No problem. There is a lot of misinformation about the church which is due to a lot of wolves masquerading as sheep. Unfortunately, it is the wolves that make the most noise so that's what people hear.

Eg, the ark of God was in the jewish temple in a room called the holy of holies...so therefore the high priest must be clean or holy to aproach such a place or els death is the penalty. But the system has changed today through christ, God now resides in us and not in a so called holy ground or place.

Yes, God lives in us through his spirit. That isn't the issue. When you enter the assembly of worship, you are in the presence of God. When standing in the presence of God, you are on holy ground for the God you meet there is holy. Again, it is symbolic.

Do you realize that in setting up His church, Jesus did not command a particular way the body of Christ was to worship. I could also ask you, "where is it commanded in the bible to where shoes in the church?" We cannot put God in a box or confine God to a mode.

You misunderstand. Was the plot of land a sacred temple when God asked Moses to take off his shoe? No. It isn't the place that is the object of attention, it is who is present at that place. And wherever God is, it is holy. Therefore in not wearing shoes in the church, Celestians are to recognize before whom they stand. They stand in God's presence.

Good question. Celestians do not wear shoes in the church in recognition that the church constitutes the place where God is, a holy place.

Celestians do not wear shoes with their sutana as a matter of injunction. The sutana connotes that, as the name of the church implies, they are citizens of heaven and not earthly. It is symbolic. To wear shoes with the sutana would have the symbol lose its meaning.

There is no injunction that says a celestian must wear their sutana on their way to church. They can wear regular clothes with shoes and change when they get to church.

But symbolism is not dogma. In unsanitary or horrible weather conditions, I would advise fellow celestians to either wear their regular clothes as they journey or if they wanted to be identified as a celestial church member, they should wear their shoes with their sutana as they journey.

There is no definitive scripture that says polygamy is a sin, yet we know that God's design is one man and one woman. Furthermore the bible details all the problems that come with polygamy. Just read the stories of Abraham, Jacob, David, Solomon, etc.

Now compare their stories with that of Isaac (who only took one wife) and then you may see the wisdom of God's design for marriage.

Actually, in Deuteronomy 17:17, there is an explicit command from God that the kings of Israel should not "multiply wives unto themselves"

I do not believe its either-or. It's both. It is the principle of faith and works the bible teaches. One without the other is death. Unfortunately many of the business men masquerading as pastors in Nigeria don't teach that. Either because they don't know or because it fills their pockets, I cannot say. Both faith and works are needed.

But allow me to say that religion is not the issue. In Nigeria, many have turned it into a business and what many "men of God" teach is a total dependency to the extreme that is actually unscriptural.

Religion is not the issue. But when you combine it with a people whose situation is so desperate and who cannot see a way out of the difficulty of their lives, then you end up with a nation of people without motive to build themselves and therefore translate their hope in God to mean that God will descend from heaven to fix the country's ills. God has given us brains for that purpose. We are the ones that must build the society that we want.

But God has blessed Nigeria in resources and in intellect. My people are some of the most brilliant in the world.

There is as much evil being done by the worm when it lives off the fish as when that fish eats its own prey. It isn't evil as you have called it. Is the lion that eats a wild bust evil? All you can do is pray for them that perhaps they will see the light. Despite what the media inundates our minds with, change does happen. People are able to be delivered from the homosexual lifestyle. Sexual sin is a difficult one to break but all things are possible through Jesus; many have been able to walk away from that lifestyle.

If by chance you cross paths and get to talk with a member of the church. You don't have to compromise your stance. Simply state that the homosexual lifestyle is incompatible with the teachings of the Christian faith. That does not make you a homophobe, a bigot, or any of the other words that people are quick to label christians as. Above all, show love. Would Christ turn his back on sinners? No, but he would instruct them to let go of their sin.

We are all sinners, battling with one issue or the other. Thank God for his grace that saves us when we repent from our sins.
