TravelRe: Canada Spouse Open Work Permit (sowp)timeline by Nayaaaaa: 12:11pm On Oct 18, 2021
Good day everyone. Sorry to be asking these questions but can anyone direct me to steps to applying for sowp and the documents needed The sowp thread isn't like the sp thread. After ppr for the pa what next. Must the pa travel and procure study permit or can he start applying from Nigeria ASAP considering that he already deferred to January. Is there any advantages of submitting from inside Canada. Course is just 8months too. Can he defer again cos he really needs to travel with wife and child? Can the spouse use a sponsor?

I was given somethinglike this.

Thanks again
dotoracs:
This is an evident example. They will even inform IRCC of its CAD equivalence at the interbank market rate. Although, this is a letter issued in 2020 before the last Naira devaluation.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by Nayaaaaa: 10:31am On Jul 02, 2021
Thanks
dotoracs:
It's not on the MBS list. Usually, IRCC sends them a letter to confirm the said balances and current availability of the funds and they officially respond through their legal department. That's where my POFs are too.

It will end in praise.

Congrats to all the ppr holders, dear all I'm sorry to rain on your parade, my friend just got a refusal today. 2nd time applicant. He's 27. Has a sister schooling in Canada.
1st refusal
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
2nd refusal
Now they’re saying that they’re not sure he'd come back based on his personal assets and financial status
Please gurus help, anybody please

Theres nothing like car deed pls... A car is not an asset cos it depreciates. Are you using an agent?

You can show hometies with husband- marriage certificate, hometies with children- birth certificates. With the whole family with family pictures. With work- employment letter, pay slips and/or study leave letter

If you mean tuition deposit as acceptance fee, its part of your tuition fee so you can pay. Both can be paid together or separately but ensure you are aware of the school's refund policy

What's the name of the college

No, I don't, I decided to forego that option. I registered with CES instead of WES. That's going to take the need for IJMB out of the equation.
Please can CES evaluate PGD alone, I already have a BSC evaluation from ICES.

Hello Veleta, unizik is insisting that they don't send transcript via email that it has to be courier. Please advise
veleta:
Get your transcript ready first then create ICES account, make payment then send your school the reference no so they can add it as subject of the email before sending to ICES.Remember it's your school's official email adress.

This is the ICES email address:icesinfo@bcit.ca.I would advise you go through ICES website for a more detailed process for the application. Its for your own good

Hey Jayooh, please kindly advise on best path for me to follow. I have just gotten my IELTS test scores. I have a bsc in geology and 4 years experience as a customer service manager in a bank . With what you just said is it wise to assess as a customer service manager considering my geology background? Sir bellong andother veterans in the house kindly assist
jayooh:
No reason in particular, but I have seen people cry about being rejected by VETASSESS, but rarely with EA. At worst they "EA" will offer you an alternative occupation while VETASSESS gives outright negative outcome. Request for a 1year highly relevant employment related to nominated occupation by VETASSESS is another downside. In some reject letter, you will see something like, your qualification was assessed as positive and your employment is negative (or vice versa), therefore overall outcome becomes negative. Your qualification and experience must be positive to get a positive assessment with VETASSESS.

So for someone that studied engineering and has been working in a bank for better part of the years, best to just go with EA. Believe me, but not to say I can't be wrong though
TravelRe: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Nayaaaaa: 7:15am On Jul 24, 2018
Good day guys. Please do you think I will get a positive assessment from VETASSESS as a customer service manager with 4 years of experience in a bank and a Geological sciences degree. Please ur response is appreciated.

TravelRe: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Nayaaaaa: 7:35pm On Jul 07, 2018

My sister, we are in this together. Please let's roll together. My Oga also thinks it's my headache . As a matter of fact, I've been doing 70% of the thing. The only thing is work experience in lack in my field will hinder me from being the principal applicant. Kindly let's roll together. My hubby too studied Electronics and Computer Engineering and has been working for close to 7 years now

Cc trastar, bellong and other house members.

Please assist with my husband's job anzsco code. I have searched their site and I don't seem to know what occupation he falls into. He studied electronics and electrical engineering. he worked as a field service engineer for 6 years and has worked as a regional technical officer for a year still in the same establishment. Their company manages the power aspect of telecommunication masts etc.

Please help a sister. Oga has decided that this PR thing is my headache.....
TravelRe: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Nayaaaaa: 9:14am On Jul 02, 2018
Thanks trastar for the quick response. How much do you think a family of three would pay?
trastar:
2.5 million for Visa application if you have a family of 4-5, yes.
But this is what i always say to people, the process is such that your victories are in stages and the fee for the smaller victories isnt that much.
English test is a victory-cost about 55k
EA assessment another victory- the most important hurdle to cross -cost about 300k (if i am not mistaken).
By the time you have spent this almost 500k and you are receiving the good news of ITA.
Like a letter from Australia saying "Madam, you are eligible, pay for visa"- 2.5M will be the least of your worries.
Its like being pregnant and going into labour-the joy of what comes after labour is too big compared to the pain of labour.

On the issue of what to assess as, the truth is, you really need to read the thread.
I am also hoping our engineers in the house can help.
Also, you may want to wait with assessment for now. New occupation list will be out in July.
wait to see whats on it before applying.

Good day everyone in the house. I have been following this thread from part 1 (although I didn’t finish because the thread is too long) and I have some questions. We want to use my husband as principal applicant
Age: 33
Education: Bsc Electical and Electronics Engineering
Years of experience: 7+ NYSC 8
English test: not yet
His work experience is in telecommunications site management, now he’s a regional manager in the same job. We don’t know what profession to use. And what states to apply to. Q Secondly, someone said I shouldn’t bother with Australian pr that it costs about 2.5mill for application. Can someone please confirm or refute this claim
