Good day house, please me and my friend with her two kids will be going to Dubai next month, I want to know what documents we are to travel with also please what's OTB and how do we go about the yellow fever card. We intend to fly Ethiopian airline, for those that have used them before how is their service. Thanks

1. u need only ur visa and passport to travel to UAE unless you are going for something other dan tourism, den u know what else to get.
2. go to Ministry of Health depending on ur location, or go to Immigration u can also get it. about 1k ± depending on the means (but haven't seen where it's required for ppl going to dubai)
3. OTB means "OK to Board" it's a measure used to verify ur visa against ur pasport details by the airline u are flying, so wen u get ur visa, go to the airline tell dem to verify ur visa den purchase ur ticket and dey would update it to OTB status.
4. Ethiopian Air is very nice u got no worries.

2000 Dirhams is way above that, as at yesterday i withdrew some money, the exchange was 61 Naira per Dirham and even going up cos dollar now is #222 per Dollar. So which change are you talking about wey the money sef no reach.

I need to get 2000aed across to dubai on monday, I wanna send it to a friend and he will use his atm card to withdraw it in dubai. He told me that he will be charged 100aed if he wants to withdraw it using atm. I checked online for d xchange rate, its 54naira to 1dirham. Does this mean I will sending 108000naira+6000naira, making a total of 114k(naira) for him to be able to get that exact 2000aed in dubai. He doesn't kno d current xchange, tho I will tell him to find out.. I don't want a situation wiaby I send d money into his account and it gets tied there I.e not amounting to 2000aed. My entering dubai nxt week is dependent on this cash.. Is my analysis right or som1 shld help me with d breakdown. How much will I send into his account in naija that will make him withdraw 2000aed in dubai Thanks

I've seen this thread like a thousand times, but never really thought I was going to have any business with travelling to the UAE.

I got an invitation to attend a programme in Abu Dhabi, I'll need to be there for just a night or two at most. The organisers emailed me today saying they were unable to secure a for me visa due to age restrictions. I did a little googling & found out Nigerian nationals below the age of 40 are no longer eligible for the UAE visa.

I talked to the institution's local contact in Nigeria & I've been told that there's an agency that can help me with acquiring the visa, even though I'm under 40. I know going through agents is not encouraged here & confirming the genuineness of this agency is a different story all together.

1. My question is, is it possible in anyway for an under 40 year old Nigerian to secure a visa & travel alone?

2. I read some stories about how some people were removed even after boarding.

1.the answer is yes since u have a genuine reason, just have a copy of ur invitation and a hotel reservation, ur BTA and ur visa. den u r off to abu.
2. hmmmmmm no one can ever remove u after boarding. unless u r later flagged as a terrorist

this decision is to b made by u alone. cos u know ur possible future wit ur bank, and ur post and also ur salary. den compare it wit the type of job you were given in Kuwait and also the salary involved, if it can be extended and comes with accommodation?. and also if you job description in Kuwait would be a valid experience accepted anywhere.

I read that Barbados is a visa-free country for Nigerians that visa could be gotten after maybe 60 days or so. Please, how true is this ? How is everything over there ? Life and environment, jobs etc ?

Please I would like to know. Can one really start a family in dubai. Looking at the cost of living nd the average pay of Nigerians. Like hospital bills, school fees and still save.

UAE for ME is a wrong place to start life, unless :-
1. you have lots of money wit you before going there.
2. you got a jumbo salary of about 500k and above.
3. you don't intend having kids, cos schooling in uae is a gold mine.
for short uae is for hustling. Cost of living is high and getting a family accomodation would cost u like 3000dhs monthly which is about 160k.
