Good evening Nairalanders,
Pls i want the guru in the house to help with this.
I had a meeting with someone in Nigeria who just "registered his business in dubai" and "said" the advantage includes he has opportunity to bring in 5 people to work with him and now he wants to sell slots for a sum and if i am interested i can partake of it.....and he said that will give me 2 yrs working visa as it is.

From our discussion i gathered that;

1. He has just been to Dubai twice on tourist visa, someone helped him with the registration and he just wanna travel to see his office and all.

2. He has no financial power or will to employ me which means i will have to find my bearing.



lastly some questions i don't want to ask him cos i know the best he can do is to tell me something i want to hear and i know i can gather truth better here.

1. is there any avenue that create such passage to Dubai?

2. if there is and i get a 2yr working visa....is it possible i don't work with him upon entrance and look for job elsewhere or i have to serve a particular period with him b4 i can get job elsewhere?

i just need answers for the 2 questions....pls my people...

2. You are free to go wherever you wish, he has to process your residence permit before 30days of entry elapses.
Its not a scam , ppl do it over here and then look for part time jobs , but I don't know if your man is legit. You can get me the name of the company and i would findout on whose name its registered.

Thanks to all who offer invaluable suggestion on this platform, it was through ur help that I'm gainfully employed in the UAE today... Big shout out to Natty (u r the boss) but I'm still expecting my Burger. Also, thanks to all those who utilize little opportunity to make jest of people, it was you who thought me to be frugal in asking questions.

My advice for anyone with the intention to come here in search of job is to pray, gather enough information and proceed without fear. As I have received so shall I give back. So, I will always be back to contribute and give tangible suggestions... Finally, Dubai is not bread and butter like some people paint it to be and be careful with agents who promise u job on arrival. Most good companies don't need agents to recruit since there is always pool of capable workforce looking for job in Dubai. Back to work..

I have been searching for a job in UAE for sometime now, and i am registered on quite a number of job sites and i have had some phone interviews with some employers but nothing came out of it
Recently someone contacted me from Naukrigulf saying I could fast track my resume on their site by paying a token of $85 and I will be guaranteed a job within 6 months.

I am not totally convinced but I wanna ask the gurus in the house if you have heard of anyone who got a job through Naukrigulf Premium service?

Sorry for the bother. I'm nigwria presently in sa. Trying to visit dubai for 9 days and the agent I used just sent me visa for 2 weeks that expires 2nd April. Meanwhile my ticket reads I should depart on the 8th of April.

yes a 2 weeks visa has a 2 weeks validity before entry and 2 weeks duration after entry. make sure u enter before the date stated on the visa or better still get another visa so u can travel on ur choosen date 8th

thats a serious matter, how come i was not drilled for screen shot nd post a tour company name like i did earlier. look like a black market idea and knowledge of refusing to share secret with someone without offering money.

you were not drilled cos u were seeking information. you can drop verifiable contacts(tel number and office address) and not a middle man's mobile number that do not have a registered office address. because that is how ppl lost money here in the past. so the admin n mods are being careful.

they don't offer u any job directly, they only make ur profile stand out from the rest.

House beware, any employer willing to give u a job wen u r still in Nigeria is supposed to pay everything with regards your entry permit even book a business class ticket for you and wouldn't refer u to another agency. Because they got u cheaper than what they would pay someone already in UAE. Imagine there was a vacancy in our office for a HSE manager, ppl shortlisted for the position didn't accept 15k aed but our HR got someone cheaper she interviewed via Skype and was ready to even go as low as 8000k monthly. He was even given a first class ticket and the dude is very happy here not knowing he is a cheap labour.. The thing is , don't be too desperate , use all job site wisely if you have the money subscribe to bayt, naukrigulf or LinkedIn premium packages. You have better chances getting a job without coming here.

no problem. just send them your documents, then before making payment, send the company name and number so i can verify them from here

The only one I know will require someone to act as your sponsor and please I don't want to ever get involved with anything visa.

hahahhahahhaha. to people in Nigeria, it sounds very easy. wen they come here they run away or don't even talk to u or even tell u to give them money for exit or else they overstay. (Case study: Anthony and Darey. regretted ever knowing them)

getting visa for India, Pakistan, Philipines are the easiest because they are cordinated in a way. but for Africans, who send una. contact any tour company registered in other Emirates other than Dubai and they would get you your visa.

Hello my bro/sis in the house, i have read through this thread over and over again but as we all know that time and policy changes time to time especially now that am ready to apply for my 3months dubai visa through emirate.com but my question is: if after i booked flight with emirate and i proceed to make application for 3months visa, will my payment for flight booking be refunded if d visa is denied?
lastly am i actually eligible for 3 months visa as Nigerian today.

don't boda going tru emirates cos u have to book ur hotel accommodation through them also. Use other tour companies

depends on how large and wide ur tummy n mouth are. Spend according to what u have. Some can b OK with 100aed monthly, while some spend 45aed daily on food.
