square one.

This is very inappropriate.
